Looking up when Frankie and Kali took off running Marie was happy to see Carter come in. And then he was tackled by the crups. "Frankie, stop that!" She said as she jumped up and started to run over to Carter thinking he was really being attacked.
That is until she heard him laughing. Oh phew, they were only playing.
"Thanks," she said as she took Frankie from him. "I hope you don't mind that I let Kali out to play. She looked a little lonely when I was playing with Frankie."

3rd Year Slytherin
Visit 1:
Today was my first time to see Frankie without the Professor there. He was sleeping when I first arrived at the nursery. After waking him he started to lick my hand, then he bit me. Luckily Carter brought a steak for me to give to Frankie (he's so thoughtful) which he totally loved.
I tried teaching him to sit, which he did for about 10 seconds. We will keep working on that.
Need to get a leash and a collar so Frankie can get out of cage and run around a little more. Duplicated ball Carter brought Kali so Frankie would have one to play with too. Need to get some toys for him.
Visit 2:
Today Frankie was runniing around his kemmel when I arrived. I put his new collar on him then took him out for a walk using the new leash I had brought too. He loved running around outside. We had fun wrestling and running around.
Once I got him back in his kennel I gave him some water anf the chew bone I brought for him. I also gave Kali some water.
I then wrote a note for Carter telling him I gave Kali a bone and that I left a collar and leash for her too. He was happily chewing on his bone when I left.
Frankie and Kali were both chewing on their bones when I left.
Visit 3:
Today I did not get to take Frankie outside to play since it started to rain shortly after I got to the nursery. Luckily I had brought him a new toy so we were still able to play. He seems to like playing tug of war with me.
I let Kali out to play too while we were waiting for Carter to show up. It was funny to watch both krups trying to get the rope from each other. I'm glad I got that toy for Frankie. Might have to get one for Kali now too.

Mina skipped out to the nursery again. Maybe a night of sleep had calmed Chloé down. She was still a bit upset with the knarl for running away from her, but she kind of understood now. The growling crup had scared her and that's what caused Chloé to bolt, but that had still given her a scare for sure.
Walking in, she glanced around. Okay, it was quiet and there wasn't any loud noise to scare Chloé. Good, Mina didn't want to have to calm the knarl down. She still had to give her the treat. They weren't exactly easy to come by and if Chloé didn't eat them soon, Mina's things would start to smell.
Making her way over, she peered into cage and frowned. Chloé was still buried in her little hole. Reaching her hand in, she picked up the knarl. "Hey Chloé, I'm sorry about yesterday. But you were bad, but today is a new day. Do you want your treat today?"
Hearing this, Chloé slowly uncurled herself and sniffled at Mina's palm as she looked up at her, blinking. "I will take that as a yes, but you will have to stay in my lap." Mina explained as she sat down on the bench and pulled out blanket. Pulling it over her lap, she lowered her hand and allowed Chloé to crawl out of her hand onto it.
Chloé sniffed up at the air and looked up at Mina with what looked like a pout. Did knarl know how to pout? Either way, Mina shook her head and reached for her bag. Pulling out a container, she opened it and pulled out a slimy shell and dropped it in front of Chloé.
Chloé sniffed at the shell, before sqealing and digging into it. Okay, she liked them. Pulling out another one, she dropped it before Chloé and pulled her journal out. "Sweetie, you finish that one and this one, then maybe you'll get more," Mina nodded as she watched the knarl with her treat.

Entry Five:
Chloé's a bit more well behaved today. No running away. Adding snails to her diet. She appears to like them.
Did some reading after yesterday's events. The growling crup had apparently scared her, which lead to her running and hide. It's a self-defense mechanism for theirs, very similar to that of a hedgehog. In situations of dangers, they will curl up.

She was ready this time. YES! SHE WAS!
Sneaking quietly into the nursery, Evelyn bent lower to the ground and snuck her way over to Orion's cage. Hehe. This was going to be so good!
Ignoring any calls from jarvey's as she walked by their cages, Evelyn stood right underneath Orion's for a moment, just waiting for the right moment. Hehehehehehehehehehehehe....
"ORION!" she yelled, jumping up and slapping her hands on the cage.

Meep. He wasn't moving! Raising a brow, she shook his cage slightly, and when he still didn't move, the young Slytherin was beginning to get worried. "Orion?" She didn't scare him THAT badly did she? Oh...oh Merlin...
Lawson-Morgan was going to kill her! Not only did she accidentally let Orion loose the other day, but now...she scared him to death! Quickly opening his cage, Evelyn moved her hand inside to pick him up.
However, when she did, the not-so-little-anymore niffler stretched it's arms and legs...and everything else, before going limp once more. He was sleeping.
BAHAHA!
Oh, thank Merlin. Just sleeping. Phew! Right. Well, that was enough emotional trauma for one day. Right. Closing his cage back up, she pulled out the few not-cut-up cranberries and placed then inside, just on the edge of his cage. Jeez. "Crazy niffler..." she mumbled before starring at him for a moment and then leaving the place.

And he was back again! Legend shrugged off his jacket and made his way over to his Phoenix's cage. Oddly enough, coming in here to look after the little guy was calming. It was like a really peaceful time. It didn't even seem like homework!
Peaking into Charmander's cage Legend blinked. Wow. The bird looked....different. He was still small (actually he was a bit bigger) but small white things were poking out of his skin. Did it hurt? Was it like worms or something? It took Legend a second to realize that it was feathers and they were growing in.
There was no doubt at all that the bird's beak was becoming more yellow yesterday, but today it was more like black? How weird. "Hey wake up!" Legend muttered reaching into the cage and poking the bird that was perched up and sleeping. The bird lazily opened one eye then went back to bed.
Man. He was just like an owl.
"I guess nothing interesting today." The Gryffindor muttered with a nod. Grabbing the notebook he began to write.

Day Three-
Today was extremely boring. All Charmander did was sleep. I swear that bird has all the time in the world to sleep when I'm not here! Anyways, his feathers are starting to grow in.
They look really weird because I thought that they would be red but they seem to be white. I wonder if that's normal? Maybe they just change color, I guess I'll have to see. Anyways, he's also a bit bigger than the first day. Not alot but just enough for me to notice.
And his beak and definitely yellow yesterday but now it's more black.
So yeah after I noticed all this I tried to wake him up to do stuff with him but he didn't want to wake up. Stubborn this one is really.
Legend signed again and closed the book. He didn't know what else to write! Petting the bird goodbye he closed the cage and left the Nursery.

Destiny was EXCITED to visit her Jarvey today. She had, in her pocket, something that she just KNEW Captain would love.
Running into the nursery, quietly of course, she stopped in front of her Jarvey's cage. Remembering what had happened on her last visit, she ran a finger up and down the cage to wake him up. It worked, and now that little guy was staring at her. "Captain! Are you excited!?" she asked, as she opened the door of the cage. The little Jarvey was being stubborn and he didn't run out like a few times before.
"Fine, don't come out, but you won't get your surprise." It seemed like the Jarvey knew what a surprise was, and he stretched and made his way over to her. Putting on a smile, Destiny picked him up under his belly and carefully placed him on her shoulder. They were going outside again!
He didn't want to be woken up. Nope, nope, nope. As he heard that annoying noise, Captain opened his eyes only to find that thing standing there. He thought, after their last visit, that the thing would stop bothering him. He was wrong. As the thing said things, he cocked his head to the side. Not knowing what it said, he stretched and walked over, just to get this over with.
Destiny was surprised nothing rude came out of the Jarvey's mouth yet. She figured he was just as excited as she was, 'tis the reason for his quietness. Making her way outside, she plopped down on the ground, placing Captain down beside her. "Okay, Captain! Get ready for THIS!" She reached in her pocket and pulled out the surprise.
Captain's eyes widened as much as they could. He watched intently as the thing dug somewhere and pulled out the CRAZIEST thing his little Jarvey eyes had seen. Before the thing could get that CRAZY thing anywhere near him, the Jarvey took off running, "Freak! Four eyes! CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY!" He was not pleased.
Aww! It seemed Captain was excited about his surprise by the looks of his widened eyes. Destiny understood, for she was just as excited. Straightening out the surprise, she laid it on the ground and turned back to Captain. WHERE DID HE GO!? Hearing his remarks, she stood and chased after him. It was a rough chase, but finally she caught up with him and cradled him to her chest. She should have asked for help with this mission. Walking back to the surprise that was still laying there, Destiny once again plopped down, ignoring all the names she was being called. It seemed the Huffies were teaching him more thing.
Placing the Jarvey down on the ground, she held him still with one hand and grabbed the surprise. Putting this on him was harder and more painful than giving him a bath and she now had scratches up and down her arms..well, at least he didn't bite yet. A few grunts from Destiny and a few swear words from Captain later, the surprise was on him and he look so CUTE! Pulling out a mirror, she held in it front of his face, so he could have a good look at him.
Run, run, run, run! Captain was sure the thing wouldn't be able to catch him. He did, afterall have four legs, that thing only had two. He was wrong however, and next thing he knew, he was picked up and they were heading towards that CRAZY thing! When the thing placed him down, he tried to make a run for it, but failed. "Freak, crazy, CRETIN!" Next thing he knew, he was looking at something in something and it looked crazy. "Ugly! Ugly! Ugly!" he yelled, not knowing he was..talking to himself.
Destiny decided to leave his ladybug costume on him, for it was too much of a hassle to get on, imagine getting it off! Picking him up, she walked back inside the nursery and gently put him in his cage, closing the door once he was in. Giving the Jarvey a one fingered wave, she pulled out her journal to take notes.

Entry Five: Today I had brought Captain Walker D. Plank a present. At first I thought he was just as excited about it as I was, but I soon learned I was mistaken. As soon as I showed him the ladybug costume, the Jarvey took off running and I HAD to chase behind him. I caught up with him, and I fought with him to get the thing on. It was a LIFE and DEATH battle, but I finally succeeded.
He still says rude things, and I still think the Huffies are behind this.
Placing the journal under her arm, Destiny walked out of the nursery. Pffft, she needed bandages!

Gold had a big bag tucked under her left arm, because she had been in too much of a hurry to sling it over one - or both - shoulder[s], and her voice was expectant, the kind that said she wanted him to be quick.
Of course, Dexter didn't respond.
Gold shook her head, as she stepped up to where she could usually spot him. The clabbert had grown, no longer the babeh creature he had once been, and he was feistier than she could ever had expected him to turn out, his clabbert!hands ready to open her bag and take a peek inside. Yes, he had grown troublesome, in some ways.
But in others, he had grown easier to handle, his sleep and food pattern far more well-defined than they had been when he had been much much smaller; his habits more controlled. Easier to guess, ascertain and - if things came to that, the way they sometimes, if not often, did - tend to.
Of course, the clabbert wasn't a complete adult yet. There was still some of the play left in him. A lot of it, in fact, if you ask Gold -- and, as she spotted him now, she beckoned him towards herself, allowing him to cling round her neck as she prepared his feed, a trough of bugs and various other foods that he could gobble up, with those sharp teeth of his, without a second thought. Which was something she had to carefully see to.
That he didn't eat too much.
Because Dexter could eat like anything, and then end up sick. Though, with her help, he was starting to learn to control that bad habit of his.
"Got you a present," Gold said, sure as always that he could understand her, as she sat down, and watched him help himself to the meal. "Sure you'll like this." She produced a BIG rubber duck, yellow with a vibrantly orange beak. It wasn't a giant rubber duck, but it was big enough that it wouldn't fit in both of her cupped palms. Even without the beak!
Dexter's gaze strayed from his food and then, before Gold knew it, he had bounded towards the toy.
Gold had to laugh.
Dexter had been awaiting her. Red. He knew the times she came, because he had grown used to them -- and of course, he liked Red. She had nice hair, the same colour as the pustule on top of his head, and she laughed a lot, seemed to enjoy being around him.
Well, he enjoyed being around her, too.
OH, and she had brought food! Dexter could get his own now, if he wanted to, but he liked that she still brought it for him, as often as she could. In fact, pretty much at every meal-time. He jumped down, swinging between two branches, and landed by her. She had called him twice or thrice, but he hadn't answered at once, so she had come a-lookin'.
He jumped out to surprise her!
Unfortunately, the jump didn't disorient her. Dexter clabbert!shrugged, and decided he might as well help himself to the food. Which was when she sprung it on him. THE GIFT. It was a duckie. Rubber duckie. She had brought him at least two of those before, but they had been smallish ones. This one was bigger, and it looked squishier and more fun.

Carter laughed. "No, I'm perfectly fine. A little slobbery, but fine." he said. He then pulled a Frisbee out of his bag. "I wrote my parents for one of these." he said.
He then turned to his crup. "Go long Kali!" he said before tossing the disc. Kali took off after it. She jumped up and caught it in her mouth. She then trotted back and set the disc in front of him.
"Alright Frankie. Your turn." he said to Marie's cup. He picked up the disc and threw it again.

"I warned you not to put that in your mouth." Eyes flickering to her young clabbert, she grinned as she watched him spit out the flower before turning her attention back to her journal. The pair was sitting high int the tree tops for the first time, Arya watching Rafiki bravely exlpore every tre limb. They had been sitting up in the highest tree all morning after he had been fed, and his cage had been cleaned. Writing down a few more notes, she stuck the book into her messenger bag and shifted her weight on the branch she was nestled on.
Clinging to a tree branch with both ong arms, he gave his head a frantic shake as he atempted to remove all traces of the disgusting flower from his mouth. No he wasn't hungry, just curious and the flower seemed like something that he would eat. Maybe he should have listened to the caution in his keeper's voice. Once the last of the flower had been spit out, he jumped from the tree limb to another.
Arya was taking note of how Rafiki seemed fearless dispite the fact that they were at the tree tops for the first time, when a strong wind blew through the tree. Holding on to a branch, she waited for the wind to pass before standing on the branch. "Time to go, Rafiki. We've been up here long enough." Reaching out she plucked the clabbert from the tree and placed him back on her neck. Then Arya slowly began to make the long journey back down the tree.
Rafiki was saaaad. He wanted to stay in the tree tops to swing and put more strange things in his mouth and PLAY. But she was making them leave. If clabberts could pout he would be doing it now. Clinging to her neck, he played with her pig tails as the swung.
With a small leap, they were out of the tree. Arya glanced back up at the branches before making her way back to the nursery. "I know your sad," Having spent eveyday with the creature, she had long ago picked up on his moods. If it was one thing she learned about him, it was that he hated his play time being interupted and always knew when she was leaving. "But I'll be back after I eat dinner with Ivy. I promise." Stroking his head, she continued to make her way back into the nursery, putting him away before heading off towards the castle.

This time, he came sooner than later, and Treyen was sort of proud of that. Proud of the fact he did NOT forget about Phineas.
The boy's smile got wider when he noticed Phineas already out of his cage. Brilliant! Oh, WAIT. Why was he out of his cage? Who let him out?! Perhaps no one. Perhaps, just perhaps, Phineas had become a master at unlocking cages, and psychic too! That's why he knew he was coming!
Oh! He had the most fantastic niffler ever!
He'd grown too, which is something Treyen enjoyed seeing. Not more than the sight before his eyes, because Phineas was staring quite intently to that sickle he'd left the past visit. Haha. Perfect! The sickle had been a great decision, then.
But, the Huffie had no idea he had some shiny metal things in his bag, which is why he misinterpreted Phineas attempt to search for the metal things with the niffler being happy to see him. "Phineas! Stop it! There's nothing in my bag!" or was there something? It served the niffler as exercise, so he let the creature conquer the bag...only to find...
...oh my Gilderoy! What are those keys doing in there again?! He eyed the nursery, perhaps someone was pulling a trick here. But, nope, no one. Unless the had an invisibility cloak, like Harry Potter.
"Fine! I don't know whose keys those are, so I assume you can keep them" Phineas was too busy to even pretend he'd heard Treyen, so...Treyen started to write in the journal again.

Niffler: Phineas Lockhart Age: Newborn + 2 weeks + 2 days Weight: Over twelve galleons Size: Three and a half palms (Treyen's size) [but seems larger than the past visit for some reason...perhaps it's the snout?]
Clearly, I made a good decision by leaving the sickle behind, Phineas seemed more more alert, and ready to start his treasure hunt at any moment! Which is what he did, sort of, with a pair of keys that miraculously appeared in my bag. They seemed to be the ones from last visit...but, the most important thing, is that Phineas is on his way to become a full-size Niffler!
Whatever their size is.
I measured up, and he's still the same size as before, but he looks larger, I thought he'd grown way more until I measured him. I think that because his hunting skills were somehow activated, then the snout grew up more? Making him look larger?
It's probable, but there's no fact yet.
Once the niffler's focus was mainly on the keys, he took the sickle away. He'd leave the keys for Phineas, but he ought to eat first, right? That's why the keys became invisible. Phineas ate the whole bowl of...niffler's food? And drank a whole pitch of water before the keys were made visible again (by who knows who) and the focus was on the keys again.
Sigh. "Time to get to the cage again, Phineas" he didn't like the look on the niffler's face, "Yes, with the keys, I won't take them" he said, while levitating both the niffler and the keys into the cage.

Marie laughed when Carter said he was all slobbery. "Well I guess it's official, they like you." This made her really happy since she knew crups didn't like muggles... and well with Carter being muggle born she was worried he wouldnl't do so well raising a crup. Looks like she had nothing to worry about though.
"Cool, they should like that," she said about the frisbee Carter brought. Throwing the rope toy in Frankie's kennel she stood out of the way when Carter threw the toy for Kali to catch... and to her surprise Kali caught it and brought it right back. Frankie too ran after and caught the frisbee when Carter threw it for him. However he wasn't as cooperative as Kali was. Sure, he brought it back but he didn't want to let go of it. He seemed to think he was going to play tug of war with it. "Frankie let go, this is not your rope, it is not to tug on you silly crup."
Holding the frisbee with her left hand she put her right hand under Frankie's jaw and gently squeezed on both sides until he opened his mouth releasing the frisbee. "Okay you two, let's see who can get the frisbee first," she said as she tossed the frisbee down the nursery.
Hopefully Professor Mrs. Lawson doesn't get mad at them for playing frisbee inside if she comes along. It's not like they could go outside with it raining though.
Hmm, who will catch the frisbee and bring it back first?

When Carter showed up Frankie attacked him and started licking his face. At first I thought he was trying to bite Carter, but then I heard the laughter so I knew he was okay.
Carter brought a frisbee for us to throw for Frankie and Kali to catch. Frankie really had fun with it (I think Kali did too).
As he entered the Nursery, the boy felt a pang of guilt; he hadn't come to see Joey in a long time. Beelining straight for the niffler's cage, Jake reached into his pocket and pulled out a little bundle of food wrapped in kitchen foil.
He owed Joey a treat.
"Hhhhey boy," he cooed as he opened up the niffler's cage only for it to, like, POUNCE at him. Yeah... he'd forgotten about his tongue bar. Jake gigled as Joey attempted to get to his tongue and pulled out a vial of glitter from his pocket. It was magically stoppered so that it wouldn't open again; the thing was practically welded shut.
"Whassis Joey?" Jake said in his only-for-animals omg-look-it's-something-exciting-I-want-you-should-have-it-too voice. At once the niffler did his cute little grabby hands and took the vial, giving Jake time to place the bundle of food in Joey's cage. There was a couple of chicken legs in there along with some ham (both things he couldn't eat) and, because he supposed he had to, some actual niffler food he'd ordered.
But alas, the niffler needed to eat, not play, and Jake pushed him into the cage with the vial of glitter and watched as he pounced on the foil covered food.
With another small sigh, Jake turned away and left before heading back up to the castle.

Carter watched as both crups were chasing the frisbee. Then, instead of chasing the frisbee they turned on each other. He laughed as he watched the two crups wrestle. "I think they found something more exciting than us." he said sitting down.
"Should we just let them tire out?" he asked.
While waiting for her answer he got out his notebook and updated it.

Visit One:
As soon as I approached Kali's cage she realized I was a muggleborn and began barking. I talked to her and gave her a treat. I hope that this calms her down a bit. She seems to really enjoy it.
After finishing her steak and drinking some water, Kali seemed in a much better mood. She came up to the front of the cage and didn't bark at me. We then started to play fetch with a little ball that I brought.
We played catch a few more times and then she decided she just wanted to chew on the ball. I think I must have exhausted her because she soon fell asleep on the little ball.
Visit Two:
Kali got some presents from Marie today. She chewed on her chew bone, which she really seemed to enjoy. Marie also left a collar and leash for little Kali so we went on a nice jog together.
After we returned to her cage I gave her food and water. I think she's comfortable around me even though I'm muggle-born. She even licked my hand!
It was a nice fun visit.
Visit Three:
I entered the nursery and was very enthusiastically greeted by Kali and Frankie. Marie and I played a little frisbee with them. Then they wrestled.

Mina poked her head into the nursery and looked around. Yes, it was quiet! The term was ending soon and she did want to get as much time with Chloé before they would have to be separated. Maybe her cousin would allow her to get a pet over the summer.
Thinking about the possibility, she skipped over to Chloé's cage and peered in. "Hey sweetie," she smiled as she opened it and reached in. Giving her little sweetie-kins a pet, she pulled her hand back. This trip would have to be short, but she would come back again later.
Chloé sniffed her again and squealed. Was it play time again? Oh the knarl wanted to play today.
Moving her hand back, she reached for a treat and dropped a few snails into the cage along with a few pieces of melons. "You know I would love to play, but I have to meet up with someone. I promise to be back later," she explained as she set before the cage and pulled her journal out of her bag.

Entry Six:
Balancing out treats with snails and melon. It's pretty safe to say that Chloé isn't suspicious of me any more. I haven't tried to give her milk yet, but I think if I did, she would take it from me. I mean no harm and she seems to understand that.
She's growing rather quickly as well. Today, she seems to want to play more, but with her running away last time, I'm a bit luring to let her out of her cage again so soon. Maybe next time.
Treyen had decided that he'd be mostly watching Phineas instead of trying to interact a bit more with it...the interaction part will be tomorrow.
As soon as he arrived he noticed the cage opened again. Sigh. He was certain that wasn't normal at all, perhaps he should discuss it with Professor Lawson if he found the cage in the same state. BUT the niffler was not outside, he was just sitting inside the cage...eyes focusing on the pair of keys...
...those keys...that was a bigger mystery than the opened cage, because Treyen had been the one bringing the keys in here, and he had no idea where he got them. However, that was not important, he was here today as an observer.

Today, observation is the key to Phineas' next activities. As I watched the interactions between him, and the shiny things, and the environment, and the lack of focus when shiny things are around, and me, it's surprising to see how the responses varies according to the activity he's involved in.
For instance, while he's pursuing his hunting instinct, Phineas becomes rather aggressive, and feels annoyed (I think) when I come between the shiny stuff and himself. However, when he's not pursuing anything, he's the most adorable, and quite sedentary creature there could ever be.
Focus and determination play a great deal in this equation too.
Nifflers are not to be trifled with when they hunt down metals, but they're more than approachable when resting.
After serving some food inside the niffler's cage, and letting him rest there with the keys, Treyen left, for Quidditch was next in his agenda.

Trixie went into the nursery to check up on little Topaz. Who quite frankly wasn't so little anymore. The bird like creature had grown a substantial size since she last saw him. The beak was a darker colour, almost black and is feathers were starting to gain the bright fiery colours that every Phoenix had. And for some strange reason, this made Trixie incredibly proud. Well it was her little bird. She felt like a proud mother.
As she approached the creature, it was sat perched high on a stand and it gave the Blonde a heartwarming look. Like it was gaining trust around her. Trixie handed over the food to the bird and then touched it's elegant feathers, avoiding touching the burnig tail. It would be so sad on Topaz's burning date. Interactig with a bird was hard. They wouldn't exactly play with you, all they did all day, every day was perch up high and fly around. Although Trixie had yet to see the creature sow off it's wingspan. Soon hopefully though.
That was bad, but everything seemed to be in order, and Phineas seemed to be...SLEEPING?!
Well, where were the keys?
Treyen frowned at the notion of no keys whatsoever, clearly, there must some Slytherin person messing up with poor Phineas. Except, well, he was also messing up with Phineas, because he was the one who'd thought on playing with Phineas in order to get his active status, well, activated!
But, he didn't want to bother the poor niffler, so, he filled up the water bowl, and placed some crackers inside the cage, so he'll have something to eat when he woke up.

The determination of interaction is placed on hold, because Phineas is asleep at the moment, and rest is very important to a baby creature. As important as eating and exercising, so I tried not to wake him up.
There's something that seems to bother me, someone is probably messing around with those silly keys, which means...messing around with Phineas, and that I don't like. Perhaps if I teach him to speak, then he'll tell me.
Other than that, he seems to be doing okay, and the resting seems to be doing him very good. Phineas looks adorable in his sleep. He also looks healthy, but that's a general appreciation.
And...Treyen sort of left, but he'll try to get here in 2 days to find out about those keys.
Super Slytherin Buddy || ⅓ She-Snake Trio || 'I taste like chocolate and potatoes'
Destiny raaaaaan to the nursery once again. She just HAD to check on her Jarvey and make she he didn't weasel (geddit?) his way out of his ladybug outfit. She felt kinda bad for leaving it on him all day an night, but there was no way she was going to try and take it off of him.
Not by hand anyway.
Now standing in front of Captain's cage, she placed her bag on the ground and peeked inside the cage. Sweet Merlin! Not only did the Jarvey escape from his outfit, he had tore it to shreds! "Captaaaaain." she whined, as she opened the door to his cage. The Jarvey KNEW what he did, and Destiny could SWEAR she saw a smirk upon his face.
Mwaha!
Being a Jarvey meant he really couldn't laugh evilly but boy did he want to. The look on that things face as it saw that CRAZY thing it made him wear was PRICELESS! As the cage door was open, Captain walked over to the pile of shredded ladybug costume and laid on it. The thing wasn't getting it from him!
Spotting the Jarvey plop himself down on the now RUINED costume, Destiny scoffed. He was a baaaaad little guy, that's for sure. It seemed like Captain didn't want her to remove the shreds, but she was going to anyway. Stretching her hand inside, she gently picked him up despite the scratching and name calling. While the Jarvey occupied himself with calling her his usual 'Freak' and 'Four eyes', she quickly scooped up the shreds and placed the Jarvey back in his cage. "That's the last time I get you something nice."
Closing the door of the cage, she pulled out her journal and quill.

Entry Six: Today I went to check to see how Captain and his ladybug costume were holding up. The Jarvey was fine, it was just his costume that was not. Somehow and I am thinking those Huffies had something to do with it Captain got out of his costume and RIPPED it to shreds! As I spotted the mess he had made of he, he went and sat on it, like I couldn't just pick him up and clean it up..

Mina hurried back down to the nursery. She had some worms for Chloé and she wasn't about to actually keep them for next time. It was already bad enough she was hoping them in her hand. What had possessed her to hold them and not put them in a container was really beyond her.
Pushing the door open with her arm, she ran over to the cage and peered in. Chloé was sleeping, but she wasn't about to leave and come back. No, she would just leave the worms and check back with the knarl again.
Lifting the top, she dropped the worms in the cage and pulled her hand back. Ewww, her fingers were all slimy and dirty! Running over to clean her hand, she glanced back at the cage and noticed movement. Oh, Chloé was just playing possum with her!
Sniffing at the new treat, Chloé let out a tiny squeal and jumped on the worms before they could get away from her.

Upon entering the nursery, Chloé appeared to be sleeping. But she was just playing possum with me. Tricky little knarls. Maybe this is one of her self-defence techniques?

She then filled his water and food bowls. Frankie started drinking the water right away. Looks like all that playing made him thirsty.
"You want to go to the Great Hall and get some lunch with me?" She asked Carter as she was putting Frankie's toys away and grabbed her bag. Looking back over at Frankie she seen that he was already sound asleep.

Visit 1:
Today was my first time to see Frankie without the Professor there. He was sleeping when I first arrived at the nursery. After waking him he started to lick my hand, then he bit me. Luckily Carter brought a steak for me to give to Frankie (he's so thoughtful) which he totally loved.
I tried teaching him to sit, which he did for about 10 seconds. We will keep working on that.
Need to get a leash and a collar so Frankie can get out of cage and run around a little more. Duplicated ball Carter brought Kali so Frankie would have one to play with too. Need to get some toys for him.
Visit 2:
Today Frankie was running around his kemmel when I arrived. I put his new collar on him then took him out for a walk using the new leash I had brought too. He loved running around outside. We had fun wrestling and running around.
Once I got him back in his kennel I gave him some water anf the chew bone I brought for him. I also gave Kali some water.
I then wrote a note for Carter telling him I gave Kali a bone and that I left a collar and leash for her too. He was happily chewing on his bone when I left.
Frankie and Kali were both chewing on their bones when I left.
Visit 3:
Today I did not get to take Frankie outside to play since it started to rain shortly after I got to the nursery. Luckily I had brought him a new toy so we were still able to play. He seems to like playing tug of war with me.
I let Kali out to play too while we were waiting for Carter to show up. It was funny to watch both crups trying to get the rope from each other. I'm glad I got that toy for Frankie. Might have to get one for Kali now too.
When Carter showed up Frankie attacked him and started licking his face. At first I thought he was trying to bite Carter, but then I heard the laughter so I knew he was okay.
Carter brought a frisbee for us to throw for Frankie and Kali to catch. Frankie really had fun with it (I think Kali did too).
Frankie and Kali played and wrestled for a little bit. When they seemed to be getting tired I put Frankie back in his kennel and made sure his food and water bowls were filled before leaving.
This was a fun visit even though we had to stay inside.

Carter busied himself with placing Kali's fun toys back into her kennel while she and Frankie played. He then refilled her food and water bowls.
He went over and picked up Kali as Marie got Frankie. "Did you have fun Kali?" he asked as he returned her to her cage. She wasn't able to answer. The little crup had fallen asleep by the time he reached the cage.
"Sleep well Kali. I'll see you tomorrow." he said.
He then turned to Marie. "Yeah. Lunch sounds great." he said leaving with Marie.

As soon as I approached Kali's cage she realized I was a muggleborn and began barking. I talked to her and gave her a treat. I hope that this calms her down a bit. She seems to really enjoy it.
After finishing her steak and drinking some water, Kali seemed in a much better mood. She came up to the front of the cage and didn't bark at me. We then started to play fetch with a little ball that I brought.
We played catch a few more times and then she decided she just wanted to chew on the ball. I think I must have exhausted her because she soon fell asleep on the little ball.
Visit Two:
Kali got some presents from Marie today. She chewed on her chew bone, which she really seemed to enjoy. Marie also left a collar and leash for little Kali so we went on a nice jog together.
After we returned to her cage I gave her food and water. I think she's comfortable around me even though I'm muggle-born. She even licked my hand!
It was a nice fun visit.
Visit Three:
I entered the nursery and was very enthusiastically greeted by Kali and Frankie. Marie and I played a little frisbee with them. Then they wrestled. We let them play until they tired out. Then we returned them (and their toys) back to their cages.

Today Marie didn't have much time to spend with Frankie but she still wanted to see him. As she approached his cage she seen he was sleeping and he had his rope toy and chew bone (what was left of it) laying right there beside his head.
Aww, he looks so cute laying there sleeping with his toys.
Not wanting to wake him up she sat down and just watched him sleep for a few minutes. He looked so peaceful and happy.
Looking over at Kali's cage she seen she was chewing on her bone. "Hey Kali, looks like you are really enjoying that bone. I just might have to get you another one soon." Not wanting to get her hand bit off she decided not to pet her today.
Knowing it was time to get to class she filled the food and water bowls for both Frankie and Kali. She then took out her journal, wrote in it real quick, put it away and stood to leave.
"Bye Kali, bye Frankie, I'll stop back later tonight when classes are over." She then ran off to get to class before she was late.

Carter headed to the Nursery. Now that quidditch was over and was all caught up with homework he had much more time to spend with Kali. Walking over to her cage he noticed that her bowls were full. Marie must have been by.
He took Kali out and the ball he had gotten her on the first visit. He set her on the ground and rolled the ball over to her. Kali ran after it and ran into it several times.
Carter watched as Kali played with the ball. Soon the ball made it back to him. He rolled it back to the crup. The crup continued to play with the ball.
After a few more times of this he heard a bell go off. He checked his watch. Had he really spent that much time there? He had been having such a good time that he hadn't even realized how long he'd been there.
He picked up Kali (who licked him) and the ball and put them back in her kennel. "I have to go Kali. I had fun though. I'll see you tomorrow." he said.
He quickly scribbled in his journal as he headed back up to the castle hoping that he wasn't late for class.

Mina yawned slightly as she made her way toward the nursery. It was still a bit early, but she wanted to see Chloé before she started her day. There was a lot of things she needed to accomplish before mid day and she after reading up on the muggle cousin to the knarl, she kind of wanted to see if Chloé was a nocturnal as a hedghehogs or not.
Poking her head into the nursery, she could hear the knarl moving about in her cage. Maybe Mina should have made more of an effort to visit the knarl early and played with her more. Yes, she would have to try to visit Chloé more before breakfast.
Yawning again, she walked up to the cage and peered inside. Sensing her presence, Chloé squealed and looked up at her. "Morning sweetie," Mina smiled as she opened the cage top and reached in. "I can't play too much today, but I wanted to see you before I headed to lessons. Yes, I know it's earlier but I brought you a tiny snack from breakfast," she added as she sat down and retrieved something from her pocket with her free hand.
Pulling out a tiny piece of melon, Mina held it before Chloé. The knarl squealed and nudged the fruit with its nose before attacking it with her mouth.

Entry Eight:
Visited Chloé extra early today. Didn't completely expect her to be up, but turns out just like hedgehogs, knarls are a bit noctoural. She has way too much energy, but she's too cute when she eats.
Will have to come back and visit her more with snacks. Her diets is a bit more balanced now. Fruit and protein mainly.

Finally classses were over and Marie was able to go play with Frankie. Now she would be able to get him out and let him run around outside. The weather was nice and she didn't have to worry about rushing anywhere.
Running into the nursery she was happy to see that Frankie was awake this time. "Hey boy, wanna go out and play?" As Frankie jumped up and down and barked Marie got his leash and put it on him. She then grabbed his toys and started to head outside.
Just as she was about to the door she heard the whining of another crup. Turning around she seen it was Kali who was watching her and Frankie leave. Feeling really bad for not even saying hi to her, Marie went back over to her cage. "Hey Kali, sorry girl," she said as she started to pet her. "You want to go out and play too?" Haha, what a silly question. Of course she wanted to go out. Kali started to bark and jump around just like Frankie had been doing.
Still holding onto Frankie's leash she grabbed Kali's and put it on her. She then let her out of her cage. "Come on you two, let's go play." Before heading out she grabbed the frisbee and ball out of Kali's cage. Now they would have enough toys to play with.
Once outside both crups took off running pulling Marie behind them. "Slow down you two, this isn't a race." Geesh, they were acting like they had never been outside.
Crazy crups.
After running a couple of laps Marie finally got them to stop running. Taking off their leashes she hoped they wouldn't try to run away on her. "You two stay here." She threw the leashes in the bag that had the toys and then took out the two balls that were in there. "Go get it Kali," she said as she threw the first ball. "Go get it Frankie," she said as she threw the second ball. They played with the ball for what seemed like hours before they got tired of chasing after it.
After cleaning the crup drool off the balls she put them back in the bag. She then took out Frankie's rope toy. She barely got it out of the bag and he was grabbing for it. She held tight and started playing tug of war with him. After a couple of minutes she called Kali over and let her take over.
While they were playing Marie took out her journal and wrote in it. She then got out a piece of parchment to write Carter a note letting him know she had Kali out today.
Once she was finished with all her writing she called the crups back. "Franke, Kali, time to go in. Come on guys, let's go." She didn't even get their leashes back on them and they were running towards the nursery door. Either they were tired or maybe they were extremely thirsty.
Having locked them each in their cages Marie first filled both water bowls which were immediatly attacked by a couple of VERY thirsty crups. She then filled their food bowls before sitting down to finish her journal entry for the day. Once that was done she put the toys back in the correct cages, refilled the water bowls, gave the crups a scratch behind the ears, "See you two tomorrow."
She then grabbed her bag and left. She was tired herself bur still had to go do homework.

I took Kali outside to play with Frankie today (Friday). I ran with her and threw her a ball. She played tug of war and wrestled with Frankie. I filled her water and food bowls before leaving and made sure she was safely back in her cage. Maybe we will see each other here tomorrow. I think I might give Frankie a bath then.

Tonight Frankie was awake when I got here. The weather was nice so I was able to take him outside to play. Hearing Kali whimper as we were going out I decided to take her with us.
We played catch (well I threw, they caught), ran around (a lot), and played tug of war. I then let them run free while I wrote in my journal and wrote a note to Carter.
Once back inside I fed and watered them before leaving.
I think tomorrow I will give Frankie a bath.

I took Kali outside to play with Frankie today (Friday). I ran with her and threw her a ball. She played tug of war and wrestled with Frankie. I filled her water and food bowls before leaving and made sure she was safely back in her cage. Maybe we will see each other here tomorrow. I think I might give Frankie a bath then.
Marie
Carter headed to the nursery with an armful of treats for the baby crups. When he entered he saw Kali fast asleep in her kennel. He took a peek over at Frankie. He too was fast asleep. That was weird. This was the time he normally came around and they were always wide awake.
Looking around he spotted a note. He opened it and read it. It was from Marie. She took them out to play with them. Smiling he placed half the treats in Kali's cage and half in Frankie's. He gave both crups water and then petted them.
He then updated his journal and headed out.

Visit One:
As soon as I approached Kali's cage she realized I was a muggleborn and began barking. I talked to her and gave her a treat. I hope that this calms her down a bit. She seems to really enjoy it.
After finishing her steak and drinking some water, Kali seemed in a much better mood. She came up to the front of the cage and didn't bark at me. We then started to play fetch with a little ball that I brought.
We played catch a few more times and then she decided she just wanted to chew on the ball. I think I must have exhausted her because she soon fell asleep on the little ball.
Visit Two:
Kali got some presents from Marie today. She chewed on her chew bone, which she really seemed to enjoy. Marie also left a collar and leash for little Kali so we went on a nice jog together.
After we returned to her cage I gave her food and water. I think she's comfortable around me even though I'm muggle-born. She even licked my hand!
It was a nice fun visit.
Visit Three:
I entered the nursery and was very enthusiastically greeted by Kali and Frankie. Marie and I played a little frisbee with them. Then they wrestled. We let them play until they tired out. Then we returned them (and their toys) back to their cages.
Visit Four:
I headed to the nursery after lunch to spend my free period with Kali. We played with the ball I got her on the first visit. I lost track of time watching her play.
Visit Five:
I brought treats for Kali and Frankie today. When I arrived I found both crups fast asleep. They must have had a good time with Marie. I left the treats in their cages and then filled up their water. (They already had food). Tomorrow is going to be bath time for them. Hopefully that goes well.
