Another History of Magic class meant more chances for students to lose points, more chaos, and perhaps even more apples. As you make your way toward the classroom you notice a note tacked onto the door.
I shall arrive shortly. Take a seat, don't make too much noise, and killing any of your classmates is not allowed. - Profesor Scabior
Inside the class the desks have been rearranged for the new year. Instead of the standard placement the desks have all be moved so that they formed a connecting semi-circle facing the board and Professor Scabior's desk.
OCC: Class will not start until 6pm EST tomorrow (Thursday) so feel free to post your character arriving. Just please keep chatting to a minimum. CLASS HAS STARTED! Do not post your character late (if you want to join just act as if your character was there the whole time!). And do NOT edit your posts with answers. Doing both will result in loss of points.

Walking into History of Magic, Stella was determined that her feeling of everything having started over was going to continue. Everything with Matt was good, she was confident that she'd pass all her end-of-term exams, and she was going to make sure she continued earning points in lessons and not losing them. Positive thinking always made things better, and there had been a time before the holidays when she'd forgotten that. She wasn't going to forget it again this year, though, even if they were going to be tossing apples around or anything in this lesson like the last one.
Noticing the note on the door as she passed it, she shrugged slightly even as she questioned the last part of the message. Okay, so Professor Scabior isn't here yet. At least I'm not one of the people who keep staring at him. And I'm not about to kill anyone either, she thought, continuing into the room to find a seat. Choosing one near the center of the semi-circle, just so she'd be able to pretty much see everyone who came or went, she quietly took a seat. At least there were quite a few other Ravenclaws there already, and maybe Matt would show up. Either way, she was going to make sure she had fun.

"Killing any of your classmates is not allowed." The note on the door said. Well okay then. Isabelle awkwardly sat down in the new desk formation silently near the edge of the room. That surely meant no good at all for the class today. No good at all if the professor is suspecting killing or whatever. Isabelle shook her head and began to aimlessly doodle on a spare piece of parchment.
Jayden entered the classroom slowly, she had been sick last time so she had missed the first class. "Good morning!" She called out, taking an empty seat.
It was time for History of Magic class! The first lesson had been really good, very exciting and Nikolas was looking forward to see what was going to happen today.
He made his way to the classroom and the first thing he noticed was the note on the door. Not allowed to kill your classmates? Pshhh too bad. Hehe okay no. Nikolas stepped into the room and took a seat waiting for Scabior to come and the class to begin.

Another History of Magic Lesson.
Beatrice walked cheekily inside the classroom. She was rather happy today. Without reason that is. And when she saw the writings on the board, she couldn't help but feel a little disappointed since she wanted the class to start almost immediately. But there was nothing she could do it, and so she walked passed the Professor's desk, greeted every student inside, "Good day guys !" and took a seat at the last chair on the right side of their new seating arrangement.

History of Magic lesson 2.
Jonathan woke up early today, had a decent breakfast before going to class. As Jonathan entered the classroom, he noticed that the chairs are in a semi-circle arrangement. What will they be learning today huh?
He walked over to a seat and looked at the class. A few people had just arrived for now, thankfully he didn't over sleep this time. Looking at the classroom, he noticed the professor was not around. That explains the sign he saw.

History of Magic. Raven walked to the classroom. She loved read the book about history. Hopefully the lesson wouldn't be boring as usual.
"Good morning Professor Scabior." said Raven. Then she got a nice seat and saw the board.

As Valerie walked into the History of Magic classroom, the first thing she noticed was the odd seating arrangement. She raised an eyebrow slightly, wondering what they would be doing. She turned to the professor's desk, hoping to maybe get a clue, but he didn't seem to be in the classroom. Then, Valerie noticed the note tacked to the board.
Valerie sat down as the note had suggested, and began to wait.

Entering the History of Magic classroom, Nora noticed the absence of the professor, so she walked straight to the nearest empty seat, and sat down, placing her bag on the desk.
Fiddling with her fingers (only because she was bored), her eyes happened to meet the message professor Scabior had left for them, and her eyebrows instantly shot up in surprise. They weren't allowed to kill their classmates?! Who in the world would even think about killing someone?!
Angelina walked happy up to the History of Magic class to find a note on the door. After reading it she quietly made her way into class and took a seat, in the same area as last lesson.
Ellie entered clutching her broomstick and her bag.
The first thing she noticed was the arrangement. Obviously. It was discussion style. Which she wasn't too sure how she felt about. On one hand, she didn't want to talk at all. On the other, it meant the class just might not be incredibly boring.
She chose a seat close to the door....and away from anyone already inside.
AND...the Professor wasn't here yet. Good. Treyen had been thinking he was running late for the lesson, and in turn found out that it was Professor Scabior the one who was.
He also took notice of one person sitting close to the door and didn't hesitate for a second to take the seat next to her. However, he did wonder why her broomstick was in the classroom but made no attempt to question it. Quidditch Captains. You don't question their methods...anymore. He did when Melanie was in charge, and with Miranda as well. He wasn't about to question his favorite one, though.
"Hi." That was greeting enough, right? That and the smile he was wearing.
Well, the Professor was free to arrive any minute now, since hewas sitting and ready for...hmmm, no, not ready, no one is truly ready for History of Magic. Ever.

Spotting the note, he took a deep breath.
A reprieve for the moment...but it did run the risk of students getting caught unaware.
Nevertheless, Gideon entered the classroom, the Gryffindor looking around at the seating arrangement. He spotted a few familiar faces already there, namely Kurumi sitting by a window and debated sitting near her. They had been ackward at Muggle Studies class and he hoped that after he and Selina had talked things out it might return to normal.
"Mind if I sit here," he asked with a smile approaching the desk she was at and the desk he was opting on taking.
Kurumi's body went a bit rigid when she heard the familiar voice of Gideon. EEK! The fourth year found herself unable to move or even really respond. Was it alright for him to sit next to her? Would Selina get the wrong idea? That had certainly been the case EVERY TIME Katie had seen her and Adam back with Katie and Adam were a couple. Kurumi had hated it, all the accusing questions and then the Slytherin bragging about how much she liked Adam and how he and she were blah blah. Kurumi had played the third wheel, and now she feared that the same thing was going to happen.
Only this time it was worse. Much worse. Gideon could be taking away her best friend.
"Um...sure," she said with a faint smile. After all, there was no one sitting next to her.

Perhaps she should invest in an alarm clock, but she wasn't a morning person anyway. It most likely would not do any good.
She tied the end of her braid and sat down in an empty set toward the middle of the room. Part of her was still waking up so sitting in the front was not an option. But since the Professor wasn't there yet... maybe she could just rest her eyes for a few minutes... yeah she could do that.
Kurumi scanned the classroom looking just for that person, when she saw her doing what Selina liked to call 'resting her eyes' but almost always resulted in the Chaser falling asleep. Thankfully, Selina wasn't seated that far away from her.
"Pssssssssssst, Selina," Kurumi hissed as she leaned across a few empty desks to softly flick her ear. "No resting your eyes. Constant vigilance!" That should at least get a laugh out of her, right?
Kurumi looked up just then and saw that Jonathan had entered the classroom. She offered him a small wave and a blush before leaning back into her own seat.

Gideon could sense Kurumi's hesitance, the way she held herself stiff made that quite clear and he bit back a sigh at her reaction. "Thanks..." he said quietly as he sat down, his bag now resting at his feet. He let the silence be, taking stuff out of his bag to set on top the desk to prepare for the start of class. His gaze briefly following her own as she spoke to Selina, announcing to him that the other girl had arrived after them although apparently quite out of it.
He simply smiled at her before going back to what he was doing, debating saying or doing anything as Kurumi dealt with her best friend. "Look Kurumi...nothings really changed," he finally spoke again as he laid out quill and parchment for notes.

Tori entered History of Magic eagerly, hoping to sit as close as possible to the professor. She was dismayed, however, to note his absence, and then even more disappointed in the semi-circle arrangement of desks.
Hmmph.
Tori made her way over to a desk on the other side of Treyen and gave him a little nudge. "Hi," she whispered, settling into her desk and laying out parchment, quills, and ink as neatly as possible.
Now then, where was Hottie Scabior?!

She had set her broomstick on the floor beside her, between the desk beside her and her own. The bag, however, she had pulled into her lap, and taken a slouching type position, as if covering...protecting the bag. Or its contents.
The redhead's vacant expression changed as soon as she heard that oh-so-familiar voice beside her. "Hi."
Ellie was grinning now. Most definitely.

Jonathan sat down and saw Kurumi from one corner with her fellow Gryffindors. Jonathan stretched his feet for they were still cold from the morning breeze. The dungeons, right now, is not the warmest place inside the castle.
Jonathan smiled as he saw her wave. He gave a small wave to her as well, adding a wink. Okay, this class will be hard to concentrate on.
Adanna entered the classroom quickly and hurried to an empty seat. With no real idea why, she was ready and waiting for this lesson. Why? It wasn't her favorite class, but not her least favorite. Either way, she was present.
Oh? Professor Scabior wasn't here yet? Hm.
Adanna propped her elbows on her desk and cupped her chin in her hands. What to do while waiting?

Ellie was grinning now. Most definitely.
THAT smile was the one thing that made History of Magic worthy of his time. Granted, he was only noticing Ellie in this lesson, but still.
"I...have something for you." A gift, sort of. It took him a great amount of time to decide whether or not he should've taken the trouble to pick it as a gift...but he made a decision, and that decision was rather obvious. "Meet me later." After class. Or after Quidditch, considering the fact that the broom was in the room. Ellie was either going to practice or coming from it.
And soon after he spoke, he felt...a nudge. And another redhead was sitting next to him.
How...incredibly bizarre it was to be sitting between two redheads. And even more bizarre to be sitting next to..., "Victoria!" he exclaimed, slightly surprised by seeing her. He was about to ask her about whether she entered the Prefects' bathroom or not...but...Ellie was there. And she also had access...and she was also told not to give the password away. Soooo...., "Hi."Wink.
He'll ask Victoria about it some other time. Over a memo sent over to her or something.
Ira came into the class thankful that the professor hadn't yet entered. She saw the new layout of the class and was happy and sad...Her old school in muggle world used to have the same kind of layout in the classrooms.
She went over and sat down, waiting for the class to start...
Angelina walked happy up to the History of Magic class to find a note on the door. After reading it she quietly made her way into class and took a seat, in the same area as last lesson.
" Hi Angleina" William told her. Want to sit next to me?" William asked Angelina. "Sorry about Muggle Studies, but I do not talk in class when it starts" William said to Angelina.
Ryan walked in from the Corridor and sat down on a chair. He liked to come early to classes but not when there was anything to do.So he just sat there waiting for anything.
Cass walked in as she yawned sleepily. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night due to a slight case of the cold brought upon by the chilly January air.. She strolled into the room, ran her fingers through her slightly disheveled hair, looked around and was disappointed. No one she knew..well, no one she could sit with at least.
She shuffled through the center aisle and stopped in front of the teacher's table and flashed a bright smile towards Professor Scabior "Good day, Professor." She said as cheerfully as she could muster before turning back once again to head to a table at the corner of the room where maybe she get a few minutes of glorious sleep before the class begun.
Seriously, it should be against school rules to hold classes this early.
Scott waltzed into the classroom feeling happier than normal. He loved any type of history, but history of magic was his favourite. "Good morning professor" he greeted before going to find a seat.

Jez all but ran into the classroom feeling fairly sure she'd be late. She breathed a sigh of relief - apparently not. "Hello, professor," she said rather breathlessly, managing a smile. She sat down at a desk near most of her fellow first-years, and waved to Scott. He looked happy about History of Magic ... to be honest, Jez wasn't so keen. She had heard enough of wizarding triumphs from her parents, who seemed intent on making their daughter believe wizards were better than Muggles. No, scratch that seemed - they were intent on it. Jez sighed and leaned her elbows on the table, waiting for class to start.
Erin walked towards an empty seat but stopping for a while to greet Professor Scabior, but he was not here yet. It was different today. The seats were arranged in a semi-circle. Weird but good. They will all be seeing each others faces while classes were ongoing.
