Sorry?! He was sorry?!!?! I didn't think that was possible, Rapunzel thought, slowly raising her eyes from the floor to meet his. Surely he's just being sarcastic....

But no, he was actually behaving somewhat....normally, considering how awkward the situation was. And what else could she say? "You're uh, welcome. So. Congrats on making the ttt---"

Punz was unable to finish her sentence just then though, as she was cut off from all air when one of her new firsties tackleglomped her to death. "Er, yyyou're welcooome, yaa earned ittt!" she tried to squeak. At last Miranda released the Cap'n and Punz gasped for air, trying to recover a shard of her dignity.

"Heh...heehee..." she chuckled, clutching at her side. "That's not a bbad idea, ya know," Punz added slowly, taking a deep breath. "Maybe someone who didn't make the team would still be willing to cheer us on like that...."

The news were still in her head, and a smirk was on her face the whole time she'd walked down to the Common Room. As soon as she stepped inside her book fell on the floor, what a great opportunity to practice that charm Professor Hawkins had told them to practice.

She didn't had to bend over to get the book, Kaika simply said "Wingardium leviosa" and the book floated in the air, it was good she'd practice a lot during her second year, otherwise the book wouldn't have floated so high.

As the book reached the high she wanted to, she grabbed it and placed it in her bag. She gasped.

"RAPUNZEEELL!!!!" she practically screamed as she ran towards her Captain, as she can officially call her Captain, "Thank you so MUCH!!" she exclaimed, almost squeezing the blonde girl. She was sooo happy she wasn't seeking this term, and she'd finally made the team, not as a reserve, she'd have to write her grandpa about that, for she needed him to buy her a bat.

"Thanks so much for not making me Seeker" she chuckled, and noticed the boy she'd met once in the pathways, the new Seeker. "Hey, congratulations!" she smiled as she looked at Dominic, "Now I have the bludgers under my control...you should probably watch your back" she joked.

Miranda watched as Pheonix sat down, dumping all her stuff on the table. That reminded her, she needed to do some homework, and soon. She cringed.

"Yeah i'm a first year" she said smiling. She noticed how Pheonix had read the title of the book she was reading and suddenly tossed her hair infront of half her face. Miranda shrugged Must be some kind of fashion... she thought Or maybe she's shy? " You like quidditch? " she asked grinning. Miranda then squinted as she saw something...what was that? "Oh you got something there!" Miranda said as she leaned forward and took out a small feather from her hair. She grinned. That reminded her too, she needed to send a letter home soon

None of the students seemed to have any questions for her at the moment, and there appeared to be a bit of a commotion that she didn't have the energy to get involved with, so she let them know, "Well, if anything comes up that you'd like to discuss with me, my office is located on the second floor and my door is almost always open. Good luck this term and let's teach those other houses not to mess with Hufflepuff!"

Macadrian smiled and made her exit from the common room.

MJ blushed when Penny repeated what she had told her out loud. She didn't mind that Penny was being an amazing caring friend but she didn't want her to worry. She had made a promise to herself this year that she would help her friends and take care of them instead of the other way around like it usually was. MJ nodded. "Yeah, little things." she said and then smiled. "It's okay, I'm glad you care. I mean usually I feel loved and cared but since I came back and I haven't seen Taylor, Beck, or even Vince." she stopped herself and blushed as she mentioned his name. She looked down and continue to talk hoping Penny had not noticed the sudden blush that had occurred when she had said his name out loud.

As Penny told her that she didn't mean to be nosey MJ gave her a hug. "You are not nosey." she told her and nodded. "I have tried a gum, but it was given to me by a friend and I don't think it had sugar, in the packet it said sugar free." she told her making a face. Sugar free candy was not candy in her opinion.

Sugar to MJ was the best thing in the world. She had remember her second year when the Potion's Professor had them make a special potion that made everyone in the class very energetic except an old friend who had the opposite affect. As she thought about she nodded. "I think I will see if I can find some gum." she said with smile. "I know and thank you for that, same with you." she told her

MJ smiled as Penny said she liked Misty too. "Oui, Yes!" she told her and laughed. "If not she wouldn't have warned you about the prank." she said and looked at Misty who was looking around to see if she saw someone who she could play with for a bit. "I'm not sure, I wasn't here when it occured but from what I heard from Misty and from some friends he didn't even realize that he sat on her. Didn't apologize either."

As Penny began to look inside of her back MJ curiously looked at her wondering what she was doing. Suddenly when Penny came back and took out what appeared to be sugar, she smiled. "Thanks Penny!" she said with a hug. As Penny handed the the lollipops and the pack of gum to MJ, MJ smiled. She loved sugar and wondered what flavor this was.

She took off the raper of the lollipop and smiled as she put it in her mouth. Her eyes were wide as she discovered it was strawbery filled flavor. She took it out of her mouth and thanked her once more. "I love strawberrys!" she said with a smile putting it back in her mouth and heard the professor talk once more. "I will be right back Penny." she told her quickly and went towards the professor maybe she would be able to help her.



MJ took in a deep breath and before she reached the professor she took out her lollipop and put it bck in the wrapper hoping it would still be good or later. She really needed to talk to someone and as she reached the professor she was scared. In hermind the words she wanted to say to her played "Excuse me Professor I was wondering if I could talk to you about something."

Her small voice was shaky and low Showing that she was scared but she wanted help. Hopefully she will be able to help me she thought but as soon as she was getting close she heard the Professor talk once more.


She sighed. Had she missed a chance to get better? Maybe I should go to her office later and talk to her, it would probably be better, and a bit more private right? she wondered

While still looking up at the ceiling Christine heard someone ask her a question. I'm just a little frustrated with myself. I really wanted to make the house team, but I was so nervous that I did pretty bad. Oh, and I'm Christine by the way.


While Christine was starring at the ceiling she heard a familiar voice talking about being invisible. She turned to see Punz getting up quickly from Dominic's lap. Christine lightly chuckled. It seemed like girls were always tripping, falling, or bumping into Dominic. She was tempted to go and say something to Dominic but didn't know if he was still in his rudeness mode. She decided to go and make nice with him. She turned in her chair to completely face him and said Hey Dominic. I heard you made the house team. Congrats. You were really good at tryouts.

Charlotte walked into the common room and took a look around. There were a few people who looked to be about her age but she decided to wait for the right moment before introducing herself. She didn't want to interrupt.

So instead she sat down on the couch and waited for the opportune moment.

As Misty was walking around she saw a familiar face and jumped up and down. It was Charlotte Freya's friend. She quickly went into the girls common room and into MJ's bed taking out the latest mail. She then quickly ran back to the common room with Freya's letter and she tripped and rolled over to Charlotte. She then raised her head and felt dizzy. She raised the letter and then she allowed her head to hit the floor.

Dominic twirled around in his chair slightly as he heard a rather bubbly voice approach him and Rapunzel. It was a familiar looking first girl whom he was sure was at tryouts... maybe even made the team, though he wasn't really too sure. "Hey thanks! I'm really excited! That snitch is mineeee!" he told her, winking as he watched her attack Rapunzel in a hug.

Oh; so she HAD made the team... Blinking, he tried to figure out perhaps what position she would be playing, but was at loss. "Er... congratulations to you too. What position are you?" Yea ... smooth, Dominic! You don't even know her name... "Right, sorry... er, Dominic Denton, fourth year," the hufflepuff informed her, sorta new at this introduction thing. Oops.


Turning back from the nameless first year, Dominic's eyes met those of Rapunzel's as she was polite right back to him! Wow! Maybe this nice thing wasn't that bad? Nah... arrogance was more fun though... heh.

"Thank you..." he said again, quietly, even though she was interrupted by the attack of the first year. "It... well, it means... thanks." Gulp!!



And there enters yet another female!! Merlin; where was that Seth guy or Curt when he needed them? Back up boys! Even if Seth was a prefect, he was still better than hanging around with all these girrrrrllllssss...

... oh wait, wasn't that? Ah, yes... Canaries! It was the girl from the pathways, whom he didn't know her name but apparently she too played quidditch. "Thanks, er you too," Dominic replied, looking at her and then frowned at her comment. "I believe the rule is that you're supposed to take out the other team's seeker, not your own." 'Course that was just a guess on his part, but whatever...


And then there was Christine. Turning again in his chair to look at her, he chewed subconsciously on his inner cheek when she spoke to him. "Hi. Er yes, I've made seeker... thank you," he told her, feeling bad cause she only made the reserve list. "You made reserves, right? Congrats... it's better than nothing, right?"

Her eyebrow was raised slightly, but returned to normal, "Thank you!" she said, "For saying thanks, I mean" if that even made sense. Quidditch certainly gave her plently of energy but not necessarily a clear mind to think, which could be annoying since nonsense and randomness could be taken to a higher level.

He probably didn't mean to be funny, but she laughed at the last comment, "Of course, those are the rules" one she had to remember in times of a game, "But that doesn't count for practices...unless..." she started to say as she pretended to think of what to say next, "...well, someone forbids me to" and the only one that could do so would be the Captain, and probably Prof. Vindictus, because he was still scary.

Dominic watched the girl as she too seemed surprised by his sudden moment of appreciation; he can be polite... sometimes. Chewing his lower lip thoughtfully, he really had no clue what to say back to that, so he said nothing at all.

And then she laughed at his comment about taking out the seeker and corrected him. Quite mistakenly though. "You wouldn't risk taking out the seeker during a practice though, would you?" he eyed her skeptically, raising one brow. "Besides, I don't believe they are official rules, rather one in the Beater's Bible. Isn't it like forbidden or something to deliberately hit another player?" Dominic asked, surprising himself even with how much he knew. One thing he didn't know was this girl's name...

"Er... by the way, I guess now is like the time where I should ask you for your name?" Teammates or something; good idea to know the other player's names. "Right.. um, I'm Dominic, if you didn't know."

Noooooo! How dare he? Actually, how did he know soooo much about Quidditch? Her face turned serious as he spoke about the Beater's Bible and stuff, but either way, no one knew if the bludger was directed at him intentionally. Good thing she didn't comment that out loud, Rapunzel could get suspicious.

"That's not fair!" she said, narrowing her eyes just a bit, maybe he didn't know that she followed the rules as much as she could, unless her mental health was endangered somehow, "Well, either way, watch it" she said, "Just as you have to watch your back at games...do that on practices as well" he couldn't wash away the happiness she felt about not being a Seeker.

Names? Right, because she had a name. She listened as he said his name, "Oh, no, I know who you are, I listen to tryouts" she nodded with a smile, maybe she should stop listening to tryouts and actually focusing even more. Oh! She still had to send her grandpa a letter, but she'd do that later. Her eyes went to the fireplace and then to him again, "Oh...I'm Kaika, Kaika Lockhart" she said, nicely enough, "Glad to officially meet you, Dominic".

Miranda turned to Dominic as he said something about the snitch "Mhm" she said grinning and nodding, what position? Oh wow i have a position now "I got chaser!" she said smiling proudly and puffing her chest out rather exaggerated, holding her breath. After a moment she let the gust of wind out. "Oh, hello Dominic" she smiled. Aha! she knew his name had something like a D in it... "'Im Miranda BelCanto" she grinned at the boy

She saw Kaika there too, this was going to be an awsome term, i tell you! She felt like she was in idolizing heaven. They were older than her, and so they must be looked up...upon...or something. "Hey Kaika!" she grinned, her face was starting to hurt, but how could she not express her excitement...even if it was a bit annoying.

Her face fell and turned to look at the somewhat uncomfortable faces of her new qudditch captain and the Hufflepuff boy. Uh oh... "Oh im sorry," she said grimacing "I didn't mean to interrupt your love-, erm, i mean..." Oh noes! "I hope im not disturbing something" Ofcourse your'e interrupting something! She remembered her mother telling her something about how akward firsts love can be, and clearly she was in the middle of the akward...thingy... "Uuuuum..." Shut up and get away now! she let out a stupid looking smile, made a squeaky noise and sort of froze on the spot.

'Thanks.' said Pheonix taking the feather from Miranda and squinting at it. 'I was up in the Owlery earlier, this is one of my owl, Saphira's feathers.' she explained, tucking it back into her hair, just behind her ear. 'Yeah, I like Quidditch, my dad and Uncle Sam used to take me to matches all the time, before...' Pheonix trailed off, not sure if she could trust Miranda with her secret just yet. So she was a first year, phew! Pheonix was sick of meeting second year or above Huffies. She saw Miranda glance at her exercise book and cringe, realising that she thought it was homework. 'Its not homework, its a hobby of mine, writing stories.' she said.

Christine chuckled. She didn't even make the reserves list. Pitiful Christine, pitiful. Christine replied to Dominic in a joking manner. The only way I will be playing quidditch this semester is if the entire team come down with spattergoit Christine told him and then smirked.

Ali wanted to hug the girl who called herself Christine, but she wondered if she really should. She hugged her anyways, hoping it would make her feel better. "Maybe you'll make it next year. I'm sure that if you werent nervous you would've been great. So look at it this way, they've lost the chance to have a great person on the team."

Penny listened as MJ talked about the little things. “Hey what are friends for.” She said with a smile. Penny listened as she went talking. She thought for a second when MJ mentioned three names. “I don’t know any of those people.” Penny said. Penny noticed the little blush but she was not going to aske MJ about it. MJ can tell her when she is ready.

Penny hugged MJ back. “Ok. It just felt like I was.” She told her friend. Then Penny cringed at the mention of sugar free gum. “Eww. That stuff is nasty.” She said. How could anyone chew sugar free gum was beyond her. Penny smiled at MJ. “Thanks. It is hard coming to a different school thinking that you don’t know anyone. Then on the train you run into an old friend. It is nice to have someone there.” She said. Penny was still not ready to talk about a certain guy that had taken her heart and never gave it back.

Penny giggled when MJ laughed. “That is good then huh?” she said with a smile. Penny turned to watch Misty wander through the common room. “He sat on her? And then he did not apology. That was rude of him.” She said. Poor Misty.

Penny laughed when MJ saw the sugar. She hugged MJ back. “You are welcome.” She said. Penny watched as MJ took the lollipop and pulled the wrapper off. She laughed when exclaimed that she loved strawberrys. “I know I do to. The lollipops have been a big help.” She said with a smile. Penny nodded when MJ started to walk towards the Professor. “I will be right here.” She said and pulled out some parchment and started to write a letter to Pax.

Kayla raised an eyebrow at Eva, so she was hiding something from her. "Well if you say so Eva but I'm always here if you need me to help you tell Sebastian and of course I can talk to Jared as well" she added a little slyly.

"No!" Eva repeated, not answering to Tamzin's words. She stood up just to sat down again on the small couch.
"Okay, you can stop! Both of you." she paused with a sigh. She covered her face with her hands and looked at the floor.
"Kayla, you won't talk to Jared because he has nothing to tell you." she said in a low voice.

Facing her friend again, she continued:
"Nothing happenned between me and Jared." Now, the questions, please. A little voice in her mind whispered.

Ray entered the common room after a long class. His head was just spinning around and all he wanted was to try and have some rest. Choosing the closest chair to him, he sat and placed his face between his hands and breathed slowly. He placed one of his hands in his interior pocket and pulled his cat out. Hermy was whiter than usual and that surprised Ray as white dust started to fall on his laps.
"Hermy where have you been?" Ray asked his cat, "Hope you weren't chasing something that would have hurt you!"
Hermy had this habit of chasing magical creatures that are usual tougher than she was. He placed her on the floor and conjured a disk full of milk and offered it to her.
He looked around trying to find someone he knew but with no sucess

Milk. Something Missy was very fond of. Probably also the one thing made her move from her spot on the couch.

When Eva looked around, she noticed a boy about her own age, that seemed to be everything less alright. She watched him as he took a cat from his pocket. The poor cat is white, she thought. That made her wondering where Missy... Nevermind, she thought as she saw her down cat resting lazyly on the couch.

She blinked as she saw Missy heading to the plate full of milk that wasn't for her.
"Missy! Come here." she called seeing the orange cat each time closer from the milk. "Missy. That's not yours." Like usually, Missy didn't obey. "Hey you! Lady Lazyness. Stop immediately."
The fourteen year old girl didn't know how to deal with cats. She saw no other option than to stood up and pull her cat to her lap. She turned to the boy, owner of the other cat:
"I'm sorry. She's not...trained to obeyd... yet." she said with an ashamed expression.

Missy, angry because her owner decided to pull her away from milk, she began scratching Eva.

Ray watched as a girl about his age followed her cat as she called Missy and Missy all over again and the orange cat just kept on going, till she reached Hermy's plate of milk. But the girl quickly pulled her back and held the orange cat in her arms and apologized to Ray.
"Oh don't worry about it" Ray replied as he looked at the cat scratching the girl. "Please let her share Hermy's plate... Please!!" Ray insisted.

Feeling the cat scratching her, Eva placed Missy on the ground again.
"There's no need to do that, Missy has to learn..." and the cat kept insisting. Eva sighed.
"Stop now!" the order was given in a harsh tone of voice, something so un-her.It was the first time she had ever talked to Missy like that and, for her surprise, Missy stopped. She was now looking at Eva like if she didn't understand what was going on.

Eva blinked.
"it worked. it really worked." she was amazed. "God, if I knew it earlier..." it would have saved a lot of troubles.
She looked at the boy, realizing he had been watching. Her face turned to a bright tone of red when she introduced herself.
"I'm sorry for Missy." she paused. "I'm Eva Longwood, by the way."

Ray watched as the girl called on her cat that stopped scratching before it stopped and looked at her owner. The girl introduced herself as Eva Longwood to which Ray smiled.
"I am honored Eva to meet you... I am Ray James Hufflepuff, you can just call me Ray if you want to" Ray said as he kept on smiling.

A shy smile played on her lips.
"it's really nice to meet you too, Ray James." she joked, the red color disappearing from her face; but she was watching Missy from the corner of her eye.
Her current expression changed to an intrigued one.
"You said your last name is 'Hufflepuff''?" she asked.
