Emma had been listening intently to the class. It was interesting learning about Muggle life, because she didn't know a lot. Muggle Jobs:
-Engineers
-Dentists
-Medical Doctors
-Astronauts
-Engineers (Chemical, Mechanical, etc)
-Actors
-Lawyers
-Carpenters
-Plumbers
-Transportation (bus drivers)
-Crime (Police)
Emma picked up her quill and began writing about what Doctors do: Medical Doctors or known as a physicians practice the ancient profession of medicine, which is concerned with maintaining or restoring human health through the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease or injury. Emma looked at what she had written, was it good enough?

Annabelle looked over at Josey. She already had a partner. Well, maybe she could still be in their group. She wanted to do television, but it's okay if they don't, she thought. Annabelle got up and walked over. "Can I be, uh, in your, uh, guys', uh, group for the, uh, project?" She finally got out.
Alcemee decided to write about veterinarians. She wrote in her notebook.
SPOILER!!: Veterinarians
Veterinarians heal animals that are injured or sick. They must have from four to eight years of education, depending on the country. Other requirements:
Excellent people skills
The ability to hear with a stethoscope and palpate with his/her fingers and hands
The sense of smell is also important (in smelling the breath of animals, they can tell if they are sick, but can only do that with some sicknesses, of course)
Vets need good hand and eye coordination and
Fine motor skills
They must be able to do:
orthopedic procedures
bone setting
trauma surgery
Some vets specialize in certain species of animals, or in certain areas of animal health, but most just generalize in dogs and cats. Vets do many different things, including doing checkups on animals, operating on them, delivering baby animals, spaying/neuturing (mostly cats and dogs), teeth cleaning while the animal is unconcious from a drug, giving animals shots, declawing cats, cropping ears and docking tails of dogs, and euthanizing (killing) animals. They also perform diagnostic test such as X-rays, EKG, ultrasound, blood, urine, and feces tests. Vets know what the animals' nutritional needs are and can give the owner advice on what to feed them. They also advise owners about breeding and behavior. Some vets are "natural vets" and do not vaccinate animals. They use more natural treatments, usually having to do with plants. Natural vets are not as common as the other vets.

A pilot is a man or woman who flies and controls an airplane. The airplane is used as transportation from one place to another, generally places that are a great distance from one another. A pilot may fly people or goods/products on the airplane.

Luna walked into the classroom for her lesson. "Hello Professor Lawson," Luna smiled as she took a sweet from the box on the desk. "Thanks," she thanked. She sat down at a desk and waited for the lesson to begin. She wrote down on a piece of parchment : Muggle Employment
She wrote down a few suggestions. Dentist, Doctor, Teacher, Waiter/Waitress, Gardener, Actress, Singer, Musician.
Really!
Lawson looked at the girl and shook his head at her. "Two points from Ravenclaw for being late to class."
Turning back to the students he pointed out a few of the students, "Canoir, Kel, Madeline, Theo and Jaenis will receive five points for their thorough descriptions of the muggle jobs they picked."
Sliding off the desk, Lawson began to move around the room once again. "Time to move on, if you haven't finished your task, you can leave it for now, I will give you more time before the lesson ends to finish it off. Now I noticed that some of you mentioned some muggle jobs that are in the medical field. Raise your hand and tell me what different types there are?"

"Professor there are pediatrician." Simon said as he put up his hand, he wasn't completely sure if he was right though or not.

Herminny heard the professor move on with the lesson and and ask the next question about medical jobs in the muggle world and she knew one because her mother took job in medications which she picked up regularly. She raised her hand and answered, "One muggle job in the medical field is a pharmacist".
"Professor. I heard my grandmother talk about a doctor they called.. mmm..A nose, ear and eye doctor. A family Doctor she would say." Kay answered. bad it was bad. she wasn't doing very well in this one.

Grawr! Another girl had lost Ravenclaw points. Two in one lesson! Hopefully they would get a lecture, because Ravenclaw meant the world to Keeley. And some silly girls showed up late to class, not even with an excuse. Ughhh! Anywhoo... muggle health people. Uhh.... umm... Ooh! Idea! She girl blinked her big brown eyes and raised her hand. This one had to be good. "What about physciatrists? For mental health, ya know?"
The meanie muggle lady had made her see one because she had lit the bed on fire and no one would believe that she had done magic. Stupid lady.
Though Cadence and Mina hadn't finished, she knew they'd get it done later. Moving on in the lesson, Cadence raised her hand smiling. "There are orthodontists, professor. They're a kind of dentist who make Muggles have straighter teeth and things!" she said confidently.

Kate sighed as another one of her ideas was said before she had a chance to raise her hand. Thinking hard of another one, she remembered a muggle doctor her father has gone to a few times...what was he called? Oh, right! "There's a chiropodist, professor!" Kate answered, raising her hand once again. "I believe they're foot doctors..."At least I think that's what's they're called...
Kate smiled to herself, glad she could finally provide an answer in the class.
"There are...those people that work with babies?" Kel asked, raising his hand. He had no idea what they were called... "They work in hosipals. With new borns." And that was about the extent of his knowledge in that subject. But what were they called? Were they just nurses? ...Hmph.

Rafe raised his hand. "What about those animal doctors? A vegetarian? A veteran...A vetra-veter...hmm..." Rafe scratched his chin. It was on the tip of his tongue. What were those muggle animal people called. "Oooh, oooh, oooh... A Veterinarian!!! That's it!" It was like a lightbulb went off in his head and he was very excited he could remember the answer. Hopefully his answer would count for something.

Patroclus smiled as he was awarded points, they were his first this year. He then raised his hand to answer Prof. Lawson, "An Obstetrician, Sir, they deal with pregnant mothers during the months leading up to birth, a baby doctor," he added with a smile for those who were unsure.
Maddie raised her hand
'A surgeon, Sir?' she offered
"Yes that is correct. And you will be interested to know that there are surgeons for different parts of the body. A doctor that specialises in only the heart or the brain. They even have what they call plastic surgeons, they are the wealthiest doctors in the muggle world. One point for your answer."

He walked back around to the fron of his desk and faced the students once again. "Okay so there are just a few different jobs in the medical field. Now as we know muggle doctors and nurses look after people's bodies. Muggles also have people who look after their houses, a general name for them is repairman or person. Now just like the medical field, muggles have different people who specialise in different things to fix their houses. Who can name the different fields of repair work on a home?"
"Sir, a plumber deals with water supply to the house, the taps, the showers and the sinks. They are involved with both installation and repair"
Patroclus smiled at the Professor, he really enjoyed Muggle Studies, as for the world to work, a harmonious coexistence was necessary between magic and non magic peoples.
Ced raised his hand, "Carpenters. Carpenters build or repair the house and/or repairs broken chairs and such." After answering, Ced continued scribbling down on his parchment, copying all the informative things he definitely should copy.

"What about a Muggle gardener, similar to a Wizard herbologist?" Fletcher raised his hand in something of an attempt to participate. Why he was taking this class again was a mystery to the boy who wanted to escape anything and everything Muggle.
