So, he remained silent just keeping looking at her.
Then she started to speak...of her summer plans yet what she had voiced so far was not really explaining much. The last summer to spend with the friends of her family? And she was going to be spending most of the summer with them. Well...this was kind of good news since that meant no Riley for the most of her summer yet this very much sounded like what she did the last summer and also her adding the fact that it was going to be 'her last summer she could visit them' kind of confirmed it.
However there was still a little flaw there. ''Why last?'' Something that confused him a bit. ''I thought you said they were your relatives.'' Yup. He remembered that. He remembered her mentioning visiting her relatives not...some friends of family. Oooor wait! He remembered her mentioning friends of family as well. Now...he was utterly confused ''Well...your relatives or those friends?''
Then the question that reminded him how difficult the summer was going to be was asked to him. It was going to be very difficult to leave the house. ''As soon as possible....i am afraid.''
Erm, well she wasn't expecting this many questions about her summer. Especially since they were starting to get more into the detail about it. However, his questions...they made her freeze.
...Oh Merlin...
Turning her head to look at him, she searched his eyes while keeping her expression hopefully neutral, hoping to see that he wasn't all that curious about her mix up of words. Had she really said they were relatives before? Realizing that she was taking far too long to answer him, Evelyn let a a cross between a grin and a smirk appear on her lips as she swung her legs over his lap. "Relatives...friends...you can't really tell with my family anymore." she muttered, gently running a hand through the front of his dark hair.
So, they could stop talking about that, right? Yes. Evelyn thought so.
Hmm, she didn't particularly like Josh's answer to her own question though. As soon as possible? "Really?" Nooo. "You can't stay for one night perhaps?" Queue the pout face.
"Oh hi William!" Rebecca said with a huge grin. "I'm doing just fine, thanks. And how are you today?"
" You sure are happy" Willaim told Rebecca. " I guess you have some fun ready for sunner vacation" William said to Rebecca. " I am doing good today and hopefully for the rest of my life, too" William explained to Rebecca.

Was there something wrong?
Her immediate pause of course made the boy's mind slip to the thoughts of that if there was a need to ask more questions about her summer visits to find out about it even more as...he almost felt like there were more details, important ones, than what she had said. So he narrowed his eyes a bit as he always did when he tried to focus on a certain thought or idea. And she was just staring at him. The silence was making him a bit...suspicious and impatient...
...however...he came to the conclusion that the reason for the pause and silence might have been something completely different right after her next act. He looked down at her legs for a moment before looking back at her. She was answering his question. She was talking. So he had to pay attention to her words, of course. ''Your family must be a huge one then.'' he said not really knowing what he exacly meant by that. Yet, it did not matter, did it? Pureblood families were always confusing to him after all.
Smiling a bit as she played with his hair, now there was no single question left on his mind about the summer with her family friends or relatives whoever they were. He just reached to hold her hand again, though, when she asked him that. At first he couldn't do but nod at her as an answer yet the next question obviously needed more than a nod to be cleared. ''I don't know. My uncle doesn't know the exact date when i would be back in London. I am to call him to pick me once i am there.''

Aurora smiled as she watched Nika introduce herself. At least she seemed more cheerful now. She bit into another Jelly Baby and settled a little more.
Nika nodded her head calmly when on the inside she was feeling envious. Everyone at Hogwarts seemed to have such extravagant plans for the holidays. Lots of traveling, parties, and Nika just had home. "I'd trade staying at home for formal dresses any day." She said reassuringly. Nika liked to dress up. Though, the only real dressing up that she did was for playing pretend.
Then when Aurora started to mention visiting her brother her voice caught and she seemed to change her sentence a bit. Nika wanted to know where her brother was, but knew that she appreciated it when Aurora didn't question how her mood was so odd so Nika wouldn't question this to return the favor. It was only fair. "I just wish I had something to do. My only real excitement is Hogwarts." That's why she loved it. There is drama and mean professors, homework and rules, but it was exciting.

Thank merlin she was with these two and not with Samira or Emily. Nika couldn't help but giggle as Aurora asked the newcomer whether she'd like a Jelly Baby. "You sure love those things don't you Aurora?" Not like Nika could blame her though. Candy is always addicting.

Days of Potter 2023:___________________________ Which Bertie Botts Flavour Are You? You are Lemon!
Theodore pulled away in unison with Alfie, a rose-colored flush having crept onto his cheeks during their lip lock. He had done it. He did it! Or rather, they had done it. Did it. Grammatical perfection if nearly impossible during such moments of emotional intensity. His lips felt tingly and keeping one arm wrapped around Alfie's waist, he took his hand and disentangled it from her hair, touching his forefinger and middle finger to his lips. Theodore still was in a state of slight shock. Was elation a normal feeling? Or was it abnormal? So many question ran through his head, which felt oddly numb and blank. "Don't worry," He mused, laughing with relief, "I nearly gave myself an aneurism from all of the worrying that I was doing." It was only when he heard giggling, not the soft, harmonious giggling of the girl in his arms but the raucous laughter that was typical of tweens, vibrating through the corridor. Reluctantly breaking his gaze from Alfie's set of large, blue eyes, he saw two black-haired girls quickly whip back into their compartment. They couldn't have been older than twelve.
"I-I think we should get going," Theodore grimaced, not wanting the moment to end. "If Emma comes looking for us and thinks that we've been snogging while she babysits Jay and Bree, it won't be pretty." Loosening his grip on her, he took a step back, their hands still holding onto each others as always. They always seemed to be glued together by their hands by from now on, maybe they were going to be glued by their lips? Batting away that thought, Theodore, smirking slightly, bent down slightly to give her a small kiss at the corner of her mouth before resuming their walk to the trolly.
Alfie's features only seemed to light up further as Theo mentioned how much worrying he had been doing, her expression falling into a state of pure endearment as she admired the boy with her large eyes. "Well, at least now you know there was no need to worry," she pointed out with a bit of a grin, enjoying their proximity, her hand yet to fall from the back of his neck. "I'm really glad you did it," she admitted, the blush still evident on her soft expression. It was only as she heard girlish giggles from somewhere nearby that the blonde seemed to snap out of this dreamy daze she was in, turning only to find a couple of girls quickly return to their compartment. Her hand gently slipped away from Theo's neck, falling down his torso to rest on his chest as she turned back to the boy before her with the most amused of smiles. She then let out a soft giggle filled with disbelief; she'd just been caught kissing Theo! She could've melted then and there.
Alfie couldn't keep her eyes off the boy, listening to him suggest that they get back to Emma, releasing her waist in the next moment. The little blonde seemed light as a feather, as though anything could knock her to the floor, unable to wipe the smile from her delicate features which seemed permanently flushed with a warm pink colour. As Theo awarded her with a kiss on the very corner of her lips, her large blue eyes fluttered closed for the small moment. And in the next they were open once more, practically sparkling at Theo; she couldn't help but beam at him without shame. She'd never felt so elated. As they made their way to the food trolley, the blonde kept close to his side, their hands still connected comfortably, but her expression didn't change. Her butterflies refused to leave, her smile seemed to be a permanent fixture, her blush remained soft and pink on her cheeks; and her blue eyes, which were always incredibly large, were the same saucer-like size but now were positively twinkling with happiness.
Devastated, he was. He'd hurt her more than he thought, and he'd never intended to do so. Plus, it didn't help the situation that he was thinking about how he'd made two girls cry while on the Hogwarts Express. That may be a record. At least it was a personal one.
Treyen looked down to the floor for a moment. She was afraid to what? Believe him? But that's what she had to do, yet the boy knew how hard it could be to trust him again after what happened.
He didn't comment...yet. But since her crying had subdued somewhat, he stood up only to take the seat across from her. His eyes were on the moving landscape this time, so as to give her a moment. Or two. Moments that lasted too much because tears sounded louder than anything else. That's how it felt in his heart, though, and he was only listening to it at the moment.
"Ellie...," it seemed like forever ago since he last said her name in her presence, his eyes still remained on the window, "...would you give me a second chance?" he finally asked her, failing to look at her, again.
She was probably not going to have an answer for that.
"At least as friends?" but she could have an answer for that last one.
SNIFF.
She continued to rub one of her eyes while she looked out the window with the other. Now she'd like to be farther away from London. To have time for her face and eyes to return to their natural appearance, free of redness and blotchiness and other gross stuff that came with crying. And to finish this terrible conversation.
Which she was still unhappy she even let happen, the crying. Thank Merlin she was able to recover quickly. Not that Treyen hadn't seen her cry in her third year, he just hadn't caused it then. It was easier then. Ellie didn't care then.
He was asking the hardest questions ever and was expecting an answer, wasn't he? Sure, she could confess that she didn't know again, if she thought she wouldn't regret that decision later. Plus he'd probably take it the wrong way. All she needed was time to think. About everything.
"I...I don't want to lose you...as a friend." She didn't think so, at least. He was still a great friend...before. It was only that she didn't know she could trust him. Whether she was ever really able to trust him. She needed to think that through, to convince herself that she was being the absolute idiot she knew she was for wrapping herself up in a security blanket of caution.
Treyen was a great...whatever he was, too. And, of course, she still liked him. That feeling hadn't gone away. And now with Summer and a whole two plus months of not seeing him so close...what if she had some epiphany in a few weeks and knew exactly what she wanted? He wouldn't be there to talk to. Ellie felt as if she had to have an answer now but didn't want to give the wrong one.
Sigh. "I.." She thought so, but she wanted to avoid saying 'think'. She wanted to give him a solid, straight forward, positive yes or no answer. And...actually, they could arrive in London any moment now...and she could just avoid the entire question altogether.
No, no...that wouldn't help. Sigh. "Yes." That was her final answer. She didn't know when she'd be able to give him this 'second chance', though, mind you. Could be...years...or even hours...and that's what sucked about it. But she definitely, most definitely would probably give him a second chance. As friends or more.
"I still owe you an answer, don't I? From...then." Ellie was pretty sure she had one now. An answer to whether she'd forgive him or not. If he still wanted to know. Her eyes rested on his again. She wanted to tell him anyway. She didn't want to be thinking about 'what if' she'd given him an answer from the start all holiday long.

His eyes were still on the window, and they were going to stay there for quite some time. Or so he thought, because the moment she started to speak again, his eyes fell on her, he couldn't help it. And he did pick up the 'as a friend' addition towards the end. Well, that's what he cared the most about, truth be told.
"Neither do I," it was safe to say that that was all he needed to know, because losing her as a friend wouldn't have any sort of recovery from.
And Ellie didn't have to answer any question now, because the 'friend' part was settled. That's all that mattered, at least for now. But she still managed to give him an answer. An answer he wasn't expecting and it became clear he was surprised to hear that 'Yes', his face didn't hide it, he'd been expecting a 'No', instead. Yet she didn't mention when and he wasn't going to push his luck right now. 'Yes' will have to do. He merely nodded, words were something he couldn't afford at the moment, mainly because they weren't coming to his mind again.
Blink.
He had NOT been expecting that either. That's why he didn't even bring it up. To him, she wasn't going to forgive him, simple as that. Ellie didn't have to answer that question. If they were in the path of becoming friends again, though, then she probably ought to, right?
Suddenly, he felt like he really didn't HAVE to know if she'll forgive him or not. Treyen was probably terrified to know the answer to that anyway. "You do?" yes, he knew she did, but it wasn't like she owed him in any way, "Do you have one?" because maybe she didn't and she was only stating what was obvious.
Blue eyes on him again. How quick his heart reacted to them. Amazing.

Well...that was already clear to her. He'd asked because he had wanted to still be friends, he'd wanted that second chance. Ellie SO felt like she was being incredibly horrible to him, thinking about that. He'd done HOW much to avoid her being mad at him? Which she wasn't even close to being. Maybe.
It was probably too bad she wasn't looking at him. She'd have laughed at his face. But felt even worse.
"Yes." She really really did. Ellie took a shaky breath, as one did after crying, before continuing. "I don't think I can. See, you asking for forgivness...that implies that you did something wrong. Which you didn't. No matter how much it hurt," she cleared her throat, "You could do whatever you wanted, really. You could kiss anyone you wanted to. And so you did. And so you have nothing to apologize for, and I have no reason to forgive you." That...made sense, yeah? He understood what she was going for?
"I would, though. I...I honestly don't care about the kiss. Or even that you wanted to kiss someone..." Though that hurt, she couldn't hold him against it. Just...if he hadn't denied it, that he wanted to, she'd greatly appreciate it.

Right. So, she did have an answer. And he was almost too certain he wasn't going to like what she had to say. Oh, look at that, he was right.
He didn't agree. Shocking.
Treyen shifted in the seat a little bit as he heard her speak. Ravenclaws. Sigh. She could've given him a 'Yes' or a 'No', but.......she'd been thinking about it, hadn't she? That made him feel even worse somehow. Truth be told, he'd thought that he was the only one thinking about this whole situation, and she'd also been doing that, in a way.
"No," he suddenly said, after listening to ALL she had to say, and shook his head. His former self seemed to be back rather quickly, though, that former self that hadn't been around in approximately three weeks. "That has to stop," he continued, "I didn't want to kiss her...I DON'T want to kiss anyone else...and whilst we could say that, fine, maybe "subconsciously"...," yes, he air-quoted, "...I may have wanted to do so, and that perhaps I may not had been in my right mind and acted out of an impulse," and yes, technically, they never said they were exclusively seeing each other, so, he could kiss whoever he wanted, but..., "You still don't get to tell me that I have nothing to apologize for, because you have not the slightest idea of how I felt, of how incredibly terrible it felt to know that I had ruined us...I do have everything to apologize for." And he wasn't going to cry, but his eyes really felt like they wanted to.
He stood up, and looked at the door, "I told you about what happened," he said, in a much softer tone, "I am the one to blame for the hurt I've caused you," he turned to face her, "I think I can apologize for that," if she didn't want to take his former apology, of course.

No? No WHAT? She'd said nothing he needed to respond to. But, hey, if Treyen was going to go there, Ellie was following.
Woah, woah, woah. "Not "subconsciously"," she started, air quoting BACK at him, "YOU were kissed first. You had that moment to think about it. You CHOSE to kiss back." Facts. "And impulse or not...you wanted to." She didn't CARE that he did. Couldn't he just admit it? Yeah? Please?
Treyen had gotten that right, though. HE had ruined them. So, thanks for hurt on both sides, Lockhart.
...And here they were. Arguing...disagreeing...whatever again. And, actually, if felt totally and completely and wonderfully normal. And it scared her when he stood and looked at the door. Her own eyes flickered to it for a moment. She...uhm...didn't want him to leave.
Ellie swallowed, tensely watching him. "...I think you can, too." She'd totally forgive him for that.
Which probably wouldn't have held true had he apologized a few minutes ago.

WHAT?!
He looked away from her, and fought the urge to smirk, yes, smirk, because he was somewhat glad that Ellie was talking back. Even if it was an argument, it didn't matter to him. She wasn't crying, she wasn't saying 'I don't know', and she was talking back at him. That was a change. One that, if one removed what it was all about, was a nice one.
"Yes, subconsciously," he didn't air quote this time around, but his tone was softer, "And you just want me to say that I wanted to kiss her, well, I am NOT. Honestly, I wouldn't have if she hadn't kissed me first, so I'm choosing to go with the impulse part." There was a tone of annoyance, and he wanted to ask her to agree to disagree, but she wasn't one to accept that. Ellie wasn't going to let it go, and he couldn't blame her, because no matter what she said, she did care about what had happened, otherwise she would've let it go a while ago.
"Because that's what bothering you, isn't it? That I said, and continue to say, I didn't want to kiss her." That was all there was to this now-deemed-silly argument.
Wait, what?
There was a little sign of a small smile on his lips. He could...apologize? "Then," he started to say, eyes completely locked on her, "I am deeply sorry for what I've put you through, and the hurt I've caused," the softest tone ever imaginable, one that didn't go with the one from before, from the bits and pieces of argument, "Please, forgive me for that."

"Then," he started to say, eyes completely locked on her, "I am deeply sorry for what I've put you through, and the hurt I've caused," the softest tone ever imaginable, one that didn't go with the one from before, from the bits and pieces of argument, "Please, forgive me for that."
Really? CLEARLY she wanted that. Her mouth opened in an attempt to confirm that, but Treyen kept going. And it hung open. Until he was finished.
"Honestly? Can I really believe you honestly wouldn't have kissed her?" She did, actually. Now Ellie only wanted to make a point of the fact that she found him hard to trust. No matter how many 'honestly's, 'truthfully's, and 'please believe me's he put in front of his sentences.
Ugh. "No, what's bothering me is that you continue to deny that you wanted to kiss her." Which was the same thing but NOT. Just different. Totally. Sort of.
Oh, he was using much nicer tones, now. She recognized his expression. That wanting-to-smile-but-probably-shouldn't expression. And she couldn't help but match it. And her own smile only grew as he went on. "Thank you." For the apology. "And...and I do forgive you." Why? She hadn't the faintest clue. But she did.
There. Done.

She continued smiling, even when it seemed he had moved on with the conversation. The girl was rather thankful for it, although Josh didn't know just how thankful she was. She had to be more careful with her words from now on. No more slip-ups. "You could say that I suppose." Sorta.
The good news just got better it seemed as the seconds ticked on. Perhaps not amazing news, but it was decent enough what with their summer situations. Josh didn't have to leave right away. "Then you can stay for just one more night? Your Uncle won't have to know." Continuing to play with his hair, her smile faded just a tad. "If you want to that is."
Though what was this 'calling' him that he was talking about? Did he mean owl his Uncle? Or...was he actually going to yell to him? She was pretty sure his Uncle didn't live anywhere near where she and Rae lived, otherwise Josh wouldn't have had to leave Rae's place...right?

No one seemed to ask about his relationship with his parents, and he surely didn't offer up the information for no reason. It was just... nice. Which is why, when Ellie thanked him for telling her, he shook his head. "Thank you for listening."
He smiled contentedly, leaning his head back against the wall and trailing his hand up and down Ellie's arm absentmindedly. He frowned slightly when she said she had no idea what her mom would think, but the frown quickly turned into a smirk. "I'd have to agree with that," he said with a nod, lifting his head up to look at her.
Ellie smiled up at Dallin. He actually didn't seem to stressed about telling her about his relationship with his father now. And that made her happy. "Any time." She said with a smile. And she meant it. Any time Dallin wanted to talk, Ellie would be there to listen, no doubt about it.
Sighing, Ellie rested her head on Dallin's shoulder and cuddled up next to him. It was nice having a small, quiet, and empty compartment to themselves. She laughed lightly at him. "She'll like you, I'm sure. I've come to realize that my mom and I are quite similar in some ways. And since I like you so much, I don't think she'll have a problem." Ellie told him reassuringly. And she wasn't real worried about it either. Her mom liked almost anyone.
Aurora raised an eyebrow. "Then you have clearly never been to a dinner party quite like my Mother's..." she said. "It's... I can't even begin to explain." Straight backed chairs, horrid pureblood old people and their bratty kids and every now and again dancing. Not that she didn't like dancing, but when you're forced to dance with other people's children for the adults amusement it kind of loses it's touch...
Aurora thought, "Well, it's my birthday towards the end of the holidays, if Mother lets me have a party then you're definitely invited." Party. If Krys was better...

"You sure love those things don't you Aurora?" Not like Nika could blame her though. Candy is always addicting.
Aurora bit the head off another Jelly Baby and it oozed red strawberry sauce. She nodded, "Best sweets ever!" [ooc: apart from redvines]
Freya took a seat in an empty compartment after searching the whole train (well, not the whole train actually) for her two besties. She hadn't seen Cass and Fee for Merlin knows how long! She even didn't see them in the end term feast. Maybe after she caught her breath she would once again find them but for now she need to sit down for a moment or two.

With her things in hand and her teeny little kitty in tow, Cass made her way up towards the middle of the train and looked into every single compartment, looking for someone she knew. After all, it was never fun to just stand in the middle of the corridor all the way to London.
Not that she had ever tried of course.
Then at last, when she thought all hope had been lost and fate had been too cruel to her, she found Freya sitting all alone in a spacious compartment. Wiping the tired expression on her face, she grinned happily at her fellow blonde and said "Hey, I've missed you."
Well she did! It had often become just Fee and her and Freya's company was totally missed.

He stepped in the compartment "hello" he said as he sat down opposite her placing his owl cage on his lap.

Leaning on the window, she rested her forehead on the cool glass. Closing her eyes, she sighed.

Without opening her eyes, Thea muttered a repsonse. 'Sorry, I don't know who Witsy is..' She had never heard of the kid if she was honest. Reaching down again, her hands found Maleficent's fur. Stroking the cat, Thea listened to Maleficent purr like some sort of engine.

Freya was deep in thought when she heard someone was sliding the door and entered her compartment. She wondered who just entered so she turned her gaze towards the door and saw Cass standing there grinning.
"YOU!" she stood up and quickly hugged her besties. "Where have you been? I missed you so much." There are a lot of questions the blonde wanted to ask Cass but right now she settle with that question first.

Yes, then it could be a called a huge family yet if that was the case, it was kind of odd how there was no single relative among them to take her...since she was living with Rae. Maybe...none of the relatives wanted her...or whatever, the boy thought the she-snake would not like it much if he tried to stick his nose into her family business. So, he was not going to mention another word about that either, no matter how much he wanted to do so. At least he knew she was happy living at Rae's.
Then she repeated the question if he could stay for one more night at Rae's. If he could shape things his way, as he wanted them to be, of course the Gryffindor would spend every single minute of the summer with her there. However, he had no such power...even though he was a wizard. An of-age one.
On the other hand he knew he was not going to feel comfortable with lying to his uncle. Therefore Josh kept his deep silence just staring at the beautiful Slytherin girl as he thought over the idea...for a few minutes.
''Of course i want to...but...'' Heh. This was his last chance to spend with his girlfriend before the long summer break seperated them though. And maybe he could deal with it without lying anyway. Uncle Dean was not going to know it the moment he took a step in London. Then he could just pretend he just arrived the next day. ''...well...all right. I think just one night won't cause any trouble.''
Really? CLEARLY she wanted that. Her mouth opened in an attempt to confirm that, but Treyen kept going. And it hung open. Until he was finished.

There. Done.
Treyen shook his head, more as if to get rid of everything going in his head than an actual answer, "I think you know I wouldn't have done that, but as far as whether you can believe it or not...well, that's up to you, really, you SHOULD, but I know you don't trust me anymore," and that was the hardest of things, trust was something you earned, and once lost it was rather difficult to get it back.
He'll try his best to do that, but it also depended on Ellie.
Sigh.
That was the same thing he said! Only backwards! And he was dying to point it out...but refrained from doing so. "Because I didn't!" will it all go away if he did say he'd wanted to? But if he said that, then he'd be lying. So, no, he wasn't pleasing Ellie with an answer she wanted.
He sighed one more time...and then...chuckled? He chuckled? He did. "It is rather pointless, isn't it?" to be arguing about whether he'd wanted to kiss someone else or not. It was getting them nowhere.
Then again, all their arguments had always been pointless.
But...that was a small smile he saw, right? His smile did grow, and he nodded, "Thank you," finally! One apology she accepted.
His eyes found the door again, "Can I write to you? Over the summer?" he wasn't looking at the door anymore, but at the floor.
