Enya raised her eyebrows. A threat? Now that was an idea, something someone shouldn't have given her. She shrugged, "you got a problem with that?" She asked, Enya didn't feel there was anything wrong with it, she after all was better and prettier then Skye. She ruled!

Luna walked happily into the Common Room. Her place of comfort. She sat on one of the comfiest chairs (as she learned from last year) and began to read Hogwarts: A History she was reading about one of her greatest heroes, Rowena Ravenclaw.

La la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Rose skipped into the Common Room happily, humming a random tune to herself as she did so. Hmm... where to SIT. She needed to sit down... she was tired from Baseball! But it had been sooo fun, so she didn't reallly mind that. Hehe. She skipped over to the armchairs by the fire, and was about to sit down in one when she realised someone was already doing just that.

She almost sat on a person. Dammmit!

She was so weird. She straightened up quickly and plonked herself in the seat OPPOSITE the other girl, waving across at her with a smile that probably came out slightly forced, cause she was nervous the girl was gonna yell at her or something. 'Haiiiii there,' she said, leaning back in her chair 'Sorryyyy about that. Didn't see you there!' she added apologetically.

FAIL.

Luna nearly laughed, did someone just sit on her? Wow that was weird but funny?. "Don't worry about it," Luna smiled reassuringly, really she was thankful the she hadn't bent her book. "I'm Luna. Luna Star," she introduced politely.

Eli laughed, too, as Jacob screamed. Then he turned his attention back to Ellie-Els. "Well, I didn't mean to mess up your nice conversation. I'm only saying that you should be careful so you don't come off as a-- a scarlet woman. Sheesh, you don't need to be so defensive!" Girls. Drah-mah! He moved his bishop, which attacked her pawn and overtook it. "Check."

Ellie stuck her tongue out at him in return. But she was smiling, not scowling.

Not that SHE would have reacted any different had it been her. But it hadn't. So, she had mocking rights.

"You did too." Wasn't that why he was being so mean and awful?

She watched him make his next move. Check? "But you told me to do that!" Now she was gonna lose for real, wasn't she?

Yes, of course he could ask her a question. She said that every time he asked if he could. But this time... well, this time, she didn't know how big of a question he was going to ask. He should've been more specific. He should've asked something like, 'Can I ask you a question that could possibly change both of our lives?' or 'Can I ask you a question that I've been dreaming of asking you for the last six months?' or something like that. Well, it's too late now.

Slowly, he stood up off of the chair. His mind was racing, trying to remember one of the many speeches he'd written for this occasion. Not surprisingly; he couldn't remember a single one. Looks like he'd have to make it up as he went along.

He moved in front of Jenn, and slowly gathered her hands in his. There was a long pause as he just looked in her brown eyes, trying to think of what to say. Then, he decided he should just speak from his heart. But since he wasn't one for many words, this was going to be short.

"Jenn," he said, giving her a small smile as he went down on one knee, still holding her hands. "Jenn, I've always loved you, and I always will. I was fourteen when I met you, and I'm eighteen, now." Pause. All of that was obvious. Now, get to the question. "And I never want to leave you. So," He dropped one of his hands from hers, and reached in his pocket. His green eyes glinted as he pulled out the small, blue velvet box, and opened it. Inside, was a ring. Simple and white-gold, with three small diamonds around a bigger one. "Jennumara Abigal Blood... will you marry me?"

"I know I did. But now, look, your queen or king can be use to take down my bishop. It's all about strategy." He gestured at the pieces. "Look. I'm sorry about-- about that guy. I just don't see what the big deal about him is." He raised his chin, a defiant glint in his eyes. "Besides, you're mine to protect."

Hugo walked into the common room? WOW! What was going on there? He kept looking quietly.

That still wasn't cool.

Ellie moved her queen out to take the bishop. "Am I still winning?" Yeah, she'd like to think she was.

"Max. His name is Max. And the big deal is that you frightened him off." Simple. That's all she was annoyed about. Until...

Wait. What?!

"Uhm, no. I think I can protect myself, thanks." Grrr.

She did NOT like someone telling her that she was incapable of something. No matter who it was.

Luna saw a game of chess being played she loved wizard chess! "Hey, mind if I watch?" she asked.

...Okay so what was going on? Why was he kneeling in front of her? And be all...mushy?! It was almost like he was trying to....oh...

Blink blink....

...

Jenn's brown eyes widdened to the size of...well...bludgers. Maybe even bigger. Was this really happening? Oh goodness it felt like a odd dream. Happy, yet odd. Yeah you weren't getting any big words from Jenn right at this moment. "Oh...Kel..." Her voice was cracking a bit, and she blinked hard as tears tried to come her way. Oh wow, she was becoming more and more like a girl by the second. Looking at the beautiful ring that was in front of her, then the anxious Kel also in front of her, she smiled, and that right there was a bad move on her part because of coarse...

She started crying. She laughed happily, and sobbed happily (was that possible? Apparently so), then taking a deep breath between laughing and crying she managed to say, "Of coarse I will!" and the little crowd in her head started doing the wave and jumping up and down and setting fireworkds all around her head. At least, that's how she pictured it being.

Kel's own eyes widened when Jenn started crying. What was- GAH he didn't like tears. He moved to comfort her, although he didn't know how, when he realized she was crying tears of joy. Ohh. The realization dawning on him, he stood up and engulfed Jenn in a ginormous hug. He was laughing along with Jenn, and even felt his own eyes spring with tears. He kissed both of her cheeks quickly, then leaned back to grin at her.

"Then," He spoke slowly, taking the ring out of its box and looking at it closely. Then he took Jenn's left had, and slid the ring onto it's place on the third finger. "Thank you." he whispered, moving to hug her again. "Thank you so much."

Remember to breath...

Jenn kept on reminding herself that, smiling happily as he slid the ring onto her finger. It was so beautiful! Simple, yet beautiful. Just the way she liked it. Wrapping her arms around him as he hugged her yet again, looking over his shoulder at where the ring glinted in the dim lighting. She was going to get married! She'd be Mrs. Micheals! "No, thank you Kel. Thank you so much." she whispered into his ear, new tears coming to her eyes.

The thought dawned on her and she smiled yet again, tears still streaming down her face. Leaning back, still holding onto him, she kissed him on the lips. It felt almost different in a way to be kissing him now. Instead him being her boyfriend, he was now going to be her husband. WOW!

Skye smiled at Serena. "Well, I think it's better that you don't do magic in front of Muggles. If they found out about wizards, who knows what would happen?" she said noncommittally.

"I suppose..." she said. "But I can always talk to my mum."

Skye's bright, wide eyes, the color of the ocean during a thunderstorm, never wavered from Enya's face. She didn't even blink when Enya suggested that she had been in fact threatening her. Skye was still shy, but she had three years' more magical experience than Enya. It wasn't like a first year could actually cause her any harm. Keeping her face perfectly blank, she opened her mouth to speak.
"Enya, look. I understand your anger at me getting you into trouble, but it was for the best, and you need to let it go." She pleaded with her eyes, but otherwise kept her face smooth as porcelain.

Enya blinked at Skye, really not knowing what she was suppose to say to that! Sigh. She looked down at her hands, she knew she was suppose to let it all drop. It was after all so many months ago when she actually had the detention, but she couldn't bring herself to. She shoke her head when she looked back up.

"Let it go?" She asked glaring slightly at the girl. "How can i let it go when you landed my in detention. How do i know you wont do it again?" She asked her voice raising a little. Enya totally ignored the other girls around her, it was just her and Skye.

Hugo squeeled in his head at the couple he was stalking from behind his book. That was so cute. He looked around to see if someone else had noticed it, but turned back to not seem like a stalker.

Krizza walked in the common room, looking very tired. *sigh* She doesn't know what she's gonna do here at the common room, And she's very tired. Maybe she should call it a night? Right, maybe.. She walked to the staircase. But she noticed someone,. Yeah, maybe this night isn't gonna be as boring as she had thought. Right, she walked on to the guy reading a book at the corner. She saw that.

Was he stalking? Or just plain curious about his surroundings?
Whatever, she remembered him as a fellow first year.

She approached the guy and smiled at him. "Hey, you're Hugo, right? I saw that.. Are you stalking them? Or you're just simply amused with them?" She sat on the chair beside him.

Hmm, yes, maybe this is not gonna be boring!

Hugo turned around. "Ehm, I was just... looking. They looked so cute like that," he said.

Skye continued her calm facade, returning Enya's glare with a blank face. "It's just one detention. It was so long ago. And as to whether I'll do it again, it all depends on whether you fail to tell the whole truth yourself. But believe me, Enya, I won't hesitate if I think it's right."

She spoke quietly, al lthe while staring into Enya's face. Skye knew that when you were eleven, drama seemed so huge. Or at least, that's how it had been fore her. But it wouldn't be long until Enya realized the ridiculousness of the situation.

Ellie was taken by surprise by this forward girl. What fun was it watching?

"If you want..."

Yeah, she didn't really care.

The second year was angry, more at Skye then anything else. She was her FRIEND! Friends don't tell on each other. It was more of a unspoken rule or something - she never really could be bothered with them. Sigh. Enya stood so she was towering above Skye - the other girl's ignored.

"So basically you'd tell on me again to get detention?" She asked the girl, angry seeping through her words. She glared at the older girl. "What happened to being friends Skye? Because what im seeing now is that you don't care about me" She told the girl, a little calmer but still angry.

She onl lied because it was needed, she didn't usually lie. Sorta. But nevertheless she didn't. Sigh. This was going to be a long year.

Eli shrugged. "I didn't mean to scare him off." he said. True, it was not his intention. That did not mean he didn't like the fact that he had. Big Scary Eli. Yaaar. He looked at the board. "Yeah, that was a good move." He moved his queen's bishop's pawn up two spaces. "So how about that potion's class, huh? LaFlame is off her NUT. That bit about phoenix tears- Listen..." he lowered his voice so only those nearest him could hear. "I worked out why she got all cagey, you know. It's because she's a dark witch, and that's how she can be so blase about valuable stuff. Because she can get it easy, as a dark witch. And she's really old. She was a DeathEater back in the days of Voldemort, only she just LOOKS young because she uses that super powerful anti-aging potion. That's why she was having us brew it, because she needs loads of it to keep up her young disguise. That's why she lost it when people weren't working hard on it, because she needs more than she can make on her own."

It made perfect sense. Logic!

Skye's eyes followed Enya as the other girl stood up. Why was Enya making such a big deal out of this? It had only been one little detention.

"No, Enya. I'd tell on you, only if you wouldn't do it yourself, to avoid getting everyone innocent involved in trouble. If I hadn't told that teacher what really happened at the feat, we all would have gotten detention. You would have landed there anyway."

Friends? What on Earth was she talking about. "Friends?" Skye repeated incredulously. "How are we friends? The last time I talked to you, you were screaming at me and everyone was covered in food." THen she finally showed expression; to roll her eyes. "Enya, it's not that I don't care about oyu. You're overreacting."

Sure you didn't, Eli. Suuuuurreee.

Ellie moved a pawn out, too, reflecting her friend's move. That sounded like a good game plan. Especially because she didn't know what else to do.

Whaa? What was he going on about now? Where.... WHERE does this boy get this from?!

"I may not be her biggest fan... But I'm not about to go accusing her of all sorts. Do you realize how much trouble that could get her in? Besides, the Headmaster trusts her....enough." But then again, it wasn't as if Truebridge had the cleanest slate, either.

But she had liked him. HE didn't use kids on experiments.
