Spotting the note, he took a deep breath.
A reprieve for the moment...but it did run the risk of students getting caught unaware.
Nevertheless, Gideon entered the classroom, the Gryffindor looking around at the seating arrangement. He spotted a few familiar faces already there, namely Kurumi sitting by a window and debated sitting near her. They had been ackward at Muggle Studies class and he hoped that after he and Selina had talked things out it might return to normal.
"Mind if I sit here," he asked with a smile approaching the desk she was at and the desk he was opting on taking.
Kurumi's body went a bit rigid when she heard the familiar voice of Gideon. EEK! The fourth year found herself unable to move or even really respond. Was it alright for him to sit next to her? Would Selina get the wrong idea? That had certainly been the case EVERY TIME Katie had seen her and Adam back with Katie and Adam were a couple. Kurumi had hated it, all the accusing questions and then the Slytherin bragging about how much she liked Adam and how he and she were blah blah. Kurumi had played the third wheel, and now she feared that the same thing was going to happen.
Only this time it was worse. Much worse. Gideon could be taking away her best friend.
"
Um...sure," she said with a faint smile. After all, there was no one sitting next to her.

Perhaps she should invest in an alarm clock, but she wasn't a morning person anyway. It most likely would not do any good.
She tied the end of her braid and sat down in an empty set toward the middle of the room. Part of her was still waking up so sitting in the front was not an option. But since the Professor wasn't there yet... maybe she could just rest her eyes for a few minutes... yeah she could do that.
Kurumi scanned the classroom looking just for that person, when she saw her doing what Selina liked to call 'resting her eyes' but almost always resulted in the Chaser falling asleep. Thankfully, Selina wasn't seated that far away from her.
"
Pssssssssssst, Selina," Kurumi hissed as she leaned across a few empty desks to softly flick her ear. "
No resting your eyes. Constant vigilance!" That should at least get a laugh out of her, right?
Kurumi looked up just then and saw that Jonathan had entered the classroom. She offered him a small wave and a blush before leaning back into her own seat.
