He sat, just as the Captain wanted.

"No, we haven't had a lot to celebrate for several years now, actually. We've been in fourth for the House Cup... I've lost track how many terms in a row. I just don't get it. We work hard and it doesn't pay off."

He'll be lying if he said he wasn't tired, but at least he didn't seem to be, which was always good.

The Prefect move a chair closer to Keefer and Kita, magically of course, and took a seat next to them. "Everyone did an amazing job out there, that's reason enough to celebrate." For whatever reason he was holding a smile. That was reason enough to be celebrate, truth be told, the fact that they got all the way through the end. So what if they didn't win and were on the last place for the House Cup? The Hufflepuffs had actually behaved this term, and no one died, as the Headmaster wanted.

He got it, though, why Kita would be sad, after all, this was her last term. "You were incredible, you know that?" he said, eyes on Kita.

Minerva walked into the common room. What a disappointing game, but the team did a great job. She smiled at her housemates and went and sat down.

Janice rushed to the Common Room as soon as she got the message saying that Captain wants to meet the Team there. She stormed in, and to her surprise, everybody was there, most probably looking at her awkwardly as she panted.

"Hi," she said sheepishly.

Kita couldn't help but smile at the girl. She really appreciated people trying to make her feel better. "Some wise words there Violet," she said, "Thank you for cheering for us! That means a lot to me." It really did. House pride was always welcomed with this seventh year. "By the way, did you set up the party?" she asked eyeing all the decorations.



But then the sound of someone shouting towards her and the team around her made Kita turn her attention towards the girl who was... why in the name of merlin was she standing on the table? Okay... maybe she was just a bit happy. Or excited. Or hyper.

Kita, deciding to be the good Hufflepuff that she was, smiled at the girl and shouted back, "Thank you! We appreciate your support!" And... that's all she was going to say. Apologies couldn't be shouted across the room. No no.



And... Lyssie hadn't said anything. Kita turned to look at the girl. Was she that upset with her Captain? Or ashamed? Maybe she was just sad? Either way, Kita wrapped her arms around the girl and gave her a big squeeze. "I'm really sorry, Lyssie," she whispered. The girl must be so disappointed in her. So many expectations and now... But Kita wasn't going to dwell on that just yet.



Kita nodded as she listened along to what Keefer said. For a fifth year, he sure was smart. Or maybe Kita was just dumb. Meh. "You're right," she said, sighing, "We do! We work so hard for those points and yet... things just don't add up." Okay, Kita hadn't earned that many points for her house but Keefer didn't need to know that. "Maybe it's because we don't have that many students in our house? I mean, look at Slytherin. There are loads of students earning points for them!"



The sound of a boy talking made Kita lean forwards and look at the boy who was sitting close to her, Keefer and Lyssie. Treyen. The Prefect looked... better. At least he wasn't talking about Snidgets now. "You're right," she said, "You all did an amazing job out there. Well done!" Of course, some stuff would be said in a bit... after a couple more team members decide to drop by. "And we've given the rest of the house something to celebrate about," A small smile formed on her lips as she looked around at the decorations. It was all so incredible!

And... Treyen was saying that someone was incredible. Kita looked at him, ready to agree when she realised that he was looking right at her. HUH?! SHE wasn't incredible at all. Wasn't Treyen their last Seeker? He was better than her. Definitely. "I... thank you Treyen but... i wasn't," she said, looking down at her nails, "My best just wasn't good enough today."



And... here was another team member. Kita looked up and smiled as Janice stormed into the room, panting slightly. Why? Had she ran or something? They weren't THAT exciting to be around! Unless... she was rushing, thinking she was late for Kita's surprise meeting. Meh.

"Hai, Janice!" Kita said, smiling up at the girl, "Grab a chair and come sit." She might as well be comfortable, after all.

[For the team...]

Kita's eyes wandered over to the door. It didn't look like anyone else was coming. Meh. She might as well say what she needed to say before it was too late. Kita stood up and smiled down at her team members. This... was... hard...

"So i might as well say what i want to say before... well... before it's too late," Meaning before she leaves and forgets about saying something to them, "Er... i guess, i just wanted to thank you all for bearing with me this term. It can't have been easy, especially with the Captain change halfway through the year. But you all dealt with it really well and i'm glad. Another thing: i don't think you know how proud i am with each and every one of you. You showed some real dedication out there and you were all sooo amazing!" ... She really needed to stop making these speeches. Especially if they're going to make her cry. "Thank you to you subs for playing when you weren't on the original roster. You've saved me countless number of times! And the members of the original roster for being so understanding. I'm an owl away, if any of you need me. Keep on playing Quidditch. You could be great stars one day. And if you are, i expect free tickets, okay?" Really? This wasn't a time to JOKE! "Just... thank you for everything. And i'm sorry to have let you down today. If i could come back next year and do this all again, i would. But i can't so... i'm sorry." Kita smiled warmly at each of them before sitting down. Her task was done.

Alyssa start sobbing uncontrollably when Kita started her speech. She was going to make sure that Kita didn't leave this place without knowing how much she meant to all of them. So she stood up, trying to control her tears and wiped her nose with her hand before saying. "Kita everybody knows how hard to you tried to put this team together and we all know that it hasn't been easy. Despite all odds against us, we made it to the Championships. Remember we beat Ravenclaw the first time with only 4 players and I still can't believe we did that. But we wouldn't have gotten to the Championships without your leadership and your skills as a Seeker. We couldn't have done it without you. I don't know about the others, but I'm going to miss you very much and I just wish that I had more time to spend with you. I just wish that I had come to Hogwarts sooner. Just know that I will always consider you my big sister and best friend, and will always remember you, even if you no longer remember us.

Now Everyone. Let's all stand up and raise your glasses of pop, if you don't have any, just raise your hands and say after me.

KITA YOU ARE THE BEST!! YOU NEVER LET US DOWN!! YOU KEPT US GOING WHEN WE HAD LOST ALL HOPE!! YOU ARE TRULY A GREAT CAPTAIN AND A GREAT FRIEND AND WE WILL ALL MISS YOU!!"

Alyssa then sat down and started to cry.

Minerva went up to both Kita and Alyssa. "Great Job today." Minerva smiled at the girls. "Kita your amazing. You came to the rescue when I was really bad with Gobestones and You are amazing on your broom. I'm really glad I got to know you this year." Minerva then looked at Alyssa "You are great on a broom as well Alyssa. Your are going to be amazing in the years to come."

'Hufflepuffs!' Salima shouted 'We are SUPERMEGAFOXYAWSOMEHOT and FUN!' Salima began to eat chocolate frogs.

Now what. Now there was some midget Puff singing, surely Sammy wasn't that bad a singer that Amy could put up with the little puff and not her. And it appeared some sort of celebration was starting ... why? They had lost the Quidditch grand final, why was everyone so NORMAL. They weren't happy nor were they particularly upset. WEIRD. Since Sammy was on a mission to not waste her voice she grabbed her bag, pulled out a notebook and a pen before writing "I'm gonna head down to the Whomping Willow" and showing it to Amy, giving her enough time to read it and decide whether she wanted to come with before grabbing her bag, shoving the notebook and pen back in and practically skipping away. She wanted to play jump n' duck with the willow because she was turning into a professional at it.

Maybelle had walked into the common room, after she changed into her Hufflepuff clothes, which were specially made to look like they did. Seeing most of the team (Or the people she could see), and automatically she was sad. They lost, again! Seeing Kita made her smile, because she was a great captain. Maybelle ran up to Kita and threw her arms around the Captain. "I'm going to miss you, Kita!" She exclaimed, and squeezed her tighter. And thoughts flooded through her mind so quickly that tears began to fall from Maybelle's eyes. Great, now she was crying and it was going to smear her makeup and get all over Kita's clothes.

Oh, he rolled his eyes. Honestly. She did an amazing job, however, he understood how scary Evelyn could be and it wasn't easy to be chasing for a snitch when your opponent was her. "I...probably should've gotten out of the way, Kita. I'm sorry." Yeah, he kind of forgot that both seekers fell to the ground tagging him along.

But then she started to address everyone, or at least the team...and...he blinked, repeatedly, as she spoke.

A sweet smile was on his face by the time she had finished, and even if he wanted to say that some of the things she said were just wrong...he didn't, why? Because it didn't matter anymore. She was leaving this term. "Thank you." One moment, please, he wasn't done yet. "It mustn't have been easy to step up to 'Captain' and become one for such a short amount of time, but thanks for taking the time and effort to do so." Every single Hufflepuff Captain has done a great job. Always.

"But there's nothing to be sorry for, Kita." He wasn't accepting that 'sorry', it made no sense at all. "You didn't let us down." Mainly because Quidditch was nowhere near his plans for the term...so, he hadn't been expecting anything. But if he had, he'd still have felt the same way. She'd been amazing. No need to apologize for anything.

Maybelle turned and saw Treyen. She reluctantly released her grip from Kita, and threw her arms around Treyen. She was feeling particularly huggy after this game. Though she really had no reason for hugging Treyen, seeing as he was a sixth year, like Maybelle. But, she felt the need to hug everyone. She released Treyen and blushed, "Sorry, I just felt like I needed to hug the team." Her cheeks became hotter, and knew they were bright red, almost like her hair. "We all did brilliantly, and I feel like I should have played in more of the matches." It was true, Maybelle only played in this game for the term, but she had gotten ill, or had to many piles of homework to have played in the games this season. But next year she will be more into the games, even with having to take her NEWTs.

Wait, what?

Blink.

He felt arms around him and, since it had happened so fast, he had no idea who it was...until he noticed the red hair and was released. She felt the need to hug the team? And was Treyen the entire team? He still smiled, and chuckled lightly, "I...don't see why you have to apologize for a hug...," really, what was there to apologize for? Maybelle was just acting like Kita, apologizing for things that were never meant to have apologies or something like that.

And she was blushing? Honestly, she didn't have to be embarrassed by the hug. He decided to let the blushing go by, as if unnoticed, even if he did notice. Everyone would.

About the other matches, "At least you got to play in this one." Which was kind of an important match.

Alyssa walked up to Treyen. "Hi, Treyen. I just wanted to tell you that played well today. You helped keep the final score at a respectable level. I just wish that we had won this year but we still have next year right? Anyway, I hope that you'll be playing again next term. I hope to try out too. Hopefully, I'll get picked. I do love the game. I just wish that Kita was still here though. I am going to miss her."

When was the last time Janice had tears running down her chin? Maybe when she was 6, when her dog died? Yeah. But she just couldn't help it now. All these emotional scene when the BEST AND AWESOMEST CAPTAIN IN THE WORLD IS LEAVING is tearing her down to pieces. She got up her chair and hugged Cap hard.

"We'll miss you," she said between her sobs. "Really."
