"Oh thanks," Katrina said in reply. She sat down her seat beside Beezus and placed her bag.

"[Do you] Have any idea when the professor is coming?" Katrina asked. "It's taking him / her a long time."

Katrina's mouth dropped when Professor Glass said Slytherin lost 30 points. But that's it.

"I'm Katrina Marie Hudson, First Year," Katrina said while standing up during her turn. "And if I took Defense as a N.E.W.T., it will be because I want to protect, defend, or fend myself from Dark Creatures and the Dark Arts itself. This subject, for me, is helpful in our life."

Professor Glass is one you shouldn't be easy with. One second and took 60 points?

When it was Erin's turn to speak, she composed herself and took a deep breath before starting. "Good day Professor. I am Erin Cornelia Heyman and I am a first year, a Muggleborn actually," she added hastily but thought for a second, she wasn't supposed to. Erin continued like she hadn't added her blood status, "I am pursuing Defense Against the Dark Arts at NEWT level because I believe that this lesson is going to be important in my life."

Jez smiled at the teacher. 'Watch your mouth around the teachers, Jez,' her brother had warned.
"Hello, Professor. My name's Jezabel Black, and I'm a first-year Ravenclaw." She chose not to say any more. Reasons about being in NEWT DADA could wait until sixth or seventh year - because she would be taking it, of course.

Jai stood up, flashed Josh a slight glare before answering,"Good morning Professor. I'm Jai Pierce, I am a 7th year and I have chosen to do DADA at the NEWT Level as I am keenly interested in the subject area and want to take it into the career I've chosen, which is to be an Auror.

He sat and made a mental note to have a little chat with Josh. Nothing serious, just was curious about the 30 points that had suddenly gone missing.

Lua heard the clinking of heels and figured the teacher had arrived.

Lua turned red with anger. 30 points from Slytherin. Why didn't people behave in class? We were already with -35 points, how could we ever win the house cup like that?!

Seeing all the students presenting themselves, Lua quickly followed. "My name is Lua, I'm a first year Slytherin." Lua decided not to say anything else, seeing as she was only a first year and wasn't sure about DADA's NEWT.

Hearing her classmates presenting themselves Violet spoke up,

"I'm Violet Cyress Alexandria Snape, I'm a first year and from the house of Slytherin." she said.

30 points from Slytherin and Gryffindor? Oh that sucks... So much for the house competition... Well at least it'll be a chance for the other houses..

Finally! We're starting! Kynthia has been sitting there for what seemed like ages. It was her fault of course for been so early in class.
Stupid watch! She thought as she glared at her wristwatch that decided to brake down, right when she needed it with all her classes starting. She doubted she could find someone to fix it here. And now this introduction thing! She hated having to talk in front of people. She prefered sitting quietly in her chair, paying attention to the class. Or chatting with her firends... Which she couldn't spot in the classroom for yet another time!

She sighed as it was her turn to introduce herself and got up. "Good morning Proffessor Glass. My name is Kynthia Near and I'm a first year." I sat down again wondering what exactly were NEWT's...?

Really? She wanted to know their names and... well, Corey wasn't quite fourteen yet, how was he supposed to know if he was gonna take NEWT level DADA or not? That would depend right? If the professor sucked, then he wouldn't learn enough to get high enough grades to be accepted into NEWT level.

And she probably didn't care what his name was anyway. So what, she was stalling for time then? He stuck his hand up in a half-hearted sort of way.

"Corey Quimper, third year, and I dunno Ma'am, I guess that depends how good of a teacher you are and whether I get inspired or not, and I guess whether or not you reckon I'll be good enough to keep up with this subject when I'm old enough to do my NEWTs." Such a logical snake, he was.

João's breathing stopped again for a moment when she walked in the classroom like that. His eyes were on her for several minutes while she walked, deduced some points and talked. He tried to blink away, and could only look at that 'funny' Marilyn girl who had costed them 30 points. Was that... THIRTY, as in three-zero? Wow, that meeting of prefects were very normal then. -70 and it wasn't even a week. Though... who would care about such mortal matters while there was an angel in the classroom? Shrugging it off, since they would gain points soon, his eyes were back on Professor Glass again soon enough.

"I'm João Neves, I'm a fifth year, I'll take it at OWL levels first and..." the reason is because YOU are teaching it! "...I want to learn to protect myself properly."

Time to look away? Not yet.

Janet gulped and stood up. "I'm Janet Quatlane, second year Gryffindor, and.... um.... I want to take NEWTs because, well.... I want to get a job in the ministry. I want to become Auror", She introduced herself. Yeah, that went well, She thought.

Of course...Josh nodded at the lioness princess when she repeated his words but in question form. That was right. The girls made him. Not by force or something yet they dared him to do so and Josh could not help it. Put a curse on him? Hahaha. No way. No. Only Evelyn or...Lafay could put a curse on him. He would never let the other to so so, that was, without suffering by his reaction at least. ''They said i would not be able to'' Yeaa...surely Pretty Prefect Princess got it. ''Yea. After looking kind of distracted for a moment, his eyes followed the girl as she walked in the classroom and then she saw him....eh. Great. Destiny Shepard seeing him in heels was definitely going to be a disaster as she would be making fun of it the whole year...or...not.

When the girl just gave him thumbs up instead, Josh blinked at her with a surprised expression before smirking and nodding at her.

And of all people, of course, his girlfriend was the smartest!!! Yesyesyes. Sitting down actually was a great idea. That way not only he was going to stop the risk of falling over but also the pain might stop as his poor feet was not going to forced to deal with and balance his weight. So, smiling at her ''Good idea'' he eyed the nearest seat yet only to look back at Evelyn once he heard her next suggestion.

But would not that be giving up the challenge? He did not want to give up the challenge when he was already that far in it. Or maybe he would not be giving up since he had already done what the girls asked for; wear the heels and walk in the class. He was unable to decide to so he was intending to ask his beloved's idea when his eyes caught something shiny on her...

Seriously? This was the first thing she had to say right after stepping into the classroom? No to mention that reaction with the exact words originally belonged to Professor Lafay.

And this was totally unfair!!! He had not done anything wrong, had he? The girls made him wear the heels and he did. Wearing heels was not forbidden, right? Who was this woman who knew nothing about justice?

To see, then, while keeping an arm on Evelyn so he could manage his balance, he turned around to see who that was....

SHE was the new DADA professor. The beautiful woman at the staff table.

Yet what was with beautiful women and being evil? Was that a law of nature or something? He opened his mouth but unable to say anything...closed it back.



Feeling Evelyn move made the Gryffindor remember that he needed to sit down and maybe it could remind him the shiny thing on her too but he did not seem to remember it yet as not there were too many toughts in his mind that kept it rather busy. Or to be exact...he was confused. Following the Slytherin girl's moves, eh she did not look happy either, Josh sat down next to her and took a deep breath of relief when almost half of the pain on his feet was gone.

Then he carefully listened to her words and...looked up at the professor again. Was it his turn? ''My name is Joshua Carter.'' as you very well know since you can yell out detentions ''Seventh Year. Gryffindor.'' Was not that obvious as well? *Ahem*. ''And yes, i plan to take NEWT level Defense and most likely more than that because...'' Eh. He had to pause at that point because now for some reason he had started to doubt if he wanted to pursue that career. Had Professor Lafay been serious? Him being an Auror? He was never going to know. He always had one reason though, if he was not going to mention that one. ''...because i will always be protecting my girlfriend no matter what.''

"Thanks!" whispered Willow, breathing a sigh of relief. "No, not yet, everyone's just introducing themselves." she said, looking around as well, to make sure she was right.

Simon sat there quietly for once in his life, he was too scared to speak, the Professor seemed to be very angry for some reason, she had just taken 30 points of the Slytherin and Gryffindor House, and he thought it was a bit harsh, surely 10 points would have been enough, well until the Professor forced him to speak he was sitting there listening and not saying a word.

As Chloe sat in her seat she took everything in. She was excited to be in DADA so she couldnt help smiling happily to herself

Daisy couldn't help but open her mouth in amazement a little. The Professer had just given one boy a detention and taken 30 points of Gryffindor and Slytherin. She was thankful it wasn't her own house. This professor was obviously not one to get on the wrong side of.
Professor Glass had just asked everyone in the class to say their names, years and (if they were choosing too) why they were taking N.E.W.T D.A.D.A. Daisy hadn't yet decided what N.E.W.Ts to take, she had barely thought about her O.W.Ls, but Defence Against the Dark Arts seemed fairly important to her. She raised her hand to say her name and year.
'I'm Daisy Tucker,' she said, looking up at Professor Glass, 'second year.'

'That'll teach them' he thought.
"Good day miss" he said, then noticed this wasn't the time to exchange pleasantries.
"Scott Rowe, First year" he paused "Yes I will most likely pursue defence at N.E.W.T level because I'm interested in it"

William is disgusted. " Kurumi and Jai, we need to get our Gryffindors on track" William told them both. " We all work hard to get points and win the house cup for Gryffindor" Willaim said to them. "Can we have a meeting about losing points for Gryffindor?" William asked them. " It is bad we lsot 10 points, but losing thirty points is absolutely uncalled for by the students" William sighed. William is going to get a lot of DADa class this term.

"Good day, professor," the little first year spoke, slightly cautiously as the woman had taken 30 points from two houses in their first 30 seconds together. "Michelle Gywdion, Slytherin first year, ma'am."

"Hello Professor, I'm Sam Beam." Sam said to the professor. "I'm a seventh year, and I'll be taking NEWT level. I choose to because while I may or may not want to become an Auror I don't want to have to rely on others to protect me." He said. He had always hated asking for help, being strong in DADA was another way to be self reliant.

Fiona's eyes had slowly begun to shut as she waited for class to begin. She had laid her head down for only a couple of minutes when the sound of a camera flash echoed in the room. Fiona only had a fews seconds to realize what was going on when the sharp sound of heels clacked against the floor. Her head shot into the air as the professor entered the room. "Geez," she thought,"what a banging start to the new year. Definitely don't want to mess with this teach."
Fiona listened as each student gave their names and years. Finally it was her turn to speak.
"The name's Fiona Foxley, Professor. I'm a first year Gryffindor. I wanted to take DADA because I figured it's pretty useful and I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with my life yet."

Salima carried on making notes like before.

When the first word out of a new professor's mouth was 'detention', it pretty much guaranteed that this particular teacher would not be one that was generally liked. But, since Ryden thought both that the boy with the heels was insane AND that other houses should lose points, she didn't really mind the woman much.

"Ryden Di Marco, fifth year. Clearly, still not NEWT level," the blonde stated, her tone flat, almost bored. She had ages to pick her subjects for next year and wasn't going to start preoccupying herself over it.
