The girl that Fallon was trying to talk to went to go talk to someone else without even introducing herself. "So Aaron," she said turning back to face him. "What class are you most forward to taking?"

Lettie sniffed and dabbed her eyes again, now they were all red and blotchy. "Some kid in Hufflepuff broke it." She raised her swollen, multi colored hand a little bit. It was still very sore, but thankfully not as bad as it had been.
"I was trying to be nice and make up for the way I behaved on the train, I went to shake his hand and he broke it." What else was there to say? Not much.

Aaron was finally stuffed when he finished his pumpkin juice. He looked at the girl who was reading. Ugh, well then!

"Oh. I really can't wait for flying. I didn't know anything about Quidditch 'till I met Iris, then I read Quidditch through the ages, and now i'm DYING to get on the Quidditch team. No experience or anything, but I don't care. I really want to make it! Also, it runs in my family to be bad at simple Charms, so I want to excel in that class early. What about you?"

"I'm definately looking forward to flying. My family history is full of Quidditch players. I really want to make the team. Charms seems like it will be a lot of fun though. The only class I'm really not looking forward to is Potions." Fallon was really not ready for that class. Everyone in her family had problems with that class, even her mother who excelled at everything else.

The only thing Aaron heard was 'I really want to make the team.' "Do you play Quidditch outside of school? I can't because I live in a muggle neighborhood. Even though I'm a pureblood, I've had to grow up living a muggle lifestyle. But do you? What position do you hope to get if you try out?"

Cayden stared at her as he was in small disbelief that she was telling him these things. he knew that they hadnt got along and really their was a list. Yes a list. They were really more alike then they thought which was probably a good reason why they never would of gotten along. That was without their guy factor."You know...I cant make you feel bad about what you say or what you do. You do that on your own."

He sighed just a little as he felt the insides irking to point out to the prefect princess that it wasnt about her. It was about him. Which was the point."Fine. Whatever you want." It was always about her when it came to Kayla."Do whatever you want." he told her as their was no point in talking about it further. He was upset that she was being so cold about it. As always she was upset that he gave Kayla some of his attention. He didnt feel like fighting at the moment. He just wanted to sit in a dark nice cold corner where no one would bother him. Unfortunately he was surrounded by fifty million chatter boxes. All in multicolored outfits.

"Kind of. My mom taught me a few things here and there. And at family gatherings we always have mock games. I usually play chaser or beater. Every now and then I'll play keeper. I really want to be a beater though, but either of those three positions would be fine." Fallon could talk about Quidditch all day. Most of the time it took a lot to get her to stop talking about it.

Coming back to the table with Lettie, he glances at her, seeing her head down. He puts his arm around her shoulders. "It's sad to see that we can't just assume they're all friendly. I guess we all need to be more careful..."

Gently, he says "I'll be there to help in anyway, you need."

"That's so cool! I wanna be chaser. Always doing something and the center of attention. Imagine if we both made the team. I would be flying down the field and you would be blowing the people on the other team off their brooms! It would be great! But, first years usually don't make the team," Aaron stopped and took a drink, "But I did meet the captain for Slytherin. she said she needed some new blood, so we have a chance!"

"It would be so awesome if we both made the team! I still think we have a chance though, especially if they need some new blood." Fallon was so excited about getting a chance to try out for the Quidditch team.

Aaron gave her a big smile and took another drink. Quidditch, AGH, IT WOULD BE SO COOL. as he thought that, dessert popped up in front of them. Well, time to stuff his face again...

Fallon was stuffed. As soon as she saw the desserts though her mouth began to water. She grabbed a big piece of chocolate cake and dug in.

"a kid from "Hufflepuff" did this?! " she asked and sounded amazed, she had heard from her parents that Hufflepuffs were mostly , friendly, nice, cheery, bubbly and .... she shivered a little at those thoughts. appearently times changed since her parents were here. Lyra saw a guy on the other side of her putting his arm around her shoulder and she nodded at the guy, thinking it was very nice of him to try to cheer her up.

Feeling an arm around her only seemed to squeeze more tears out. NO!
She sat up straight rather quickly and brushed her hair and tears away and off of her face. "I guess so." Lettie said quickly taking a new goblet and drinking the contents, hoping that it would calm her a little more, which it did.
Sweeping her hair behind her she continued as though nothing had happened at all, "So, you said you are trilingual? What languages to you speak?" Leticia's voice was somewhat tense, like she was waiting for something to happen.

"Yeah..." Leticia said quietly and took another sip of her drink. "I was told that they were nice, loyal, and not ones to judge others immediately." She scratched the side of her right hand where a sensation that felt like an itch had come. "Maybe the Sorting hat got it wrong with that one." And to think that SHE had apologized to HIM in Ollivander's! What a crime!

Lucy turned around as she heard the crying girl say that she thought Hufflepuffs were nice and loyal. Then she noticed the broken, swollen looking hand. She cringed a little. "Are you ok?" She asked the girl. "Maybe you need an ice pack or something."

Mariska felt guilt go slipping through her again as Cayden stared at her in a way that indicated he couldn't believe she was being this way. It only got worse when he said she was the only one who could make herself feel badly about the things she said and did; Why did he have to go and be right at the moment? It wasn't fair. And she wasn't going to admit to it now.

She knew he had shut himself off from her when he told her to do whatever she wanted in terse, clipped tones. She pressed her lips together, looking thoroughly displeased with the whole situation. This had to be a record, she thought. Not even through with the feast and they were fighting. " Fine, I'll do whatever I want." She snapped after a moment or two." Which, right about now...happens to be going over to the Ravenclaw table. I'll see you later." She said, getting up to go; if he was going to be pining for Kayla, she didn't want to be around to watch him do it.

"I'm alright...thank you." Lettie said to the girl who had turned around. "The healer has already mended it, it's just really bruised." She offered a small smile to the new face, no matter how upset she was, Leticia was always of fairly sensible mind. "I'm Lettie. Nice to meet you." Usually she would offer her hand to shake, but not now.

"Good. I think they should have token more than 25 points from Hufflepuff." Lucy said looking at orangish yellow stones in the Hufflepuff hourglass. "Nice to meet you Lettie. I'm Lucy." Lucy said giving a warm and generous smile. "So what year are you in?"

Lifting his arm right away, so she didn't get embarrassed.

"Umm, yes, I speak English obviously." he answered with a grin, "Even with the accent. But I also speak Norwegian. Which much of the language is High German. So I can understand German also.

"It doesn't matter." Leticia said and took another sip of drink. "What's done is done." She sighed and looked at her purple hand. If that didn't serve as a reminder not to be foolish, she didn't know what was. Smiling again she replied, "Nice to meet you as well, Lucy. I always liked that name. I'm a fourth year, but obviously, it's my first term coming here."
"That's neat." Lettie said as she forced herself to cheer up...no sense moping around forever. "My grandfather learned German when he was employed in the Ministry. He was an auror before he retired and became a painter and photographer. The only language I know a bit of it French, because a lot of my family is French." But there was also Austrian and Lithuanian, she would have to learn more of that later.
"I think that my brother Olivier knows some Norwegian, he always used to repeat phrases when he came home for summer." Probably making jokes....

"Thank you. I hate my name, so....old englishy." Lucy said chuckling. "I like your name, its unique." Lucy said taking a sip of her drink. "Your first term. Really? You don't seem new." Lucy said.

Smiling, about her mentioning her brother and knowing some Norwegian. Nodidng "probably, or possibly erm, swearing...the that's the most popular, unfortunately. Many people learn the swear words just to be able to say it without mom knowing what they're saying." he says with a small chuckle.

"It's fun learning a new language, that's for sure. Unfortunately mine was only for school, and I didn't have a choice of languages. French sounds like fun." he adds with an interested look on his face. "It would be nice to learn just because I want to learn it..."

Diane had made a swift disappearance from the House table, lurked in the shadows unseen by the Griffindor's table drama. But this little endeavour had proven unfruitfull seeing nothing could be done, soon she retreated back to her table. There, she contemplated some of the different... aspects of student life. This world of teens and voices overlapping together, so much different from the Home. She thought how the dark warmth of that place contrasted with this before somebody suddenly sat on the other side of her. They were some of the people involved in the argument with the strict-looking professor (ooc: Raiden? O.o), or at least she saw them in the Griffindor table while watching it take place.

This one was the sensitive kind too. Entelequia felt compelled to return the smile, but failed to before a boy of around Diane's same age addressed the group. It hadn't escaped her the notion that... well, a couple more students were concerned with what just transpired in the Griffindor table and were personally acquintanced with the moody boy of the purple eyes. It seemed she had quickly come into contact with the central pieces of this giantic chess board called Hogwarts. But that appreciation won't be a complete and truest to fact one until she met the professors, maybe that one that was mentioned before by the tall, older boy called Ott. Who, speaking of which, was coming from the front table with an injured Letti... Diane brought a hand to her temple. She should learn not to be distracted. Whatever else happened while she was lost in thought?!

"Unique?" Lettie almost laughed a little bit, "I think my name is an old English one as well, Leticia, with a 'c' or 't'. Yes, I'm very new. I was homeschooled by my family until I came here. How long have you been going here?" She asked politely.
She couldn't help but laugh this time, "Yeah, that sounds like something Olivier would do. He was always a troublemaker, even now that he's moved out." Lettie wiped away one last bit of wet from her face and gave a small sniffle. "If I could actually learn a language I wanted to learn, instead of having to, it would come a lot easier for me I think. Just because I had the choice." She considered something for a moment, "Tell you what, if you tutor me in potions when class begins, I'll teach you some French. Fair enough?"

"Home schooled? Really? What was it like? Why'd you stop and come here?" The questions just poured out of Lucy's mouth, before she could think. She was just so interested by it all. "I've been coming here since I was a 11. Just like most people." Lucy said putting some mashed potato in her mouth.
