Maddie smiled and petted Smokey again. Leaving the bowl of milk on the floor, she put the tiny little Imp back in her cage and scattered some comfy looking shaving thingies and a balnket she'd brought on the floor.
'Bye, Smokey' she said, softly stroking the Imp's head 'Maybe I'll bring you a pillow next time, huh? Make this more comfy for you...' she smiled and placed the Imp onto the blanket, and turned to walk out, giving Smokey a little wave.


Heh. Now she was being carried?! Smokey could get used to this... she gave a small half smile as she was placed on something warm and soft. Mmmm. Warm. And then Maddie started making noises. If Smokey listened really carefully, she could make out words. Imps didn't have great hearing. Or a great knowledge of words, really. Something about a pillow? Hmm, a pillow would be nice.

Kate returned to the Nursery early in the morning.

I hope Rusty is awake. I was told that baby creatures are more willing to learn and interact in the morning...

She reached Rus´cage and found him asleep...

"oh...what a pity! I´ll come back later" She whispered "Sleep well sweety...".

And with that, she sneeked out of the room.

Alex sighed getting up, Adorabelle had finished eating and was getting ready to sleep. Alex picked the Knarl up gently making sure not to get poked by the prickly parts and placed her back in the cage so she could sleep. She put the bowl back after cleaning it. She took a lingering glance at the prickly creature she named Adorabelle smiling whispering a, "I'll see you tomorrow." before she was secure in her cage and leaving.

Keeley grinned. Passion had finally, after many fruitless attempts, licked up all the milk that had been given to her! Yay! She cuddled the prickly knarl and bonded with him a bit more, then decided it was time to leave for the day. Besides, her new pet was falling asleep. She gently put him in his cage, and skipped out of the magical creatures nursery.

Iris walked into the Nursery after finding out that she'd been assigned to a baby Kneazle. She looked around at the people who were already there and was careful not to disturb anyone.

She could see the area where the Kneazles were, and she could see the one that had her name labeled to the cage. Walking over and crouching down to the cage, Iris peered in, and opened the cage. She put her hand in the cage and chuh-chuuud'd for the kneazle kitten to come out of the back of the cage.

The kneazle was a ginger, but it's fur was speckled with grays, as if it had been used as a chimney sweep brush. She smiled at the cat in a friendly way, and sat down cross-legged. "Hullo there, cutie; You're adorable!" Iris looked at him properly, as the kneazle sat there and appeared to be examining Iris, too, "You look smart, too. I'm going to call you Hermes, okay?" Hopefully, the Kneazle wouldn't mind that name. Because Iris already liked it. Hermes and Iris were both messenger gods. They were IMPORTANT, like. heh.

Iris watched as the Kneazle just sat there, looking at her. Maybe he didn't trust her. Hmpf. "C'mere boy.... Look what I've got." Iris looked in her bag and took out her wand. She quickly muttered "Aguamenti" in his water bowl, filling it with nice fresh water. Iris hadn't bought any Kneazle food with her though. That'd be no fun. Instead, she had little pieces of different foods. Like fruit and stuff.

Opening a bag of apple pieces, Iris put some of them in the food bowl, to see if the Kneazle would eat them. Then, she took out her note book and quill and quickly scribbled down some rough notes without looking away from the animal. She'd write them up in full later on.

Hermes slowely looked away from Iris and walked over to the bowl of fresh water, his lion-like tail stuck proudly in the air. Once he'd drank, the kneazle returned to watching Iris. Iris grinned at the creature, and at how cautious the creatures were. Slowly, the kneazle strutted closer to her, probably to find out if Iris was here for good or bad reasons.



After writing in the first journal entry, Iris sat there for an hour, trying to gain some trust from the Kneazle. She produced a feather on a stick, and tried to play with Hermes with that. Hermes kind of joined in, but he found the inside of her bag more interesting.

Iris picked up hermes and sat him on her knee, and then went into her bag to see what he wanted from in there so badly. A cupcake? Maybe it wasn't the best idea to feed him that.

But he was PURRRRRRING! For the first time in the whole hour and a half! Knowing that the buttercream would REALLY upset Hermes tummy, she scraped it all off, and then broke some of the cake, and offered it to Hermes. After the effort of ruining a perfectly good cupcake, it turned out that Hermes was just curious, not actually wanting to eat it. Iris laughed as Hermes strutted off away from her as she put it in the bin.

Looking at her watch, Iris figured that she'd spent enough time here for today. She lured Hermes back into his cage with some kneazle biscuits that she'd found in the store cupboard, and gave him a little scratch behind the ears. Then she shut the latch and picked up her bag and left the nursery.

She'd have to visit even more than all of the others if she wanted all of Hermes trust, Iris knew that this kneazle was too independant and proud to just give away all of its love, even if it was just a kitten.

Ivory was prepared. She'd spent the previous night reading up on everything she could about Knarls and their close cousins the mundane hedgehogs. So much so that she was ready to meet her little knarl up close for the first time.

Peering into the nursery she was happy to see that at least for now it seemed to be pretty empty. With a sigh of relief, Ivory shuffled in, the bobble at the top of her hat bouncing along with her steps. It wasn't that it was cold. No it was that she'd read that the trick to feeding baby knarls before they acquired their suspicious natures was for them to think the person who was taking care of them was a Mama-Knarl. So that was why she was decked out in the furriest clothing she owned and could charm and of course the furry bobble hat that was the finishing touch.

Dropping her supply ladened book bag near the door, she looked around at all the quiet little cages. Somewhere here was her little Sonic. Fortunately, it didn't take long for her to find the cage with both their names engraved on a little plaque.

A tiny gasp escaped her lips as she observed the little creature peering at her through the bars and quite literally her lips began to quiver with the cuteness of it all.

"Well arn't you just the cutest little thing I ever did see..."

Opening the little door carefully, she reached in her hand and waited patiently for him to check her out. She'd read that the biggest danger to a baby knarl was catching hypothermia while they grew their underbelly fur coat. For some reason, they grew their little spikes first. Although really they could barely be called spikes since they weren't prickly at all. He wasn't a porcupine after all and he still had his baby spines.

At first, Sonic as she'd so named him simply rolled up into a ball and began rolling around defensively huffing, spitting and clicking.

Letting out a sigh, she got down on her knees in front of the cage and brought her face close to the cage and sniffed around a bit purposefully and even exhaled a few times so he could get used to her scent.

....and then came the long waiting part.

Leaving her hand at the corner of the cage she relaxed as much as she could. Although it took quite a while and her knees were beginning to hurt, eventually he was attracted by the heat her hand was giving off and he began sniffing around her fingers, nipping slightly at her fingertips as if looking for a mother's milk.

Slowly, he explored her hand until finally he crawled around a few times and settle in the palm, content and still nipping at her pinky.

Smiling and with a tiny tear threatening to escape the corner of her eye, Ivory brought her hand out and held him close to her.

"Hey little Sonic. Me and you...we're gonna be great together."

As if in response, he cuddled closer to hand and her furry jacket.

SPOILER!!: Baby Sonic

Carter entered the Nursery with two stolen steaks from the kitchens and a little red ball. He grabbed one for Kali earlier. He then went back and decided that Marie's crup Frankie would probably want one too.

It seemed like Professor Lawson forgot he was a muggleborn. Not that he minded. He liked dogs. And he'd been around tough and aggressive dogs before. All they really needed was a bit of love and training. He was willing to do both of those. Crups were pretty much the same as dogs, right?

He approached his little crup's cage. There was Kali pacing around her cage. He sat down outside the cage. Kali sniffed the air and turned around and began barking. Looks like she realized that he was a muggleborn.

"Shhhh... it's alright girl." he said soothingly to the little baby crup. "I have something for you Kali." he said reaching for the steak. He held it up and over the gate and dangled it in front of the crup. "You want some steak, girl?" he asked.

Kali looked him over before walking around in a circle and sitting down. She eyed the steak. She did want it.

"Alright. Here you go Kali." he said dropping the steak into the cage. He watched her eat for a minute before writing in his Care of Magical Creatures journal.

Hurrying into the nursery Alex stopped a fair way inside the door and looked around in slight wonder. There were so many baby animals, most of which looked completely adorable. Now where was his Clabbert?

Spying three of the baby clabberts Alex made his way over to them, inspecting them all carefully before deciding on the one that he thought was Amygdali. Gently reaching down into the cage/tank Alex picked Amygdali up and stroked down her back.

It was a strange texture but even stranger still was the fact that the Clabbert leaned into the touch. It seemed that like most baby animals she liked attention. She was even using her tiny arms to cling onto him. That was sooo CUTE.

"Hello Amygdali, I hope you like the name." Alex whispered, feeling kind of strange. "I'm Alex and I'm going to be looking after you. I hope that I do everything right, that I don't hurt you." And he was feeling even more awkward.

"I brought you treats." Alex said suddenly perking up. Giving the Clabbert food would not be awkward. It would be normal owner pet behaviour, which he was used too. Rummaging for the treats in his bag Alex pulled them out and quickly poured some into his hand.

Amygdali's tiny eyes lit up when she saw the treats and Alex couldn't help but smile at the sight. He held his hand up to her mouth and was gratified when Amygdali started to eat excitedly out of his palm. His only regret was that he couldn't spend more time with her today.

Walking her back over to the tank Alex reluctantly placed her down inside. Stroking her head one last time he whispered a goodbye before walking out of the nursery.

"Hi sweety! I'm back! And you are awake" Kate said, once she reached Rus' cage "I've brought some things to u today."

Rusty started to jump again. "Calm down Rus! Wait a second"
She opened her bag and took out the write-alone quill and the piece of parchment she was using as Journal.

Then, she opened Rusty's cage and took him outside. He purred a little in her chest and accommodated a bit in her arms. She petted him for a few minutes.

While holding him with one hand, she cleaned the cage with the other. Finally, she placed him on the floor.

"Let's play a little, what do you think?" When she said "PLAY", Rus began to spin over and over again "Hey! little electron! You're going to get dizzy"

They played. First, with a ball. It didn't work. Secondly, like cat and mouse, one chasing the other. That seemed suitable for him. Then, with a ball of wool...and that freaked him out! She tried another ways to play and this was the result:

Several hours later...

"I will draw a picture of you, but tomorrow..today, I'm tired.I know you're not, but you emptied my energies"

She placed him in the cage and tried to feed him...hi wouldn't accept a thing from her. She ordered the quill to write:

She grabbed her things.."Good night Rus, I hope u dream something nice. See u tomorrow"...and left.

Selena walked into the nursery a bit nervously. What if her kneazle hated her? Selena saw a snowy white one that looked at her oddly. Awwh. That had to be Yume!! She picked up the little puffball. Awwh. So cute. "Hello there, Yume," Selena smiled as she pet the little head. Hehe. It was so cute. "Do you like your name? Yume? It means dream," Selena said as she hugged it lightly.

She opened her bag and took out a little dish she had. Selena opened her flask of milk and poured it into the dish. Hehe. Her little kneazle was lapping at it. So cute. She smiled as the kneazle continued to drink the milk. Too adorable. "Alright, sweetie, I have to go run off to do homework," Selena pouted as she checked her watch. But first she took out a green collar with a silver tag that read 'Yume' in script. "There, perfect," Selena smiled before giving her little kneazle a kiss on the top of her head. She hoped it was a girl. Selena was a bit sad she had to leave... she sighed and walked away.

Jacob walked down to the nursery. He just couldn't wait, It's a large ferret that hunts gnomes. What wouldn't he like about the thing?

Entering the nursery, he looked around at all the little baby creatures. He walked over to a couple of creatures, but realized he should be getting to his Jarvey. Jacob looked from Crups to kneazles. Where could those Over-grown Ferrets be? 'Jacob your blind' he thought to himself

AHA! There, He found it. Take that brain!

"Hey Jared. I'm Jacob" he said to the Jarvey. It looked up at him as he got closer. It seemed to have been asleep. It yawned, got up, and put it's front paws on the cage. Teehee... Weasels. Jacob took out his journal, and quickly titled it before making any real interaction with Jared.



Jacob Looked up from the Journal to see that Jared was still watching him. Jacob put down his backpack, with food... some of which were still alive. He opened the cage and gently lifted Jared out. Once out of the cage, the Jarvey hissed and easily escaped his grip. Jared ran up Jacob's arm, and stopped on his shoulder. Digging it's hind claws into his back. "OWW!" Jacob exclaimed. "We can do with a little less blood right?" he asked through clenched teeth. But Jared was already adjusting his grip, the Jarvey dug less into his back.

"So You don't like being held, alright" Jacob said to Jared. Well it was easier for him to take notes this way. Speaking of which... Jacob bent his knees, so that his body would stay straight. And picked up his journal. So Jared already trusts him... Good



Jacob was still bent down when he picked up his back pack, getting up Jacob closed the cage. And moved out to the play area. He'll try his 'Research' here without all the cages.

Jared seemed to be watch every move jacob made. But he was doing it more from Jacob's perspective Jared was looking at everything He looked at... Odd.

Jacob sat down on the ground and waited to see if Jared was going to get off his shoulder. But Jared didn't move, alright stay there if he wants.Jacob opened his bag, and felt around. Taking out something... He was going to do this randomly. Jacob took out the first thing... An apple. Looking at it. He saw that it was half eaten. Looking in his bag pack Jacob said at the rat inside "HEY! This one was MY Snack" Jacob sighed and looked at jared... who looked back at him. "You want this?"Jacob asked putting the apple near Jared. The Jarvey Hissed. "I agree" Jacob said to him. And threw the apple back into the back pack.

Jacob now took out the grass and looked at Jared... If he didn't want the apple. Jared wont want grass. Jacob gave it to him, Jared chewed alittle and spit it back out onto Jacob's robes... "Nice" He said looking over at Jared who looked at Jacob inocently.

"Alright so No grass. At least you gave it a chance, right?" Onto the next test. he took out a slimey worm. "how about this?" and put the worm in front of Jared. Jared almost jumped at it, and ate it in one gulp. "Alrighty worms are a possitive" He said making a mental not as to write it down after he finished the last test. Taking out one of the rats by it's tail, Jacob looked at it for a second. It was squirming madly. Jacob looked at Jared who seemed to be sniffing the air. "So, you want this?" and put the rat in front of him. Jacob watched as Jared snatched the rat, and tore it apart. "Geez, Savor the food. Why don't ya?" Jacob saw that alot of blood was dripping onto his robes... Great!

"So you like that?" he asked. Blood still dripping from Jared's mouth. Jacob took out the last food in his backpack. The last two rats. Jacob let Jared see them, and smell the air before he threw the rats a little bit away. With out missing a beat. Jared Leaped off jacob's shoulder and and ran at one of the rats... the slower one. Jacob watched as Jared Brutally killed it and brought it back over to jacob looking proud. Jared seemed to have let the other one go. And Jacob Recored the data.



Jacob looked over at Jared and said "come on lets get you back to your cage and I'll go see What else I can do for you when I come back." Jacob patted his shoulder to see if Jared would respond. And Suprisingly Jared did, and climbed up on his shoulder... Mental note. It my be a good way to train his, with words and hand signals.

Jacob got up at walked back to the cages. Jacob dropped jared back in his cage and locked it. "See you later" he said to Jared and left.

Mina skipped down toward the nursery. She was missing Chloé and she had a spare moment so it was a great time to visit her little baby. Their first meeting wasn't all that bad, but Mina still had a feeling the knarl didn't completely trust her. She really needed to gain Chloé's trust first.

The nursery was quiet and looked to be empty. Good, that meant the two of them would get some quality alone time together. Making her way to the cage with her name on it, she opened her bag. She had brought berries before and Chloé had liked them, but babies couldn't survive on berries alone. Pulling a small hankerchief from her bag, she moved to kneel in front of the cage.

Chloé was staring at her. Well that was kind of reassuring as that the first time, Chloé was curled up in a ball and didn't want to even look at her. Smiling to herself, she tilted her head. "How is my little Chloé doing today. I brought you a snack. I hope you like it. Maybe I'll bring you something more meaty next time," she nodded as she stood up and opened the cage.

At the sound of the cage opening, Chloé when a bit crazy and started to dig at the lining of the cage. "Sweetie, I'm not going to hurt you. Promise." she said in a calming voice. The sound of her voice apparently did something as Chloé calmed down slightly and looked up at her. "It will be okay, I promise you." Opening the handkerchief, she removed the small pieces of melon. Setting the melon in front of Chloé, Mina smiled and watched.

Sniffing at the melon and then circling it, Chloé nudged a piece with her nose, pushing it toward Mina. Smiling, Mina reached in and took the piece of melon. Nudging up to her hand, Chloé blinked at her. How could she say no to a look like that. With her other hand, she picked up the little thing and pulled her out of the cage.

Sitting down, Mina looked at Chloé in her palm and the piece of melon. Did she want her to feel her? Well, it was worth a try. Holding the piece of melon up to Chloé, Mina waited to see what would happen.

Looking at the melon, Chloé sniffled it. Nudging it again, she gave it a lick and then a bit. If the squeal was any indication of anything, Chloé must have liked her treat. After finishing up with the melon, she looked up at Mina and blinked again. Just then Chloé licked Mina's finger and nibbled on it. "That tickles," Mina giggled. Chloé squealed again and then started to foam slightly at the mouth before licking her spines.

Entry Two:
Chloé is still a bit suspicious, but she doesn't curl up in ball anymore in my presence. I think she might be getting used to my voice.

Brought her some melons. She seems to like them.

Just like a hedgehog, she anoints. She bit my finger. No real harm.

Destiny was only somewhat prepared for this. She had spent a good time in the library finding all the information on Jarvies as she could. What they ate, though, there was NO way she would feed that stuff to Captain Walker D. Plank. Just because she gave him a pirates name, doesn't mean he has to go around acting like one. Eating poor gnomes and moles. Rats..ehh, he could eat them all he wanted.

Entering the stone building, her eyes flickered to each and every cage as she passed. A few 'awwws' left her mouth as did a few 'ewwws'. The BABY Niflers were CUTE, the Knarls were CUTE, the Imps..were eww! She walked by the Imps as fast as she could, for she remembered learning about those in class. She was thankful she didn't get assigned one of those!

It only took a few minutes to locate the Jarvies, and she smiled as she saw HER Jarvey. He was..the CUTEST thing she had ever seen..besides Sly, that is. That cat will still be the cutest thing, no matter how many shoelaces he eats. She un-slung her bag from her shoulder, and placed it on the ground. The Jarvey was asleep, and she hated to wake him up, but it was her assignment to interact with him. "Captain Walker D. Plank! Wake up!" she said, running a finger across the bars of the cage. Hopefully the noise would wake him up?

It did.

Blinking a few times, the Jarvey yawned ad stretched before walking over to the bars to start gnawing at the bars. He wanted out, and he felt this was the only way to get the attention of the girl in front of him.

Destiny blinked a few times as well. She didn't expect the Jarvey to try and gnaw his way out. "Okay, okay, I'll take you out!" Before he breaks his teeth! She slowly opened the cage, and stuck her hand inside. She didn't grab him right away, since she didn't know how he would react to that. She wouldn't like if someone reached out and just grabbed her, so Captain wouldn't either.

With an unblinking gaze, the Jarvey watched as the girl opened the cage. If it was possible for a Jarvey to smirk, he would have been. He now knew the secret to his release, and that was to gnaw at the bars. As the hand came closer to his face, the Jarvey slowly moved closer, looking up from the hand to the girl. With his eyes still on the girl, he inched his way closer to sniff the hand inside. She smelled..like chocolate.

The way the Jarvey looked at her, was kinda creepy. She thought it was going to bite her, but when it only sniffed her, she gave a sigh of relief. Feeling that it was okay to lift him, she grabbed him carefully under the belly and closed the cage when he was out.

The Jarvey would have exclaimed FREEDOM as soon as he was out, but a nice, clear "Freak" come out instead. He couldn't help what came out of his mouth. As the girl closed his cage, the Jarvey took the opportunity to run up her arm and rest atop her shoulder. He liked it up there, he could see EVERYTHING!

Right. Destiny expected this. She was just waiting for the insults to pour out of the Jarvies mouth, and when it did, she couldn't help but burst into laughter. Holding onto Captain's back, she bent over and rummaged through her bag to grab her quill and notebook. Might as well start this journal.



She walked around the nursery for a while, with Captain on her shoulder. The Jarvey liked to lean up on her shoulder to get a closer look at all the other creatures in the cages. Hmm..he probably wanted to EAT them. Well, she wouldn't let that happen! As the Jarvey became a little squirmy on her shoulder, Destiny decided it was time to put him back in his cage. She walked over and placed him inside, closing the cage once he was in. "Okay, Captain. I'll let you sleep now, but I'll be back!"

Om nom nom. Captain liked to look at all the creatures. They looked YUMMEH! He licked his lips a few times without the girl knowing. He was juuuust about to lunge into one of the cages when he was being put back in his cage! Nuuuuu! "Freak." he said one last time, before plopping down on his little Jarvey bed. He yawned once, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Destiny laughed again as she was called a freak again. She waited by his cage until he fell asleep, then picking up her bag, put her journal away and slung it over her shoulder.

Tomorrow..she would try to feed him.

Alexandrie decided to visit her Knarl again, after all she anted to see if the cute creature trusted her more. She entered the nursery silently opening up Adorabelle's cage. She picked the Knarl up gently, she was wake but clearly with the tired shake of her body not for long. "Hi sweety." Alex greeted keeping her voice low setting the Knarl down and away from other creatures, at least ones that weren't Knarls. She was careful of not being pricked. So far the Knarl hadn't tried anything in fact it barely cringed this time. She filled another bowl with milk before gently tickling her creature, "Whose so cute?" she cooed before placing the bowl in front of it and retreated 5 feet away. The Knarl took a sniff at the milk before eating slowly.

Alex closed the Journal noticing the Knarl, Adorabelle, Alex corrected had finished and was getting ready to sleep again, She picked up the Knarl again and put her inside her named cage closing the door. Surprisingly the Knarl hadn't attacked her yet. She left the Nursery intending to come back tomorrow.

Marie was so excited. Today was the first time she was going to get to see her little Crup Frankie. She ran all the way to the nursery hoping Frankie would be happy to see her. She knew Crups were known to be aggressive but she really hoped that hers wouldn't be, especially since her and Carter were going to be working together on training their little creatures. The first thing she was going to train Frankie on was NOT to be aggressive towards muggleborn wizards and witches.

Finally reaching the nursery she stopped running and quietly walked in. Looking around she spotted Carter sitting on the floor in front of what she assumed to be Kali's cage. She walked over towards him looking for the cage with Frankie's name on it as she went. Finally finding it she was happy to see that it was right next to Kali. She looked inside Frankie's cage and seen that he was sleeping. Aww, she didn't want him to be sleeping, she wanted to play with him. "Hey Carter," she said as she sat down. "Was he sleeping when you got here?" she asked as she reached in and gently started to pet him.

"Time to wake up Frankie." She watched as he yawned and stretched his little body. He was soooo cute when he did that. Holding her hand out to him she let him sniff at her before she tried lifting him out of his cage.

She giggled a little when he started to lick her hand. That is until he BIT her. "Hey!" she said as she pulled her hand away. "Bad Frankie!" She looked at her fingers to see if they were bleeding, which they weren't, there wasn't even a mark where he bit her.

And here she thought she was going to have to worry about the Crups being too aggressive towards Carter.

Not wanting to put her hand back in his cage yet, she decided to start writing in her daily Crup journal. She grabbed the journal and her almost invisible quill (the one Evelyn gave her) from her bag and started on her first entry.

Walking into the nursery, JD spots the Crup kennels almost immediately. Peering into the kennel that had Trixie's name on the front, he smiles making sure not to show his teeth.

Awww the poor thing was curled up in the corner peeking out at him. Opening the cage door JD looks in, calling softly "Trixie, come here." Watching her shiver, probably with fright, not knowing him at all, JD sits back and crosses his legs. Sitting there watching her, hoping to earn her trust.

Taking a ball out of the pocket of his robes, he rolls it back and forth in front of him. Glancing up at Trixie, he notices her watching the ball roll back and forth. Slowly she moves forward, toward him and the ball.

Darting forward she grabs the ball, and runs away from him back to the other side of the cage. Her ears flapping up and down as she runs on those short little legs.

Laughing at the sight, he pulls out another ball. Her eyes watching to see what he'll do with that one, she drops the ball that was in her mouth.

Carter smiled as he heard Marie. "Hey." he said to her. "I'm not sure. I came straight here to Kali. I didn't realized Frankie was right next to her." he said. That was convenient.

"You alright?" he asked her. She must have been bit. "Try ignoring him for a minute and then telling him it's not okay for him to bite you. And then give him something else to chew on." he said to her. Training crups was just like training puppies, right? "Here, I got this for you to give Frankie." he said pointing at the steak.

He then turned his attention back to Kali. It seemed that she was almost done with the steak. He waited for her to finish. She then headed over to her water bowl. Making sure the crup was watching he filled up the bowl with "Aguamenti". This would show her that he cared. After drinking some water she came by the gate of her cage. She didn't bark this time. This was a good sign.

"Hey Kali. Want to play a game girl?" he asked her holding up the small ball. Kali took a few steps backwards and wagged her tail tails forked tail. "Go get it." he said tossing the ball against the back wall of her enclosure. Kali chased after the ball and pounced on it. She took the ball in her mouth and placed it on the ground and backed away again.

Carter picked up the ball and threw it again. While Kali was getting the ball he updated his entry.

Visit One:
As soon as I approached Kali's cage she realized I was a muggleborn and began barking. I talked to her and gave her a treat. I hope that this calms her down a bit. She seems to really enjoy it.

After finishing her steak and drinking some water, Kali seemed in a much better mood. She came up to the front of the cage and didn't bark at me. We then started to play fetch with a little ball that I brought.

Rae walked into the nursery with the journal in which she had written her first entry from last time.



This time she had Erebos go and catch her a baby mouse to see if Amyntas would eat it. Rae didn't want to take the approach of grabbing her from her cage. Who knows what would happen. Instead she opened the cage and sat down right next to the cage allowing the Clabbert to climb onto her arm like last time. Once she was on her shoulder, Rae lightly stroked her back with the tips of her fingers... She couldn't feed it on her shoulder. Rae carefully secured her hand around the Clabbert and put her on the ground in front of Rae. She also had the bag with the mouse in her hand, she dumped the mouse on the floor and watched as Amyntas sniffed the mouse with caution then very swiftly scooped the mouse in her mouth in one bite. That was really creepy. Rae looked at her with amazement and disgust, then opened the stupid journal.



After this she picked up Amyntas, and put her back out of the cage. Rae walked out of the nursery still disgusted.

Noir walked into The Magical Creature Nursery..she was so excited..today was the first day she'll see her baby Imp, Basil..She had spent a good time in the library reading about Imp..she wanted to get along with Basil she didn't wan to let down Professor Lawson..

Finally she arrived at the Nursery..when she walked in, she saw so many cage and then she stopped in front of a cage that have Basil's name on it..she saw Basil sleeping.."Oh my god..how CUTE..!!" she thought..she opened the cage and she put Basil gently in her hand.."Hello Basil.." she said

Slowly Basil opened his eyes and stretched in Noir's hand..he tried to give Noir signal that he's hungry..

"Are you hungry little one??" she asked Basil

Basil only sniffed in Noir's hand..

"Okay..I take that as a yes then" she smiled to Basil and grab her bag she pulled out a plastic full with small insect in it..

Basil saw the plastic in the girl's arm and tried to grab it with his small hand.."Please give me those.." he tried to said with his eyes..

Noir opened the plastic and gave to Basil..she saw Basil ate and she smiled "How cute is that"..she pulled out her parchment and quill from her bag and began to take a note..


Noir put back her parchment and quill in her back and she saw Basil finished eating his insects..she smiled to Basil..

Basil began to yawn..

"Are you sleepy Basil?"she asked the little Imp and she saw Basil already sleep in his cage.."Well I guess he is.." she smiled..she put a small blanket to Basil sleeping form..she closed the cage and locked it.."I'll be back soon Basil..sweet dreams.."

It was early when the little 'puff calmly made her way to the creatures nursery. She glanced over to the lake were a soft breeze was coming from and looked at the still rising sun. Yes, it was that early and she didn't mind one bit having stoped by the kitchen for breakfast on her way here. She wanted to be alone with her new baby, and wanted to feed him before Lady Lawson knowing that the woman cared for the babies when the students weren't there. She had spent all of yesterday learning about Clabberts, most of that time being in the school library. It wouldn't have taken all day had she not gotten so distracted with other things like eating, swiming, and those comfy library chairs that were great for naps. Stuff like that.

This wasn't the first trip she had made to visit her baby clabbert, but it would be their first interaction. She had stoped by last night before curfew but he had been sleeping and she didn't have the heart to wake him. So she was excited to see him now, having the whole day planned for just the two of them. She shifted her old knapsack on her shoulder as she tugged at her gray cotton jacket, now lingering outside the nursery door. Arya was listening for the sounds of other students or her professor, and when she heard no one but the babies she smiled and slowly pushed the door open.

Many of the creatures were sleeping soundly with the exclusion of a few early risers. For a moment she just stood there and listened to the sounds of creatures snoozy and rustling around in thier cages, welcoming in the scent of the nursery as her eyes scanned the room before she slowly made her way over to the clabbert cages.

Snuggled deep in his nest, made with a soft hunter green blanket the was perched on a few small tree branches near the rear of the cage, he had heard her long before she had even entered the nursery. Being too early for it to be the sweet woman that normally cared for him, he knew it wasn't her and curiosity grabed hold of him as he peered over his nest. He wasn't going to move from his warm bed just yet though, just in case this new visitor wasn't for him. Though he hoped she was. Instead he watched as the person walked around the room.

So Arya didn't make a beeline for Rafiki's cage, she had wanted to peek into a few other creature's cages first. She glanced at her sleeping kneazle she had last term, the little girl never was one to wake early, and she stole a glance at Miles somewhat surprised he was sleep as well until she passed by a window and remembered just how early she had gotten up.

Finally she had made it to the clabbert cages, and it took her no time at all to find her baby's cage. Kneeling slightly so that she could have a peek at him, she tried to be as quiet as possible in case he was sleeping. Once she could see inside, she realized that he was up as well, and probably had been for a while. Letting loose her knapsack, she unlached the cage and opened the door. She wanted a better look at him. "Mornin Rafiki..."

He had been watching her the entire time as she wondered around the room and his little heart broke everytime she peered into a cage that was not his. Where was his special person to love and play with him? He had almost stoped watching her until she stoped at his cage. Was she here....for HIM? Growing excited, his red eyes widened as she looked into his cage and he rustled around in his nest as the door opened. Rafiki took her strange words as an invatation to play and hopped out of the nest and onto his cage floor. Ungainly running towards her face, he tripped and fell over his too long front legs, blinked twice then got up and finished running clumsily at her until he was clinging to her face. He wanted to PLAY....and eat.

Arya giggled softly at Rafiki as he tripped over his front legs that he had yet to grow into. For some reason she had thought he was gonna come to some sort of stop before he reached her, but at the speed and uncoordinated rate he was going, that proved wrong. Gently pulling him from her face, she grinned at the creature and gave him a once over before placing him on her neck to cling. "Okie dokes, Rafiki. I can tell you wanna play," She giggled softly as she quielty made her way over to the cleaning supplies. "But first things first. We need to clean your cage. Then you eat. Then play, okay?"

Rafiki was SAD when he was pulled from her, he wanted to cuddle and nuzzle and PLAY. He tried not to let it show, but it was written all over his sullen (if a clabbert could even have one) face as she held him. But then she had placed him on her neck and he was HAPPY again. Clinging to her with one arm, he used his other to play with her hair as she spoke again. He was too distracted by her shiny black hair to pay her any mind.

Feeling him tugging lightly on her hair, she grinned and took that as acknowledgement of her words. Arya picked up a few of the cleaning supplies and headed back over to his cage. Cleaning as quietly as possible so not to wake the other sleeping creatures as the sun continued to rise through the window.

Marie looked up when Carter asked if she was alright. "Yeah, I'm fine." she said showing him her finger. "See, no blood." She then finished writing in her journal.

"Um, I didn't think to bring him anything to chew on," she said. Really she didn't think to bring anything with her, except for her journal and quill. However, she was in luck because Carter had thought to bring a steak for Frankie. "Aww thanks, that was really nice of you to think of Frankie." she said. She would totally have to bring something for Kali the next time she came down here. Maybe she could get both Kali and Frankie some chew toys. Hmm, would they sell things like that in Hogsmeade?

She grabbed the steak and held it over Frankie's cage. "Come here boy, look what I have for you, a nice juicy steak." Frankie ran over to her and started barking like crazy. He must have really wanted that steak. "NO Biting!" she said with a firm voice. she did not want him to bite her again.

"Sit Frankie," she said. Might as well start training him now she thought. She held the steak up with one hand and gently pushed his bottom down with her other hand. Once he was down she removed her hand. "Stay!" she said firmly. She continued to hold the steak there for all of about 10 seconds before Frankie jumped up and grabbed it out of her hand.

"Hey you silly crup, I didn't say you could have that yet," she said while laughing. "Next time you will have to sit longer than 10 seconds." Frankie didn't take his eyes off that steak, he didn't care that Marie was talking to him, all he cared about right now was sinking his teeth into that piece of meat.

Well Marie wasn't about to bother Frankie while he was eating, she didn't want him to mistake one of her fingers for the steak. He had already bit her once. She grabbed her journal and wrote in it some more while he ate.


Once she was done with her journal entry she sat there and watched Carter play with Kali. Yep, she was going to have to get some toys for Frankie to play with too.

Carter smiled over at Marie as she fed little Frankie crup. He then turned his attention back to his little crup. She was back with the ball. He threw the ball a few more times until one time she didn't come back with the ball. Looks like she just wanted to chew on it. While she was doing this he went back to his journal.

m going to head out now. I'll see you later." he added gathering his things. He then faced Kali's cage. "Have a good sleep Kali. I'll see you tomorrow." he said. He then waved 'bye' to Marie and headed out. That was quite a pleasant first visit. Hopefully little Kali remembered him tomorrow.

Delilah walked in the nursery with her journal in her hand. She spotted her baby augurey. "Hi. Aww you're so cute." She opened the cage and the creature immedietly retreated to the back of the cage. "It's okay. I won't hurt you." Delilah opened her journal and started writing.

Delilah put her notebook down and watched Jez drink the water. "I have to go now. I'll be back tomorrow." Jez looked up at Delilah and then started to drink again. Delilah smiled before locking the cage and leaving.

It was the next day and Ella was very excited to see her baby Crup again. She had bonded with it so well already and she was glad that she wasn't assigned any other creature. Because a Crup was perfect for her. Today, she had come more prepared and she knew that Elvis would appreciate her more after today. She wandered inside the nursery and looked in the place where she had left Elvis in his cage the previous time she was here.

Once she finally saw him, she grinned widely and approached the Crup's cage. But he was sleeping. Aww man. In the hope that Elvis would wake up, Ella opened his cage with a clank, and just as she had hoped, his little eyes popped open. "Hello Elvis! How are you today?" Elvis rolled up off of his back and seemed to perk up a bit. She didn't want to have woken him up or anything, but she was glad that he did. "Come here you." She picked him up and snuggled him closely. Aww, she couldn't risist. He was just too adorable.

"I have something for you Elvis. It's a lot nicer than what I brought yesterday." She grinned then popped him down on top of his cage as she got it out of her pocket. It was a big slice of steak! Elvis got excited instantly which made Ella smile even more. She put the peice of steak in front of him and watched as he tucked in. Oh yes, he liked it a lot.

When he had finished, it was clear that Elvis was a lot more excited so Ella played with him by holding him up in the air and stroking him endlessly. After a certain amount of time passed, she looked at the time and decided it was time to leave for the day. "See you soon Elvis." Ella said, then placed him back inside his cage. He was acting a little restless, but lay down as she left.

Visit Two

When I arrived at the creatures nursery, I found Elvis sleeping soundly in his cage. I didn't want to wake him immediately, but I opened the cage which made a slight clank sound. It woke him up but he was still a little groggy. After I picked him up then told him about the treat I had bought for him. I placed him on top of his cage and gave him a slice of steak. He loved it! And it definitely perked him up a lot more which I was pleased to see.

I played with him a bit more then decided that it was time for me to leave. Elvis was a little unsettled about me leaving as he had only just got excited. But I placed him back in his cage and he started to snuggle down again.

Cocking her head Trixie looks at JD expectantly, waiting for him to do something with that funny little round thing. Swishing her forked tail back and forth, she moves forward just a little enough that her nose touches the ball. Nudging it a little, she looks up at JD with her soft brown eyes.

Smiling he tosses the ball he was holding and watches her chase it once again. Noticing that her water was running low, JD picks up the water dish, and closes the cage, so she couldn't get out.

Walking over to the water faucet, he cleans out the dish and refills it. Heading back to the kennel, he kneels down noticing as he does so, Trixie had brought both balls back to the door, and was sitting there with her paws against the kennel door, watching him.

"Awww! Good girl!" he croons. Placing the bowl on the ground next to him, he opens the kennel door. Trixie jumping up on him, as he does so.

Cuddling her he murmurs, "I guess your not so scared of me now, are you." He knew with time, he would win her over, and he did.

Reaching his arm into the cage with the water bowl, while holding her with his other hand, he places the bowl back in the cage. The food dish, looked fine, and was nicely filled still.

Taking out his journal and a quill he begins to write.



Finishing his writing he looks down at sweet Trixie. Discovering she had fallen asleep, he kisses the top of her head gently. Turning slightly, he leans against the kennel allowing her to continue sleeping.

About a 1/2 hour later

Making sure her nest was nice and clean, JD places her back in her kennel. I'll be back in the morning sweetie.

Picking up his journal and quill, he exits the nursery.
