My my, the professor was boring, but attractive.
He cleaned his cauldron first "Scourgify!" Easy as pie. "Aguamenti!" he said quietly, and the cauldron filled up with water.
"Incendio!" he said with a bit more aggression and a low flame appeared under his cauldron.

Selina suddenly grew tense as everyone around her started to fill up their cauldrons to do their potions. She held her wand fast in her hand and felt a little bit better. This part of her potion she could always do because it was magic. The actually brewing always made her want to throw up a little bit, for no other reason then the fact that she hated potions.

But she raised her wand none-the-less and said, "Scourgify." Once her cauldron was clean she cast the next spell, "Aguamenti!" The water filled the cauldron and then she finally uttered, "Incendio!"

Everything was calm enough. A small flame was lit, the room was good tempered enough, Lafay was in a... better mood, so why couldn't she shake the feeling that she was going to mess something up? Right. Because she always did.

Ariana took in all of the information said, writing it down in neat cursive in her notebook as Professor Lafay said it.



Having written everything down, Ariana turned to her cauldron, cleaning it with a quick, "Scourgify!" She then cast aguamenti to fill the cauldron with water, and muttered, "Incendio," under her breath, concentrating on keeping the flame from flaring up. It did, for a moment, but then settled to a low heat, slowly warming the water. Satisfied, Ariana looked up at Professor Lafay for further instruction.

So wizerding cameras did capture the moment, but not enough to make the picture completley move as if the event was happening. Maddy heated her cauldron on low flame and poured in some water. Surley it diddn't matter if she began to heat the cauldron first and then add the water.

Violet set her cauldron (already cleaned, thank you!), cast the Aguamenti charm to partly fill it with water, and then carefully cast Incendio to start a fire under it--a low fire. Then, one eye on her cauldron and the other on Professor Lafay (who you should always keep an eye out for, just in case), she sat back to wait for the next step.

Ashley took notes on film, pictures, how to develop, and what was going on now, before getting his cauldron ready for the day. First he made sure it was cleaned, even though he'd cleaned it before, just to be extra certain. Then came the water, and the fire, which he had made sure to work on so he wouldn't be stuck standing around until someone helped him this time around.
With that taken care of, he went on to fill in more notes, since he'd written rather quickly before, as he waited to see what was next.

Victoria first scribbled hastely in her notebook:



"Scourgify!" Victoria said as she pointed at her cauldron to clean it. "Aguamenti!" then, her cauldron immediately filled with water. Now it’s time for the fire. Victoria pointed at the bottom of the cauldron as she muttered, “Incendio!” a small fire lit under it, just as Victoria had hopped.

As Professor Lafay spoke Marie took the time to clean her cauldron and prepare her work space. Once she was satisfied that her cauldron was clean and free of cracks or breaks she got out her journal and quill.

Might as well get it started while listening to instructions.

Once Lafay was finished Marie got out her wand and with a non-verbal 'Aguamenti' she filled her cauldron with water. She then pointed it under her cauldron and again with a non-verbal she lit a low fire using 'Incendio'. She then reholstered her wand and updated her journal while awaiting further instructions.

Rose shrugged. If Lafay didn't give a time, it didn't matter. She took her wand out and pointed it at the cauldron. 'Scourgify!' Just to chack it was clean... She didn't feel like blowing up today... OK, she did, but still. 'Aguamenti!' And watched it fill with water. Now the spell she liked. Fire spell. Awesome. 'Incendio.' she said slowly, letting the spell flick of her tongue and smiling as the fire lit. Now what? Oh, right, writing class notes. She rolled her eyes and wrote them down.

Thea scribbled down notes as she listened to professor Lafay explain about developing wizard photos. She was looking forward to learning this potion so she could make it almost any time she needed/wanted it!

Picking up her wand, she aimed it at the inside of her cauldren. 'Scourgify..' Tounge sticking out the side of her mouth, Thea began to thoroughly clean her cauldren until it was ready. Clearing her throat, she moved onto the next part. 'Aguamenti..' Immediantly, her cauldren filled with water. Stopping it just on time, she looked around to see if Lafay was ready to move on.
Quickly, she bent down and pointed her wand to the bottom of her cauldren. 'Incendio!' A low fire began crackling. Standing up, Thea flipped her parchment over and wrote down the first step.

Elise jotted down the notes as Professor Lafay spoke. Picking up her wand, she took the time to clean her cauldron manually, not being able to manage a scourgify yet.

Picking up her wand, she aimed it at the center on her cauldron and prayed that she'd get it right. Breathing in deeply, she said, "Aguamenti."

Water immediately filled her cauldron. She felt proud of herself and pulled out a muggle matchbox. She didn't want to risk her incendio going wrong, so she lit a match and started a low fire beneath her cauldron.

Pulling out a bit of new parchment from her bag, Elise wrote down the steps.

Hecate flipped the cauldrons over for everyone who hadn't cleaned their cauldron. "I do not care if you looked to see if your cauldron was cleaned, you MUST clean it right before you do anything with it. If there is a speck of dust, that isn't visible to the naked eye, you can compromise your whole potion." She said angrily. "Now clean up your area, scourgify your cauldrons, repeat the five C's of potion making and then start over!"

That ruined her mood.

She rolled her eyes at the boy but approached him. "You need to be more confident in your casting. Visualize the result in abundance. Say you want to fill a glass of water. Visualize yourself filling the room with water. Once the stream starts you can always pull it back." She whispered to the boy and then standing straight she said, "You can always ask your prefects for assistance if something is too advanced for you." She said and glared at Flores and Salander.

"I am not sure what spell you cast, of what the liquid in your cauldron is, but I suggest you wake up and pay attention. The incantation for the water charm is Aguamenti." She said and flipped over the girl's cauldron as well. "Clean up your mess, clean your cauldron again as it is on the floor."

Hecate rolled her eyes. Always with the questions. Whoever said there was no such thing as a stupid questions didn't teach at Hogwarts. "This is that same potion Prefect Hollingberry, I never said it didn't develop muggle ones. I said that the wizarding ones will be fabricated movements. Ones that you will create, because the muggle negative doesn't have memory of the seconds leading up to the moment or after it. Pay attention next time."

ooc: Sorry I must have not seen this.

"I haven't assigned the detention yet, and I wouldn't be so eager. I may just throw you in a room and leave you there for a week with a blast ended skrewt." She said glaring.

"Next step will be to add two cups of Elf-made wine vinegar." She said and motioned to the door of the potions cupboard. "There is a barrel in there with enough for the whole class." She took the vinegar, burgundy in color and poured it slowly in with the water.

Okay, Raven walked to the barrel with two cups. She took two cups of wine vinegar, walking back to her cauldron and pour them to the cauldron.

Waiting for the next instruction. Potions needs patience and accuracy Hey!! What did I think?

Aurora went into the potions cupboard and took two cups of the vinegar, taking them back to the cauldron and pouring it into the water. Wow... elf-made, that's pretty cool...

So..no socks?

How much fun were memories? All you could do with them was think about them. Sure, Lafay had mentioned pictures, and they were making a potion that had something to do with pictures, but they were no fun either! All you could do was look at them. Socks, on the other..foot, you could wear them, stuff some itching powder in them, and when made correctly, they could be awesome puppets. Pfft, pictures.

But, if she had to, she supposed people could take pictures of her socks. She did have alot of them.

Heaving a sigh, Destiny pulled out her parchment and began taking notes as Lafay spoke. Well, she really didn't take notes. More like drew a sock in the corner. With her perfect sock drawn, she pulled out her wand, and giving the cauldron a good scourgifying, she cast "Aguamenti", followed by an "Incendio." as she placed her cauldron on the burner. With everything done, she was just about to draw another sock when Lafay started flipping..over cauldrons.

Probably best to stop drawing them. Writing in her notebook the next ingredient, she stood from her seat, and with a measuring cup in hand, she made her way to the cupboard. Sweet Merlin, that stuff smelled so bad! But, for fear of her life, she took the two cups, and once back at her seat, she poured the liquid into her cauldron.

Maybe she would draw one sock for every cauldron Lafay filps..

Elf-made wine vinegar...

Jonathan went to the cupboard as she had suggested. After taking the wine vinegar he went back to his seat. He looked at his cauldron for awhile and then looked at what Lafay was doing. Two cups.

He's not a potion expert like the Lafay, so he took out a cup and poured the elf-made wine vinegar in it. shouldn't be that much since he saw how much Lafay was pouring. So he poured the first cup into the cauldron and then the second one.

2 cups of elf-made wine vinegar into the cauldron. CHECK!

India slipped quietly off of her stool and walked over to the barrel where Lafay had instructed the Vinegar was in. With her measuring cup in hand she dipped it into the barrel and retrieved the burgundy colored liquid.

Walking carefully back to where her cauldron was sitting she quickly and carefully set the container holding the vinegar down before situating herself on the stool. Best not be sloppy at times like these - or in classes like these - or around Lafay.

Right. Carefully she poured the two cups of Elf-Made Vinegar into the water. When finished she set down the measuring cup took out her wand and proceeded to clean all of her utensils. Why not do something while waiting? And why not be smart and not have to start a potion all over again.

Orr was really glad that she remembered to scorgify'd her cauldron and she pitied the students that got that harsh treatment from Prof. Lafay.

But on to the next step of the potion, Orr quickly wrote down in her parchment what she needed and had to do



She went to the potions cupboard to get the two cups of vinegar before heading back to her cauldron and carefully poured them in.

Luna looked at Rose OH my gosh

She pretended she didn't see it but gave glances or fear to Rose she had no idea how that felt she shook her head and pretended it was normel she wasn't loosing points for Ravenclaw because the potion teacher was strict OH no! Besides she liked Potions it was the only class that the teacher actully took charge and made sure that everything was perfect! She really hoped Lafay would be in a better mood today! BANG goes that theary

She stared at the cupbored and walked over to it she opened it up and poured in the elf made wine vinegar she took the first cup back and then came back for the second she poured it in to the cauldron and waited for some more instructions

3. Add two cups of elf made wine vinegar

Elise made her way to the barrel at the back of the classroom and carefully drew out two cups of the burgundy vinegar.

Bringing them back to her workstation, she poured it in slowly, watching as the burgundy diffused into the water, creating swirly patterns.

Now, Elise pulled out her utensils and polished them and cleaned them. Always safe to have clean utensils. Don't want anything from a previous potion mixing in...

Nora stood up and walked over to the cupboard to take the two cups of elf-made wine vinegar, and then quickly made her way back to her cauldron. Following professor Lafay's example, she poured it slowly, and watched as it mixed with the water.

Until they would move on to the next step, she took a piece of parchment and wrote down the first instruction.

Violet sighed in frustration. She had cleaned her cauldron! Right when she got to class--it was the first thing she did there. But it never did any good to argue with Professor Lafay. Next time, she would be sure to do it when the Professor was looking at her! Violet hated to get in trouble in Potions, it was her favourite subject.

Resolutely she turned her cauldron back over, pointed her wand at it, muttered "Scourgify!", pointed her wand at the surrounding table, muttered [B]"Scourgify!" again and watched the last puddles of water disappear, leaned back in her seat and droned out "CleanlinessContentConcentrationCareColour," and prepared to begin again.

"Aguamenti." she said, pointing her wand again at her now empty (and really, really clean!) cauldron. "Incendio." she said, pointing her wand beneath the cauldron and watching the low flame begin to flicker. She sat staring at the opposite wall for a few minutes while she waited for the water to come to a low boil, then finally was ready to go onto the next step. Fortunately she was pretty efficient at potion-making, thanks to all those years of drilling by her governess, so she wasn't too far behind the class.

William walked over to the potions cuoboard. William picked up two cups. He poured the Elf-made wine vinegar into his two cups very carefully, making sure he did not spill it. He weant to his Caulderon and poured one cup of the burgundy wine vinegar carefully into the cauldron. He repeated the same process with the other cup.

Oooh. Next step. Next Step. This would be fun. And they got to put elf-made wine vinegar in too. That would be fun. Although Indiana had had no idea that elves could make wine. She had just thought that they made presents for christmas. They were obvious very busy little things. With a smile on her face, Indy picked up her two cups, and wandered over to the potions cupboard, following some of the other students. She waited for them to fill their cups, before she filled her two up. Not right to the top though, because she would probably get it all over the floor. Carefully she turned around, and walked back to her bench.

She placed both cups onto the bench by her cauldron, and quickly wrote on her parchment, before she carefully poured both cups of the liquid into her cauldron. There perfect.

While her water was heating up, Violet hurried over to the potions cupboard and carefully measured out two cups of the wine-coloured vinegar (that was pretty! she would have to see if she could get a robe that colour some time when her guardians were in a good mood!). Returning to her workstation, she saw her cauldron was ready and, mimicking what she had seen the professor do, she slowly poured in the vinegar to join the water.
