Kevin started to eat and smiled he had forgotten how good the food at Hogwarts was and hoped that some of his friends would see him soon

"I... They..." Kiri shrugged uncertainly. "Well, they're really tall. And they wear these muggle coats, I don't know what they're called." She wondered if Hayley even believed her as she went on. "They kind of shimmer. And... They have these, err, tattoos as well. But they move."

Kiri poked her spoon into the pudding again, wondering how to continue. She remembered the flashing purple eyes, and grabbed hold of a piece of Raiden's robes below the table. He seemed so much more... real than those Gryffindor students.
"They're scary. And before the whole trouble started, they were, I dunno, talking all mysteriously about something. You know..." She lowered her voice to a whisper. "I... don't think that they're really... human." Which sounded crazy, she knew it did, quite a few wizards had special abilities after all, but something about those students just struck her as infinitely strange. But that still didn't change the fact that Kiri sounded like a character in a cheap and badly-written mystery novel.

Hayley's eyes widened, "Moving tattoos? What are teenagers doing wearing tattoos!?" She pondered this while Kiri paused briefly. What the girl said next shocked Hayley into oblivion, "What do you mean not human!?," Hayley looked around, not sure if she'd just shouted or not, as a precaution, though, she lowered her voice. "Okay, so their not human, maybe, but then what are they?" Gah! Hogwarts was soo confusing already! "Are non-humans allowed here? I mean, I know werewolves, and half-giants and what not are...aren't they? But...what other kind of "non-human" peoples can come here?" Wait...were werewolves non-human? Or were they like, still considered human...and half-giants...were they still considered human? "Wait, what is considered to be a "non-human""she asked Kiri finally. Maybe the older girl would know.

Lettie poked her sollen hand a couple of times, wondering what a bruise cream would be like. "Eww..." She suddered as the color temporarily turned ghost white and then back to purple again.

"Good, because I know enough to get you around the country at least. Have you ever been to France?" She turned and had to look up at the boy next to her...stupid height.
"Hi, nice to meet you as well." Lettie said and stopped herself from extending her hand to shake...which would have been very unpleasant for both of them. "Yes, I'm new. I've been homeschooled and I'm starting as a fourth year. Do you like Hogwarts very much?" It couldn't hurt to ask, not after the impression it had made so far.
"Kevin!" Leticia almost yelled as she spotted the younger boy limping. "What happened?" First Lettie's hand (from what she knew)...and now this. Slytherin was on a roll so far.

Kiri began to question whether it had been a good idea to tell the girl. For one thing, she wasn't quiet. Kiri didn't want to become known as a... a peddler of nonsensical claims at Hogwarts. For another, having her own words repeated back to her like that was making her wonder if she wasn't doing just that. It sounded crazy! But at the time, Kiri really had been scared.

She shrugged again. If they really weren't human, she had no idea what else they could be. Some kind of metamorphmagi? There were elves that looked human. "I don't know. I can't really give you a scientific definition of humans, either." Kiri gulped down some water. "The professors dealt with them, though. I don't think there's anything to worry about."

Jack took a seat at the Slytherin table, still looking around the Great Hall in amazement. Since he didn't know anyone there, he took some food from the table and started eating without noticing who was beside him.

Kevin looked up from his food and said "Hey Lettie i will tell you later once we get to the common room"

When Iris had finished laughing, she looked down at her plate fulle of tomatoey pasta and began to eat it.

'hi fallon," iris said to Fallon, "i'm glad your here in Slytherin. she smiled.

Watching her poke her hand causing it to change color and back to purplish, he looks sympathetically at her.

"That might help." he answers with a grin. "I've not been there, no. But it sounds like it would be beautiful, especially from pictures I've seen.

Seeingi as she is constantly having to look up to him, he asks pointing to the empty spot across from them "Do you want me to sit on the other side of the table, so you don't have to look up so much?

Aaron walked back over from the Ravenclaw table thinking,

Wow, some of the other first year girls were talking about relationships over there. They can't possibly have a relationship at their age. I mean they are only 11. Or could they? Could they have a relationship?

"i just talked to Satine. She's really happy over there. She said the sorting hat barely touched her head when it announced she would be in Ravenclaw. It was weird. Some girls were talking about relationships. I mean, we're all only 11, we couldn't possibly have relationships yet. Could we?" He looked at Iris hoping to get an answer that would help him.

"That's comforting," she said of Kiri's last words. She wasn't too worried anyway, just very very curious. And confused. She thought now would be a good time for a topic change. "Soo...this food is really good," she said lamely. Gosh, she was terrible at chit-chat...She hoped Kiri or someone could figure out something to talk about. These "non-human" Gryffies were becoming a topic of unrest...sooo...

"Err.. is it?" Kiri was a little surprised at the sudden change of topic, but not necessarily negatively so. She wanted to put the topic of purple-eyed Gryffindor non-humans behind her. And she was tired. "I... guess it is." For good measure, she downed another two spoonfuls of pudding. She wasn't really hungry, but it gave her something to do. After two years at Hogwarts, Kiri had more or less gotten used to it, but a new student might appreciate the house elves' cooking abilities more.
She pointed at the pudding bowl. "You should try some of that."

"oh I'm glas Satines OK over there, She looks happy." Iris looked at Aaron with confusion, it was a rather random topic, and pondered over his question for a moment, "I dunno - maybe, I mean my mum's always told me that no ones ever too young to fall in love..." She then bcame quite as she remembered the first time her mum had ever said that to her, she was playing truth or dare with some muggle naighbours and one of the kids dared her to kiss one of the boys, Mason... her mum had walked in on them and found it adorable - Iris didn't even like ther boy!, "Um, Why do you ask?" she said, taking another forkful of pasta.

"Hi. I'm Grace." Grace said the boy who sat next to her and smiled.

This was the exact question Aaron did NOT want her to ask him. "Um... I don't know," he lied. He was 11, right? How was he going to confess to her that he liked her? He just looked at her for a moment. Well, SAY SOMETHING!!! "It's just that. I find it weird that kids our age could fall in love already..." Well here it comes... AWKWARD MOMENT!

Hayley stared at the pudding, "Uhm, okay," she said, taking a scoop. Wow...this was getting weird...fast...

'Oh, that's right, he said he would.' "Okay." Lettie said and pushed a bowl of mashed potatos towards, Kevin. "Is the common room nice?"
Her head tilted to the side again, "I can assure you that the pictures don't do it justice. My family hasn't visited Paris more than three times, we usually visit relatives in the small towns, though they are equally as nice, if not nicer...less tourists." She winked, hoping Ott would get the picture. Tourists always seemed to clot things up and make it difficult to move and enjoy things as they really should be.

Thinking for a moment she replied, "I'm not your mother, you make your own decisions. Isn't that's what's so nice about being here? You make your own choices." Leticia made attempts to cut some of her food into pieces, but when that didn't work, she merely stabbed a large piece of meat and bit chunks off of it. The whole process was a little Stone Age, but it worked.

Kevin nodded at Lettie and said "Yeah it is very nice, i think its a home from home"

Iris smiled at Aaron, she suspected that he was hiding something, but decided it wouldn't be nice to bug him to find out if he was. "I don't find it that weird, " she laughed, "after all you can't control your true emotions, right?" she said, smiling and dirinking some juice.

"I guess so!" Aaron said in response. He decided he was NOT going to have a relationship this year. They were going to stay friends. They were only 11, what could they possibly do? He took a swig of juice. "We shouldn't even be talking about this stuff. Who cares about love in their first year?"

Iris laughed ,"apparently all the Ravenclaw First years!" she said, smiling. She was full now, and doubted that she would be able to eat anything else. "when do you think we will be able to go to our common rooms?" she asked him/.

"I don't know. But i can't wait to see the common room! It's in the dungeons under the lake, so the room has a green tint to it!" Aaron realized he already told her that. "I think I already told you that, right?" Aaron laughed at his own silliness. "I'm just so excited to see it!"

Nodding as she explains more about France. "Maybe this summer..."

Looking hurt, he shrugs. I guess maybe she doesn't feel the spark...or doesn't... his thoughts fading off.

Turning more to his food in front of him, he pours himself more pumpkin juice, and looks around. "I wonder if there are always this many first years...? There seems to be a lot this year." he adds commenting to no one particular.

Iris laughed yet again, "Yeah, you told me when I asked you about the common rooms back in Diagon Alley. I know I want to see it too - it must be amazing!" she said, sighing.

Hearing a younger student talk about where the common room is, he thinks That might become helpful. I don't really want to trail the group of 1st years to our common room...
