"But you still joined in," Nia pointed out. Simon had also attempted to throw a pie at Raiden, when she and him had gone to investigate. It didn't mean that they felt the need to join in. Far from it, in fact. JD and Simon were VERY lucky they hadn't got anything that stained on Nia's dress, really. She would not have been impressed in the slightest. Oh no. She liked that dress. Her whole outfit. Especially the fluttering wings.

Anyway. What was done was done, with the food fight at the ball and the detention. A smile spread across her face as he laughed at what she presumed was the memory of the cake fight. That...was probably one of the best moments from her time at Hogwarts. The people. The experience. The memories. Oh, how she wished they could have played Quidditch this year. They might have topped it. But it wasn't to be. This year...hadn't been her year. It was a bit of a downer to leave on, really.

"Just...get her good, yes?" She winked. She was going to miss all her Quidditch teamies. They'd have to have a big reunion or something sooooon. Maybe...if she got taken into a Pro team, she could have a big flying celebration. Not that she'd let on about having tryouts to anyone yet. They weren't until the summer, and she had other things to focus on in the meantime.

"You go do that," Nia said with a nod. And so he wouldn't have to worry about dripping all the way to the dorms, she cast a silent 'Scourgify'.

Liz sat down on one of the armchairs farthest from the fire because, unfortunately, none of the desired were open. She opened her textbook. Homework. Positively lovely. At least it was for Liz, anyway. Homework was something solid for her.

She sighed and put quill to parchment. As she wrote, Liz bit her lip and impatiently blew hair away from her face. Indeed, Liz looked studious.

Pam looked over and watched as Liz sat down and took out her homework. Maybe Pam should be doing hers. Well she'll get to it. But not after having some fun first. Pam got down, and started crawling on the floor. She new she looked weird, but she just ignored the looks she got.

She crawled all the way over to Liz, and crept up behind her parchment. She peered her eyes over the parchment and grabbed the quil. She smiled and sunk back down to the floor, and crawled away, trying not to laugh.

"True..." he didn't know what had gotten into him this term, yes there wasn't quidditch, but this was getting ridiculous. "So did you have fun at the ball then?"

"Of course." hehe he looked forward to getting Ellie back for Nia. Hmmm there was many ideas that were floating through his mind about getting her back. It might take some thinking though to decide on which is best. "I'll send you an owl describing what I did and her reaction. She might just send you one herself, if she finds out why." he adds laughing again.

Watching as his clothes and skin got much cleaner he looked over at Nia, "Thank you. I think I'll head up and shower. I'll be back though." he added with a grin. He hadn't got to talk to his friend much that term, and knew their time was short, with term ending so soon.

Did you have fun in the ball? It almost taunted her.

Honestly, she didn't know. She had, for the most part. If she forgot about the incident. And pretended it was all in character. And ignored the lead in her stomach which had been hanging around ever since, however much she tried to ignore it. And concentrated fully on studying, so she didn't see his face.

It didn't work like that though. Because she couldn't just forget and ignore. What had happened was not good. Her having feelings for him was awful. She betrayed him, and hurt two people because she was being selfish for a few seconds.

"'Twas alright, I suppose," she answered, not totally evasively - but hopefully enough that JD would drop the topic. If he didn't, then she'd find a way to only focus on the good bits.

"I'd like that," she said with a smile. "For you to keep in touch generally, as well. Let me know who the new Captain is, and how your flying upside down is, and all the good titbits of information I'll be missing." A smile flickered across her lips. She wasn't ready to think about leaving. This year was meant to have been her year as Captain.

"Welcomes." She wasn't a meany at heart, even if she had a lot on her mind at the moment. A simple cleaning spell was the least she could do. Plus it got rid of the smell so she could concentrate back on her work. "I'm not going anywhere," she replied with a wink and gesture at her book. Oh no, she'd be here long into the night, most likely.

"MEEEP!" Liz squealed. She jumped up and looked around. What the grindylow just happened? Being jolted out of the homework zone was shocking.
Liz knew who it was: Pam. Who else?

A mischevious smile blossomed on her face. Liz's eyebrows knit together and she took out her wand and looked around carefully.
There! She saw a braid that no doubt belonged to Pam. Liz crouched and stalked like a lion toward that braid.

"Ca-caw!" she screamed in her best, and horrible, impression of an eagle and quickly shouted, "Accio quill!" The quill shot into her open hand. Not even two seconds after that, Liz took careful aim at Pam and said, "Rictusempra!" and shot the tickling charm toward her friend.

Not paying attention to anyone who might be in the common room, Vashti curled up on one of the armchairs with a textbook, ready to study for finals that were definitely coming up. She'd barely slept a wink because of them - and other things. Things she both did and did not want to talk about. It was horrible having to keep it all to herself but at the same time, she didn't really enjoy the thought of anyone knowing what was going on. They'd probably only pity her, which she didn't want or need.

So she sat alone, book open in her lap, trying to study for these awful things called finals.

Rose nodded sadly and looked at the stupid thing. Still not moving. 'Yeah, I guess I just need practice,' she agreed, eith a happier smile this time. But honestly, could all magic not be as easy as potions? She was sure that she'd be able to do this spell then. Anyway. 'Your turn!' she told Eino, pushing the toy across to him.

Eino nodded in agreement, practice was key! Plus they were just first years, it would get better. Eino stood in front of the toy spider and waved his wand "Arania Exumai!" He said and the spider stood in the same place. "Oh... Ummm, Arania Exumai!"! He repeated and the spider moved slightly. Irritated, Eino repeated the incantation one more time, and the spider only moved a few centimeters. "Move!" Eino said as he walked up to it and kicked it. "There, it moved!" He crossed his arms in from of him and sighed. "Let's try something else. This spell is, umm, broken." He suggested eying the evil toy spider on its back across the room.

Rose watched Eino attempt the spell and smiled happily as he got the spider to move a tiny bit. 'Well do-' she started to say, but then he tried it again. And it didn't move, either. Oh, that was shame, but you couldn't get it every time. She laughed as he kicked it across the room, and quickly stifled it because Eino look a little angry. 'Another spell sounds good to me,' she smiled 'Which one shall we try?'

In response, he nodded and smiled, then reached for his bag and pulled out Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes. He flipped through the pages, but didn't really know what to look for. Some of them seemed to advanced and others were just plain useless. "Do you have any suggestions?" He said as he looked back up at Rose. "If not we should go to the Library and see if the Librarian has any suggestions for a Charms, or any other spells, book."

Rose thought for a moment about spells she'd heard of or wondered about, and then glanced down at the page in the book. Most of them looked too advanced. Or just useless. Who would need a spell to make you bald, for heaven's sake? Silly book. But then she remembered a couple that Maddie had told her about, some that sounded useful. 'How about Accio? Or Lumos? I'm not sure they're in the book, but I think they're simple ones,' she said with a smile. Hopefully, anyway.

Eino liked her suggestions, summoning items and light certainly sounded like they could be useful. "Perhaps both!" He said enthusiastically as he jumped! Maybe they could learn accio and summon the toy spider just so he could kick it again. "Can you cast either one of them?" Without instruction and guidance it could e difficult to learn, so he flipped through his book to see if he could find them in case Rose didn't.

Rose smiled at Eino's reactions to her suggestions. She was glad he was excited about her spell choices, because they were two spells she'd like to learn. 'Both sounds good to me, how about we start with Accio?' she said happily. 'I think I know the wand movement... hang on... I think you just have to point your wand at the thing you want to summon,' she said, thinking hard. 'Yeah, I'm sure that's right,' she said, nodding.

How convenient would it be to summon anything he wanted? If he forgot parchment for class, no problem! Just summon some! Yeah, accio really did sound like an excellent choice, it would be extremely useful. Maybe seekers should just summon the snitch instead of flying around for hours after it, but that would defeat the purpose of the game. Eh, Quidditch is dangerous. "Well, go ahead and try it!" Eino said excitedly and pointing at the toy spider.

'Okay!' Rose said excitedly, hoping she'd be able to do this one. How cool would that be?! Pulling out her wand again, she pointed it at the spider, halfway across the room. 'Accio toy spider!' she said, visualising it zooming towards her in her mind. Aaaaand.... nothing. Well, no problem, she'd try again. 'Accio toy spider!' she repeated. This time it moved, just a tiiiny bit, towards the sofa by the fire, where they were sitting. 'Accio toy spider!' she tried for the third time, and picked up and moved again, but it didn't reach her. Ughh. Stupid magic.

Levana Lovegood was laying down in the floor in the middle of the common room. She didnt care what people thought. Levana looked up at the ceiling, wondering if her grandmother, Luna, had ever done the same thing.

She was wearing ripped skinny jeans, a red and black fitted tee, and a pair of old converses.

Her bleach blond hair waved down towards her lower back. Her skin was ivory and her lips were red. Her gray eyes were peircing as if she could see through your soul. Levana had this attitude about her that made it feel as if she could own the room if she felt like it. She was thin as can be, though she looked very healthy. Her nails were always painted black. Her eyelashes were long and dark, making her eyes stand out. She had a beautiful smile but she hardly ever had a reason to. Levana was a punk and it showed.

It was good effort on Rose's part, but maybe they were just being unlucky, or maybe they needed additional instruction. "That was not bad for a first attempt!" Eino said encouragingly. Next it was his turn. He picked up the spider and threw it again, but this time not angrily, it was for practice purposes! He pointed his wand at the spider, and while doing a pulling movement with his wand he said "Accio to spider!" He was very cautions to follow Rose's example and add "toy" since he was afraid he would summon a whole bunch of real spiders. The toy spider moved slightly his way, which was very encouraging, and after three more times the spider was at his feet. He picked it up and handed it to Rose. "That wasn't so bad!" He said with a grin.

Pam felt happy, and accomplished. Until she felt the quill tug in her hands. She let go, and turned to see Liz. A huge smile was plastered across her face.

She pulled out her wand, but was too slow, for the charm hit her. She collapsed on the floor, holding her stomach, laughing.

"LIZ!!!! I'm... Gonna... Get.... You.... For.... This!!!!!!!!" She said between laughs.

Aha! Liz's charm was a success! Pam's reaction sent Liz through a fit of giggles. It was as if the charm had been shot at both of them.

"Ya know, it's really hard to take your threat seriously when you're laughing like that." She said and busted into even more laughter. It was the kind of laughter that made someone fall to the floor, which Liz did. She curled around her stomach and found that she couldn't stop laughing. Every now and then, Liz would emit a great snort, and that heightened the laughter even more.

"I... Haven't... Laughed... This... Hard... Since... EVER!!" She said through the fits of giggling.

Liz had completely forgotten, or was ignoring, that Pam was the one with the charm on her. She had also forgotten that she had to be careful with the wand in her hand. Liz accidentally banged the tip of her wand against her lips. This unplanned strike caused her lips to swell at an alarming rate. She didn't notice this until the her inflated mouth prevented her from laughing.

"Bam?" she bellowed in an attempt to get her friend's attention, "Blook ab by blips!" That was her best try at saying "Look at my lips!"

Liz let out a frightened squeal and gently pressed her balloon lips. She adopted an expression of true terror.

Pam erupted into more laughter as Liz fell to the floor. Even though she was under the charm, she couldn't help but laughing even more.

"I haven't either!!!" It truely had been forever since she laughed like this.

She watches as Liz accidently tapped her lips. Her laughter ceased immediatly, as she touched her lips. Pam wanted to stopped, but continued laughing.

"Liz!! Get this spell off me!" She said, trying to hold in her laughter.

Liz's anxiety turned to panic as Pam demanded that the charm be lifted off of her.

"Obe no, obe no, obe no, I don't bnow howb boo bake ib obb!"

She quickly stood up, and by doing so, smacked her head against the chair she had been leaning against. Liz kept her head down and hoped she wasn't attracting too much attention. She picked up her wand and placed securely back inside it's muslin holster and held a hand out to her friend.

"Cub on. We're gobing tube da hobbital bing." Liz informed Pam.
