He played the guitar? Sandra was impressed, and it showed on her face. Not many of her friend's played any instruments. They were all too involved in other activities. "I did not take you for one to play an instrument. That is very impressive." She smiled at him and tucked her hair behind her ear. "I like to listen to different types of music. Mostly classical.......I find it relaxing." Good for studying to or simply reading a book. "You didn't happen to bring your guitar with you, Noel?" Cause if so she would love to hear him play something. Heh.

"Was is scary? Putting your name in?" Liz asked Keltan. She thought he was awfully brave to do such a thing, "Haven't people, you know, died in the Tournament? Did you worry about that when you entered?" She held back more questions. Four was plenty. Liz was gaining new respect for this seventh year. He had entered the Triwizard Tournament! She ran her fingers through her hair, wondering if she would ever do that. Maybe, in the future, when she was a better trained witch, but putting herself in dangerous situations was definitely not something she practiced often.
Liz thought about what might be different if Keltan had been chosen. She probably wouldn't have talking to him, she decided. He probably would have had a group swarming him, asking about what he was going to do and how he felt. Or maybe he would be locked away in his dormitory, studying every spell there was.
Either way, Liz was sure she probably wouldn't have met him.

"So incredibly scary." Kel answered honestly, his eyes widening. He had thought about it all summer, deciding whether or not he was going to put his name in. Of course, he had decided to, because of the reasons he had already said.

He chuckled shortly, nodding again. "I... think people have died, yes. And trust me; I thought about that." he shook his head. "You should've heard me thinking, right after I put my name in. I couldn't decide if I actually wanted to be chosen, or if I just wanted the goblet to look past me and not even consider choosing me." He looked back at Liz, half smiling. "But, like I said, at least I can say I did it when I had the chance."

Why was it that people were always surprised when he said he played an instrument? Always with those reactions. What if he told them he could sing too? Usually he just left it at the guitar part and leave it be.

But, he got what he was aiming for. She was impressed! "Classical music. Good for studying." Sitting up straight, he let his gaze linger on her for a moment before glancing around to the few others in the common room. It was getting late, so surely everyone would be heading to bed soon. Of course, he wouldn't go anywhere without it. "Oui, I brought it." Should he get it now? Or...

Later? "Do you want me to get it now?"

Shaking his head as he steps into the common room, JD couldn't figure Miles out. Walking over to one of the couches in front of the fire, he sits back with his arm flung over the back. He'd found him hiding behind a suit of armor for some reason, mumbling something about being killed and roasted by dragons. He had promised to go to the Weighing of the Wands, but he hadn't followed to make sure he got there. Eying the common room door, he wonders if he should go check and make sure he was there.

Shaking his head, he'd check with Vindictus later, to make sure he went. His mind instead drifts to Ellie, a huge smile flashes across his face. He still couldn't believe what had happened down by the lake yesterday. He'd no idea what was going to happen when he went down hoping she'd follow.

And now she was his...his Ellie. His smile not dissiptating he sits there looking into the fire, happily lost in thought.

Pam saw that JD was now in the dorms. She wanted to make sure he was ok, but decided better of it. She thought he was mad at her for messing things up with Ellie. She watched as he started to smile. She was glad that something had gone right. She wanted to go and appoligise but decided it was better to leave him be to his thoughts. Instead she brought her knees up on the chair and rested her head on the arm of the chair.

His eyes wandering around the room happily, he sits back against the back of the couch, stretching his legs out in front of him. He really ought to be working on his Ancient Runes homework but he just couldn't focus right then.

His eyes setting on Pam, he realized she was watching him. "Hi." he said brightly, his smile still there, he seemed to be smiling a lot more that day since the thing at the lake with Ellie.

She looked up, He was actually talking to her. "Um hi, it's been a few days. Hows it been?" She said leaning her head on her knees now. She was glad he was smiling. Ever since she met him, she hadn't seen him smile like that. Something good MUST have happened.

"Very good!" he replies Fantastic, fabulous...awesome any adjective would work, he was finally happy, and didn't think he could be any happier at the moment.

"Everything a'right?" looking at her curiously, it looked like something was wrong.

"Well that's good." she let her feet fall, and placed her hands under her legs, looking at the ground.

"Yea, everythings alright I guess, but aren't you mad at me at all? Like, I seemed to mess things up the other day, Ellie got really mad at me."

Ahhhhh now he understood, what was wrong. "No, I'm not mad at ye, not in the least." he replied shaking his head. "The reason she was mad...well, it was because..." Hmmmm, he really shouldn't tell people that. "Well, she jus' didn't like seeing me with someone else. But, I don't think it will be an issue, bein' friends. We all need friends, right?"

Putting his hands behind his head, he looks over at her "Ye were jus' trying te be a friend, and I appreciated it. I'd been miserable fer awhile, and things were comin' te a head, makin' it unbearable.

Scratching his head, Ty stepped into the common room, still trying to figure out how his guess had been the correct answer. Because, really, levicorpus right? Well, Ty hadn't learnt that yet so he had guessed that a possible answer as to what the spell could be used for could be "levitating corpses". He had been sure he would have to wait for another Ravvie to help him out but he was let in!

Ahh, maybe he was just REALLY smart.

Flopping down on one of the blue sofas, he grinned towards the people he recognised before opening up his bag to retrieve his DADA homework. He'd just read over it now and then do it later after he'd get that book from the library.

Uncle James would be so proud of him - a right little Ravenclaw, he was. Ty grinned and began reading.

She looked up at him with a huge grin on her face. He wasn't mad at her! That made her really happy. "Yea, I understand. And yes. People all need friends. I'm trying to make as many as I can this year." She started kicking her feet around in happyness.

"So I'm guessing that this means it is good between the both of you yes??" She stopped kicking and ran her fingers through her long hair. Trying to fix the frizzyness from the chair. Stupid chair. She thought.

Seeing her grin appear, he smiles back. "That's good, ye'll need them getting through school. Not just as friends but fellow homework helpers." He remembered his first year and it seemed the only way he met people was by asking for help with the homework.

His smile broadening again, he nods "Oh, yes, excellent. We've erm...worked it out quite well." He was being vague yes, but well didn't want to tell no one without Ellie there, unless they guessed. If they guessed...well he wouldn't lie. hehe

She eyd him suspiciously, that seemed suspicous..... oh well. It was his love life, as long as he was happy, she didn't mind.

"Yes, yes. That's good. I'm glad your happy." She smiled sweetly to him. "Although all i've seen of her is her meanie-ness, i'm sure she's a very nice person. She looks nice." She sighed, wondering where Cass was. She kinda liked him, and she hadn't seen him since the start of term feast.

Skye looked around. It was obvious that Carin wasn't speaking with her, and despite her shyness and her dislike of the school so far (nothing had happened in the last month and a half to make her like Hogwarts any better), she now felt somewhat lonely. She looked away from the fire and around the room, hoping to see someone she could strike up a conversation with, but everyone looked busy. Her shoulders slumped a little. Too shy to actually go up and talk to someone, she returned her gaze to the fire.

Seeing the look she gave him, makes him want to burst out laughing. Shrugging he just smiles. She didn't want to ask, that was her choice, he thought...though he was disappointed, he wouldn't have minded replying truthfully.

"Aww, she is sweet really. I've honestly until that day never seen her get upset with anyone else. It really bothered her that's all." Shaking his head "She can definitely fend for herself though, if ever needed." he adds with a laugh.

She laughed. "Yea, I know, I was scared she was gonna hang me out the window or something.." she shuddered. "I don't like hights. That's my owls area of expertise." she remembered the day back when she met Cass at the owl shop. She giggled a little remembering the conversation they had.

A smirk crossed his face when she laughed and said that. He definitely could see Ellie mad enough to do that to someone. He just hoped it wouldn't be him. "You have an owl, huh?" That was one thing he didn't have, and always had to use the school owl for.

Though he did have muffin...sorta. Well when he told him about Ellie's pet, he disappeared shortly after...probably off to search for it.

Liz nodded, her hair falling in front of her face. She brushed it aside and said, "Does something really exciting and dangerous like this happen every year at Hogwarts?" Liz felt like that was something she should know already. Her dad was a wizard and had a subscription to The Daily Prophet, but she never really communicated with him about it. Liz was always locked away in her room, listening to her mother's sobs through the seemingly paper thin walls. Really, she didn't know much about Hogwarts until she got the letter. Liz had known there was one, of course, but her dad only told her the essential things, like the trick stair and the secret entrance to the kitchen. She zoned out, her eyes adopting a blank stare, thinking about what she would write in her next letter and how many tears her mother must have shed.

"Yup, Tahlia. She's my Tawny owl. She's really cool, and loves to nibble my finger. She walked over to the couch, and sat next to him, showing him her finger, with it's many marks on it.

Laughing, he shrugs "I've never had a pet, my mum and dad won't let me. But I do have a blue and green pigmy puff, Ellie helped me pick out..." Glancing around, he adds "Somewhere..."

She smiled. "Pigmy puffs are pretty cool." She pulled up her legs so they were closer to her. Even with the fire going she was still really cold. "They could do with turning the heat up." She shivered. "I'm always so cold! I told my mom I needed a fleece blanket. I told her, but she said no, for she thinks I don't need it." She sighed, and wrapped her arms around her legs.

"Very good for studying." She agreed. You certainly couldn't listen to any other types of music while studying. Too distracting. Her gaze followed his around the common room as well. They had been chatting for a while, hadn't they. She hadn't noticed. Heh.

Turning her hazel eyes back on him, she smiled softly. "I vould love to hear you play....but only if you vant to. If you'd like to sleep, I von't stop you. It.....is getting late." And she had only just realized this. She wouldn't stop him from getting sleep, though she could stay longer if it was with him.

Looking at her sympathetically, he smiles at a charm he remembered. Raising his eyes to meet hers, "Ye could try the hot air charm, or even the little blue flames. Setting them near yer feet in a jar."

It sounded weird he knew, but his gramma always said Start by warming your feet...and the rest of you will follow.
