Cassie thought for a moment, tapping the end of her quill to her lips. muggles...

she raised her hand. "Muggles have more like...celebrities? We have authors or singers or wizards who discovered something or Quidditch players and Muggles have other athletes like runners and football and those people in those things.." Cassie trailed off for a moment. "Oh yes, those reality programs. People famous for doing nothing on television!" she exclaimed.

"Well, don't muggles have magazines and so do we. Both have like magazine staff," Jackie says. Yeah she earned a point.

Frowning slightly at the loss of points, Becca raised her hand slowly after listening to everyone elses answers. "Well, muggles and wizards can both paint, but unlike wizarding potraits, muggle portraits cannot move." That Becca was certain of.

"Wizards have healers to take care of the sick, while muggles have doctors," Josey said after raising her hand. "And like, muggle teachers teach different things, nothing they teach is magic."

Though she'd physically there the entire time, Jacqueline had been, for the most part, twirling one of her pigtails with one of her hands, while the class unfold before her. At some point or the other, however, she was brought back to reality. What class was this ... ? If they were talking about Muggles ...

Muggle Studies. Right. She sat straighter in her seat and raised her hand, "The mailman. What use would we have for those if we have owls?" There.

Lawson pondered the question for a moment, "Well I guess you could Katie, it is a profession that has required special training. Many sports people are paid to play their chosen game and they consider it a career."

He nodded at her answer, "Correct and that will be two points for Hufflepuff."

"Good two points."

Not only were these two inseparable, they were now even giving the same answer at almost the exact same time.

"I'll give you a point each."

"Very good Evan. Two points for Slytherin."

"No we certainly don't Simon. Good answer, two points for you."

"Excellent, take two points for Slytherin."

"Yes, yes very good Arya. Two points for you as well."

Marcus chuckled at Miles, "Nope we definitely don't have taxi drivers. Take two points."

"Very good. That's two points for you as well."

"Which is kind of the same thing isn't it Mr Upstead? I'll award you one point for giving it a go." Marcus lent back against his desk and frowned at the sugar coated hand. "And please bring all the sweets you have hiding in your pocket up to my desk please. You can have them back when class is over."

"Yes, very good. Two points."

"And another excellent answer, so you can have two points as well."

Okay some people hadn't been listening properly, "Two points for your answers." Lawson was apparently feeling generous today.

Lawson moved around his desk and began to write on the board.

"Those are just some of the jobs muggles do that we in the wizarding world don't. There are probably thousands more but we would be here all year trying to cover them all."

He turned and faced the students once again, "Now I am going to set you a little task. You may work on your own or with a partner or in a group of no more than four people. You can either pick one of those jobs on the board or come up with one of your own. But it has to be a muggle job. What I mean is, something only the muggles do as jobs and we here in the wizarding world don't. Once you have picked out a job, I want you to write a description of what that job entails and what kind of experience you would need to do that job."

He gave his hands another clap before speaking again, "Chop, chop off you go."

Selena copied it all down into her notebook. She looked around the room. Who could she work with? Or should she work by herself? Selena slumped down in her seat. She glanced again around. She'd probably work by herself. Letting out a small sigh she pulled out a sheet of parchment and wrote her name at the top...

Alex sighed pulling out a piece of parchment and wrote her name at the top and then the name of the assignment.
Should she work alone or find a muggleborn or half-blood partner.. She didn't know and settled for staring blankly at her parchment thinking of what she read about them.

Teegan gave the professor a large smile, she had earned her House some points...though she wasn't quite sure that she knew what that was or not..but it had to be a good thing since he had praised her.

She listened to him as he spoke and nodded her head once to show she understood what they were doing and skipped down a couple of lines on her notebook paper and wrote the two words forensics specialists down. She gave a little sigh and bit her lip wondering where to start on her description.

ZOMG! Torin wanted to do his on Astronauts. They were so cool how they got to like float in space and do all this cool Muggle stuff... He wanted to be an Astronaut right now during this lesson.

He walked right up to Miles. "You and me... we're doing it on Astronauts."

Victoria wrote down the list and bit her bottom lip as if wondering where she should start off at.

Libriana quickly jotted down the list. She liked the sound of paramedics. She raised her hand. "Um professor Lawson, how would you like our paragraphs?" Libriana asked as she wrote all she knew about paramedics.

Josey saw someone who she had seen before, at the treehouse. She walked over to her. "Selena right? Want to work together?" She looked for Annabelle, she should work with them too.

Miles looked at the list of Muggle jobs on the board and his eyes widened at the very first one. ASTRONAUT! He could so do that job. He wanted to write on that one cause it was just so freaking exciting. As Torin walked up to him he grinned, "Awesome! Could you just picture it? Being up in space...exploring new worlds and planets and stars and...wooooooooooooooow." He bounced slightly showing Torin he hadn't had his meds and flipped open his notebook. "I wish I could be an Astronaut." Now THAT would be cool. Too bad he wouldn't be able to.

Jackie starts to copy down the list on the board. She was doing good in this class she already got three points.
"Hmm, so pilots fly airplanes which are sort of like.......buses that fly," she said as she scribbled it down on her paper. Ohh this would be soo much fun.

Jake... yeah...

Jake frowned.

"Nnno," he replied, with a tiny scowl. "Bbbecause being a duhh-dementor isn't a wwwizarding job. Dddementors aren't wwwizards. They're c-c-creatures. Wwwizards don't guard Azkabbbban."

And with that, the boy folded his arms and leant back. No. Sweets were for Jake. He needed to stay topped up.

As his quill noted things down, the boy pulled a sugar quill from one pocket and begann sucking on the end.

Rebel.

He'd get to the task when the quill was ready.

He smiled as he wasn't the only one that wanted to go into space. "Yeah, I wanna be an Astronaut/Baker/Photojournalist!" Because they were the best jobs EVER!

He took a seat beside Miles so they could get started.

"Er, Miles... I think you forgot to take your you-know-what today." He gave the Prefect a look, knowing that Fia wouldn't be pleased that he skipped on his medicine.

Becca copied down all of the aformentioned jobs. Group work, okay. Now she just needed a group. Looking around, she hoped to spot someone she knew.

Cadence turned to Mina and smiled at her excitedly. She hadn't gotten to work with Mina yet this year. "Hey Mina! Want to be partners? I was thinking we could do something fun, like, television actors! I know a lot about those! My dad loves Muggle movies! Unless you'd rather do something else," she said with a shrug. She didn't really care what they did. That was just the one she knew most about. And it would be fun. Acting was fun.

Only one point. Pffft, not fair.

It wasn't Destiny's fault Evelyn had STOLEN her answer. Not that one could steal an answer. It wasn't like she had written it down beforehand. Heh. Didn't matter. One point was better than no points. Yup.

Destiny quickly wrote down the long list of muggle jobs that were written on the board. Some of them she had no idea what they were, so when working on her task she would use the job she had mentioned. Well, the one her and Evelyn had mentioned. And speaking of Evelyn, "Do you want to work together? Since we said the same thing."

Ha.

Selena looked up and saw a girl she wasn't sure who. She looked familiar though. "Um... yeah, and you are?" Selena asked as she arched a brow. This girl looked familiar, but from where?

Simon looked at the board oh cool, he could do this was so easy, he was glad he could do this, but he decided to see if anyone wanted to work with him. "Does anyone want to work with me?"

Hehe. A point. For saying what Destiny said.

Pfft No! Destiny somehow read her mind and said HER answer before she herself could actually answer. Sneaky Slytherin. Hearing the sneaky Slytherin ask if she wanted to work together, Evelyn smiled, feeling a little more upbeat now and nodded. "Yea, sure." she said, scooting her desk over so it connected with Destiny's. "Mail dude right?"

Bahahaha! She messed up Lawson's organization.

Miles laughed at Torin as his knees bounced up and down, "You could be an Baker, Photojournalist IN SPACE!" Oh what a brilliant idea. He giggled slightly and looked around.

Looking at Torin again his eyes widened and he shook his head, "Nope. Didn't forget. Don't tell Fi, okay." She still didn't know that he didn't always take his medication. "Alright so what would you need to do to be an Astronaut....go to school...."

Herminny mpost certainly wanted to do her assignment on her own and picked lawyer because she knew a bit about that job considering her mother is one. And thius she wrote a bit on that:
