"Good job Ravenclaws!" Silvia said when Louisa and Beezus had finished, glad that everything seemed to have gone very smoothly for them. She hoped it was good enough to earn them a few house points. |
Cleaning? Well..well..well... Even though it was not one of her favourite activities, Lea believed she could do that perfectly as she could do everything so. Practicing got a bit time but was not difficult for her. And when the time for the main activity came, all her house spirits were awakened!!! She wanted to volunteer for the Gryffindor team but...oh well!!! The players were already chosen by the professor. Kurumi and...this girl. HAHAHAHA!!! Kurumi was definitely the person for cleaning. Folding her arms, the dark-haired girl eyed her house team. ''GO AND BEAT EVERYONE GRYFFINDOR!! WE'RE GONNA CRUSH THEM!!'' |
Laura just sat there, she wasn't going to cheer anyone on, she was too bored to do that, she would just watch and see what happens, hopefully something exciting would. |
Argh. They were almost there. Just a little more effort, and they should have this in the bag. As she said before, they expected nothing less than a first place finish. "Come on, snakes!" she said, encouraging the ones who were still going. She eyed the one kid that asked for a bottle of water. What did he think they were, house elves? Dear Merlin. She'd hate to see him in an actual duel. "Just a little more effort! Come on! We got this!" ...and just to make sure, she looked around at the other houses to make sure they were't getting ahead. |
YEAH!!! Penny jumped up and pumped her fist in the air. "Go RAVENCLAW!" She walked over to her Prefect Louisa and the third year Beezus and gave them both big hugs. They had completed the task beautifully and in record time, well at least she hoped it was record time. "Nice job guys!" |
Nate watched eagerly as the Ravenclaws cleaned up the room, bouncing in place with excitement. "Come on, Ravenclaw!" he would yell sporadically, spending more of his spectator time simply feeling anxious. They'd better win this, especially since they were already down five points, and they were the only house that had lost any so far that term. And, Nate assumed, it was probably a first year. He had made the same sort of point-losing mistakes in his early years, too, and he didn't even nearly expect to be perfect that term. Nonetheless, this was a time to win house points, not think about losing them. "You can do this, come on!" he called out, clapping more as his anxiety left him. Beezus and Louisa were fast with this, and Nate was sure that they had this in the bag. Still, all he could do was watch and wait from the sidelines, having missed his chance to volunteer himself for the competition. It still came down to Professor Bellaire's hourglass, though. |
Violet was about to clean the room as well. Already, she had seen her fellow Ravenclaw students folding up piles of clothing and also sweeping the floor too! "Um. Um. I would love to help, but I forgot the charm we were supposed to use to clean to fold the clothes. Am I still allowed to help?" Violet asked anxiously. She had slacked off a bit during the beginning of the class and was now determined to be part of the team work. |
Gideon listened to Kurumi as she laid out the plan to pick their team from those volunteering to be the two to pick. The boy nodding in understanding to both her ideas and Selina's opinion when she added it to the mix. However neither option would be put into place for soon Professor Bellaire's voice rang through the classroom once more. Apparently they had went over the time allotted for picking their teams and seemed to be the only house without the two who would go. Two names were chosen by the professor at random from the volunteers and instructed to begin the activity. Gideon just hoped both of them had been serious in their stepping forward and hadn't been tentative since they now didn't have much choice. "Go Kurumi!" he encouraged his fellow prefect and friend to give support to his housemates. "Go Oichi!" Gideon added remembering the younger girl's first name to correspond with the last name the professor had given. |
Watching his two teammates in action he called over "GO SNAKES!" They looked like they were doing good, much better then his spinning broom. Tilting his head he stepped a little to the right to see better "GO SNAKES!" |
Seeing as her house HAD THIS IN THE BAG, jumping around and clapping and hollering out "LETS GO SLYTHERIN!" every so often seemed to be the appropriate thing to do, so Ellowyn did it. |
Hannah was very proud of her house and glad to see that they were starting off term with a bang. They couldn't lose the house cup again and they really couldn't lose to the Puffers again. That was embarassing and hard to cope with. Still she was impressed by her housemates. They had this in the bag. "Let's go Slytherins! We got this!" She couldn't help but to get a little bit excited over everything. |
Penelope had kept quiet while everyone was volunteering. She hadn't really gotten the spell as well as the others, and she wasn't going to make a fool of herself by volunteering to do it in front of everyone. So she merely watched as the chosen students went up and started working on cleaning the room, choosing not to add to the rest of the rather annoying, noisy cheering going on from the rest. |
post 6! *sorry its so long XD* SPOILER!!: long text |
Theodore watched the other boy work his stuff, but was side-tracked as he heard that the RAVENCLAWS had finished first. WHAT. How could they have possibly finished already? Those bloody Ravenclaws. Theo just didn't click with Ravenclaws. Annoying. He sent them a few glares, but then averted his attention back to their own room. It was looking spic-and-span. They had to win for effort. This was EXTRA effort. When the other boy started saying different spells, Theo took a mental note of them, and would be sure to write it down later. Yesshh, more spells. "YAY. WE FINISHED." Theo held his hand up to the dude, who's name he did not know, for a high five. "Nice job, duuuuuuude." Then he turned to the Slytherins, expecting a round of applause... Even though they didn't win... Erm. Gold star, please....? |
"WOO!!" Zhenya cheered! The snakes were finished! Zhenya jumped up and down to cheer her house on, so they knew they did AWESOME! |
Daichi & Theo Kennedy did a fist bump in the air as both kids finished their duties. The Prefect had not even noticed what the other houses were doing since he was solely focused on his housemates. He was proud of both of them for demonstrating excellent workmanship and of course pride for their house. "Great job, guys!" Kennedy grinned, lifting both hands up for high fives. They deserved it and more. Like them being announced winners and getting those...stars. Stickers. Whatever the other prize was. |
post 1 for Gryffindor OLDER students Kurumi continued to look around the pride of lions gathered in their corner of the room wondering what all they were going to do when... Quote:
"Y-Yes, professor," Kurumi said offering the woman a polite bow before turning her attention to her lioness partner and giving her a quick thumbs up. Kurumi then scrambled after the broom and picked it up before fetching another one. Merlin....TWO brooms... At least this wasn't a Flying lesson, right? Kurumi probably would have broken out in rashes by now if they were being told they had to straddle two brooms while flying around. Professor Vindictus better not be able to read minds...from where ever he was on campus... Refocusing, Kurumi leaned both brooms against the wall and pondered being able to charm them both at once or not. She usually worked with only one object at a time, unless they were cookies, so this could be a little tricky but all she needed to do was focus, right? Erm....hopefully. Wand at the ready, Kurumi pointed it at the two brooms and took a deep breath, trying to visualize them both springing to life Both brooms began to shake violently and Kurumi held her breath while she waited and hoped for the spell to take hold - which it did. Thank Merlin. Both brooms stood straight up, bouncing in place Do do do dodododo do do do... |
Derrick headed over to where there were Gryffindors were and looked at Kurumi.Looks like she was representing Gryffindor.Looks like they had someone good going for them.''Go Kurumi.''He said excitedly. |
Sorry about The Wait. OOC: I attempted this post a couple of times but I had internet and timing issues. But here is the post at long last. Wow, the professor jusmy entire chose me to represent my entire house in a competition of the houses. Oh my gosh, can I even do this? Oichi could hear the cheers from her housemates. I can do this, I must do this. But that spell, I have not even mastered it yet...... But I can and I will master the the spell. Oichi picked up her wand and went toward the pile. It's go time. She noticed Kurumi was doing her part and grinned. It's my turn. Oichi raised her wand and tapped it on on a pair of pants, "Plic Vestimenta", Oichi said with conviction concentrating hard on folding the pants. It happened right before her very eyes, the pants folded perfectly. She felt so happy she had done it but there was no time for a victory dance. She began to tap about a dozen more objects and and said that same spell with just as much conviction and got the same result. She kept going and the bed was cleared in no time. When she finished she almost could not believe it was her handiwork. She felt giddy and light headed at the same time and roced back and forth but did her best not to fall. That certainly was not gonna last much longer. |
Huh-Oh.. Yes, I will not be late again professor Oh No! The activity! I really wanted to see it. I resolve to never be late to the class again! Oh well, They have almost done it!! Yay! Go Gryffindor!! Go Paulidine and Kurumi!! I wish I could master these spells as well as they do! |
Sarah grinned broadly as Kurumi charmed both the brooms to work. She clapped enthusiastically along with the other lions. The brooms cleaned harmoniously. "Great job Kurumi!" she called out loudly. Hopefully, the lions should lead this year. |
Post 2 for OLDER (post 3 in total for Gryffindor) Kurumi continued to hum as she skipped next to the pair of brooms as they continued to sweep their way across the floor. She tried not to blush too noticeably when she heard her housemates cheering her and Oichi, but it was sort of hard since Kurumi was just not one to take compliments well...ever. No matter who they came from, which was usually a downfall of the Gryffindor's. Not very Gryffindor at all come to think of it... Kurumi getting distracted by her own thoughts was causing the brooms to sweep erratically, crashing into one another and sending the dust that they had just been sweeping into a pile all over the place. Kurumi only realized this when she began to cough as the dust particles filled her nose and poisoned her taste buds. "KYAA!" she squeaked, twirling her wand in her hand for a moment before refocusing on the two brooms. She was able to get one of them back under control rather easily, but the other was proving to be a little more difficult and went spinning off on the opposite direction of her intention, causing the Gryffindor to furrow her brow in frustration. While the one broom continued to sweet, Kurumi whipped her wand towards the rogue broom. "Finite!" The broom immediately feel forward onto the ground making a soft clanging noise. Better to just start over with that one, right? Checking on the other one, which seemed to be following directions and sweeping dirt towards her desired location, Kurumi repeated the swish and clockwise wand movement from before. "Liberum Arbitrium Broom." The broom sprung to life again, sweeping in musical rhythm with Kurumi's humming and made its way across the room towards where the other broom was waiting for its friend to catch up so they could continue to sweep together towards the corner. Merlin there was a lot of dust....and candy wrappers...and....things that Kurumi really didn't want to know what they were. Was that owl droppings? |
Text Cut: CassiopeiaAKTF and verbain "Yes!" Sierra said, and fist pumped into the air. She was way too competitive, and finishing this was almost like a Quididtch victory to her. Well, they hadn't finished first, but they should win. They really should. If for no other reason than just for the fact that they were awesome Slytherins. That counted for something, right? "Good job, snakes," she said with a grin. Maybe the professor didn't see that Ravenclaw had finished, and if she hadn't, then Sierra wouldn't be the one to point it out. |
Adarian smiled and clapped, he didnt know his fellow snakes that well but the Theo boy was in his year! So he was very glad that his House did so well. "Congrats on the good effort ya'll!" He knew that this was the best House and we would all band together to congratulate the guys win or lose. |
Ira was almost bouncing. "Come on Lions!!" she cheered on her house mates. They had to win this! They just HAD to! "Oichi! yayy!! You can do it!" The name Oichi very much reminded Ira of Daichi.. who also was in the competition. She almost cheered for him too, but stopped as soon as she remembered that he was in the opposite team!house. So nope! No cheering for Daichi. "Come on Kurumi!!" She cheered on the Gryffindor prefect. |
