Whitley Hall is in the country side just outside of Muggle London. Beyond the borders of London and into the lush green lands sits the Hall miraged by all of its magical enchantments. It has all of the splendor of a traditional Muggle Manor and yet its Magical inhabitants make the house their own.
The house is lived in by the Skylar family: Jake, Sophia, and Selina their daughter. However, due to the death of a school friend's father the Skylar's have all taken in the two James children: Elyon and Christopher. The property is large enough for a family of seven times their size. Whitley Hall is, with its garden and Pitch and grounds, a very large piece of property. However, most times of the year the house is empty when Selina, Elyon, and Christopher are off at school and Sophia and Jake are busy with their work schedule.
Of course the broomshed has been renovated to fit the two new additions to the Skylar clan. This once small shed has adapted an expansion charm to fit a kitchen, a bedroom for two, and a living room.
The door is always open to friends of the family and of course the only way into Whitley Hall is to have been told by the secret keeper. Therefore the only visitors are friends and family.
SPOILER!!: House Characters
Jake Skylar- Professional Quidditch Player for the Fowlmouth Falcons. Loving father and silly man in general, but has a wicked temper. Sohia Skylar- Ambassador of Australia for the British Ministry of Magic. Organized and anal, but has a big heart underneath.
Selina Skylar- Current Hogwarts student. Rambunctious and Quidditch-driven. Has a right awful temper, but is a loyal and fierce friend. Christopher James- Current Hogwarts Student. Shy and a huge reader with a big heart. Has a very quick temper when it comes to his idea of injustice, but loves his girlfriend, Violet Le Veela, enough that people know he is good.
Elyon James- Current Hogwarts Student. Out-going and unique. Believes solely in the motto that good exists in everyone.
OOC. This is a thread for people who are friends of the Skylars. Come on in and join the party. The house is a place for good times and good people.
I do ask that all people who RP in here are either invited by myself into the house or they PM me about RPing here. Thanks a ton! And have fun.
Quote:
Skylar Home- First Scene Jake walked into his home and made his way to the kitchen. He knew that Sophie was no doubt at the Ministry finishing up her last piece of contracting before she started her official first day at the Ministry. To be honest that was all she had seemed to be doing lately.
As he made his way through the kitchen he stopped to put his jacket down on the garnet and then made his way into the living room. Throwing himself down on his couch he thought to himself- Selina was coming home today. He had missed his little girl since her enrollment at Hogwarts. The house was too quiet. She was always making a ruckus. But with the summer holiday coming his house would be alive once more. He had no doubt she would have friends coming in and out all summer. Some even were staying for the duration: these Violet, Kurumi, and Elektra characters were all staying at his house at one point that he knew of. And Sophie was sure to have business men over. He was just lucky all he had to worry about was showing up for practice. Politics, especially work relationships, were not his cup of tea.

Of course, there was one member of Whitley Hall who did not know that Violet Le Veela was coming to spend some time at Whitley this summer. Perhaps she should have told Christopher Violet was coming but, well, honestly she did not want to deal with him getting all upset at her...
A picture of the pathway towards Whitley and that is all you see. Until seconds later you hear a gust of wind and a small spec starts spiraling rapidly until you see a small brunette land on her feet. It was none other than Miss Violet Le Veela of course, who was immediately adjusting herself after apparating like that.
She adjusted her skirt and fixed her hair before she started walking towards Whitley. A bright big smile was upon the just turned fourteen year old's face and wide violet eyes. She was so happy that it was summer and couldn't wait for another memorable few months with Selina. Violet reached the front door and pressed the doorbell for a few moments and then stepped back waiting patiently for someone to open the door. As she waited she began to gently run her fingers through her hair.

Christopher Brian James was usually a morning person. However, with the first week of summer each year, this changed drastically.
Without fail, for the first week and a half of summer, the fifteen year old woke up well after noon each day. As he dragged himself out of bed, he didn't even bother to change out of pajamas as he went to the kitchen to find something to eat. The image of orange juice and toast swirled around happily in his mind until he realized- no bread. As a teenage boy usually behaves, especially while sleepy, he groaned, packed everything up and walked barefoot to the main house, the wet grass tickling his feet.
He sleepily entered the house, heading straight for the kitchen when a soft knock came at the door. Ugh. It was probably Selina, she was weird like that, knocking on the front door. Who knows why she'd do it, but she probably would. He made a detour, running his hands through his hair as he groggily opened, eyes closed in mid-yawn. "Selina, what are you doing-" But the face that greeted him was not Selina's at all.
It was Violet's.
WHAT!?
WHAT WAS SHE DOING HERE!? More importantly, where was Selina? Because he was about to kill her for not warning him of her surprise guest. Staring with the most horrified look on his face at Violet, he got a raised eyebrow in return. And then he realized.... he was still in his pajamas, messy hair, sleepy eyes, and the most dumb and confused look on his face. After a moment of really awkward confused staring, he turned and yelled up the stairs at the top of his lungs, "SELINA!!!!!!!!!"
And with that, he was still frozen, not sure what to do. He couldn't just leave her at the door- that would be rude. But he wasn't exactly too keen on the idea of sticking around either. So he decided that once Selina came down, he was going to have a nice chat with her. (Sarcasm on the nice.)

Violet stood there for another few moments until she heard the door begin to open and she smiled brightly squealing,"Ahhhh Sely I've missed you so much! This summer is going to be so much fu-" Her mouth dropped and she immediately stopped talking when she didn't see Selina answer the door...but none other than Christopher. Sure of course she shouldn't be that shocked that Christopher answered the door, for he lived there obviously, but what she didn't expect to see was him...looking like...this. In his pajamas. And on top of that it was the middle of the afternoon, wouldn't he be dressed by now? Violet could see when he found out it was her that being at the door was the last placed he wanted to be right now. And for that she could entirely understand. Violet then felt herself shutter when his voice hollered for Selina, she was immediately thrust back into that terrible day in Honeydukes, and it sent shivers up her spine. She then shook her head and looked at the back of Chris' head silently for a moment until she said softly,"...Um...If you wanted to go change Chris..That would be alright..."

Selina was starting to get very worried. She had been waiting outside for Violet to arrive for at least twenty minutes. There had to be something wrong or her friend was running late or something. She had told Violet in her letter to tell her mother to side apparate her to Selina's home near the Pitch. The last thing she wanted was Violet to show up at the front door. Selina knew that if Christopher was to see Violet before she had intervened the two of them would have some serious words exchanged. Of course, she had manipulated the situation just so that Christopher would not know about Violet until she wanted him to. Speaking of which... where was she?
She was just about to head back to her house to floo Violet when she heard an earth shattering scream. The voice was not high pitched and girly though; it was lower and had a masculine timbre to it. The type of timbre that could only belong to a teenage boy... Christopher. Oh bloody hell, Violet was here and she had not listened to Selina's owl.
At the sound of her name being yelled across the entire Whitley estate Selina ran. When she finally reached the front of her house she noticed that Christoher was standing in the doorway frozen with an awkward Violet standing with her things on the steps. She wondered if she could just run. Would anyone notice that she was gone? Perhaps not... maybe she could just slink away into the night, grab a broom and head to Kurumi's house... nope that was in Japan... that was not going to work. Dammit... she was stuck.
As nonchalantly as she could muster she walked behind Violet and looked between the two teens, "Oh hey Chris, nice shorts.... and hair... someone got up early to see our guest for the next two weeks." Maybe he wouldn't freak. He wouldn't do that in front of Violet... would he?

Christopher was feeling incredibly uncomfortable. Only slightly less than on the train. Though at least he was properly clothed on that occassion.
Standing there at the door in his boxers and bedhead, he waited for Selina to come down stairs. His face was blank, though he was clearly agitated, and his back was to his sister's guest. He didn't really fancy talking to her in the situation that present. However, when she uncomfortably suggested he go change, he just stared at her. His mouth was slightly ajar, and his face was almost sarcastic, as if to say, 'Really?' Did she think he wanted to be standing before her in just boxers and a t-shirt? Because he didn't. At all. But he had to get in a quick word with a certain redhead before he fled the scene.
When she finally came down, after what felt like an hour, Christopher grabbed her hand, pulling her to the side, attempting to make it so that Violet couldn't hear. Even though she probably could, but he was too sleepy and disoriented to notice. "What were you thinking?" he hissed in her ear. "Why didn't you tell me... she was coming!?" He didn't care at all if Selina had her over- it was going to happen whether he liked it or not. But couldn't she have at least warned him so that this wouldn't happen?

Selina smiled at Violet sweetly acting like nothing was wrong, because in her eyes nothing was wrong. This was her house and her friend could be there if she wanted her to be there. Oh who was she kidding? She knew she had done something wrong and that this whole situation was on the extreme end of awkward. But Christopher would have never have been okay with Violet coming if she had given him some sort of red flag... so he got no red flag.
Just as she was about to speak she was yanked away from Violet and a not-so-loud Christopher started to remark rather rudely what was she doing here? Selina looked at him rather offended and replied, "Well, Christopher, she is my friend. Regardless of any romantic relationships you may have encountered with her in the past she was my friend first. So if I want to see her over the summer I bloody well will. Sorry that you don't like the fact that she is here. But I was under the impression that you two were all chummy now, no?"

Christopher kept glancing periodically over his shoulder at a very confused looking Violet as Selina spoke. Why was everything so complicated and awkward? Whisper-yelling back at her, he felt his patience slipping more and more. "Look, Selina, I don't care if you have her over. I don't care if she stays with us for the rest of the summer! It's not my concern anymore. But couldn't you have at least told me she was coming? So that I didn't have to answer the door? In my boxers?" It was not a comfortable situation.
"I'm moving on Selina, so don't worry. But you can't expect us to go back to being close. At least not yet." She was asking a lot of him, he had to admit. Plus he was grouchy and tired and hungry and embarrassed all at once. He was too tired for this right now. And he hadn't exactly moved on yet either. But Selina didn't have to know that.

Violet then turned seeing Selina finally appear and she could see the relief on Christopher's face, but it was quickly replaced by anger. The next thing she knew he pulled Selina aside and was trying to have a quiet conversation with her, but it clearly wasn't because she could hear everything that was being said. Violet sighed a a little bit and then noticed how Selina kept trying to act as if nothing was wrong. Violet wasn't that naive anymore.
So to help lighten the tension Violet cleared her throat and said lightly,"Um..Sely? I'll just meet you over by the garden while you finish up here.." She gave a light nod and then turned making her way towards her favorite place when she was at Whitley. But then turned her head and said lightly,"Good seeing you Christopher.." Violet gave him a small smile before turning her head going to the gardens.
As she walked she said very softly,"Why does this have to be so difficult..." Violet then looked up at the clear blue sky as she walked for a few moments until her eyes traveled to the grass below her. It wasn't long until Violet was passing by the lake and she stared out at the calm waters that almost seeming to stand still, then a soft breeze came by and disturbed the water giving it ripples. Violet then made her way onto the very familiar path towards the garden and after walking through the maze that led to it Violet always found as a sort of guessing game. But since she knew her way so much it was almost as if she were cheating. Once she entered the secluded garden with the fountain Violet felt at ease and a true and warm smile graced her lips. Violet took a quick glance at all of the pink roses and it gave her a quick moment of memorabilia making her feel like she were home. She walked towards some of roses and gently pulled some out careful not prick her fingers with the thorns. Violet then began to gently pull off the petals one by one. And when she had a handful of them in her hands she tossed them in the air as high as she could and then in a swift gesture she pulled out her wand. Next thing she gave it a light wave saying,"Aresto Momentum.." then all of the rose petals that were falling all began to slow down as they fell around her. She smiled brightly proud of herself and then gracefully sat down beside the fountain. Violet then reached into her rucksack, of course with an expansion charm, reaching around for a few moments trying to find what she was looking for. Then Violet smiled when she felt it and pulled out Witch Weekly. Violet squealed a little bit before being suck into the latest fashions.
Selina was about to respond to Christopher's remark about not caring that Violet was there when Violet spoke up. She wanted to tell Christopher that she did not like that he was implying she had to tell him everything about her life, sometimes thing were just nonw of his business. But she never got the chance to snap back at him when Violet decided to leave. She tried to stop Violet by stepping forward but the girl had already fled the scene due to her general awkwardness at the situation.
Once Violet was gone Selina turned around on her sneaker and crossed her arms at Christopher, "Seriously? You just can't help yourself lately, can you Christopher? I don't know what your deal is lately but you just have been horrid. I'm going to go and do damage control for my guest."
She ran down the steps of her house before she turned back around to him and said, "You know? The old Chris would not have been so insensitive. He would go and apologize.". Then Selina ran off to go abd find Violet.

I'm going to go and do damage control for my guest." She ran down the steps of her house before she turned back around to him and said, "You know? The old Chris would not have been so insensitive. He would go and apologize.". Then Selina ran off to go abd find Violet.
When Violet spoke up, saying she was leaving, Christopher glanced back, feeling kind of sorry. He hadn't intended to make her leave. He had just wanted Selina to at least acknowledge the fact that he lived there too, and she had to be considerate. "I... erm.. yeah," he said to the retreating figure, not even sure if he'd heard him or not. But nevermind that now. He'd have plenty of time to... catch up with her later.
And turning around, he saw the look of disgust on Selina's face. That just made him even more upset. "Are you not listening to me!? I'm not asking you to tell me every detail of your life! You've made it so clear that you're a private person- trust me I get it! I just ask that you'd at least tell me in advance to avoid situations like this! That's all I ask. You're not the only person who lives here, Selina." He didn't know why she was freaking out so much- all he wanted was to be informed when people would be coming in and out of their house.
He sighed and rolled his eye irratibly as she left. He was so fed up with things always being about Selina and her life. It's not like he said Violet couldn't ever come over! He just didn't want to be around her in his underwear, thank you very much. He began to walk back further into the house as well, when Selina said something else, making him turn around. Earlier he'd just been a little irritated, but this was going too far. She was really starting to upset him now. Why did girls think they could just be rude whenever they wanted? "Now what is that supposed to mean!? And apologize for what!? I haven't done anything! I'm the same person I've always been Selina! Just because I don't let YOU control my life anymore, doesn't mean that I've changed at all!" Seriously!
Selina rolled her eyes as she walked away from Christopher. She knew that she should have told him about Violet coming but he was being ridiculous. With Christopher everything just ran down hill and he had NO ROOM to belittle her about being private. All Chris did was keep to himself and keep things to himself. And yes, she was slightly controlling but she did not treat him any differently than she treated anyone else. She treated Chris better than anyone else in the world did. After his mother dropped him she fought for him to live in her house. She took him in, she cared about him. How dare he talk to her like that!
If he was a real friend he would be acting differently but all he was doing now was treating Selina like Adam did...
Finally she found Violet and smiled at the girl who was reading in a pool of pedals. "Hey there.... you okay?"

As usual Violet was being drawn into the latest fashions and she always had the most difficult time peeling her eyes away for just a moment. It was a problem, she did admit but she could not help it! Every page that she turned was just more and more fascinating to her. Which is why, when Selina came Violet didn't even notice until she spoke to her and it made Violet jump making a little squeak. But as usual she covered her mouth straight away and then she turned to the redhead and placed her hand on her heart feeling it speeding rapidly.
Violet brushed aside some of her hair and then smiled at Selina saying lightly,"Hi Sely!" Then she asked if she was doing alright,"I'm doing alright...You?" Of course after what just happened with Chris, Violet was a little thrown off and her mood was a little faltered at that. But Violet refused to ruin this day just because of that.

Selina smiled at Violet and took note of how Violet's mood had barely taken a damper to it. Although she was obviously thrown off by the whole Christopher encounter. Yeah, she probably should have warned the pair of them that Violet was coming and that Christopher did not know she was coming; however, it was too late to change the past. Besides, Christopher was being really mean about the whole situation. He was being such a prick about Violet showing up and his "right" to know she was coming. Well she didn't care that he felt entitled to knowing about every detail of this guest. If anyone else was coming to Whitley Christopher would not care. It was only because VIOLET was coming did he have a tantrum.
When Violet spoke Selina smiled back at her and said, "I'm doing great. It's amazing to see you, honestly. I can't believe that you're here. I've missed you so much... birthday girl..." Violet was now fourteen... boy did time fly.

Violet smiled brightly and replied,"It's wonderful to see you as well! I feel like it's been forever since the train! That was when Violet got up and wrapped her arms around Selina giving her a big hug, which come to think about it Violet hadn't given one of her famous hugs in months. It lasted for a few moments until Violet let go and then she giggled when Selina called her the birthday girl. Violet smiled and then clapped eagerly saying,"Thank you! I still can't believe it myself...It feels so strange honestly...It's actually still sinking in.." Violet chuckled a little bit.

Selina held her breath before Violet went in for a hug. Although she had been gentle as of late when it came to hugs the girl did have an amazingly tight grip. It was, without a doubt, the Veela blood in her veins. Along with the beauty and appeal that she could not control, her friend did have traces of the harpy in her personality and in her body. So the strength? Yeah, that was the harpy part of her personality.
She was right to take a breath because Violet was suffocating her. Once she let go Selina panted a moment before returning a weak smile at Violet. Selina was growing a tolerance to her friend's odd strength. She was rather proud of her feat. Then she replied, "Yeah I know. I can't believe that we are all fourteen now..." Selina stopped herself. It was the first time she had indirectly mentioned Elektra with Violet in months. Elektra had been missing for months now with no word to either of them... and now with her vision the thought of Elektra frightened Selina.
"Oh... um... sorry... I didn't mean to, I just... miss her."

Violet was still smiling after she gave her best friend a 'loving' hug. But it slowly faded when Selina spoke of how all of them were fourteen now. And Violet knew right away of who she was talking about. She then looked down for a moment and that was when her mood had been faltered once again. But as she heard Selina apologize to Violet she looked at her friend and shook her head lightly saying with a soft reply,"It's alright Sely..I know you didn't mean to..."
Violet then added,"I miss her terribly...Have you heard anything from her recently? I got an owl from her a few months ago but I haven't heard anything new...And it's really making me worried Sely..." A look of concern came across her face,"What...What if something's happened to her Sely?" Her breathing became a little frantic,"What if she's hurt or something?"

Selina pushed her back off of the garden wall and walked over to Violet who was sitting in the center of the pedal pool that she had created. When she reached her friend she sat dowj beside her and pulled her knees into her chest and looked at the brunette. In all honesty, she missed the blonde hair on Violet. It was a reminder of how much had changed in the past few months. Some things were good like Gideon, but so much bad had happened. Christopher and Violet broke up, Elektra left, Adam was a whole huge situation, Christopher had changed and turned into a reserved and bitter teenager. The hair was a reminder that things had changed.
"I just miss her so much. I swore I saw her in Hogesmeade, but I didn't know for sure until I had a vision... Things are not good Violet..."

When Violet saw Selina come and sit next to her she stared at her friend for a while. How did things get so messed up? And only after one year? And the question was...how in the world was everything going to be right again?
When she heard Selina mention how she thought she had seen Elektra at Hogsmeade Violet's eyes widened. She said a little sternly,"Wait you saw Elektra at Hogesmeade? When?" Violet had no idea about that past incident at all. And then when she told her that she had a vision about Elektra as well and told her it wasn't good Violet was both worried and appalled. "Why didn't you tell about this Selina? Is she alright? What happened to her?" At this point her edition of Witch Weekly was stuffed away back into her bag and she was now facing Selina as they sat.
Christopher was reading the words on the pages, but he wasn't really taking them in.
Of course he'd already the book a thousand times- Twelfth Night was a classic! But he couldn't focus on the book. He felt too overwhelmed. The past week had been absolute madness, and it was pretty much all his fault. He allowed his legs to dangle from the tree branch he was sitting on, his barefeet hovering high above the lake. Why did he always have to go and be a huge idiot? He needed to work on that. More importantly, he needed to work on how to talk to Violet again. The way he'd behaved the other day really wasn't like him. He was mostly just surprised, and a little irritated with a certain redhead. He shouldn't have taken that out on Violet. Of course the rest of the week was completely his fault, being mad at Selina like he was. If anything he was more mad at her now, but yet he seemed to let go his anger. He didn't want it to consume him like depression consumed Elyon. He wanted to be at peace again.

Violet made her way out of Whitley and began walking towards her usual spot at the garden. As she walked she was busy twirling her feather ring as she walked. A soft breeze blew threw her brown hair and it made it look like it was almost dancing.
These last few days have been extremely awkward, but what more can you do about it when your ex is living with your best friend. But of course she knew that there was nothing either one of them could do about it. Violet then found herself under a shade from a tree, and she knew that was when she noticed the grass below her was no longer being hit by the warming sun.
Next thing you know..SMACK! Violet without knowing it, had walked into something and it had hit her right in the face. And because of it she fell backwards landing on her rump. Violet's hand immediately went to her cheek where it mostly hurt. She lightly touched it and then she winced in pain saying,"Oww.." What in Merlin's name was that, Violet lifted her to see what had hit her, thinking it was the tree itself, but low and behold it was not. It was a shoe. Being worn by....Chris?!

Christopher was just about to change the page, when he felt his foot collide with something hard. He glanced down around him, and nearly fell out of the tree he was in when he saw what he had kicked.
"Violet?!"
Quickly abandoning his book, the fifth year jumped down from his branch and stumbled a bit before rushing over towards her. "Oh God, Vi! Are you okay? I'm so sorry!" Her injury made him completely forget they weren't exactly talking- well, awkward anyway. Kneeling down, he brushed her hair out of her face, and winced as he saw her bruise. It wasn't looking too good. "Oh geez, Vi! I didn't see you, I'm sorry!"
Then he totally realized what he was doing.
His face was really close up in hers. She looked horrified.
Jumping up, he brushed himself off and stared around, then held out a hand for her. "Erm, here, let me help you up..."

Violet watched Chris jump down from the tree and saw him stumble a little bit before he rushed towards her. Then he suddenly began panicking and asking if she was alright and apologizing. The next thing she knew he was kneeling and brushed her hair out of her face for her and winced seeing her bruise. It was clearly already beginning to swell a little bit. Chris then apologized again and Violet shook her head softly and placed her hand on his arm for reassurance,"It's alright Chris...It wasn't your fault..I should've been watching where I was going...It was clearly my fault.."
But before she knew it, she then realized what was going on. And the fact that their faces were just inches apart. Violet's heart quickly began racing and she wasn't sure what to do at that exact moment just now. Then he suddenly jumped up making Violet bounce a little bit in surprise. He held out his hand for her and with her one hand still over her bruise she placed her free hand in his. With his help she was then off the ground and Violet said softly a little awkwardly,"Thank you.." Violet then took her free hand and brushed her dress off.
A couple of seconds went by and then she looked at him and asked,"How does it look?" Violet then lowered her hand letting him take a look at the bruise forming on her cheek.

When she put her hand in his, Christopher felt his stomach swoop, like it always used to when they had been dating. Merlin, it had been so long. He missed her a lot. But too much had happened. He started to wonder if they'd ever be something more again, but quickly shook it from his mind. He shouldn't think about that, especially not with her here. "Oh, er, not at all." It was the least he could do for kicking her in the face.
After a few moments, that felt way longer, of awkward silence, he was incredibly relieved when she changed the subject. However, he winced a little looking at her bruise. It didn't look good at all. With a little laugh, while still wincing, to keep conversation lighter, he said, "Well, erm...... It's pretty bad." The purple and blue spot above her right eye seemed to swell more and more by the second. "God, I'm sorry... You may want to have Soph- er, Mrs. Skylar check that out." The funeral last summer had proven her healing magic to be quite impressive after she knocked out his mum and then brought her back up.
Thinking about that day, and mostly his fight with Selina, he spoke up again, before she could turn back towards the house. "Hey... Do you... wanna sit?" he asked, nodding towards the endge of the lake, on a large rock easily big enough for the two to sit on without being too close for comfort. He had something important to say.

Violet's heart was racing more and more rapidly as the moments passed of being this close to him. Goodness it was so strange, actually having physical with one another. But....she didn't mind. In fact, she really missed it. And of course she would have loved nothing more than to tell Christopher that. But she thought that maybe that now really wasn't the best of all times to speak of such things. Guess it would just have to wait..for now.
When she saw him wince when he looked at her bruise Violet then heard him laugh a little trying to keep the mood up. She then said lightly,"Is it that bad?" When he told her that she should go and have Mrs. Skylar look at it Violet nodded her head and said,"Yes, yes you're right..I'll go do that.." Violet gave him a small smile and an awkward wave as she turned to go back towards Whitley.
But before she could even take a step he said something else. Violet turned her head back towards him after hearing his question. She looked away for a moment, her eyes traveling to the grass below her feet, and then she looked back at him. Violet then gave him a light nod and a small smile. "Sure.."

Leading the way, Christopher began heading towards the rock a little ways past the tree he was in earlier. He much would have preferred sitting up there, but he didn't really want to ask Violet to climb trees in her dress and weird shoe things that made her six inches taller than he actualy was. It almost made her his height. But she was still smaller by a few inches.
ANYWAY.
He sat down towards the edge of it, hoping to give her a little more than enough room for when she did join him. Being too close had already made things weird again, so he figured they should play it safe. "Look, I've been meaning to apologize. About yesterday... I acted like a real jerk. That was incredibly rude and I'm really sorry. And this morning too, I just ran off at Diagon Alley... That wasn't like me, and I really hope you can forgive me for it." Even though Selina had decided to stay upset after his apology to her, and act as though he'd killed her cat, maybe Violet would see how awful he felt about it. "I just haven't really been myself lately.. I'm just a little lost, but I think I'm starting to get back on track, and I'd really like it for thugs to be okay between us.... Even if we aren't ready to even really be close.. Or friends at all. I'd like to be friendly until we can work things out."
