"Well that is horrible. If you show me who she is I am pretty good at transfiguration I could change her hair into a horrible hair do and color for you!" Minerva said trying to cheer her friend up. "I am so sorry about this Justin, but we are young there will be many girls in your future. Sometimes I don't see the point in relationships at our age." Minerva was trying to cheer her friend up without showing her own irritation on the relationship topic.

" Thanks, Minnie, but that won't be necessary. Besides we're still friends. I think it's just that I was sooooo excited when she told me that she liked me back. It's not like I was ready to propose or anything. She was the most beautiful thing that I had ever laid eyes on. And besides maybe once we hang out more we can be more than friends. Not that I'm banking on that happening, but you never know. " Justin said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Aaron couldn't help hearing a conversation between two first years and couldn't keep himself from wandering over either.
He stood between them, leaning on their shoulders. But after just a few seconds he decided that he was too tall for that and got up before he fell over.

He put on a wise old-man-face, 'I couldn't help hearing what you two were just talking about, ickle firsties.' He nodded and stared out into the distance, it made him feel smart. Or something like that. It's just what people in Muggle movies did when they were about to say some wise things. 'I must tell you that payback is not an option.'
Aaron made a dramatic pause and let out a relaxed hum before picking up where he'd left, not sure where he was going with this.
'I've noticed- well my cousin told me- that girls hate it when you ignore them. I SAY THAT'S THE WAY TO GO!' He stretched out his arms like superman. He felt pretty smart right about now.

"You are right and how could anyone not enjoy spending time with you." Minerva always loved spending time with her friend Justin. She was glad they had become friends. "Plus just think not having a girlfriend means you get to flirt with any girl you want and meet as many as you can without someone smothering you." Did she just say smoother out loud.. "What can I do to cheer you up?"

Justin just looked at Aaron with a blank expression, " Really, that seems kind of dumb to me. How many girlfriends did you get with that racket. " Justin said as he gave Aaron a look that said ' I'm listening' , but he had to make it look like he thought it was a bad idea because Minnie was there.

"Oh really now!" Minerva had seen this boy before in classes even though she didn't know his name. "Please tell us of wise older student. Oh and by the way are you off the sugar high yet?"

" Well, in case you haven't noticed . I'm not a Casanova sitting here. I did have my eye on another girl , but Rose was obviously my first choice. not to mention I'd prefer not to labelled as a serial dater. I think I'll just take it easy and see what happens. By the way , You just sitting here with me and talking is helping alot. Maybe I could introduce you to Rose. I think you'd get along great. " said Justin.


" Easy, Minnie. His name is Aaron he's an okay guy. I've talked to him a few times . He's always been decent to me. " Justin said as he tried to break the tension.

'Does it now?' Aaron asked, who were they to just ignore his SUPREME knowledge? This didn't sound right. 'It's anything but dumb, my son. You know, cause their minds work in some odd way. It seems a bit like a Confundus charm, the way their kind think. So just ignore them and they'll come crawling back to you!'

Aaron thought he'd made his idea sound great. He should go into advertising or something difficult like that when he was older.
'Of course not advertising. We need danger.' He mumbled to himself before remembering the two first years. 'Girlfriends? Me? Oh, loads want me. But I'm a lone ranger, too busy for any of that mishmash.'

He nodded, why waste his time on such matters?

Sugar. He liked that. 'Sugar high? Ah, you're quite wrong my fair maiden, I am immune to the effects of sugar. But thank you, I am very wise and old.' Well, he wasn't old. But he was sorta old. His birthday was almost here! HE WAS ALMOST 16! That was legit old. 'Sugar gets high on me.'

Damien sauntered into the Hufflepuff Common room with a newly aquired messenger bag hanging over his shoulder and across his chest. In his hand was the thin-made book he'd found in Diagon Alley while thumbing through the third hand book shop. The memory of Daisy walking with him, helping him search for titles came back and he made a mental note to try and look for her. He thought she'd might be a Ravenclaw student, however, this particular Hufflepuff didn't know any such students. Perhaps he'd ask Lockhart whenever he ran into him next.

With book in hand, and messenger bag over shoulder, the sixth year strolled over to one of the study tables near the rear of the Common Room. After setting his bag down by the chair, Damien sat and opened the book for the first time, nervous about what he might find written in its old parchment pages. It could be helpful, it could be nothing at all.

But there was only one way to find out.

So he read.

" Aaron, you have got to be the craziest cat I've ever met. Now , I was listening . Does that really work? " Justin whispered to Aaron so Minnie couldn't hear him. " How long does it take for her to come crawling back? "

Maybelle looked around, her shoes still around her neck. She slipped them on and went up on the pointes of her feet. She did a small twirl and saw a person she thought she recognized. She looked at him and saw Damien. She walked on her pointes over to him. "Ello, Damien." She said, curtsying. She liked being on her pointe shoes. She hoped her ankles wouldn't give out, because she did not practice at all this last summer.

'Meow.' Aaron said, a crazy cat sounded good.
And sorta dodgy. Like some street cat that'd follow him home and scare him when he was a 6 year old. But he'd show that cat who was the crazy cat now.
Aaron grinned and whispered back, 'not long, just wait and see, sir. Wait. And. See.'

" Thanks , Mate! I'll give it a try." said Justin as he went to shake Aaron's hand.

Looking up at the sound of his name, Damien was in the presence of Maybelle. He smiled, about to greet her in return, but the looked to the ground to noticed her feet. "Maybelle," he began, Irish accent flowing as he spoke. "Tell me, why are you standing up on your toes like that? Looks like it might hurt just a bit..."

He folded the top corner of the page he was reading and closed the book. Maybelle reminded Damien of Isobel's brother and the right hook the kid tended to throw at guys who dated his sister. Mind you, Maybelle wasn't as violent, but it was one of those -- sensory memories if you will. If you see, smell, taste of feel something that could remind you of memories --

-- Sensory memories.

Interesting thought.

"Oh really, thats what the Dr. Pepper was doing in class today being High on you? Justin are you really going to listen to this boy I mean Aaron." Minerva rolled her eyes at what he was saying to Justin.

" Minnie , it's just two blokes talking. Besides, you know how girls think I don't. Plus, he's older...more experienced in the art of dating. Don't get all worked up about it. " He said as he put his arm around her and gave her a friendly squeeze. " I'm not trying to scam her. "

Aaron spazzed out dramatically, not sure why, but he felt it was appropriate to the sugar high-blaming-thing Minerva was talking to him about. He wasn't sugar high, sugar just made him excited. Or something like that?

'Nah, me and Dr Pepper go way back. We were just having some fun.' Aaron said and patted the girl on her shoulder. 'Of course he will, it's the truuuuth.' He made some spooky noises to back his point.

Aaron hung back relaxed. 'Exaaaactly! Minnie, Minnie, Minnie...' he started, not sure what he was going to say. 'Biggie biggie biggie.' He sniggered to himself. 'That was, of course, in no way meant to insult you, dear Minnie. But... well, I have nothing more to say. Care for some toffees?'
He stuck his hand into one of his pockets and took out a handful of toffees, not exactly sure how long they'd been in there. But they looked alright for the most part.

"Oh I will say I agree with him on one thing. Ignore her. Anyone who would be mean to you is not worth your time.." She looked at both boys. "Ok wise one I have a question for you." She mid as well ask, anyway Aaron wouldn't know what she was talking about, she just hoped Justin wouldn't catch on. "So what does someone do if they are lets say in a relationship and the one person is smothering the other one? Like always trying to touch them, hold hands, hug that kind of thing, oh and always making comments to them being in a relationship?"

Maybelle looked down at her shoes. Then shrugged. "Nope, not at all. I was training to do this." She grinned, doing a pretty ballerina twirl. She sank down in the chair, then untied the shoes. She rubbed her feet. Not doing that in a long time kind of hurt.

Unfortunately Justin had noticed Minnie's growing frustration with his friend, but he had kept it to him self. He didn't want to be sticking his nose in their business. Personally he thought that his friend was being a bit too clingy. " Oh , don't worry . You know that I've been raised right. My mum would never approve of such behavior. " justin said to Minnie.

A smile came across Minerva's face. "Well you could give her that Hate Potion from Potions class. That should help, right.. Oh wait that's revenge again isn't it Aaron and I guess you don't want her to hate you, maybe you could find the love potion instead." The sarcasm was all over the last sentence. As Minerva laughed at her own words.

Damien nodded his head once before raising an eyebrow. "Training?" he asked. "To stand on your toes? On the tip of your toes?" Has everyone gone and taken a crazy draught? He made a mental note to conjure his own drinks and food from now on.

"I'm not sure I understand," he continued, watching as she sat down wth him, taking the shoes off. "Why would you -- train to do something like that?"

" Minnie, you're wicked ...I love it ! So, You having a hard time too? " asked Justin. Now it was his turn to play the role of Psychiatrist.

Maybelle looked at Damien. "it's a type of dance. And if you don't train, you can do baaad things to your feet." She kept rubbing her feet, which were now very sore. She was surprised she hadn't rolled her ankle. "Girls train for dance. These are dance shoes. " She stated. Trying to un-confuse Damien.

Minerva blushed at this question. "The better question is what am I not have a hard time with. Classes are over whelming me, I'm not very good at many spells except for Transfiguration, and Harvey, well where do I begin. Don't get me wrong I do like him, but he is starting to drive me a little crazy. Well you saw the other night. All he does is put his arm around me, hold my hand and if he's not doing that he is making it VERY known we are together. Always bringing it up." She felt bad for even talking bad about Harvey he was so nice. "Oh and don't get me started about him never having a brain of his own always what I want. I'm eleven I don't know what I want..."
