About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

Minerva looked up from her plate of food. "Eddy, your home." she got up and hugged her cousin. Looking at all her friends she smiled "This is my other cousin Edward, Leelee's brother. Eddy Leelee decided to have my friends over for a little cookout. I'm glad you made it back in time. This is Harvey, Taylor, Damon, Maxwell, Ella, Ronnie, and Trinity." yeah she hoped she got everyone.
Edward held Minnie for a moment then bent down and kissed the top of her head then smoothed down her hair. " Well, hello everyone. We do hope everyone has a good time." he smiled at the group.
Just then there was a knock on the doorjam. Justin peeked around the threshhold and saw Minerva Eddie and the others. Minnie's prank still fresh in his mind he wasn't sure if this was yet another one of her evil tricks.
" I hope I'm not too late. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it. thankyou for the invitation." he said with a tenative smile.

Ella smiled at Trinity, happy to meet her. "It's great meeting you." She said cheerfully. She turned away when the girl received a phone call, wanting to give her some privacy.
Ella was happy Taylor was having a nice summer, that was good. As for her question, Ella's summer had been okay. "Summer has been interesting. I have seen a lot of friends which is nice. Oh, and I bought a broom! Gah! I'm so excited about it." She said, bouncing a little. "I am looking forward to school though."
Ella smiled as Minerva told her who she liked. He seemed like a nice guy, though he did seem to like Taylor as well. That could be messy. Making eye contact with her friend, she gave her a reassuring smile. "He seems really nice, Min." As for the cookies, it was Ella's pleasure and plus, she had mostly done the frosting. Gran was more of the cookie baker.
As for food. Ella was pumped to eat something! She grabbed some food and put it on a plate, picking up a soda on her way back to the living room. Yum! Everything looked great. The music didn't hurt either, it almost made Ella want to dance. Almost.

Daniel smiled "Oh yeah good point before all the young ones take the seats. Yeah they do.. maybe this is what Minnie needed.. she seems to be more cheerful now that her friends are all here" he smiled as he looked around at all of them and then back to Leelee before he too started eating

Ella smiled and waved at Edward, thinking he seemed like a nice man. She was happy that Minnie had nice people to stay with, or at least they seemed pretty decent.
At Taylor's question, Ella smiled widely. "It's a Cleansweep 39. Apparently it goes pretty fast, which is wicked!" Yup, it was going to be fun riding that broom. "Minnie got the same one so we can practice together."
As for Minnie's question, Ella shrugged. "I'm not sure really, he did come to visit me at my house but I'm not sure when his aunt will be back. Maybe you could owl him an invite again? Maybe he'll come." Though Ella knew it was probably hard for Logan to be around his friends from Hogwarts, especially since he wasn't coming back.
Ella smiled when she noticed Justin had arrived. She hadn't seen him in quite a while but he was a nice Hufflepuff and it was always good to see a familiar face.
Tay smiled, "Nice broom." She nodded, "That is cool that you and Minerva are going to practice together." Taylor laughed, "So are you going to try out for the quidditich team?"

Ella smiled at Taylor, it was a nice broom. As for trying out, Ella wanted to but she was still fighting nerves. "I'm thinking about it, trying to be brave and all that. I just don't want to make a fool of myself." Not in front of her housemates and especially Captain Keefer!
Ella look at Minnie and gave her a reassuring smile, not wanting her to worry. "No, it's fine. I'd like to see him I just-with him leaving Hogwarts and everything it's been hard. Probably more hard for him than anyone else." Ella couldn't imagine not coming back to Hogwarts! It was home! "Thanks for looking out for me though." Ella imagined this was what having an older sister was like, them always looking out for you and all.
Minerva looked at Edward and frowned. She turned to Justin "Well you are family with her now and she hates Edward, so I.. Justin looked to the ground as he thought of how he would tell Minerva about what happened at home. Then his eyes met with hers again. " Let's just say I got tired of Kyle and her overbearing ways. Mum and I were doing just fine before she came along and flipped life as we know it upside down. So, I told both of them that it was me or Kyle who needed to leave. Kyle refused and so I left." Justin stated as he stood straighter and puffed out his chest.
" Well, had I known this was starting so soon I would have been here sooner. I hope that Gabby will swing by before this ends... I'd like her to meet my little protoge" Said edward proudly.

Minerva looked at him and frowned. "Well I'm not saying anything bad about them since they did help me last summer, but I just get the feeling there is something more going on with them then meets the eye." she didn't know if that was because she was with Edward and Leelee now or if she had always seen it. Something in her held back though, it could be a trap for her to talk more about her family to him so she left it at that.
Leelee glared at him. "Edward we have talked about this. Her friends are here, watch her more closely. She is nothing like us. She is a hufflepuff in all that it means. She could never be a tracker."
" To be honest I never really liked Kyle.... I just tolerated her for Mum. I think she sees it now too. I do still talk to her everyday though. Ya know to check in on her. And it's funny... Ame hasn't been around at all all summer. I don't know what is going on with her, but seemingly I don't much care. I think she was trying to trap me first year with that business with our bloody wands. " Jusin admitted.
Eward looked sternly at his sister before walking into the kitchen for drink.

Leelee shrugged, "It's the truth Edward and you know it."
"I can keep my balance now." He said with a chuckle, "But really, I've been good. How've you been?"

" Pleased to meet you , Ash. Justin Bilius Wellheart. but you can call me Just or Justin. " Justin said as he offered his hand to Damon. This is where Justin would size the new guy up. He didn't know him and he was going to find out as much about him as he could.

Minerva moved closer to Damon and went to whisper in his ear who Justin was, but Damon decided to introduce himself. Okay, so this is how it's going to start. She glanced towards Maxwell.. You have your awkwardness now I have mine she thought. She glared towards Justin with a warning look, be nice or you will be doing something worse then puking she thought. Minerva held her breath a bit, but Justin was nice. She gave him a relaxed look and leaned in towards Damon anyway. "Well that was nice of you." she whispered.
