Ross walked into the common room after the nice feast that he had and spotted a space on the chair so he walked over to it and took a seat and started to whistle a tune to himself.

"Awesome. Stone is a really cool last name. It goes along with Ella perfectly, actually. Well, I'm off to bed...see you guys tomorrow!!" Emalyn waved goodbye to Vannah and her friends and got up.


Emalyn started toward the girl's dormitory, only to spot a boy whistling to himself. She smiled slightly at him, for she sort of recognized the quick little tune. She headed toward the dorm now.
But, as her clumsiness almost always gets the best of her, she tripped on an over-turned rug and fell flat on her face.
How embarrasing. She was mentally hitting herself in the head once again.

Ross heard a crash and notised that a first year had fallen over "Poor lass" he said quietly. Walking over to he now overturned girl he outstreatched his hand to help her up and said "Its ok, im sure loads ofpeople do that"

"Thanks," Emalyn said, taking the boy's hand and pulling herself up. "How many times have you done it, then? And even if you have, I'm sure it wasn't on your first day." Ema grimaced, straightening herself out and bending down to rub her aching knee.

"Well i had a more interesting first day .... i neirly got expelled for doing something i shouldnt" He said as he started to wipe some of the dust off of her clothes.

"Wow, really?!" Emalyn didn't feel so embarrased anymore. "I didn't think it was possible to be expelled that soon...I'm Emalyn by the way...Emalyn Daniels."

My name is Christine. I'm a first year, but I will be 13 in two weeks Christine said with a smile. I hope first years do get to play. I would love to make the house team.


Christine looked over to the side and saw someone sitting down reading the same book she had been reading a few minutes before. That must be Punz, the quidditch captain Christine thought. Christine walked over to the armchair. Excuse me. I heard you were the Hufflepuff quidditch captain. My name is Christine and I would love to try out for the team. I'm a first year though, and someone told me that first years can't make the team. Is that true? Christine asked is a scared voice. She hoped it wasn't, she really wanted to make the house team and show everyone what she could do.

She shook her head at Ella and said, "You lobbed it at me out of nowhere. I didn't catch it in my mouth 'cause I was surprised." She chuckled. "Just as long as you don't throw oranges I'm fine."

She raised her brow at Penny and said, "big one? what are you talking about?" She was going to know. She smirked and waited for an explanation of what happened. She then nodded at her and said, "okay, let's go."

"Oops!" Penny said and covered her mouth with her hands and giggled. Penny looked at Mads with wide eyes then at Lima. "I promised not to say anything." she said. She turn to follow Lima when she said lets go. "Yes ma'am." Penny told Lima with a salute.

Ella walked into the common room and stared at the fire, while sitting down in a huge armchair with a soft little Flump. She looked around at all the people who were also in the common room, and took a go at conversation. "Hi," said Ella to a girl, most likely a first year. "My name's Ella DeParra."

Hum? Is someone talking to me? Rapunzel looked up from her book and a blinked for a moment, surprised to see a younger girl addressing her. "Why HELLLLLO there!" she exclaimed brightly, snapping her book shut and bouncing a little on the couch.

"Ah, just the question I was looking for," she said after listening to the firstie. "And that is absolutely NOT TRUE," Punz added loudly, making sure she projected her voice so any other confused first year could hear her. "As a matter of fact, you're never too old OR too young to try out for Quidditch! Why, I was on the team in my first year, and look at me now!" she beamed incredibly widely - hopefully her enthusiasm hadn't....er....frightened the girl....

She sighed. "It's not fair. I want to know. You can't not tell me now." She then got up and said, "Come with me," then she started to walk towards where the Dorms were.

Penny shook her head. "I cant tell you. Ask Mads." she said and followed Lima to the dorms.

"Well,t hat wonderful news." she told her and was happy for Penny who seemed to be fitting in pretty good. MJ smiled at her as she pointed to guy she did not know but she knew he was a year younger than herself she smiled. "It's always good to know someone." she said and listened to her and the others talk she smiled at Lima and Penny as they prepared to leave. "Have fun." she told them.

Misty was still fast asleep, and she began to move kicking MJ in the stomach by accident.

MJ felt something soft kick her in the stomach and she smiled. Misty was dreaming, and it seemed to be good. She knew when Misty kicked in her dreams and in real life she was having a good one.

Penny smiled. "Yeah it is always nice. Oh I will." she said with a smile and waved as she followed Lima.

Miranda was momentarily distracted by the yellow fluff Sarah had just taken out of her bag.
"um...'' she mentally shook herself ''oh really? Because a map would be awsome! Btw do you know who our head of house is?" Miranda grimaced feeling a little stupid for asking that. ''I've been up at the headmistress office, you know with the big gargoyle at the entrace. I just wanted to see how big it was'' she grinned ''oh and i saw the entrance to the kitchens too! im planning on going there if i ever feel the need for some chocolate cake hehe'' Gazing at the yellowfluffball she asked ''gosh what is that cute little thing?'' she smiled at it ''how about you, have you seen any interesting things so far?''

Really? That's great Christine said with a lot of excitement in her voice. Punz just made her year with this informations. I'm so glad I can try out. I am wickedly good with a bat and I can't wait until tryouts to show you what I can do. A huge smile spread across Christine's face. The one thing what Christine was really good at was sports. She learned how to play them easily, and quickly became one of the best on which ever team she was on.

Rapunzel grinned at the girl. "I'm excited to see what new talent we've got - Hufflepuff is the best house, y'know." She continued smiling, and raised an eyebrow with the firstie mentioned bats. "You like...er...hitting things, do you?" Punz winked. "Maybe you could try out for Beater - we just had one of our best graduate last term, sadly enough." She tapped her chin with one finger, wondering if this girl could possibly hit them bludgers (and people) the way Tancred had when she realized she didn't even know her name.

"What's your name, by the way? I'm Rapunzel Ariel Black, er, in case you hadn't heard already." Tee hee.

Curt smiled as Naya was taking to Vannah extremely well. Then, of course, the skittish little kitten spotted Tiger in the backround and started to retreat. She had a tough life since she was born, it must’ve been natural for her to be like this. “Yeah, she scares pretty easily. I’m actually pretty surprised she even let you pet her, took me like a week to get that far.” He said with a sly smile. He knew Savannah was great with animals, and her handling Naya really proved it.

Eyebrows perking up as Vannah had something to tell him, he nodded as she gave a full explanation. Feeling a lot more relieved now, he smiled. “Ok good.” He said with a laugh, “We still need to get Alexis back somehow. I know she means everything well, but she’s had it coming to her since third year.” He said with an eyebrow propped, it was definite.

Curt’s eyes widened as Lima said car crash, wow. Curt had come from a extremely wizard oriented family, and cars were never an issue with his family. Car crash was almost a foreign word to him, but he knew what it was and it sounded extremely tragic. “I’m so, so sorry Lima.” He said again, hoping and knowing that she was gonna be alright.

Laughing at her next comment, Curt nodded his head and looked over right in time as Punzie came into the room. She was of course, as happy and as giggly as ever; plus maybe even more so than usual. “I definitely agree.” He said with a chuckle. Grinning widely, Curt nodded his head in appreciation now that Lima claimed that she was trying out. “Awesome!” he said, excitedly. If there was one person that was even close to Punzel in anticipation of this Quidditch season, it was Curt. “I can’t wait, our team is going to be so good this year. I know we say this every year, but really, we are winning the cup.” He said robotically, he was thirsting to get back on the pitch.

Curt nodded at Maddox, good idea indeed. “Ah, good thinking.” He said with a grin. Curt never even touched a scoop of Floreans this year, or Diagon Ally at all. “I didn’t even make it down to Diagon Ally last summer. I was in Godric’s Hollow moving my brother and his wife into their new house.” He said with a shrug, he had a ton of fun with his family whom he rarely got to see, but he missed all of his friends a lot.

Curt heard Punzie introducing herself in the backround, and of course, the talk of Quidditch. He spun around and automatically jumped into the conversation… he simply couldn’t help himself. “Hey Punzle.” He said cheerily, it was nice to be reunited with everyone back at Hogwarts. “Looks like we are going to have a great team this year, seems like everyone is trying out.” He said with a nod, looking to the girl she was with, didn’t catch her name though.

Curt put out a hand, “I’m Curt by the way.” He said with a smug grin.

Hi I'm Christine, the future new beater to the Hufflepuff house team Christine said and then winked. I played a lot of baseball at home. I'm a pro at whacking a ball with a bat. Christine turned towards the guy who introduced himself. A smile came across her face when she got a good look at him. She took his hand in hers and shook it. It's nice to meet you Curt. Are you on the house team also?

Curt smiled at the girls confidence, that was always a good think to have on the team. Overconfidence could sometimes be a problem, but this girl seemed like she had a happy balance. “Pleasure to meet you as well.” He said with a nod, giving Punzle a sideways look about the team, he grinned back to Christine. “Yes I am. I’m a Keeper at heart, but I’m a pretty good seeker too.” He said with a definite nod. Stereotipically, he was a pit too tall to be a seeker, and probably wouldn’t make it on the pro’s as one. But he was quick and had great reach, that helped for sure.

So Curt could play seeker and keeper. He must be a great athlete. He did look quiet athletic. If Christine made the team, she was definitely going to ask him for pointers. You must be very talented Christine told him with a playful smirk on her face.

Curt smiled at the young girl, she reminded him a lot of what he was like when he was in his first year. Determined, ambitious, confident; it was all pretty amusing to him. “I don’t know if I would go as far as talented. I’m the youngest of seven siblings so I’m really determined, and I work hard.” He said with a shrug, he really all was the basis of his success. “I’m assuming you’ve played some previous to Hogwarts?” he asked with a grin, she seemed to known a lot about the game.

"Christine, pleasure to meet you," Punz smiled at the girl. "Baseball is great practice for Quidditch, it really is - I even played T-Ball once with my Squib father." She couldn't help but wince a little at the experience...yeah, that was an interesting time...before she knew anything about the wizard world, of course.

Ahh, and there was Curt Diggory! One of Hufflepuff's star players in the past - and hopefully this term too. Good for him to meet a firstie.

Rapunzel was still (literally) bouncing on her chair when Curt wandered over. "Hiya, bud!" she greeted him cheerfully, happy to hear his comment about the team.

"Are they now?" she rasied a brow. "Everyone needs to try out - no, as a matter of fact, everyone MUST tryout! Wouldn't that be wonderful - to find some hidden Quidditch talent right here in our House?!" Oh she was getting excited by the prospect of it.

And then Punz decided that this was the perfect opportunity to advertise Quidditch, right then and there. She stood up suddenly on the plaid armchair, balancing herself carefully as she tried to avoid bouncing Nacho off the seat cushion. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted across the common room,

"SIGN UP FOR QUIDDITCH!!!!! SIGN UP TODAAY! EVERYONE MUST/CAN/SHOULD TRY OUT! SIGN UP TODAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!"

Well if that didn't get their attention, she didn't know what would. Next she'd have to try a batch of WWW fireworks spelling out the date, time, and location of tryouts....

"I heard that, by the way," Rapunzel added with a wink to Curt. "And I think you should try out for Seeker anyways...it's a much more demanding position than one would think. And I KNOW you can handle it."

"YOu should be always alert with me around, Lima.." Ella winked and laughed. "You can try on me something..i wont mind" she declared as giving her a hug, "Oranges?? my goodness..I'll try with it next time."




"Thank you..I heard of it often.." she nodded and waved to her as she said goodbye..to them, "Good night, Ema."

But a loud noise distracted her and made her literally jumped off from the couch. Oh..Jeez! waht is going on? She noticed that Zel was the one, shouting about Quidditch sign up.

Ella got up from the couch, picked Zel around her waist from her behind, put her on the couch, said, " Stop shouting Captain!!!" she stuck out her tongue to her, "Or I'll put the silence spell..which one you prefer.?" she raised an eyebrow playfully.
