Hayley looked up at Natasha...apparently she'd heard both the stomach growling and the whispering to stomach to stop said growling. She grinned at Natasha. "I think I just need some sort of distraction. So, what's the common room like? And uhm, everything else?" She wanted to know more about the school.

Lyra looked up "Hey Grace!" she said cheerly and waved as she saw a girl standing next to her had aprroached and smiled "sit down sit down! how your doing?"



"thats pretty cool your aunt and grandmother teached you!, does that mean you come from a magical family?" Lyra asked and followed her stabbing motion on the empty food plate. "I forgot about Magical Creatures!" she said and slapped her forehead. "that subject would be cool too!" "i hope i can play Quidditch" she said, i'm pretty good at sitting on a broom but i never played it, i only went to games matches to watch" she said.

Zoe walked into the great hall donning a brave yet inaddiquit strut.
She didn't know a single person in the great hall but that didn't worry her, as a transfer student she figured it would only be a matter of time before friendships start to materialise.
She took a seat right at the end of the table and raised her hand half-heartedly waving to her fellow house mates nervously.
When she realised nobody was looking at her, she pretended she was itching her forehead to avoid further embarrasment.

Lyra saw that a girl was waving at the end of the table and almost immediately covered it up as if she had an itching forehead. Lyra, knowing this behaviour , because she did it too when something embarrasing happend, waved back and said "hey" , the more people she would met the merrier.

Steven walked into the Great Hall, his Slytherin robes proudly around his shoulders. He held his head high as he checked to make sure that Sarah, Alice, Bee and especially George were okay. With a small nod he cast his glance over the Slytherin table to find the other two of his three girls. Nancy was walking right next to him. He needed to find Corwyn and Paris.

Especially Paris, he had lost her the second half of the train, and he needed to make sure that she was okay.

As he walked slowly up the side of the table, he smiled at the faces he recognised and then grinned when he found Paris sitting next to Corwyn. "Girls!" He said with a grin, as he and Nancy sat down oppiste them. "Are you okay Paris?" He asked, as he winked at her over the table.

"Corwyn!" He added with a large grin. "Did you have a good summer after we saw you in Diagon Alley?" He asked as he filled his goblet with juice. He held the pitcher in the air, silently asking the three girls if they would like some in their own goblets.

"I'm fine guess. Fascinated, obviously. How about ya?" she asked, looking curiously at the people around again.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm a half blood, since both my parents are halfblooded." She took a sip of juice that thankfully had appeared for the students. "I love magical creatures, I love animals." Lettie could feel her cat's tail swatting her leg as the big cat sat down on the floor under the table. "You'd probably be better at it than me, It's more of my kind of spectators sport. I'd probably fall off or hurt someone."
Lettie looked over, "Yes, come on." She waved the other girl on, "Let's talk and have a fun first night at school." She took another sip out of her juice-filled goblet and sighed. What she would do to have a roasted duck in front of her right now. Looking around the hall she spotted a couple of others she knew at different tables, it was great that everyone seemed to get along, it wasn't right when people were lonely.

Zoe, now peering through her fingers, caught a glimps of a girl waving back at her through the corner of her eye.
She spontaneously stood up and walked over to where the girl was sitting and sat a few feet away from her.
"what am i doing" she thought, this wasn't like her, normally she is outgoing and liked meeting new people.
she shuffled up the bench slowly until she was sat right next to the girl.
"Zoe" she said with a croaky voice, "ahem" quickly clearing her throat she repeated herself "Zoe, thats my name, i'm new here" she declared looking around the hall with a sense of unease.
"Whats your name?"

"i'm good, thanks" Lyra said. "it's amazing here isn't it? well i think so" she said. "alot of new students too " she said as she saw Grace looking around with a curious expression on her face.

Nancy felt completely hyper as she, along with Steven, stepped into the Great Hall. It always made her feel that way, even though, she was starting her fourth year at Hogwarts now so she should have gotten used to the Start-of-Term-Feast-feeling already but no, she still felt the same way she had when walking through these doors the first time. The new term had finally started. Yay!

After the rather confusing encounter with Theo they had somehow lost Paris on the train, so, of course, Steven's eyes were already scanning the hall in search for his girlfriend. Okay, so she hopefully was somewhere at the Slytherin table otherwise they would miss the feast because they would have to look for her. Phew! Okay, she was there. Along with Corwyn, the girl they'd met at Diagon Alley. And Theo was there too, although he wasn't sitting with the two girls which meant that whatever was going on between him and Paris they apparently still hadn't talked properly about it. It's none of your business, Nancy, none of your business...

With a grin plastered across her face she and Steven walked over to the girls sitting at the Slytherin table and quickly took a seat opposite of them. "Hey there." Nancy greeted the Corwyn and Paris with a smile before leaning forward slightly her face rather serious now and whispered towards Paris, "You okay? We somehow lost you on the train. Everything alright?" Well, they hadn't exactly lost her, she'd just disappeared but whatever...

Zoe noticed another young lady who was with the girl she had just introduced herself to.
"A fun first night?" Zoe replied
"I'd be up for that" she said with a smirk
"What did you have inmind? I'm Zoe by the way"

Lettie let out a small laugh, "Nothing bad, silly. I'm not a troublemaker like, Lyra...she's the sneaky one." Leticia said with a wink to the other girl, letting her know that she was kidding. "I only meant have a good time at the feast, talk, get to know each other, goof off, that sort of thing." She smiled as her cat, Ornlu jumped onto her lap and kept low.
Leticia extended her hand, "I'm Lettie Dubois." She said politely, "Nice to meet you, Zoe. Excited to start school?"

Lyra noticed that the girl who she just had waved too was getting up and sitting down a few feet away from her. Lyra smiled a little to herself and then saw the girl shuffeling with a new look on her face, it was as though she was thinking. Lyra could barely hear her at the first time but when she cleared her throat she heard her and said "Hey Zoe, I'm Lyra Riddle and i'm new here too" she looked at the girl sitting next to her. "you don't really look like a first year" she said "more like a fourth , maybe fifth year" this did not surprise her at all seeing that she had met another fourth year today and she also had said that this was her first year here but she wasn't a first year.

"Ooooooooooooh" Zoe replied rolling her eyes. "well, that sounds like fun all the same"
"well" she continued "Nice to meet you Lettie, I'm very excited about school starting" rubbing her hands together hungrily.
"so, do you know many people here?" Zoe enquired

Jude rubbed his stomach, his feet twitching up and down against the cold, hard floor, waiting eagerly for the opening speech to happen so they could eat.

The poor boy felt like he hadn't eaten in ages, tho in reality it was only a few hours. He looked around, trying to get his mind off his growling stomach, for anyone he might know to talk to. Unfortunately, he wasn't much acquainted with any of these Slytherins around him.

Leticia nodded a tiny bit. "I know a few people." She lifted her hand so that she could count out, "I know, Chalice, she's from Gryffindor. I know Christopher, he's also from Gryffindor, and Daniel from Gryffindor." She thought for a moment as she remembered people in Diagon Alley and the train, "And there's Clark, from Ravenclaw, Ricco from Hufflepuff who broke my hand, Lyra, who you know, Kevin and Samantha and erm, hmm, oh yes! I know two Ravens...they're from Slytherin." Leticia nodded her head as she became proud of herself for remembering people.
Looking some more at the girl she realized something, "You aren't a first year." She said, more of a statement than an actual question. "Me neither, I'm starting in fourth."

"Lovely to meet you Lyra" zoe said with a smile "I'm not a first year" she concurred "I'm a fourth year but i have only just transferred to this school this term, its a long story" she concluded.
"Well, it looks like we're both new here" Said Zoe raising her eyebrows.
"Have you met any other interesting people here?" Zoe asked, all the while fiddling with her fork.

Hayley looked at the boy sitting across from her. He looked just as hungry as she felt. Her stomach grumbled again at the thought of hunger...because it made her think of food...drat. She decided to take her mind off of it. "Hi," she said to the boy, "I'm Hayley." She stretched her hand across the table to shake his hand.

"You know a lot of people for a starting fourth year" Said Zoe with a look of surprise on her face.
"I'm also a starting fourth year but its a long and miserable story so i won't bore you with the details" Zoe was now talking to the table playing with a fork.
"I might tell you sometime" she said looking up quickly "But just not now" lowering her glance again.
"Where did you transfer from?" She asked shaking her head as though she was trying to forget something on purpose.

Jude was off in his own little zone and nearly jumped at the sudden introduction. He smiled at the girl, and shook her hand, "I's noice ta meet ya, Hayleh, Oi'm Jude..." he said with his smile fading slightly as he heard his stomach growl again. "Oi can' wai' fer de speech ta be givun, cuz then we ge' ta eat, an' Oi'm a very 'ungreh kid roight now..." he said, and then stopped before he started his ramblings like usual.

"well i haven't met alot of people yet, 3 Ravenclaws in an compartment but i didn't really talk with them, a fifth year Slytherin , another first year Slytherin i met in the train called Grace" she pointed at the girl sitting next to her who still looked around curiously and laughed a little. "she's cool" and i just met Lettie over here , and you of course" she added. " How about you?" Lyra too had picked up her knife and fork and began pinching her plate as if it would appear when she did that.

Lucy blushed slightly as Skyler corrected her about what year she was in. "I'm sorry." She said. "I make mistakes about that kind of stuff all the time." She said laughing.

Hayley smiled...for once she wasn't the one who was startled. "Hey Jude. I know what you mean, I'm hungry too! I feel like I haven't eaten since dinosaurs walked the earth! When do you think they're going to do the speech?" Hayley was getting rather impatient...she wished they'd at least have some bread or something on the table so that they could nom something to stave off the hunger pangs. "So, what year are you?"

Nodding at the two girls she had just met "You two" Zoe replied.
"You're the first two people i have met, i fell asleep on the train so i didn't really speak to anyone" Zoe answered shrugging her shoulders. Zoe laughed "I guess i should have tried to stay awake eh?"

"You won't bore me." Lettie said with a bit of a surprised look, yet decided not to push the issue. "Oh, I transferred from home, my aunt and grandmother schooled me. My poor mother had enough of me every other hour of the day." She smiled politely, "What are you looking forward to this year? Anything in particular you want to learn or are interested in?"
