About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

He chuckled at what Minnie said, "I'm sure that won't be nesacary." He smiled at her, then turned back to him, "Aw, there's why then, I was born in raised in France." His Irish accent showed strongly, "And as I'm sure the accent gives away, I'm pure Irish." He looked at him, "My prime language, then came the french and english. Minerva smiled and blushed at bit at Damon as he addressed her. They were getting along nicely, so she decided to forget making plans to poison Justin in the near future for now. "Justin there is food in the kitchen if you would like some." She got up, "I'm going to get a diet coke, anyone want anything?"

Minerva got the kitchen and turned and hugged him. "Thank you for making that not as awkward." she said with a smile. "Leelee says we were best friends before we need to be now. His family helped me a lot last summer." she picked up her Diet Coke and handed him a water.
Damon looked at her, "Hasn't Leelee heard that friendships end all the time?" He sighed, "So please, I've been wondering since he introduced himself. He is the one you were throwing rocks at his head isn't he?" He said with a chuckle.

Minerva sighed "Yes he is the one, I actually gave him a joke candy just yesterday. It's hard not to be friends with him. See before I met you guys I hung around with the same three people. Justin, Harvey, and Ame. So I'm bound to run into him again and again, plus he is in our house. He's not such a bad guy, just not a great break up I guess."
Damon shook his head, "That I can somewhat understand I suppose." Though it wasn't fully the same, she had to see Justin all the time, luckily she liked him a little more than Damon did the guy he was stuck with.

Minerva smiled "I feel I can tolerate him a little more now that he has a thing for Ronnie, so that's why I decided not to just kick him back out of the house when he came to the door." she sighed a bit, then smiled "see I can be nice when I want, it's when someone crosses me that I get a little hot headed." she blushed a bit. He had been hearing about all the jokes she was pulling on people, so she thought she might add that.
Damon chuckled, "Well, I know you aren't alway mean. You're always so polite to me." He smiled at her, "I couldn't think you could be at all if it weren't for some of the stories you told me."

Minerva blushed "Well thank you, but I can get to be a brat when I'm mad. I'm worse with a wand. My first year I thought our entire group was going to be expelled from my hot head." she blushed a bit again. "Edward says that I get that from their side. It's about the only thing I get from them. He says I have talent for the tracking, but I think he's crazy."

Minerva looked at him and looked down. "No they have their own business. Leelee is looking into getting a job at the ministry now that I'm here. It's kind of a family business I guess. They work with wizards and muggles." she shook her head in disgust for it.
"What's so wrong with working for both?" He looked at her confused, hoping he was getting that wrong and that she wasn't upset about them helping both magical and non-magical people. Mainly because he was a half-blood.

Minerva looked at him. "Damon maybe you don't know what they really do. They help people ..." she looked around not able to say it completely. "they help people kidnap or take people." she looked down ashamed. "If it wasn't for them my last summer wouldn't have been as dreadful as it was. They were working for the muggles after my family. Of course when they figured out it was us, they stopped right away. See they tell me they never know everything about the person nor the family they work for. They don't actually do the taking either. They locate and then tell whomever they are working for and then leave it alone." she looked at him hoping he would not think any less of her for living with such people.
Damon looked at her, somewhat frightful, "Help kidnap..." He shook his head, memories came flashing back to the week he had met Taylor, that dreadful news... How he'd helped her sneak out to see what was really going on... The day she'd found out someone had kidnapped her baby sister and not even a week later had killed. He bit his lower lip, what he seemed to do when he was nervous. He didn't know whether Min knew about that or not, but... What if her cousins were the ones who had snatched poor innocent Carina and sent her off to the kidnappers?

Harvey smiled "No worries Mins.. yeah I can see that.. dont worry I wont.. and besides I know what will happen to me if I do" he smiled.. he looked at the little group "Besides.. you need other people to hang out with besides me.. Ame and Justin arent around as much anymore.. well Justin is back.. but other than him you are stuck with me.. but its good to see that you have other people to hang out with" he smiled.. yeah they were best friends.. but come on he knew that she must get bored of his company sometimes.. and even if she didnt.. it was better for her to make new friends.. ones that saw her for what she is.. not what she was.. since he kept making that mistake.

" Min, I'm not here to spy on anyone. I came because your cousin invited me and so that we could maybe have a good time. Plus, I've already told you that I wouldn't bring up what happened to your family. " he said sweetly.
Harvey smiled as he shook Justin's hand "Good to see you too.. yeah I am too.. its good to see friends in one place having a good time" he smiled as he thought of this.. he hoped that the two could get on but only time would tell.

Damon smiled, "Well, like I said which ever works better for you. I've gotten used to both, Min calls me Damon, Taylor calls me Ash... It's about half and half with my family in exception to my uncle and my brother..." He sighed, "My uncle just calls me brat." He chuckled, "And Rowan, my brother, calls me Day constantly... Please don't take either of those routes because I despise both equally."

Ella smiled at Taylor, appreciative of the encouragement. It seemed that everyone had faith in her abilities except for Ella. She needed to work on that. Picking up her soda, she took a sip and looked around, taking in the group. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves which was good. "So Taylor, excited to be going back? I can't wait for term to start."

They never go near the person it's about just help locate." she looked away. "That's how I met them. They helped locate me at a dance competition and then when I was being used to get the rest of my family out of hiding Eddy came to the house to collect the last of his money. He saw me and froze. I guess he didn't put the last name together since he was working for muggles, but my dad was a muggle." she looked down. "You must think my family is horrid."

Leelee smiled at Daniel "Sorry, you know Edward and I have not seen eye to eye about Minerva's future." she sighed when she heard a conversation going on in the kitchen. It was Minerva talking about their business. She sighed, she didn't want to think about the memories last summer and the stupid mistake they made.

That did calm Damon down a little bit, "You don't know any of the..." He didn't know how to say it, "Do you have any idea if they were ever asked to track a Carina?" He didn't want to say her last name because that would give it away, but the first name was unique so chances were she'd remember it from that.
Tay smiled at Ella, "Yeah I am and neither can i." She grinned, "It would be good to get away from my mother and Jack but if i have to deal with drama between Damon and Maxwell i dont know what i will do." She grimaced.
