After your journey through a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there, you find yourself standing before a still life painting. Upon giving the correct password, you are allowed access to a warm, welcoming underground room, decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours. Gathered around the large fireplace are several oversized and overfilled plump sofas, which resemble fluffy clouds, and a variety of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.

A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here than in their dormitories or the library.

Portraits of past well-known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks, who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power, as well as the Fat Friar. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.

Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left.

Christine walked into the common room from having a great nights sleep. She saw that there was some other student in the common room, all older then her. She walked over to an empty couch and curled up on it. She planned to sit down and do what she loved best, read. She had bought and old, tattered book from Diagon Ally about quidditch. It was called "Quidditch through the ages." She found this wizard sport to be very interesting, and she wanted to learn everything she could about it. She was hoping that with her experience playing muggle baseball, she would make it on the house team as a beater. Christine flipped open the book to where she had left off, chapter four, and began reading.

maddox smiled mischeviously and said, "Well, me and my cousin Suzy, whom went here to she was a 5th year, she and my aunt visited the whole summer. Anyways, well...she and i got into an ice cream fight and i was just flicking a spoon full of sprinkles at her when the shopkeep came over, and suz ducked, and yeah...sprinkles in the eye of the shopkeeper gets you banned." He laughed.

She nodded at Curt and said, "my parents died at the end of June, so I spent the first few weeks of the holidays with Mads, then I moved in with Vannah. It's been an hectic and exhausting summer." And it's a good thing too really... She was hoping to get to know the boy better than she did so far, so she kept the conversation going. "So what do you think of our next Quidditch Captain? Good replacement for Mia?" she added, chuckling.

Miranda had dosed off in the chair ''whoa!'' she looked at the time, it was past 2am ''oops i better go see it there's a bed for me'' She hurried off to the left, no right...hmm which one was the girls dormitories again? ''left - got it! Goodnight everybody" she said hoping someone would say it back, not wanting to look like a total fool. Opening the door she saw the long tunnel.

Hannah walked into the coomon room and immedatily felt left out. Everyone was talking and chatting with someone and she was all alone. She sat down in a chair and looked off into space as she listened to bits of people's conversation.'there's a bed for me',one said as she scurred off.'guy's bum stick to the desk'Hannah heard one say. She rolled her eyes and stared at people and sipped some hot tea, so she could sleep and dream of happier places.

Once she was changed out of her school robes and into more comfy muggle clothes since uniforms weren't required within the common room, Savannah returned through the door that led to the girl's dorms. Rabid was happily sleeping under her bed, and Ellie was probably up in the owlery. Alexis still had Hippo, which left Tiger lurking about the lounge while she had hurried off to change after Ariel had pushed a plate into her lap.

"Ema!" She said, noticing the girl looking around her new surroundings. "Come join us?" Savannah suggested, motioning for her to come and meet her other friends. The brunette continued over to the small group, greeting them brightly "Heyloo!"

Plopping carefully down onto the floor beside the couch nearest the fireplace, holding out a hand to stroke the silky orange furr of Tiger as he walked closer. Turning herself a little to see Curt on the couch, she smiled, sure he must be expecting the next thing to come from her mouth. "Tell me now, pleeeease?"

Ella walked inside the Common room, exhausted and full. She plopped down on the couch near by Annah, leaned back. "Hiya Anna, Lima..." she smiled lazily, "How are you feeling guys? I feel so lazy after the food and too much of talkings.." she chuckled at the final part. She had been talking all the while, non-stopingly.

Browny jumped up in her laps, curled beautifully. She stroked her back, she had not seen her anywhere near the feast table.

Marty walked into the Common Room with a sigh. She sat on the chair nearest to the fireplace and sort of smiled at the other girls. She had totally just walked infront of them while they were talking. If she wasnt so tired, she probably wouldnt care.

But of course being tired makes her nicer than usual. "Sorry, you can ignore me." she said.

She was used to people ignoring her, because she didnt talk much. Why should these people be any different?

She pullled her knees up to her chest and laid her chin on them. She let the feel of the fire warm her as she just sat there.

She shook her head and focused her attention to her wringing hands, twisting them this way and that.
Finally, she asked: "Where did my stuff go that was on the train?"

Kaika walked in, she still had a smile on her face. Everything was back, and their Common Room, in the same level as the kitchens, and things yellow, and it was all amazing.

She started to think she was dreaming and hugged the walls, it felt real. And actually, cold, which is why she pulled herself away from the wall then and took a seat next to the fireplace. Finally, their Common Room, with no lace or purple things.

Waiting as patiently as she could to find out who or what was waiting somewere around here, Savannah snapped out of her thoughts as Ella spoke up from the other couch on her side. "A little tired, but I feel great" She replied, briefly absent-mindedly gazing around the lounge. Nothing had changed since the last time they were here, it was all the same. The same warm, cozy badger home they all knew and loved.

"Our belongings are taken to our dormitories during the feast," Savannah nodded, surely, pointing over her shoulder towards the portrait door that traveled to the girl's dorms. "Heya Kaika!" She greeted, her attention shifting onto the fourth year upon her arrival into the common room. She waved her over as well, deciding now would be better than ever to introduce Ema to everyone and visaversa. "Guys, this is Emalyn; Ema, these lovely people are Ella, my cousin Lima, Maddox" She paused, pointing to each in turn of saying they're names, and then gestured to Kaika, "Kaika, and Curt" pointing once again to one of the three behind them on the couch, this time to the second boy whom she had saved for last.

Kaika exclaimed, but there was no need to raise her voice, since they were sort of close, "You know, I thought I was going to be exhausted when I headed down here" she started to say, looking around, "But I feel I could spend days without sleeping" she chuckled, clearly seeing the Common Room again was just an amazing sight.

Kaika looked to the girl Savannah was introducing, "Hi there! I'm Kaika, as Vannah just said" she nodded and smiled.

Curt nodded in agreement, the Cooper’s common room didn’t even compare to the one here at Hogwarts. “Too right.” he said with a smug grin, it felt great to be back. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a tiny black blur, and knew that Naya was settling in to her new environment just fine.

Smiling, Curt nodded his head. “Yeah I remember Suzy quite well actually, never really knew her too well though.” he said with a shrug, she seemed nice enough. The rest of the story was pretty hilarious, Curt was overcome with laugher and he shook his head at Maddox. “Yeah apparently so.” he said with a wry grin at the whole ‘sprinkles in the eye gets you banned part’.

Looking back to Lima, and hearing the words that came from her mouth, Curt’s eyes widened involuntarily. Her parent… dead? That was horrible, and Curt felt her pain, he’d had a death in the family once before as well. “Lima, I’m so- so sorry.” he said seriously, stuttering a bit. “What happened?” he asked, knowing good and well that she might not want to talk about it right now; but Curt could definitely relate. “It’s all gonna be alright.” he said with a firm expression, he could feel that this year was going to be special.

Curts spirits brightened up considerable at the mention of Quidditch and the new captain Rapunzel. He laughed slightly, could there ever possibly be a good replacement for Mia? Well, Punzie was definitely the best choice possible. “I personally think Punzle will do great.” he said with a nod. “She has a lot more energy than Mia I think.” he said with a smile, not quite as competitive though…, he thought in the back of his mind. All in all, Pretzel was going to be amazing though. “What about you? You gonna give Quidditch a go this term?” he asked with an interested look, they needed all the talent they could muster.

Noticing that Vannah was coming from the girls dormitories, Curt smiled. She had finally changed out of her messy close that were dirtied due to the discretion of the little puppy Ariel. He smiled at her greeting, also looking for any sign of Tiger. “Wotcher.” he said with a small grin, using the new greeting he picked up from Alex’s neighbor in Godric’s Hollow.

Yes, she had been patiently waiting. Curt gave her a crooked smile and looked around the room. “Alright, alright.” he said, beaming. Unfortunately, Naya was nowhere to be seen, and he had just spotted her a second ago. He then looked back to Vannah, and then to her legs where something had just poked its head through.

Naya had finally poked through the big giants legs, and placed two of her tiny black paws on the thing’s shoes. It arched it’s back and looked directly up, only to see the giants face. Naya’s brilliant, bright blue orbs where shining magnificently and really contrasted with her pure black coat. She was small, even for a kitten. The kitten blinked a few times, not taking it’s eyes off the human (Savannah).

Curt smiled smugly, Ah yes, there she is. He looked back up to Vannah and laughed. “Meet Naya.” he said, referring to the small feline. “Me and Jared found her behind Alex’s house when we were moving him in. Her mom had abandoned her, so we’ve been keeping her since. I would’ve told you in the letters, but I wanted it to be a surprise.” he said with a smile, looking at little Naya who was still staring up to Vannah, perplexed.

Curt then looked to the little first year that had come over, Vannah had called her Ema, correct? He nodded to himself mentally and adressed the young girl. "Hello Ema" he said with a bright smile. As Vannah introduced him to the girl, he nodded. "Yup, I'm Curt. Pleasure to meet you." he said, putting out his hand to shake.

Like" She mused, pretending to have to think on that "we're home!"

Out of the corner of her eye she could see Tiger stretching, obviously not expecting something to touch her leg she looked down abruptly, face lighting up in surprise, ocean blue eyes dancing with excitement at the sight of the tiny, adorable, feline. "She's SO cute!" Savannah exclaimed, as quietly as she could as not to scare the poor thing. Moving a gentle hand slowly, first to let Naya sniff her so she would hopefully react better to being stroked; after all, at the moment she was a stranger to the kitten.

"Well I'm definitely surprised!" Savannah laughed, tearing her eyes from the adorable baby to look at Curtis. "Now I see what you meant about getting Tiger worked up."

Yawning lazily, Tiger stretched out as far as his little body could go, only to straighten up again and shake his furry head. He had explored nearly the entire room by this point, and everything seemed just fine. Now, he could relax.

Trottling over towards the humans, he halted mid-step bright green eyes seeing the black furred animal possibly having a slight resemblance to how he was built. Well.. one thing was certain. It wasn't another winged monster. Not moving an inch, Tiger studied the smaller thing from where he stood.

Waiting as patiently as she could to find out who or what was waiting somewere around here, Savannah snapped out of her thoughts as Ella spoke up from the other couch on her side. "Guys, this is Emalyn; Ema, these lovely people are Ella, my cousin Lima, Maddox" She paused, pointing to each in turn of saying they're names, and then gestured to Kaika, "Kaika, and Curt" pointing once again to one of the three behind them on the couch, this time to the second boy whom she had saved for last.

Ella smiled and looked around the place. It was technically her first year of Hogwarts. Lua will be happy if she heard this. I must send her an owl, she thought to herself. The room was very well decorated with Hufflepuff Pride. The Yellow brighten up the room so gorgeously. After consuming a quite amount of time to capture the atmosphere she turned to Anna, "I thought so..so does everyone here.." she chuckled at the postures of everyone in the room. All looked stuffed and tired but engaged with talks.

When Anna introduced another gal, looked bit younger than her, "Helo Ema!" she smiled at the girl, simply. Before realized what was happening, Browny jumped off from her lap and running towards..wha..? Great! There was another cat looking similar like Browny with bushy tails.

Browny sniffed and held her head high to see the new person of her family (Tiger, Vannah's Cat). She rolled her eyes and spotted him or her?!!! with the straightened ears, she jumped off from Ella's lap, running towards the member, halted just a few steps away, signalling in a friendly manner.

Emalyn smiled at Ella, Lima, Maddox and Kaika and shook Curt's hand, nodding. "Hello! Pleased to meet you too. You guys have very interesting names. Family names?" Ema was sure she would have a slightly hard time trying to keep the names straight.

"Oh good." She said to Vannah. "I was starting to worry that maybe I was supposed to do something with my luggage. Who is going to be in my dormitory? All the first year girls, or all the girls? It'd be quite crowded with all of us...and why would boys get trapped in tunnels if they tried to get into the girls dorm, but nothing would happen to the girls if they tried to get into the boys?"
Emalyn felt bad for always hammering Vannah with questions, but she just had to get them squared away and taken care of.

"Oh, and have you found out who the other Prefect is?"

Are Browny and Tiger cats? This is probably going to come to a very obvious answer, but I want to be sure.

Maddox shook his head, "oh it was aweful. Imagine being a guy, surrounded by guys, and only getting to see the girls once a month, and at quidditch practice, which lima wasnt part of. It was annoying." He huffed.

Maddox raised his left eyebrow and said, "how do you know about that?" he then turned to penny and said, "Penny did you tell her?" He started to chuckle. It was one of the funniest things he had done to a professer at Durmstrang, but never got caught. It was an amazing moment in his life.

Curt nodded in agreement, the Cooper’s common room didn’t even compare to the one here at Hogwarts. “Too right.” he said with a smug grin, it felt great to be back. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a tiny black blur, and knew that Naya was settling in to her new environment just fine.

Smiling, Curt nodded his head. “Yeah I remember Suzy quite well actually, never really knew her too well though.” he said with a shrug, she seemed nice enough. The rest of the story was pretty hilarious, Curt was overcome with laugher and he shook his head at Maddox. “Yeah apparently so.” he said with a wry grin at the whole ‘sprinkles in the eye gets you banned part’.

Maddox smiled, "Yes, Suzy didnt really come out of her shell here. She had alot going on with her fathers family when she started her. So she wasnt really herself here." When curt started to laugh uncontrolably about maddox and suzy's banning, he couldnt control him self, he laughe right along with him. "Yes it was extremely funny and we are banned forever. But im sure i can undo that." He chuckled.
