Selena walked into the nursery again and saw little Yume, asleep. Today Selena had brought some things for Yume. The kneazle was going to be so spoiled. She opened the cage and looked at Yume.
Yume looked up from the cage ground. It was disgusting. Then she saw her. Her owner. She padded over. Please have something to play with... Yume thought. And some milk. Yume added. Too bad two legged people didn't understand her.
Selena grinned as Yume walked over to her and she took out her notebook..
Quote:
Day Two:
Yume seems to know who I am. She walked over to me today and she seems to be asking for something.
Selena had brought her kneazle a few small cushions, much like the numerous pillows that littered her own bed. "Hey Yume, I bought you some tiny pillows," Selena said as she waved them at the neazle. she had also brought something for the kneazle to sleep on. "And a rug, that seems better than that," she added as she wrinkled her nose when she saw the metal cage.
The two legged person brought Yume stuff. Big deal... it didn't mean that Yume liked it. Though the colours were quite nice... Yume turned her pink nose up in the air and paced around the cage. She wanted to get out of it... the cage was quite restricting and she couldn't groom herself in it.
Selena looked at the kneazle. Rawrs. She was a complicated one. She took Yume out of the cage. "Look, I took you out of the cage, but don't go running away or anything," Selena warned. She set Yume down on the ground. Yume immediately started to lick her paws clean and groom herself. Selena shook her head and arranged the rug on the ground as well as some pillows. That looked much better. She also added a saucer inside it and poured some milk into it. "There you go, Yume, here's something for you two drink," Selena smiled before she took the quill to write some more things into her notebook.
Quote:
... Yume is quite an aristocrat. She likes to groom herself and makes quite a bit of demands. She's very ladylike... maybe I should've gotten her a different collar. A plain silver one. She looks like a kneazle who would like those things. Yume right now is grooming herself. Her white fur is already clean enough though...
Selena set out another bowl of cut up fish. She hoped Yume liked it. She set Yume back in the cage and waited for her reaction.
Yume took a bite of the fish then pushed it away. Was the two legged person trying to kill her? She absolutely hated it. She wondered if it would make her look bloated. Instead, she just lapped at the milk.
Quote:
... Yume doesn't like tuna fish. Perhaps she prefers salmon? She could use some omega 3's... it would make her look more pristine.
Selena sighed and took the saucer away. "You picky little girl," she sighed. She glanced at her watch. Oh dear. "Okay Yume, Selena has to go now, enjoy your milk, I'll be back here tomorrow," Selena promised her kneazle before locking the cage carefully. She blew her kneazle a kiss then walked out of the nursery.

Maddie sat down, still watching Smokey. She looked at her notes, and pulled out the journal.
SPOILER!!: Maddie's Creature Diary
Day One:
My first visit with Smokey seemed to go well. I let her out of the cage and she wandered around the outside pen for a little while. She's only about an inch tall, and is very red. Almost scarlet. Her horns are small and curly on the top of her head. I suppose they'll grow as she gets older.
Day Two:
My second visit. I tried some different foods out, to see which Smokey would like best. I gave her dog food, which she hated. Then we tried hay, which Smlkey seemed to like. She woouldn't eat it off my hand, though. I'm not sure she trusts me yet. I stroked her head, which she didn't really mind. I bought her a blanke to lie on when she's in the cage. She liked the blanket, I think. Next time, I'll bring a pillow. We tried some more foods. Her favourite is crickets. She likes them so much she'll eat them off of my hand! She also likes carrots, but doesn't like spiders. I set out water, but she ignored it. when I gave her milk, she fell in the bowl, and I picked her out. She drank the milk very fast. After that, I wrapped her up in the balnket and I left.
Maddie sat up, and put the book in her bag. She stood and waved at Smokey, and then left the Nursery

Alexandrie walked into the Nursery finding Adorabelle on the spot, She noticed Adorabelle was sleeping and smiled. "Aww." She muttered at the creature, She left quickly making sure Adorabelle was okay, after all both times before she had come Adorabelle had been wide awake, she would come back tomorrow she thought leaving the nursery.
Colette happily skipped into the nursery, with her bag on her shoulder, in search of her new little baby. Once she found the cage with her name on it, she put her bag down, she found her little Kneazle. "Hey boy." she said as she spoke to her little sleeping kneazle. "Filo? Do you like that name?" she questioned it, even though it was asleep. But just as she was about to speak again, the little kitten picked it's head up slightly, stretched and yawned. Cole smiled with delight and opened the cage.
As she gently picked up Filo, she noticed how beautiful the kitten was. He was a deep brown color with a white tummy and tan spots along his back. Cole stroked Filo's fur as he pawed at her hands. He also had the largest, green-gray eyes she had ever seen, which only added to his adorableness. She pulled the kitten close, cradling him, as she pulled out some food from her pocket.
First, she took out a carrot. She wasn't quite sure if he'd enjoy that, but she'd give it a go. She put the carrot near Filo and he pawed at it, keeping it as far away from him as possible. Cole giggled as she pocketed the carrot again. As she put the carrot into her pocket, Filo began to squirm this way and that, causing Cole to almost drop him. She scolded him for trying to escape her clutches.
She dropped down to her knees, and allowed Filo a bit of freedom as she grabbed the milk carton from her bag and the cute little kitty bowl. As she began to open the carton, Filo stopped, whipped his little head around and bounded over to the now, half full bowl of milk. She grinned as the kitten dropped his head and began lapping up the milk. As he was busy with that, she took out her little red journal from her bag and began to write what she had observed.
SPOILER!!: Day One of Filo the Kneazle
Day One
The little kneazle, who i named Filo is quite the hyper little rascal. He doesn't seem to want to stay still after he was awakened from his little nap. He's quite beautiful and he doesn't enjoy carrots. But one thing he does enjoy, is milk, which he is currently lapping up faster than i can write this down. He is also quite trustworthy of me, and it's odd that he trusted me so quickly. But, nonetheless, he's a perfect little kneazle.
After writing her journal entry, she realized the little kneazle was done with his milk and was wandering the little room looking for something to do. Maybe one of the reasons he felt so comfortable with her was because he could smell the scent of Bloo all over her. That might have made him a bit more relaxed seeing as she probably smelt like a kitten. She giggled, and stood up. She walked over to him scooped him up into her arms, where he squirmed every which way. She ran two over he fingers down his stomach, which he seemed to enjoy. Just like Bloo. She smiled.
Feeling as though she should head to her dorm, she put little Filo back in his cage, and said "Bye Filo. I'll come see you tomorrow, alright?" she waved to his cage as she opened the door and left the stone house.

Fallon was really excited to start this assignment. She loved animals and couldn't wait to meet her Phoenix. She had only read about them in books, but she really wanted to see one in real life. Now it was her chance.
She walked into the nursery and looked around for the cage that would have hers and her Phoenix's name on it. As soon as she spotted it, she walked over just in time to see the Phoenix burst into flames. Fallon wasn't worried because she knew that a baby would be born from the ashes.
Soon enough, there was a little baby Phoenix looking up at her from the bottom of the cage. Fallon smiled as the little baby looked up at her. "Hey little Pyrros," she cooed. The baby let out a slight little sound.
Fallon opened the cage door and put her hand in slowly. She watched as the little Phoenix inspected it. As soon as he was comfortable with her, Pyrros nudged her hand and she stroked the delicate feathers. "Would you like to come out of there?" She gingerly picked up the little Phoenix with both hands. She moved it towards her shoulder to see if it would rest there.
Fallon smiled to herself as Pyrros climbed onto her shoulder. It leaned up against her head and made small sounds within its throat. "Let's get you something to eat." She walked over to the cabinet that contained food, making sure the Pyrros didn't fall off of her shoulder. Once there, she looked through the cabinet to see if there were any insects. She found jars that were full of crickets and some that contained worms. "Let's try some of both."
First she offered Pyrros a cricket. He sniffed it and nibble it slightly before turning away from it. "All right. Let's try a worm then." She held up the worm and Pyrros eagerly ate it. Fallon smiled and kept offering him worms until he seemed to be done eating. Before walking back to the cage, she grabbed a bowl of water that could sit in the bottom for Pyrros to drink.
Once she set the water down in the bottom of the cage, she gingerly took Pyrros off of her shoulder and put him back in the cage. She stroked the top of his head gently before closing the cage door. She then sat down on a nearby stool to write in the special journal she had gotten just for this assignment.
SPOILER!!: Pyrros the Phoenix's Journal
Visit One
Today was Pyrros's burning day. As soon as I neared the cage, he burst into flames and soon was reborn from the ashes. He seems to be a very trustworthy creature, as it didn't take him long to allow me to pet him.
He seems to enjoy perching on my shoulder because I offered him the spot and he climbed up there immeadiately. I then went to find food for him. I tried crickets first, but he only nibbled at them slightly. Then I offered him worms, and he ate until he was full. Once he finished eating, I brought him back to his cage and left a bowl of water for him.
He seems to be a really trustworthy animal. He has already showed that he trusts me greatly. I am actually shocked this bond was formed rather quickly.
Fallon looked over what she had wrote and smiled. She looked back at Pyrros who had started to nod off. She grinned at the little Phoenix. "I'll be back tomorrow my little Pyrros." With that she started to make her way back to the castle.

Brant walked back into the Nursey. He noticed a lot of other students with their baby creatures. "Hmm, How nice. I guess everyone loves their baby creature that they are taking care of" he thought while turning left down to his Baby's Augurey cage. Looking in he noticed that "Little Dude" was just watching him walk to the cage door. "Hey Little Dude, How are you today?" he asked the baby bird.
Grabbing his notepad and his Falconry Gloves. He only put on one of the gloves so he could take notes on the birds improvements. Parchment and Quill in hand Brant opened the cage with the hand that had his Falconry glove on. "Little Dude" gave a little squeak when he picked him up."Its okay. Just gonna let you walk around on the ground" he said while putting a little leash around the birds neck. Didn't want him to get hurt.
Brant has already learned some things about this baby Augurey, so he place "Little Dude" down and watched him walk around on the Nursery floor.

Brant first took the Apple slice and held it to "Little Dudes" Beak and watched him look and sniff at it. He started to bite it and once it was in his mouth He spit it up. "Ewwww Bird Barf" Brant thought while chuckling a little. He took his Quill and made a note. Next he tried the Flies. Even before Brant took it out of the bag "Little Dude" seemed to get really excited for the flies. "Erm, Okay Eww I guess he likes Flies" He thought. "Little Dude instantly started to Nom on it and Brant just watched him. Once he was done eating the fly Brant took out some grapes. Once again he spit them up. "Little Dude" somewhat liked the peices of meat and totally turned his head away from the Lettuce. Brant made sure to write all these interestings facts down.

Delilah walked in the nursery. No one was there. Good. She walked to Jez's cage and put her hand in the cage. Jez hopped over and sat on Delilah's hand. Delilah watched Jez suspiciously. I wonder... Delilah took Jez out to the play area. She took one of the flies out of her jar and let it loose. Jez started jumping to get the fly. She finally gave up and looked at Delilah. She gave a little cry before jumping into her hand. Delilah took out another fly and fed it to the augurey.

Jez the Augurey: Day 2
I took Jez out to the play area today. It's weird that i didn't think of this yesterday, but i don't think that Jez can fly. I let a fly loose and she only jumped, no flying. She gave up so i fed her and gave her some more water. She's a heavy eater. She still seemed hungry after i fed her. I think i will catch more insects for her tomorrow.
Delilah locked up Jez's cage. "Bye sweetie! See ya tomorrow!!"

Walking happily down to the nursery, finally finding time to visit Orion, thank Merlin, Evelyn walked into the place, expecting the smell and perhaps people as well this time around. Well, no people, but the smell was still there. At least it wasn't early in the morning however, so it wasn't enhanced in any way. It just...stunk.
Finding her niffler's cage again, Evelyn smiled as she peaked in and noticed that the little niffler was in fact...awake! Since he mostly slept and ate cranberries while half asleep the last time she was here, she figured he'd still be all sleepy and such. But she guessed all that sleeping made him wide awake now. "Helloooo." she said quietly.
Which could've been a bad thing. The moment that happened, he became all...cautious like. Did he...not remember her? This had gone through her mind the night before, and she even went down to the kitchens to cut up a cranberry for the little guy to eat as a treat, but...she didn't think of what to actually do if he didn't remember. He WAS half asleep when he opened his eyes to see her for the first time.
Taking a step away, since he seemed to be getting all defensive, the Slytherin frowned and pulled out the napkin holding the cut cranberry, placing it at the corner of the cage if he wanted to eat it. Tomorrow perhaps, she would come back and see how things progressed. She didn't want to take it too quickly...
"See'ya later little guy." she mumbled, before heading back out. Yup, she would come back tomorrow. Now to just, write down what happened.
Noir walked into Magical Creatures Nursery..she was so excited to meet her little Imp, Basil again.."The first time went so well and I hope today too" she said..Noir arrived at Basil's cage..she saw the little creatures still asleep..she opened his cage and she touched Basil gently hoped he won't awake but Basil awake.."Hello little one..sorry I wake you" she smiled to Basil..
Basil looked around and wondered who disturb him..he saw the girl who gave him food and petted him last time.."I hope she bring me more food..I'm starving and something to play too.." he said but to bad she didn't understand what he said..
Noir looked at Basil for a few minutes tried to understand him.."Are you hungry, Basil??"
Basil gave her a look 'Yeeeeesssss..I'm starving..please give me some small insects to eat'
"Well..I take it as yes then.." she gave Basil plastic with insects inside it.."I hope you enjoy your meal little one" she smiled..
Basil's eyes widen when he saw his food..but he hated it when the girl called him little one..Basil know he's little but he didn't like it when she called him that..
"Whats wrong little one?" Noir asked
Basil snorted when he heard she called him little again and he gave her an angry look..
"You didn't like I call you little, Basil?" she asked and she saw Basil nodded.."Wow..he understand what I said" she said happily and she gave Basil milk to drink after he finished eating..
Basil still busy with his food and he glad that she know that he didn't like she called him little..and he drank his milk..
Noir watched Basil eat his food and then she pulled out her parchment and quill from her bag and took a note for her journal..

Vashti was so excited! Today was the first day she'd be caring for her little kneazle baby, and she was looking forward to spending time with it for the rest of the term. She reached the cage quickly, a big grin splitting her face instantly when she saw the little kitten sitting up, peering out of the cage, as if expecting her to arrive. So cuuuute!
"Hey there, Atalanta," she said, opening the cage. "How're you doing today?" The kneazle stood and took a little bound toward the edge of the cage, stopping just before Vashti's face. Then the little critter stretched her neck out a little, sniffing the girl's face. Vashti giggled.
"That tickles!" But she didn't move, letting Atalanta sniff her until she was satisfied that she wasn't edible. "You hungry, cutie?" Vashti asked, reaching inside to scratch the little kitten behind the ear. Atalanta pulled her head out of Vashti's reach for a second then sniffed her hand. Vashti giggled again. "You like smelling things, don't you?" she said with a grin. Once Atalanta was done, Vashti pulled her hand back out, got out the little can of tuna and one of the little cat bowls she'd brought with her. Setting the bowl down just a little ways outside the cage, she then opened the can, winced at the smell (which she positively hated but would deal with it if Atalanta liked it), and dumped it into the bowl. Then she reached for the little kneazle, who was looking at her curiously, head cocked to the side.
Suddenly, perhaps she suddenly found the smell appealling, Atalanta bounded for the bowl, dropped her head to give the food a final sniff, and then began chowing down. Vashti grinned. "You like that then?" She took the kitten's fervent eating as a yes.
So while the little kitten busied herself, Vashti pulled a blue notebook from her bag and began journalling.
SPOILER!!: Vashti's Atalanta Journal
Visit One
Atalanta seems very curious. She likes to sniff the new things she comes in contact with to see if they're okay. She also seems to really like eating tuna, but maybe she'll like other things too. She most likely will. She acts like she'd like to try new things.
As she finished, Vashti suddenly remembered that she still had some homework she needed to finish. And she had class soon! Ugh. She wanted to spend more time with Atalanta, but she doubted Professor Lawson would want them to skip other classes and forget about doing homework just to spend time with their creature babies. That wasn't the point of the assignment. Sigh.
Vashti closed her notebook and stuffed it back into her bag. Then she picked up Atalanta, who had finished her tuna and was beginning to scamper around, and the bowl, placing the little kneazle back into her cage. "I'll come back and play with you next time, Atalanta," Vashti told her as she closed the cage. "And I'll bring you some more tuna and maybe some milk. How's that sound?" The kitten mewed in response, staring up at her, and Vashti took that as an, Okay, I'm looking forward to it!
"Bye, sweetie!" she said as she slung her bag back over her shoulder, waved to the kitten, then left the nursery.

Nymphy walked into the nursey and found his little creature, a cute and clever Jarvey, named Kurt.
"Hey boy....." said, picking him up and petting him. Nymphy knew quite well that Kurt couldn't understand him, but talking to him helped Kurt seem more real, plus he could talk to the Jarvey and have a fake conversation.........he would imagine what Kurt would have said and this separated his two sides (like the angel and deamon thing on the shoulders)
"You looked parched....." he said, taking him over to the water bucket. Kurt dunked his head and drank. When he resurfaced, Kurt gave Nymphy a cute smile and thakful "pip-pup". After playing and petting for ten minutes, Nymphy said his good bye, replaced his Jarvey, Kurt, and left.....
Ellie came in again to visit Amata. She found her yipping and wagging her tail and running around her little pen. Ellie smiled. "Hey there girl! Look what I brought!" she held up some small pieces of cooked chicken and a cup of water. She put them down and picked Amata up instead. Sitting down, she began to feed her slowly, one piece at a time. "Good girl." she said, stroking the Crup as she chewed.
Fallon skipped back down to the Magical Creatures nursery to visit little Pyrros. She entered and went to the cabinet to get him some food. Then she walked over to where his cage was.
As soon as he saw her, he let out a little bit of Phoenix song. "Hey Pyrros." Fallon went to open the cage. She noticed that he had already gotten quite a bit bigger since the last time that she had visited. She reached in and stroked Pyrros a little before giving him some worms to eat.
Once he had finished his worms, she put her hands into the cage and picked him up. She placed him near her shoulders and watched as he perched in the same manner as before. "Why don't we go outside today, huh?" Fallon started to walk towards the exercise area that was outside the nursery.
Once she got outside, Pyrros started to flap his wings. He flew a little bit before landing on the ground. She watched as he kept trying to fly, flying longer each and every time.
Colette skipped into the nursery happily, with her bag swung over her shoulder and her journal somewhere inside of it. She couldn't wait to see Filo. She quickly walked over to his cage. She peeked inside his cage and was surprised to see that he was already awake. Cole smiled broadly as she unlocked the cage and swung it open. Filo decided he no longer wanted to be in the cage, therefore, he jumped strait at Cole's face as the cage swung open. Startled, Colette emitted a little shriek as her face was engulfed in fur. She giggled, and pried the cat off, instead, placing the kneazle on her shoulder.
Cole's hand flew to her forehead as she felt something drip down her face. Ah, he scratched me. she thought to herself. No big deal, it would heal eventually. But little did she know there was more than one cut. She then pulled Filo into her arms, carrying him like a baby. She placed him gently on the ground as she herself took a seat. Grinning, she placed her bag on the ground as well, and began to shuffle through it. Where was it? she asked herself. Ah, there it is. she said as she pulled out a long plastic stick with a string and a furry little toy mouse at the end.
She called Filo's name. He didn't respond at first, so she had to call him multiple times, bang her hands on the ground and do just about anything to get his attention. Once he finally trotted over, she waved the stick along the ground, waiting for him to go after it. Unsure of what it was, Filo scrambled after it, trying to catch it so that he may examine it. He looked as if he wanted to eat the poor thing. Cole chuckled and played with him for another fifteen minutes before putting the toy away. But, as she put the one thing away, she retrieved milk, bowls, and a plate of wrapped up salmon for little Filo.
As she placed the two identical bowls on the ground, Filo bounded over to inspect them. She grinned and picked one of them up as she opened the milk carton. She then proceeded to fill it about halfway with milk and place it on the ground. He responded by taking a sip and stepping back to see what she would do with the next bowl. Cole giggled and unwrapped the plate of Salmon. She placed two small slices in the bowl, and watched as he inspected them and took a nibbled. Watching him gobble it up, she placed two more and watched as he went back in forth between the milk and the Salmon. With that, Cole retrieved her journal and began to write.
SPOILER!!: Journal

The little kneazle, who i named Filo is quite the hyper little rascal. He doesn't seem to want to stay still after he was awakened from his little nap. He's quite beautiful and he doesn't enjoy carrots. But one thing he does enjoy, is milk, which he is currently lapping up faster than i can write this down. He is also quite trustworthy of me, and it's odd that he trusted me so quickly. But, nonetheless, he's a perfect little kneazle.
Day Two
Today, i showed Filo one of my kitten's toys which he enjoyed very much. Like any normal kitten, he probably would have played for a while had i not taken it away. Today i also gave him new solid food to try. I gave him Salmon, which he seemed to like a lot. He enjoys having that with his milk of course. And to my surprise when i first got here, he was awake and almost mauled me when i took him out of the cage. He doesn't seem to like staying still, which is probably normal for a tiny kitten like him.
As Cole finished writing, she closed the journal and put it away. She lifted her head to see that Filo was not where she had left him, but the bowls were empty and so was the plate of salmon, even though she had not given it all to him. She turned around and there he was, pushing a piece of salmon across the floor. She chuckled, stood up, and walked over to the kneazle. She scooped him up into her arms as he dived for the salmon. Cole smiled and retrieved the fish from the floor and dangled it over his head, teasing him. She walked over to his cage, sad that she was done with him for the day. But, as a snack, she placed the salmon in the bowl and gently put it at the back of his cage, so that when he wanted it, it was there for him. He squirmed this way and that as she tried to put him away. He just didn't want to go. When she finally got him in there, she closed the gate slowly, and gave him a sad smile. "Bye Filo." she told him as she retrieved her bag and walked towards the door. But before exiting, she waved a goodbye.

Ellie then poured the water into a little bowl she brought with her and set it down for Amata to drink from. While she was drinking, Ellie pulled out her journal.

I fed Amata pieces of cooked chicken. She seemed to enjoy it and ate it quickly. Then I gave her some water to drink.
When Amata had finished with her drink, Ellie set her things aside and began to play with her. She made a mental note to bring a ball or something with her next time.
Fallon watched as Pyrros flew around the whole pen. She smiled in amazement. Pyrros then flew over and landed back on her shouled. He was singing and rested his head on her cheek. "You ready to go back inside?"
She turned to go back inside. She headed towards his cage and opened the door. Fallon watched as Pyrros climbed back inside. She grabbed the bowl that she had used for water and walked over to the storage area. She filled it with some new water and went back to the cage. Once she put it inside, she sat down to write in her journal again.
SPOILER!!: Pyrros the Phoenix's Journal
Visit 2
Today Pyrros recognized me immeadiately. He made some noise as soon as I opened the cage. He ate as soon as I offered the worms to him. Once he was done eating, I took him out to the exercise area.
As soon as we got out there, he started to flap his wings. Everytime he started to fly he stayed in the air longer. Right before I brought him inside, he had successfully flown around the whole pen, ending by landing on my shoulder.
I brought him back to his cage and went and got him some fresh water. Right now, he's staring at me trying to figure out what I'm doing.
Fallon smiled at the little Phoenix. She closed the book and got up from the stool. "I'll come back soon, okay?" She said as she stroked Pyrros on the head through the bars. She then exited the nursery to go back to the castle.
Selena walked into the nursery again. She walked over to little Yume. Awwh. Look at her... she was so cute. Selena smiled and opened the cage to take out her kneazle. "Hey there, girl, you seem to be enjoying the place," Selena smiled. Yume's response was her nose up in the air as she pranced around. Selena giggled. Yume acted more of a pureblood than Selena did. "Alright, little princess, I have food for you," Selena said brightly. She had somehow managed to get some salmon for the little girl.
Quote:
Day Three:
Yume seems to like the salmon. Maybe because she knows it good for her? She really does like being clean, she spent another majority of the time grooming herself. Next time I'll get a her a mirror, maybe then she could study her reflection. She seems quite content in there. I also got her a squeaky toy! She absolutely hates it and refuses it. I tried putting it in her cage but she batted it out. She is so spoiled.
Selena sighed as she looked at the little kneazle. Rawrs. She placed the squeak toy inside again. And it landed back on the ground. Yume seemed to be giving her a glare that said: 'How dare you put that disgusting and vile thing into my home'. Selena pet the kneazle's head a giggled to herself. She refilled the saucer with milk. Again it was time to go. "See you next time Yume," Selena said as she locked her up again and waggled her fingers before leaving.

With her hands in her pocket as usual, one pocket holding a napkin like the last two visits she had, and in her other arm, a small (very small) blanket was held, the Slytherin made her way down to the nursery in the cold weather. Eesh. At least the sun would be coming out every now and then, and if not now, then sometimes soon.
Taking a deep breathe OUTSIDE of the nursery before entering, Evelyn made her way to the back side cages again, however, she stood a few feet away from the cage until the little niffler noticed her. She remembered his attitude the last time she had come, and she hoped that he would recognize her this time. Seeing him spot her, the same thing with the wide eyes and such happened, however, once she held up the napkin, the little niffler seemed to calm down.
Although, Evelyn was still slightly hesitant when walking closer to the cage, but this time, she held up a small smile on her face as she placed the blanket on the ground and put the napkin of one and a half cut up cranberry on the blanket as well. She figured she'd have about two and a half minutes to get this done since this little niffler seemed to like to take his time to eat his food. Which was a good thing of course. Don't want him to eat his food too quickly and get sick.
Opening the cage, she held up one of the pieces of cranberry for him to take and when he put it in his mouth, and closed his eyes like the last time she had seen him eat the berry, only then did Evelyn gently pick him up and put him on the warm blanket, showing him where the other pieces were. Now, to work quickly. The cage wasn't all that bad, however, she still used a few cleaning spells that she FINALLY remembered to clean the thing. At least it was cleaner and smelled better now. And he had fresh water and food.
Looking down at Orion by her feet, seeing him chewing on the last pieces of the cranberries, however, looking suspiciously around as if he wanted to wander around, Evelyn moved to shut any doors, and made sure she watched him at all times. She didn't mind if he wandered, but she was in fact on a time limit that day. Homework! She needed to start on it, and definitely needed to find something for her set of runes that was due rather soon. But when the little niffler started wandering around, happy with a full tummy of cranberries, a smile made it's way onto her face again as she watched him. Look at the way he walked! Or...scooted. Perhaps he was doing both? His tummy was rather chubby. Teehee!
After a few minutes of inspecting all the other animals, and a few tugs at the end of her shoelaces since the light glinted across them, making them shine for just a moment, Evelyn picked him up and held him for a moment, before taking a rather shiny galleon out of her pocket and holding it up for him to see. Of course, he practically clambered for it, slightly scratching up her hand in the process, but it was still cute to see that little gleam in his eyes. BAHAHA! She should let this little guy loose in Lawson's office. He had a few shiny things in there. Definitely.
With him gnawing on the galleon, and making a weird yet adorable squeaking noise, the Slytherin placed the blanket in the back of the cage before putting him inside as well and locking the door. She would have definitely stayed longer, but she had to gooooo!
"See'ya tomorrow, Orion." she mumbled with a slow little wave and a sad smile. Psssh, maybe she could sneak him up to the castle next time. Lawson-Morgan wouldn't knoooow.

As soon as I approached Kali's cage she realized I was a muggleborn and began barking. I talked to her and gave her a treat. I hope that this calms her down a bit. She seems to really enjoy it.
After finishing her steak and drinking some water, Kali seemed in a much better mood. She came up to the front of the cage and didn't bark at me. We then started to play fetch with a little ball that I brought.
We played catch a few more times and then she decided she just wanted to chew on the ball.
Carter looked back up from his writing to see Kali had fallen asleep on top of the ball. Looks like a little baby crup wore itself out. He added that to his journal. He then looked over at Marie and smiled. "I think I wore Kali out." he whispered looking back at his little baby crup. "I
m going to head out now. I'll see you later." he added gathering his things. He then faced Kali's cage. "Have a good sleep Kali. I'll see you tomorrow." he said. He then waved 'bye' to Marie and headed out. That was quite a pleasant first visit. Hopefully little Kali remembered him tomorrow.

Marie sat there watching Carter play with Kali while Frankie finished eating his steak. It appeared as if Kali was getting along just fine with Carter. Seeing them together now she didn't know why she had been so worried. It was obvious that Carter was going to do just fine with Kali. Maybe even better than she was with Frankie.
She turned her attention back to Frankie who was just finishing eating. "Hey Frankie, was that good boy?" she asked, this time NOT putting her hand in his cage.
She looked back over at Carter, then at Kali. "Yeah, I think you're right, she does look tired." She then looked back at Frankie who did NOT look tired at all. He was now running around wagging his tail and yapping away. She would have taken him out so he could run through the nursery but she didn't have a leash or a collar for him. She would have to make sure to get those things for both Frankie and Kali before coming back. "Okay, I'll see you later." she said smiling at Carter as he left.
Looking around she needed to find something that Frankie could chew on. Hmm, what to use? Then she seen the ball Carter had given Kali. Maybe she would be able to get it out of her cage and duplicate it so Frankie could have one too. She took her wand out of its holster and pointed it at the ball, "Wingardium Leviosa!" she said as she watched the ball levitate from under Kali. Then picturing a green ball in her mind she once again pointed her wand at the ball, "Geminio!" and then there were two balls. She grabbed the green one then put the red one back in Kali's cage.
After putting her wand away she turned to Frankie. "Hey boy, look what I have for you." She then tossed the ball in for Frankie to play with. He immediatly started chewing on it. Good, it looked like he liked it.
She grabbed her journal and wrote in it some more.
SPOILER!!: Marie's Daily Journal with Frankie the Crup
Marie Salazar
3rd Year Slytherin
Day 1:
Today was my first time to see Frankie without the Professor there. He was sleeping when I first arrived at the nursery. After waking him he started to lick my hand, then he bit me. Luckily Carter brought a steak for me to give to Frankie (he's so thoughtful) which he totally loved.
I tried teaching him to sit, which he did for about 10 seconds. We will keep working on that.
Need to get a leash and a collar so Frankie can get out of cage and run around a little more. Duplicated ball Carter brought Kali so Frankie would have one to play with too. Need to get some toys for him.
She put her things away then stood up to leave. Frankie was still chewing on the ball. "See you tomorrow Frankie." She then left the nursery.
After the baby began slowing down, and tiring, Ellie stopped playing with her.
She took her in her arms and gave her a little kiss. "I'll be back tomorrow Amata." She set her back into her little pen, gathered her things, jotted down some more notes, and then left.
She had obviously come in here, to have a peeky-peek at Dexter. Gold had thought her decision out, before choosing to "adopt" the babeh clabbert, for the assignment they had been given. She knew she had an awesome abraxan to take care of; but she had had plenty of free time on her hands lately, and she was going to make the most of it.
Not having OWL's to study for, did have its advantages, after all. Even though she was now a NEWT-level student, and that should have made things tougher. Surprisingly, it didn't.
Having stepped inside, Gold looked around and immediately spotted Dexter. The babeh clabbert was sitting atop a tree that was, clearly, an artificial one. But he seemed pretty happy, to be there. Gold made a cutesy face at him from afar, before slowwlyyy making her way over to him, and reaching up. Dexter, recognizing her, scrambled down a branch to cling to her. The babeh clabbert now wrapped around her neck, Gold sat down underneath the tree, and hugged him close.
"I missed you," she said softly, placing her backpack next to herself. "You know I love you, right?" She snuggled close to him, before settling him into her lap; and, once that was done, using her free hand to take out a bowl. This, she levitated into the air, and fixated right in front of Dexter, at a height he could easily reach. Then, opening a bag of Diana's Special Baby Clabbert Feed, she quietly poured it into the bowl. This would be much, MUCH better, than letting Dexter grow up on icky lizards.
Though she knew she would have to introduce him to those, too. He wasn't always going to have someone to feed him and, that said, needed to know how to survive on his own, in the bag, bag Clabbert!world.
"Can you eat on your own, yet?" She asked, as the clabbert somewhat sniffed at the food, and then continued to cling to her. Getting no reply, other than another sniff from the babeh!creature, Gold stroked him, bringing the bowl closer. Dexter decided he wanted to eat, after all, this time round; and reached out, to take a babeh!bite. Smiling lightly, Gold set him still in her lap, not wanting to disturb his lunch.
When the bowl was nearly empty, and Dexter seemed to have tired of the food, she vanished the bowl, and let him cling cheerfully to her neck. He didn't seem too bothered, about going back to his tree; and was pretty peaceful, in the position he was in, right now. Gold utilized the peace, to take out her notebook, dip it in PINK! quill, and jot down a few notes. Then she put the book and quill away, and focused her bright, green eyes on babeh!Dexter. "I love you," she chuckled.

It had taken Arya longer than planned to finish cleaning her clabbert's cage. One cause it wasn't a kneazle cage like she had been used to cleaning so therefore had more things inside and was bigger to accommodate the small tree branches. Two because Rafiki was extremely distracting. He just wouldn't keep still. It wasn't until the sun had finished rising that the cage was completly clean and restocked.
He was growing exceedingly IMPATIENT with this new girl. All she wanted to do was mess with his home, he had been in that thing all night and just didn't see what was so facinating about it. Letting go of her neck, he climbed on to her hair. This was much more fun cause now he could SWING. He couldn't do that in his home. Nope. Swinging on her hair, Rafiki's wide red eyes flickered around at all the other creatures. Ocassionally he would lean towards the nearest cage for a closer look.
Glancing out the window and guessing at the time, she gathered all the cleaning supplies into her arms and took them back in the cabnet. Arya tried her best to keep from swinging her pionytail since Rafiki was now clinging to it but that seemed impossible. Everytime he leaned towards another creatures cage, she worried that he would jump at them or get hurt and would swing her head so that he wasn't so close. Replacing all the cleaning supplies, she washed her hands and picked up her knapsack and headed outside. "Ready to eat, Rafiki?" Like she needed to ask.
The morning sun was warm on her face as she steped out into the chilly air, tugging her jacket slightly as she open the gate to the play area. Gently pulling Rafiki off her pony tail, she placed him back on her neck and chose a nice spot in the sun. Then she pulled a blanket out of her bag, along with food for him. Arya sat on the blanket and placed Rafiki beside her while she pulled out some small insects from a jar for him to eat. "The books said that your to small to eat birds and lizards, so you get to snack on crunchy little bugs." Pulling out a few, she spread them out on the sheet and waited to see which one he would eat. She wanted to see what kind of bugs were his favorite.
Clinging to her neck, he followed her every move curious as to what game this could be. Certainly not one he had ever played before. Unlike last time, he wasn't sad when she put him down. It gave him a chance to explore the things she had on the ground. Somehow he had clumsily found his way into her bag, and was digging through it when he heard her voice again. Poking his head out, his mouth watered at the sight of the bugs. Quickly climbing out of the bag he ran over to the buffet of food, tripping the whole way. It wasn't a hard choice at all which bug he wanted to eat. Rafiki gobbled down the medium sized bug with wings, and all others with wings before eating the others.
Pulling her notebook and quill out, she scribbled a few things down as he finished eating the last of the bugs. It seemed her little baby prefered flying insects to the crawling ones. After making note of these things and everything else that they did this morning, she put the pad and quill up and packed all her other things as well. As much as she wanted to stay, she had class to attend. She stayed a few more minutes to allow Rafiki to play, giggling as she watched him try to walk on the tall grass, then she swung her bag over her shoulder, picked up the clabbert and placed him on her neck as they went back into the nursery.
Rafiki was having fun, not as much fun as he would've had climbing trees, but fun none the less. He was having a hard time walking without tripping. His legs where so long that he could'nt walk in a straight line. He had spotted a few ants and was about to pounce on them when he was lifted in the air. Noooo! They were gonna be his snack or atleast something to play with. He was sad, but the saddness passed as he clung to her neck and looked at the trees he had seen before as they made there way back into the big building.
Making her way over to his cage, she opened the door and pulled him from her neck. "Okie dokes, I have to go to class but once its done I will be back. Promise." Giving him a smile, she placed him into the cage, gave him a little insect and closed the door before leaving the nursery.

Ten minutes of snuggles later, Gold knew she had to get up, or she was going to get cramps in her legs and tummy. Or something of that sort. The sixth year gently adjusted the clingy Dexter, and rose to her feet. The clabbert chose to attach himself to her back as she did so, and Gold had to chuckle, at how amazing the little babeh was.
"I'm pretty sure you want to sleep," she chuckled, carrying Dexter back to his tree!home. But the clabbert, apparently, disagreed. Gold's eyes widened, when he refused to get off. OH! That meant he did not want to sleep. She frowned slightly, eyeing him, wondering what he could want. When he reached up to pull at a strand of her hair, however, she realized he might want to play. Strange. Babies are supposed to want sleep after food, right? But she would go with what he wanted.
Though she was going to make sure he didn't get out of hand.
She let him climb the tree, hiding behind the trunk and allowing him to peek out of the leaves, in an attempt to spot her. It was hide-and-seek, of another kind altogether. Gold siddled away, to keep herself out of his sight, but the clabbert spotted her bright, red hair, and tried to climb down and cling to her again. Gold hid again, behind a considerable amount of leaves, and let Dexter find her all over again.
But he really DID seem sleepy, by now. Maybe play was his way of quick digestion, or something? Gold was certainly finding out interesting stuff, about baby clabberts. Carrying Dexter to a peaceful spot, she settled him in, so that he could close his eyes, and catch some sleep. Which he did, pretty much at once. Close his eyes and drift off to sleep, that is. She stroked the sleeping creature, before gathering up her belongings.
"I'll be back, Dex," she told him softly, before rising to her feet. She needed to write down, what she had figured out about Dexter. And maybe later, she could clean him and his home!tree up, and feed him some lizards. Even though she didn't want to do the last part. Not that she had any problem with lizards. She just had a problem with the idea of her babeh, learning to feed on insects.
Yay! I have a quiet day, at last! Today I can stay longer with Rus..
Kate entered the nursery jumping and spinning happily. She´ve brought a large bag full of food and toys.
"Rus! how are you doing today? Look what I have!"
She said to him, showing the bag and taking out the things, one by one, and placing them on a table.
"Vegetables... Whole milk - natural and warm - ... meat – raw and cooked- … fish…fruits…” She said “and finally, some dissected liver and lung, just to try it. Ok...”
With a quick and neat movement, Kate took Rus out of the cage. Hey! I´m getting better at this...
She showed him all the food and waited for him to choose. This time, he accepted food from her and eat with gusto.
Kate took out the write-alone quill and the parchment and dictated

Rejected food:
All green vegetables

Milk (he didn´t try the natural milk; he took a sip from the warmed one and vomited it past a few seconds. I think that milk produces him stomach ache and gases)
Cooked meat
Food that drove him nuts(and jump all over the place)
Salmon filet
