Harvey decided to ask Minnie whether she was ok AFTER the lesson was over. He saw she was carrying on with the lesson so he decided to carry on too.
Harvey decided to go up, so he leaned up on his broom but too much and he went higher, but before he went too high he stopped himself. He looked around he saw he a was quite high, but not too high.
He decided to go back down now and leaned his broom down, but he leaned a little too much and the broom sped towards the ground, he leaned back on the broom but he had to jump off the broom before it reached the ground. He toppled onto the ground with the broom in his hand.
He got back up and mounted his broom and kicked off the ground, his heart was thumping in his chest
He decided not to go too high and decided to do basic flying like turns, forwards and backwards.
He leaned forward on his broom and then leaned back, and then he leaned forwards and then back.
He then turned around 180 degrees and did the same as before but in the other direction.

Pam thought shed try landing. Flying was one thing, but landing was another. She angled her broom towards the ground a bit. As she came towards the ground, she tried to pull up to slow herself, but her timing was off and she landed in the ground, rolling a little away from her broom. She got up and dusted herself off. She marched to the broom, held her hand over it and yelled "UP!" In a strong tone. It immediatly flew into her hand. She mounted it, and kicked off, deciding to fly around before trying to land again.

Minerva was really doing this. She decided to raise higher. Oh please don't fall. She told herself. She then leaned forward to move around the field. Starting to get braver Minerva leaned right and turned the broom. She was starting to enjoy herself.

Well, this professor certainly wasted no time, but it sometimes was best to just jump in and do it sometimes. She did the same when learning a new dance move. Ensuring that she had a firm grip on her broom, Kourtney bent her knees and then pushed herself up.

Her feet left the ground and she was hovering a bit. Whoa.

Slowly, she leaned forward, just in small increments, keeping the broom pointed straight ahead. It began to move, and so she decided to go a little faster when it became evident that she wasn't going to fall. Leaning forward a little more, she held back the giggle of delight as she picked up a little speed.

Ok, so I want to get down there... Nate thought, looking at the crowd about 30 feet below. He leaned down and pushed the tip of the broom towards the ground, and began hurtling down towards the group. "Excuse me, pardon me, heads up, hi Pam," he said as he shot past the others, pulling up on his broom handle. He managed to slow himself down, and stopped falling about 4 inches off the perfectly trimmed green grass. "That was wonderful..." Nate said sarcastically.

After minutes of hovering above the ground, Nora decided that it was time to do something else, unless she wanted professor Vindictus to get mad at her or something. She tried to remember all the instructions he gave them, so she leaned forward slooooowly, and she was slooooowly advancing.

"Aahhh."

... it was not that slow when she realized that she leaned too much.

Next, she sat back straight and gently pulled the handle towards her, and she was super relieved that the broom was a nice one and it was slowing down.

Did she ever mention that she didn't like flying?

Harvey was glad to see Minnie enjoying herself and he decided to speed around the field
So he leaned forward and went speeding in one direction, after a while he felt uneasy and leaned back on the broom to stop it.
He took some deep breaths before turning his broom around.
He then went speeding back to the area that he had started from
He then decided to do wavey flying where he went up and down and up and down, he did that but not leaning on his broom too much.
He turned his broom around and watched his classmates fly around the field.

Ellie was NOT late. Pfffft.

No, she simply forgot that Vindictus was holding his Firsties Lesson today and merely decided to do a bit of flying on her own time...coincidentally at the time of the lesson. But when she walked onto the Pitch, she saw loads of kiddies in the air - mostly the younger ones - and Vindictus standing nearby. "Hey, Vindictus."

A frown instantly appeared on her face. She wasn't only upset that there were a load of inexperienced players taking up potential flying space, but she walked into a Flying lesson later than preferable. The optimum time to come in was when they were shouting 'up' and the few of them got hit in the face. Always entertaining, that.

Though, she supposed it could still be entertaining watching them speed off or stopping too suddenly. That had equally entertaining consequences. Or when the ickle ones weren't used to the school brooms and decided to show off, only to look a fool. Hah.

So Ellie supposed she hadn't missed out on too much yet.

But she wasn't going to let the lesson spoil her practice time. Hopefully it wouldn't. Ellie mounted her broom and kicked off. Maybe she could mess with the ickle ones some?

After a few laps, of course.

But if they weren't white didn't that mean you risked being thrown off by the broom if it threw a temper tantrum? Kurumi didn't really want to think about that at the moment, she would rather worry about performing a proper take off without her school broom kicking and her ending up in the hospital wing again.

Nodding towards the man, and making a mental note to give him a cookie after the lesson, Kurumi threw her right leg over the broom, adjusted her footing a bit, and gripped the handle towards the tip.

Easy to navigate in the air? Maybe for Professor Vindictus...he commanded respect from the brooms or something like that. They were probably still afraid of him after the events of last term. Throwing brooms into piles, them getting singed and burned from various activities, him running around with a giant pirate hat on his head and over all acting like a crazy man...the list really went on and on.

Still, Kurumi was glad that nothing else was flying in the air with them...for now.

Bending at the knees slightly, Kurumi kicked off the ground harder than usual, levitating a few feet above the ground before it began jolting and zig zagging like a bucking bronco. She WOULD have picked the broom that hated students.

Head jostling back and forth as she pulled the handle towards her to rise just a little further in the air, Kurumi gripped her feet around the foot rests. She was NOT falling off this broom.

At the whistle, Gideon moved to do as instructed, the fourth year pushing off the ground with his feet. It was a slightly jerky movement as he had to first grow accustomed to the school broom with which he worked. But soon he was off and his feet were placed securly in place on either side of the broom tail.

Once he was satisfied with the height he was at, Gideon leaned forward a little over the broom handle, carefully not to lean too much to avoid zooming off uncontrolably and took off at a reasonable speed down one of the sides of the pitch. The Gryffindor doing his best to avoid any others already up with him.

This was actually pretty cool. Kourt slowly rose higher in the air as she angled the broom up. She wasn't up to doing any tricks or anything for fear of falling, and she doubted that the professor would approve.

Holding her position as she sat straight up, the little Gryffindor watched the others fly around the pitch. Just basics, Kourt. She had managed to get off of the ground and get a little height. Now to practice turning and speeding up and slowing down.

She leaned forward towards the broom handle and the broom began to move in a straightforward direction. She twisted her head towards the left before realizing that she was doing nothing but getting a crick in her neck. Okay...

Having a firm grip with her hands, she turned her hips slowly to the left. The broom curved gently with her. Oh, this was way too cool! She was really flying!

She kept in that direction, at the same speed, for a few moments before slowly turning in the opposite direction, making sure not to bump into anyone else.

Minerva leaned forward and went across the field, she turned left and went the other way. She stopped and watched the others. Then the panic started back in her again. She saw students landing. She never even thought about once she got up how she was getting back down. She flew over to where students were below her and saw the professor. "Umm professor what is the best way to land so not to fall on my face?"

After ordering his broomstick up, Eino mounted it, then finally gently pushed himself off the ground. This part had become very easy, when not only a year ago he was still struggling to order his broomstick. He would want to practice a few Quidditch moves, but Professor Vindictus told them not to, so that was that. He could still get used to safer landings, so it wasn't too bad. When he was hovering in the air, he leaned forward over the broom handle, while maintaining a firm grip on it, and set off. The lower he leaned the faster the broomstick went, but he just wanted to float around the stadium. Plus, Vindictus would hit him with a bludger if he went too fast.

Ashley hadn't ever been able to do anything flight-related up until this day, really. So he was actually very surprised when he got the broom to come to his hand properly, and not try to make a detour for his face or anything else. And now he was going to end up in the air. He was confident in that, only because he figured if he worried about it, he wouldn't go anywhere. Trying to take mental notes of the instructions, he kicked off the ground carefully, and went straight ahead, a few inches off the ground. That probably wouldn't be good eventually. At least he wasn't going very fast.

Nate slowly rose. He was giving gentile touch to the broom, now persuading it rather than commanding it. He pulled up, and the broom rose slowly into he air. At least I haven't fallen off yet! thought Nate. He started to rise faster through the crowd of students, and he weaves through every one of them. Once you got the feel for it, broom control was easy!

Angelina then started to fly carfully around slow at first then faster. She then felt like she was going to fast, so she stopped and looked back down at the field, and thought she was to far away, so she turned around and started the opposite direction she just came from, for more pratice.

Alright. Nora didn't want to fly anymore, since she was also afraid of heights, or mostly acting like a silly, little girl. But she knew she had to keep flying, so she decided to lean juuust a bit, so she was flying at the speed of a mad turtle, and she was mosly only...

... flying around.

And then she made a circle. And another one. That was only because she remembered the Divination lesson, when they learned about flight patterns. Yes, she knew she was not a bird, but it was still fun, flying in circles. Hehe.

Now moving right, Kourtney ventured to go a little faster. She leaned forward...and a little more...Whoa! Now that was a little too fast! She pulled back in slight panic and nearly tumbled backwards. Merlin! This flying business was something else!

Drawing in a breath, she slowly leaned forward again, moving at a decent pace, but not wavering from her path. She turned again to the left and then to the right and then to the left again in successive motions, with a small bit of flying interspersed between them.

Harvey then did the wavey flying back to where he had kicked off from the ground
He then remembered that the professor mentioned landing. He looked at the ground how was he going to land on that thing.
He took a deep breath and leaned forward so that the broom went downwards.
But before he reached the ground he leaned back, but he was still slightly high be called landing.
So he leaned forward ever so slightly to land on the ground.
He reached the ground and almost lost his balance but he steadied himself, he then watched his classmates before flying up into the air again. This time he would just do normal flying no extraordinary stuff.

Now that Nate had control of his flight, he decided to do something much a little more daring. He made his way over to an empty section of sky, leaned close to his broom, and pulled up at the same time. Up and back, up and back, now he was upside down, and back down forward,
Towards the ground, but then away, and back to where he started. He had done it! A full loop! Time to land.

Now to cover making a 180...and a 360 as well, if she could do it. She rose a little higher in the air just to have enough room to practice. Okay...so a 180. Just turn the broom to the left until she reached the opposition direction of where she faced now. Since she was facing towards the goalposts, she would just end up facing the other set of goals.

She slowly turned her broom to the left and, instead of straightening the broom out as she had done previously, she continued to point the handle towards the left. Bit by bit, she turned until finally, she saw the opposite goalposts. YAY! She had done it.

And the 360 wasn't much complicated. She just had to simply keep the broom handle pointed in the direction that she wished to go until she reached the point where she had made a full circle. She did so now, feeling a thrill of excitement.

Now to practice the landing.

Pam decided to try something. She leaned into her broom a little, to go faster. She flew over to the three goal posts, lining one edge of the field. As she came up to the far left one, she quickly pulled up and went over it. Pleased with how well she flew over it, she quickly made a hard right, and pulled up and over the second post. She did the same with the third one. She paused in the air for a moment, excited that she was able to do this. She flew over to the other side, and did the same thing.

When she was finally getting used to flying (which was a miracle), Nora smiled to herself and decided to do it properly, since she was on a broom, a few feet off the ground. She might have felt good, but she wasn't sure whether she'll ever touch a broomstick, of if that will ever happen again.

So she leaned forward, and allowed the broom to go slightly faster. It felt great, feeling the fresh air brush against her skin. It was almost like she was a bird, but she also had to remember to keep her hands on the handle.

This was getting actually cool, when she was sure that she won't bump into anyone.

Minerva saw Harvs landing. Oh No she thought the professor must have told them landing. She was panicking so bad she must not have heard. She didn't want to get him upset with her again. So she tried to do what Harvs did. She went close to the ground she was about to put her feet down when she went off balance and rolled to the ground. She jumped back up "Never mind professor I guess I found my own way to land. I will try that again." She dusted her self off and felt really dumb. But on a positive side she did seem to be getting the hang of the flying part.

Angelina decided she had enough pratice, so she flew closer to the field. She then tired to land as best as she could. She bent slowly down closer to the broom handel, and started to go a little faster, and downwards. She started to get closer to the ground and get scared. She didn't want to crash into the ground or anyone. Now Angelina was closer to the ground, and then all of a sudden she felt the ground below her. She hooped off the broom, but kept her hand on it so it wouldn't go away. She then began to lose her balance, and started walking fowards, tell she stopped, and was standing up straigh and safe.
