Zeph looked a bit surprised. "You? But you are so little Kayla!" he could not imagine her fighting anybody off. "There is only one girl that I wish I needed to be protected from but she doesn't go here and she is in love with someone else." At least he wasn't blushing any more. He watched her sit down and moved over to sit next to her bringing Prince of course. "Nothing. Just looking around." He didn't admit that he was actually bent on revenge and had a nasty streak a mile wide.

Kayla rolled her eyes at him and snorted. "If only you knew what I get up to on my summer breaks. Looks can be deceiving Zeph, just remember that okay. When I want to be I can be one nasty little witch" she glared at him making sure he got the picture.

"Oh...I'm really sorry to hear that Zeph" she looked a little uncomfortable and felt like she had put her foot in it. "Maybe one of the girls here will take your mind off her" she added helpfully.

Noticing the camera around Zeph's neck, Kayla decided to change the subject. "So have you been taking any cool pictures?"

He looked away uncomfortably at her glare since it reminded him of the way Cadie glared at him. "Maybe I don't know." Zeph looked at her quickly when she asked about taking pictures. He had only taken the revenge ones so far and If he showed her those it would be embarassing and she would probably think that he idolised that horrible slytherin boy even if that was maybe a tiny bit true. And she would think he was a horrible person even though that was maybe a tiny bit true too. He didn't want her to think either of those things though and he did not think that she would just let him brush it off so he answered. "I have taken a few pictures. Of a student here who used to go to Durmstrang with me. I thought that people back home would be interested to see he has not changed at all." He held the photos against his chest and stared fixedly at Prince.

She watched his facial expressions and he seemed to be having some kind of inner turmoil. When he spoke of the person who he had taken the pictures of, Kayla's stomach gave a slight lurch. She bit her lip and put a hand on her stomach for a moment, bad news was coming, she could always sense it.

"May I have a look at the pictures?" she asked quietly. She didn't know why but for some reason she just had to see those pictures.

"You aren't in any of them. Don't worry." Zeph said in a hurry. He didn't really want to show her the photos. He didn't like the idea of having people at Hogwarts see them and see Nicholai the way Zeph had shown him because it would get out and Nicholai would cheerfully kill him. Zeph didn't care at all that Nicholai wasn't actually doing anything or that he had made the shots look worse than they were. It only mattered that he might get in trouble for it. One person couldn't hurt though. Zeph passed her the photos and looked away uncomfortably.

Kayla took the photos from him wordlessly and looked down at the first one and she took a sharp intake of breath as she realised it was Nico and a girl who she didn't know and he seemed to be grabbing her. Kayla swallowed hard and then looked at the next picture. There was Nico again, this time with another girl and he was bending down to kiss her, Kayla's hand's began to shake as she turned to the third picture. A different girl again with Nico and didn't they look all nice and cosy.

Kayla stood up from the couch and looked down at Zeph but not really seeing him. "If you don't mind Zeph, I would like to borrow these" she said holding up the pictures. Her mind and body had gone numb, she wasn't entirely sure at what she was about to do but she wasn't about to sit in the Common room any longer...she had to find Nicholai.

Kayla strode to the door of the common room but before she made her exit, she turned and looked at Zeph. "Now you'll see why, nobody should mess with me" and with that she left.

Zeph watched her as she reacted to the pictures. She obviously knew him. Or more than knew him. Zeph didn't know whether to feel bad because Kayla was technically his friend and he was technically lying to her if she believed what she saw in the photos or if he should be glad because Nicholai was probably really in for it now judging by her expression. Either she was one of his little girlfriends or one of her friends was. As long as she didn't find out that Zeph wasn't exactly taking an honest photograph then it didn't matter.
He leaned back as she left and smiled wickedly. Maybe it was going to turn out even better this way. Nicholai was going to pay and he would regret everything. Zeph stroked his toad and stared into space still smiling.

Eva looked around and saw Kayla.
"Look, Tam, there's Kayla." she said, standing up to greet her. But Kayla didn't seem friendly at all. And then she left. What's wrong? Eva thought.
She blinked and turned to the boy kayla had been talking to.
"What happenned to her?" she paused with a sigh. "Don't tell me it was Nico again."

There was something weird on that boy's smile. Wicked. Creepy, the word came to her mind before Eva would even think. He was about her own age and seemed... too happy in Eva's opinion.
She shook her head. She had to talk to Kayla. The girl doesn't know how to chose friends, does she? Eva this nasty thought. First Jared, now this... one.

Tammy smiled up over at Kayle but she had gone before the brunette had time to say anything. She looked at Eva and bit her lip. "Who was she with?" Tammy asked her friend.

"Nice to meet you too," Emalyn said, sitting down next to Christine. "I'm a first year, also."

Kat was shocked. the girl was reading Shakespeare! HE was her favorite writer, ever since she was little and her dad used to read his sonnets to her before bed. oh how she missed her family.
Kat looked at the girl and nodded. "Yeah, I know of him. I'm muggle born, actually my father used to read his stuff to me as bedtime stories. i would love to read one of them. maybe i woouldnt miss home so much." she told Mari.(SP?

Mari smiled. "I know what is it to miss everything, but you'll find school to be quite interesting. I have other books here," Mari said understanding what the girl was going through. She took out of her bag another book with a beautiful letter that A midsummer's night dream and handed it to the girl. "You'll the homesick feeling will pass soon enough, once you've made yourself a cozy place in here. In fact I hardly miss home nowdays, things are much more... interesting in here.

"really? I hope im the same way, i really miss my friends and family. its hard especially when they well nevermind." Kat looked down at the book and her throat started closing up with tears. "thank you." she whispered.

Mari noticed the gilr was having a difficult time, but thought it inappropiate to mention it, especially as she had just met the girl. "Hey, anytime, not only for the books, if you need someone, come and talk to me, it's not as if we are total strangers. We'll be here for a long time. You'll see things will get better, wayyyyyyyy better, I'm not saying just to make you feel better, it's true. The books do help to remeber, but it's also a good idea to speak to people, get to know them a little. You'll see Howgarts students aren't as bad hehehe"

Diana came to the Common Room,looking exhausted after the day's work.She looked at her wristwatch.It was very late,but she had to practice the Levitation Charm.So,she collected an assortment of objects,including a quill,a rolled up parchment and a book and went to a deserted side of the common room.Taking a deep breath,she started practising.At the first threee attempts,she failed."Concentrate now,Diana";she muttered to herself and said,"Win-gar-Dium-Levi-O-Sa',moving her wand carefully.At the 4th attempt,she managed to make the quill float in the air.Then,one by one,she made all the objects hover in midair.After doing it for some 4 times,she went off to the Dormitory,for a good sleep.

"We're in third place!" Miranda ran into the commonroom, happy that the Huffies atlast were getting well deserved point! "Wohooo!" she cheered grinning, and then ran back out again.
She had to go to the bathroom.

Pheonix was exhausted, but she couldn't go to bed just yet. She walked into the Common Room and flopped into one of the empty chairs. Pheonix then pulled out a quill and her wand and began to practise the Levitation Charm she had been told to do. 'Wingardium Leviosa.' she said, waving her wand how she had been taught. Nothing. Pheonix sighed, this was going to take forever and patience wasn't one of her virtues, an annoying trait she shared with her father. Then, as if on cue, her cheek began to throb and tears came to her eyes. 'No,' Pheonix scolded herself quietly 'Stop it, concentrate. Wingardium Leviosa.' The quill wobbled and rose a millimetre off the table. Spurred on by this success, Pheonix continued to practise until she was able to levitate the quill just above her head. Grinning in triumph, Pheonix decided to stop for tonight, put her wand away and instead pulled out a rather battered text book and bottle of ink. She then curled herself up on her chair and began to write.

Cassie walked in quite happily. She had only a little homework today, just reading a few runes, should be done in about 5 minutes. She still didn't have any friends here, it was probably because she didn't really talk to anyone.
She sat on an empty chair and got her homework and a quill out of her bag and started on her homework.

Lauren walked in to see a girl starting on her homework. "hello" Lauren said.
"Im lauren, do you mind if I do my homework next to you?"

Cassie was so surprised that someone had noticed her thats she nearly forgot to answer.
" Erm, OK, if you want ", She said shrugging.

"ok, thanks" Lauren responded. She thought that this girl looked like she could really have a friend, and so did LAuren. "My names Lauren" she said.

'' I'm Cassie ", she said to Lauren.
" So, em, what year are you in? ", Cassie asked.

She smiled as they reached the Common Room. "Eh, it was fun until I got my arm broken and my ribs fractured." She laughed. "But yes, she's my friend. Even though I don't know her too well yet." She was still wondering how Cayde was doing now.

As they reached the common room safely , Ella made the stretcher landing smoothly on the floor and helped Lima to get out of it. Once Lima was settled in the couch comfortably, Ella made the stretcher disappeared. Perfect! Now she moved over, sat next to her. "Yeah..I'm sorry about that" she said, "Good. So how you feel now?" asked and leaned back on the couch.

Christine walked back into the common room from just practicing her levitation charm. She went over to the couch and sat down. She opened her bag and pulled out her parchment and a quill, and began her charms homework
