Setting:

2007 – It is the summer everyone is on vacation.
We're in a small village, Julie, situated between a two huge, high, Rocky Mountains range, there's only one dirt road out of town.
A small group of exploring wizards is visiting this wizard village; the villagers don't mind their company, as long as they don’t interfere in their lives.

A Short History:

The team of exploring wizards go into the mountains everyday, to search for an ancient relic that used to belong to the four founders of magic. The group consists of ten witches and wizards, all between the ages of 20-50.

Characters:

- Every single character will need a bio.
- There will be four main characters.
- If you are one of the four main characters; you cannot double.
- If you are one of the made-up's you may double-up!
-No super powers... I will allow some powers if you will share the idea with me first.

Plot:

Isolated, the group have become very close. Ray James Hufflepuff and Kelly are 'best friends', as are Charlie Storms and Bianca Riches.
The four live in one of the houses, newly built, at the edge of Julie, a French village.

One night, a village meeting is held, and as the wizards and witches have been living in the village for a couple of years, the villagers ask them to come. A man had been found, dead in his house, with no mark on him, he had not been shot, poisoned, suffocated, stabbed or hung, in fact he was perfectly healthy, apart from the fact he was dead. The muggles police force have no idea how this could have happened, they are all baffled. The witches and wizards know otherwise, they can't help the muggles, because otherwise they'd have broken the International Statute of Secrecy. They do not know who killed the wizard and his family, until one day, when high up in the mountains, fifteen Dark Wizards are found searching for the same artifact the group of wizards are looking for. Who will arrive first to discover the artifact? What can this artifact do? Who will die in this quest? And what will our heroes figure out in this journey that will change their lives for ever?

Personality: Known to always listen to others before he makes any step, he has gained the position of Captain on the team. He is known to be very loyal and protective. He depends on his sister Kelly too much because he trusts her a lot.
Extra: Ray is the last descendant of Helga Hufflepuff. When he was young, he was taught how to tap into the Hufflepuff magic which allows him to use very experienced magic before wiping him entirely.
Ray’s family was killed when he was ten year old by Dark wizards that dreamed of gaining the Hufflepuff magic.
Last, Ray agreed to go on this journey after his chief ordered him to do so.

Appearance: Beautiful girl which sends fibs of power and strength, people always notice her long silky platine blond hair. She usually wears a pair of Jeans and a nice blouse. When it’s cold, she puts her silky black robe on top of her casual close.
Personality: Known to have a very kind persona however she forgets her kindness when she is angry. She is one of the smartest on the team and always has answers when it comes to magical items.
Extra: Kelly’s past is kind of flu, she can’t remember anything of her past, all she can remember is that she was raised by a muggle family when she was nine; before that it is all blank.
Kelly’s a graduate with full GPA and she is very well known to have answers to any question.
Last Kelly accepted the mission after she knew what she was after. She is the only person on the team that knows what they are searching for.

Usually everyone fears him and never argue with him... But at the same time everyone feels confort around him... He is known to be Ray's right hand
Personality: Conan has a very strong personality and is one of the best theorician in the world... He was one of the few people who discovered the reality about Ravenclaw secrets... He made a couple of theories about the birth of magic and he takes good pride in his work.

Kelly looked at Ray surprised by his reaction.
"Ray if you see yourself underneath this meeting please leave now, and by leaving I mean leaving the mission" Kelly said as she looked at Ray in the eyes. " If you decide to stay, please leave your silly comments for another time... Now let's get back to our subject... We have left our families, our country, our loved ones for quite a time now... Three years to be precise... We have searched all of Europe for a lost artifact that means a lot to some people back home. I chose each of you for a precise role, each of you have a talent the other don't possess and each of you are unique... We came on this mission and I was ordered to keep you in the dark... Today I decided that I shall reveal you the reason we are on this mission." Kelly said as she opened the book she placed earlier in front of her on the kitchen table.
"The Book of Ancient Stories... This book holds the secret of our mission... Today I called Conan to my room and asked him if he knew what this picture and symbol mean to him... And he explained to me what Jean couldn't... Thanks to this man... I understand what this picture means" Kelly continued as she flicked her wand and the picture in the book was magnified and was now showing on all the table above it the same symbol. The picture showed four shadows circling around an undeterminded object.
" The myth talk about five men that went searching for a legendary source of power. They searched all over the world for a year, but found nothing. One of them, deciding it was pointless, abandoned the search. When the four continued, Destiny figured they had been searching long enough, and it sympathized. Legend has it that Destiny gave each the power of their choice.
The youngest of the group wanted the powers of the Dark, and so the Dark Arts began. The oldest wanted a way to save everyone from pain and misery, and so Defense Against the Dark Arts began. The middle two asked each for the power to charm and transfigure objects, and thus charms and spells took birth. Legend also says that the fifth wizard died of grief once he heard the story of his other companions. His companions disappeared somewhere in Europe." Kelly told as short as possible. "The place in Europe is these mountains... Jean found some evidence about it and contacted me quickly... This was the reason for me to abondan the research in Bulgaria... Now to the main thing... We have been assigned to this mission to find this object... We don't know what it looks like... We don't know what it serves for... But we know dark wizards are after it as well and it must mean it is an important object... Tomorrow, we will begin the first expidition to the north mountain "Le Petit" everyone is going... This mean each one of you will be assigned a partner... Each will have to take there essentials... We are going to leave the safety that Ray provided to this house and we are going to face danger... This mission must end with us figuring out and finding the object... I'm not afraid we have one of the best wizard's and the last living person to be associated to a Hogwart's founder in the world, Ray... We have the best auror's we can managed to get... We have one of Hogwarts teacher... We have one of the most brilliant theoricians... And we have much more... Tomorrow at six o'clock in the morning we will move towards "Le Petit" and if we don't find a thing then we return to this village and we'll head towards the other mountain... The meeting is over you can eat now... You can chat about what I decided to do and what I revealed... And you can go to sleep... It's your choice... I just want everyone ready for tomorrow... Pack your stuff tonight... Good night." Kelly finished closed the book thus ending the spell and went straight to her room.
There, she started packing he most important stuff. After that she changed into her pyjamas and went to bed, turning the light by magic.
I understand you now... I understand She tought as her conscience turned it's light and dragged her to the lonliness of her mind.

Katy sat listening to Kelly's story, her body taut and her face rapt with attention. At Kelly's spell, the magnifying of the mysterious symbol, Katy stifled a gasp; her ears burned with the blood rising to her head, and her toes curled inside her boots, as if trying to anchor themselves to the wooden floor of the cottage. She had seen that symbol before! But no, it couldn't possibly be...that symbol was ancient, perhaps she was mistaking it for another symbol, something benign and harmless. But something small in her mind, some small glimmer of recognition, jumped up and down and clamored for another look at the symbol. She just had to see it again, to be absolutely sure...but she couldn't ask Kelly now. Not if she wasn't sure...she couldn't ask the captain of the mission! Maybe she had it somewhere in one of her books...glancing at the warm meal on the table, her churning stomach protested.

"I'm going straight up to bed, guys," Katy said, before pouring herself a flagon of butterbeer to take with her. "Got to get our beauty sleep!" She hoped she hadn't sounded too falsely cheerful, and hastened to the privacy of her bedroom.

Ray listened carefully at Kelly's speech, she had planned a mission all by herself... Kami had helped her one part of the mystery but what about the other... As he looked around, he noticed that Katy's facial expressions were shifting quickly, She knews something Ray thought.
"Okey people! You heard Kelly tomorrow we are going to leave this house that we just finished protecting!" He said raising his voice at the final words. "We are going to be in constant danger, I'm waiting some suggestions to have minimale encounters with strangers and enemies... I can't take this decision alone, so if you got anything please come see me in my room." He said as got up, gave a kiss to bianca and went up to his room, grapping a pencil and a paper, he started to fix pairs.

After Dinner, and after cleaning up, Bianca packed quickly then came to Ray's room, one thought burning in her head as she entered the room. "Sweetheart, if we're going to be leaving the protection here, I need permission to use my power on anyone I think could be a threat to us. We will need to know if anyone is against us." She said as she crawled onto the bed beside him. "I also had a thought about what we are looking for. It might be something that connects the Hogwarts founders. Maybe something that belongs to a common ancestor. After all, most magical families are related somehow." She said softly, wondering what Ray thought.

No I don't think so! I mean it looked to me much more ancient than Hogwarts and it's founders... But I will investigate on that... Please hang this paper on each door..." Ray said as he gave Bianca a piece of paper where he marked the pairs.

"Someone's been using too much magic today, your hair is almost as blonde as Draco Malfoy's." Bianca teased. "So were you surprised to come into a clean room?" She asked softly as she laid her head against his chest sleepily.

"Yes actually, I recieved a letter from headmistress McGonogall who tells me that my position at Hogwarts is safe, they did not even hire s substitute teacher, the headmistress herself has decided to substitute for me. She asks that while I am away, I take whatever time I need to decide what I want to do." Be-be sighed. "But I don't have to take time to decide that. I want to be your wife, I want us to finally be a family." She said so softly it was almost a whisper.

Ray smiled Bianca just had the same thought as he did and he suspected she used bit of legilimens. "I guess I'm not the best occlumens out there, Am I?" he said while laughing... "Yes I want to be your husband as well and have children and start a family but it is impossible right now... But I promise you as soon as we get back home... I will pop the question... I swear" And on that Ray went to the bathroom brushed his teeth and came back. Bianca was still inside the room and he thanked god... Tonight he was thinking of spending much more time with her, but that will remain uncertain until all the team is in bed...
He got a pencil and a paper and wrote a couple of notes, he took the paper and tapped it gently before releasing it as it disappeared...
"I just send a message to my house keeper, that I might be a little more late." He explained to Bianca before conjuring two cups of tea and hanging one to Bianca

Bianca looked Ray in the eyes, "I did not use my powers on you." She told him. "I just told you what was in my heart." She smiled. "I know it is, but I can't help wanting it." She blushed softly as he told her that he would propose when they got home. "I'm going to hold you to that Mr. Hufflepuff!" She teased, as he went to brush his teeth. She took a seat on the edge of his bed. When he came back into the room, she watched as he wrote a letter to his housekeeper. "Cool." She smiled as she accepted the cup of tea that he offered her and took a sip. "Peppermint tea, my favorite." She smiled as she leaned against him. "Ray, I just had a thought. Do you have a picture of Helga Hufflepuff anywhere around here?" She asked curiously.

Kelly woke up from her sleep, she couldn't sleep for more than half and hour, she decided that she needed compagny and got up from bed putting on her pink pyjama robe, she walked out of her room and headed straight to Charlie's while hoping he would be there. Two doors later, she was in front of Charlie's door. She knocked thrice and entered, the room was in total darkness, the only source of light now was Kelly's wand. Charlie was on the bed, not asleep but he seemed sunk in his thought that he didn't mind Kelly at all.
"Charlie are you okey honey?" Kelly asked as he entered the room closing the door. She waved her wand and the oil lamps lighted up. She sat on the bed and waited for Charlie to reply, tears gathering in her eyes.
Charlie had feel asleep, Kelly didn't notice it in the dark, she quickly turned around waving her wand again to turn of the lamps. Putting her hand on the door, she turned around and wispered "I love you Charlie Storm" and left the room.

Kami, already having heard what the talk was about, wasn't surprised. He had nothing to talk about, so he decided to go and see who he was partnered with. Steven. Well, that would work with Kami. He didn't have any complaints or suggestions, so he said goodnight to all, and left to his room.
As he went around his room packing things, he started to wonder what the object was. He really had no idea. It could be anything. Once he was finished packing, he got out his favorite history book and began to read. So what if he had written it. It was a good book, after all.
Half an hour later, he was fast asleep.

Helga Hufflepuff was the only person in the picture and she was smiling to everyone, her hair was tighed backwards and she was smiling like she always use too. Helga Hufflepuff was wearing her golden dress and her neckless. The only thing she was holding was a golden cup filled with a liquid. Behind her, the hufflpuff mansion was still standing in all his majesty.

Ray handed the picture to Bianca to see, while holding the book in his hand.
"So what do you thing of my greatest grandmother?" Ray asked.

She looked up at him, "I had an idea Ray, do you think she may be able to give us some idea as to what we a re looking for?" Bianca asked, then she noticed the book he held. "What's that?"

Well child Im afraid I can't tell you a think about it, maybe I will just help you out a bit... I think you must know by now the myth of the birth, what you don't know is the other part... The more sinister part of the story... Because you see child, when magic took birth it came in the form of a dark, old and forbidden type... A type I don't know how to practice or what is it called but it existed and it still exist because the other part of the story tells about an object that was created to contain that magic and that only the four founders can use... Im sorry child but this all I can tell you and all you will hear... Never speak of this again in front of me... I was an honor to meet you Bianca goodbye for now.

The picture shut up and it nevr spoke again, leaving Ray in complete astonishement.

Katy sat cross-legged and tense on her bed, rifling through the yellowed pages of a very old book, its spine curling away from the pages as if in disgust. All manner of old, new, Dark, and benign books covered the patched and frayed quilt. She had been searching through the night for the symbol with no luck.

Katy snapped the book shut in exasperation, a small cloud of dust blowing out of the book. Katy coughed and waved the dust out of her face. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. She hadn't gotten very far on her own; it was time for a little help.

Katy drew her rosewood wand and with a wave, all of the books flew back into her tiny, magically expanded suitcase. She drew a deck of tarot cards from a pouch on her waist, her oldest and most trusted deck. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, trying to still the tumult of her mind, and began to shuffle the cards. She thought only of the symbol; what is was, how she could learn more about it, what it held in store for them...she shuffled until tiny purple crackles of electricity bound her hands with the cards. With bated breath, she drew the first card and lay it on the bedspread.

The three of swords...three glimmering swords were emblazoned on the card; one of them piercing the side of a man, the other two poised to strike. Catastrophe, bad news...foreboding, Katy thought. She drew the second card.

The moon...a full, round ivory moon shone onto a black lake, the moon embraced by a beautiful woman. But Katy frowned slightly...the card was upside down...inverted. Lies, deceit...She drew the third and last card.

Death...a figure in billowing black shrouds walked a well-worn path, gleaming scythe in one hand. Death...a shift, drastic change....

Katy paused, her mind working frantically... change... change... transfigure... trans...transmute....

And then it hit her like the Knight Bus with bad brakes...a transmutation circle!

"Accio!" she cried, pointing her wand towards her suitcase. A tiny book bound in leather zoomed towards her. She caught it and flipped through the pages, nearly ripping them in her haste...and there it was, in all its glory. A transmutation circle. Ancient magic, forgotten, highly dangerous.

Katy's feeling of triumph deflated. But how did it relate to their mission? Was the object they were searching for inscribed with the symbol? She drew another card from the deck. Four of pentacles? No, that wasn't right. The Star? No, that's way off.... Katy fell back against the headboard, furious. She'd lost it...she knew what the symbol was now, but without knowing where it was leading them, how it would influence their mission, it was worth next to nothing! She pounded the pillow beside her with her fist, down feathers spurting out of it. Should she tell Kelly...No, she thought. It wouldn't even help. She would have to try again later, try to find out where this symbol would take them....

Bianca smiled as Ray's grandma blessed her. She shivered as Grandmother Hufflepuff told of the other side of magic. "So whatever this object is Darling, as a direct descendant of a Founder, that means that you will be the only one that can use it." Bianca said, understanding.

Nicole nodded as Kelly finished her speech. She smiled weakly to show encouragement, but no one really saw. She stood as the others started to talk amogst themselves.
"I'm going to head to bed, night." she said, not waiting for a response.
She climbed the stairs quietly, feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, but wasn't exactly sure why. She quickly packed her things and laid everything by the door so she was prepared for the morning ahead of time. She headed over to her bed and sat there for quite some time, drifting in and out of collective thought.

"Bianca I don't guess my greatest grandmother was talking about the four founders of magic, but about the four founders of magic... I need to make some researches but I guess now the best thing to do is to go to sleep so good night and see you tomorrow morning... I'm going to guard Kelly's room... So if you need me I will be in the end of the hallway... And Bianca protect your room from any kind of magical protection you guess is possible..." Ray said as he got up hugged Bianca and moved out of his room and posted next to Kelly's door, he saw Bianca leave the room and head towards her room.
I hope I get to marry you... Ray thought to himself.
