Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

With a heavy sigh, he rested his head back and watched the flames lap at the logs of the fires. "Fresh starts are always good, providing you are not running from anything." Slowly he turned his eyes back to Lexi, giving her a soft smile. "What you run from, will always catch up with you. Trust me, I know. But you have to do what's right for you. There will be drama anywhere you go, it's a part of life. How we chose to handle it, and react to it determines how much it affects you and shapes you." He wasn't going to, couldn't, tell her what to do one way or another. That was a choice she had to make and which he would support either way. That was his duty, as her friend.

"Thanks" she said again "And I'm Emily Smith, also a first year! Nice to meet you Nika"
Emily was exhausted from her treck from the library to the common room but she was still eager to meet someone new.

Emily was exhausted from her treck from the library to the common room but she was still eager to meet someone new. A fellow first year! Nika was very happy to hear that Emily was in her year because this way she would get to see more of her. "Nice to meet you too Emily!" Nika was a bit unsure what she should bring up next. "So, did you get these books at the library? I haven't had a chance to go there yet, is it nice?" Nika loved visiting her library in her home town, but ever since she got her acceptance letter she hadn't even thought of reading yet because she was just too excited for it all.
