The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.
Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!
"Ahhhh, I see. Little thing needs to learn to adapt to Mummy having other commitments." Eben replied, raising a knowing eyebrow slightly.
He smiled and nodded. "I was really nervous when I heard that we had to take the this major test at the end of the year. But I think I'll be pretty good at it. Mum has already taught me half the stuff that I've been taught this year."
"You're a fan of pink?" the boy asked cocking his head as if asking a question. He liked pink on girls, but never wearing it. He wasn't that sort of boy who thought 'Only tough guys wear pink'. Those sort of people annoyed Eben to no end.
He nodded. "Thanks so much for the advice! I'll definitely keep it in mind."
"So are you on the Quidditch Team?" Eben was really interested in that, and if he could try out this year, that would be a big step to getting to know more people around Hogwarts.
"No doubt." Annie answered with her eyebrow raised. She was scared of her own pet at times. When Eben mentioned his mother teaching him all they were being taught there, she couldn't help but smile. "I'm like that with dad, he's the wizard and before I came here he used to homeschool me, so I just learned a lot the first three years of magic lessons and when I came here, everything was different, but simple." She added with a nod and still wearing that smile.
Annie shook her head and laughed. "No, pleaseee...PINK is just the colour I can't bare to see." She said, shaking from the excitement to say that she hated pink, although she was starting to wear it.
"Welcome." She answered with a grin, then again shook her head when asked about being in the Quidditch Team. "Nah, I'm a bit of a grounds girl. I play soccer, and plan to be in a team as soon as I turn 17..." She said, all proud of it.

Krizza jumped to her feet and called out, "Annabel!" She called the girl who just walked in the Common Room. She was sure it was a fellow first year.
"Hey, you're Annabel, right?" She asked, not quite sure if the girl even know her. "You can join us here. By the way, I'm Krizza. And this is Hugo."
She smiled her sweet smile. She thought this was not gonna be boring. But she was wrong. It IS not boring, It is so much fun. She thinks she'll earn new friends.

Reason: incomplete
Ellie moved a pawn out, too, reflecting her friend's move. That sounded like a good game plan. Especially because she didn't know what else to do.
Whaa? What was he going on about now? Where.... WHERE does this boy get this from?!
"I may not be her biggest fan... But I'm not about to go accusing her of all sorts. Do you realize how much trouble that could get her in? Besides, the Headmaster trusts her....enough." But then again, it wasn't as if Truebridge had the cleanest slate, either.
But she had liked him. HE didn't use kids on experiments.
Eli smiled at the girl who was watching them play. "Hi." he said. See, Ellie? I'm a friendly sort!
He moved out his queen's rook pawn as well. "I don't think the headmaster realizes. Like how he didn't realize about that werewolf lady's boyfriend kidnapping kids a few years back." He hadn't been there, of course, but he had heard. It was all over the papers. "I heard my stepfather and mum talking about it over the summer. He said the Headmaster was fair on oblivious about the whole thing, up until that dude came into the castle and he killed some kids." He wasn't sure if that was exactly what happened, but it was close.
"And anyway, if he is aware, he might be in cahoots with her. I know for sure some of the other professors are thick as thieves with her-- ... I just came back from the potions lab, where they're having some kind of secret dinner meeting. I tried to talk to Lafay and she kicked me right out before I could see too much, but they were definitely plotting something. They were covering up for it, trying to make it look like a dinner party but I saw right through them. I mean really, who has a dinner party in a potions lab, especially with the great hall just above? It's totally suspicious. They were brewin something, there were a bunch of weird smells and hissing cauldrons. And the astronomy professor had some sort of plant in his hands; the herbology professor was there too. Along with the lady from charms." Inspector Jarod thought about this, trying to deduce what evil was afoot. "You don't suppose... they are all neo-DeathEaters? And they were working on some sort of complex, dangerous thing that involves all their particular areas of expertise?" The idea of the lovely Charms professor as a DeathEater made him sad. But.. now that he thought about it... it was always the ones you didn't suspect. The quiet, nice ones that kept to themselves.
He looked at Ellie and the other girl. "You know... we all may be in very real danger. We should band together, get some of the smartest kids in the school together and go figure out what they're doing before... we've got to do something, before all the students of Hogwarts are killed!" In his excitement, he raised his voice a little more than maybe he should have. Half the common room might have heard that last.
Krizza jumped to her feet and called out, "Annabel!" She called the girl who just walked in the Common Room. She was sure it was a fellow first year.

how did this girl suddenly know my name??? people like that are strange, i think i'd best just be friendly and not be tight just friendly "Hi Krizza and Hugo, I'm sorry I have to go meet someone down at the lake..." Annabels voice trailed off as she slowly edged towards the door. How strange is that, never ever met her and she knows my name, best to keep away from them, or maybe just her...

Gr. Why were the days so short?? Ari stepped into the slightly-cramped common room, cello case in her left hand, white cane in the right, and moved over to where she knew the windows were.
She was wearing a thin, longsleeved V-neck black shirt with wide sleeves, and a layered skirt with varying shades of red. Perched on her head was her black fadora--which she had been complimented on several times today--which was pulled down a bit low, contrasting with her pale face. She set down the case, pressing her glasses close to her eyes, as she stood in front of the window. It was getting dark out, and she could feel the cold air radiating off the glass on the window. Winter nights were the best. So dark...so cold.
Her head jerked ever so slightly to the left, hearing the distinct voice of Eli Jarod. She wasn't eavesdropping...exactly...okay, maybe a little, but Ari couldn't help it. She listened to him--she listened to everything--as she stood in front of the window, facing the night.
Gr. Darn curfews. Ari loved the night. The feel of it. Something about the sun was so smothering and so...not tasty. She sighed through her teeth slightly, but did not sit or turn from the window...

Krizza thought Annabel is cute.
"That's too bad. I was hoping you'd chat with us, since we're you're fellow first year." She said, a little disappointed. But never mind that. There are other times..
Alex walked into the common room she was very tired she just glanced at Hugo who was talking to a girl she did not know.
She was hoping that Hugo will turn back and see her but he was busy so she decided to walk without disturbing anybody.

"Sorry but my friend told me to be there straight away." Annabel said
Louisa walked into the Common Room, "STUPID PUZZLE!" She frowned at the closing portrait. Who would ask such a stupid question? She'd been trying to solve it for 30 mins!! And she had something really important to do i.e. reading Potions. She approached one of the empty chairs and threw her backpack on it and then let herself comfy before opening the Potions book she had in her hand.
...
...
...
FINE! This book was hopeless! She would never get to understand this subject. UGH! She jumped to the floor cross-legged and buried her face into the book forcing her eyes to run across those lines of letter...words or whatever they were. She would never let anything to get away from her brain. HEH.

The knocker was faulty. Jimmy had spent a good ten minutes explaining that its logic was faulty and in fact if a riddle had more than one answer, it was a stupid riddle. Wasn't the point supposed to be to that the riddle would be too hard for the other houses to get in? Stupid eagle knocker.
Sulking slightly, Jimmy went on in to the common room and threw himself into a chair with a good view out the window. It was kinda nice looking out at the mountains.

Skye's eyes followed Enya as the other girl stood up. Why was Enya making such a big deal out of this? It had only been one little detention.
"No, Enya. I'd tell on you, only if you wouldn't do it yourself, to avoid getting everyone innocent involved in trouble. If I hadn't told that teacher what really happened at the feat, we all would have gotten detention. You would have landed there anyway."
Friends? What on Earth was she talking about. "Friends?" Skye repeated incredulously. "How are we friends? The last time I talked to you, you were screaming at me and everyone was covered in food." THen she finally showed expression; to roll her eyes. "Enya, it's not that I don't care about oyu. You're overreacting."
Enya blinked at Skye for a few minutes before she sighed and sat down again. To be honest she really couldn't be bothered with fighting anymore...it was just too tiring and all. She turned away from Skye and folded her arm's. She wouldn't talk to her...if she could help it...she really didn't want to be here and all.
Sigh.
After a few more minutes of quite she turned and studyed the older girl. "Look frankly all this is boring me. New subject" She said to hide the fact she had lost the debate and was wrong. Sigh. But she was telling the truth it all bored her.
Yeah she viewed the girl as a friend, there was no problem in that. If she herself didn't like her as one then it was her choice. She was the best. Smirk. The image of the feast did make her chuckle though when Skye brought it up.
Shrugg.
"Fine don't be my friend, but your missing out" She said looking away. Ha. Let's see her get around that, she'll be begging to be her friend in a minute. SHe told herself smiling. "And im not overreacting" She added looking back over to the girl.

Shoving the book away, Louisa let out a loud sigh. She should give up on Potions sooner or later. She looked around and saw that Enya was talking to Skye.. a forceful conversation. Shrug. They must've been talking about that food fight thing. Why don't they just let it go?
She changed the direction and didn't see many people, just a boy sitting by the window. He looked old enough to know things about Potions right? Louisa got up and held the book open dangling from her right hand while she walked over to him. One question wouldn't interrupt his meditation.
"Excuse me." She started her face was serious, "I was wondering if you could tell me where I can find that reliving potion in here." Like where the HELL was that. "I couldn't attend the class and my friends are..." she looked over at the two girls arguing, "..a bit busy." She looked back to him waiting for an answer. Or maybe an ignorance which will lead her spoiled mood to something reeeally evil.

"..." What? Someone wanted his help with things? Jim sighed, obviously put out by this and yet... he held his hand out for the book.
He glanced over at the girl's friends a bit vaguely.
"Yeahhh alright, kid. You just wanting to go over the class material, or is it homework you're trying to do?" Jimmy obviously was not a big homework person.
... cause homework would give away that he was a closet brain.
SHHHH.

Did he just call her a 'kid'?
Louisa blinked and almost didn't hear the rest of his words. She would never let an older student call her a 'kid'.. just like she'd call Johnny. Time to teach this boy who Louisa was… without scaring him, of course, she needed him. "Yesss.." Too much emphasis on the 's', "..I need the article where they explain how to brew that potion." Which might help in homework! Seriously was this boy a Ravenclaw? "It's not related to the homework directly, I just need to study it by heart so I don't feel left behind later. Don't worry you're not cheating because you're not solving the homework for me." That's if he really was worried about the cheating part. Snigger.
Now back to the real stuff, "And don't call me a 'kid'…please." She said seriously piercing his face with a false sweet smile. "Louisa would be fine." It wasn't her fault that he didn't know her name before, he should've asked or used a 'lady' word. Heh. And no she wasn't in a bad mood. HEH.
The little girl moved closer and started flipping through the book he just took from her. "Let's start searching from page number nine, please. That's where I last checked." She said in a nicer tone. He was good enough to help her anyway, right? " And all I could find was essays about history of potions and theoretical explanation of plenty plants. See?" She pointed at the big title on top of the page that read: ((Historical Plants)).
Luna walked down the steps saying hi to the friends she saw and looked around. it was great to be here. It was home to her. she smiled wide. her redish hair with the black underlater was in its nice natural waves/curls. She held her books tight. She was quiet and looked around finding a group here and there but she wasent sure. she sat down in one of the comfy chairs and read her book

As Alex was finding her way back to the dormitory she suddenly tripped over something as always and dashed a chair.. A cute girl was sitting over there..
She just seemed to be of her age or may be a year old..
Alex hit it hard.. her eyes were watering still she found the words...
Alex thought she disturbed the girl.. "O--Oh!! I- I a- am S--S--orry!! Sorry!!! I j--just triped--" and alex's words faded because she was in deep pain now...

"That potion is a hoax." Jimmy pointed out. "It doesn't really work, not with any true or reliable results." Truth. He shrugged. He didn't care about solving homework for people, so long as it didn't involve any extra hard work on his part.
Eughh??? Why was she smiling at him like that? Jim raised one eyebrow. "Mmmkay. Louisa." He looked at the book as she flipped it. "You sure this is the right book?"

Yeah.. she chose the wrong person to ask. It was obvious. She gave him a quick glance before nodding. "I.. think it's Potions Book yeah." She bent to read the cover to make sure she wasn't losing her intelligence in this school of magic.
"Er... Are you sure you know what I was talking about?" She looked at him uncertainly. Should she just make an excuse and pretend she found what she was asking for? Maybe.
A hoax? "Really? We can't brew it?" Not that she thought about using it but still it'd be cool to know she could when she wanted to. "Pity. I'd change lotta things if I could." Like choosing another pet than Kitty. She looked at the sleeping cat in the beige basket near the fire.
XD Tegz, I found you! Popping in if that's alright?

Oh yawn. What a day. If ever a brain had been fried, salted, and left outside for the birds to eat, that brain would probably look alarmingly similar to hers at the moment.
Stretching her arms over her head and rolling her shoulders, she tried to loosen the tenseness of a long day of classes and studying. Angling her head from side to side, the action sending her hair flipping this way that, she ambled into the common room, her only intention that of throwing herself into her favorite chair and staring out a window with no care in the world. That was the plan, and nothing was getting in the way of it.
Standing before said favorite window unknowing blocking someone else's view of the majestic distant mountains, she stretched again. Cocking her head slightly to the side at the sound of voices behind her she couldn't help eavesdropping. If merely for the fact that the voices sounded like they were suspiciously coming from the area exactly where her favorite chair was...hmmmm.
The reliving potion....a hoax? Mentally nodding, she couldn't completely smother the the tiny snort of laughter as she imaginde Professor Lafay's reaction had she been listening.
