About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

Minerva shrugged and sat back on the couch. "Nah I guess she isn't, it's just awkward is all. She tries to be my mom, then my friend, then who knows. When she is even here. Edward and her have their own business and travel, but since I've been here she has decided to stay in the area only doing local stuff." she rolled her eyes.
Ronnie laughed. "I'm totally fine with it. I'm sooo glad I didn't have to go back and live with them. They're so annoying." she said rolling her eyes. She smiled. "Thanks Minnie, that's very nice of you!" she said, hugging her friend.

Ella smiled widely when Minnie opened the door, happy to see her friend again. "Hey! I'm glad to be here." She said cheerfully, laughing as she was pulled into the room. Glancing around, she saw some familiar faces and a new one as well. "Hey Harvey! Hi Ronnie! Nice to see you guys!" She said happily, waving to the two. "Taylor, hey! How are you?" She asked the girl she hadn't seen in a while, hoping she was having a nice summer. As for Damon, she hadn't met him yet but had seen him around school. "Hi Damon, it's really nice to meet you." Ella said sincerely, smiling before finding an empty seat and placing the cookies she had made down. When another girl entered, Ella waved at her, happy to meet another new person.

Minne was happy to see Ella smile she had worried about her friend. She leaned closer to Ella so no one else would hear "Damon's the boy I was telling you about." then she saw the cookies "Thanks for the cookies Ella, I will take them to the kitchen." she took Ella and Trinity's cookies off to the kitchen and set them on the table. Rolling her eyes at the love birds as she walked back out. Coming back into the room she saw Taylor hugging Ella and Minerva was happy that her friends were all getting along. She was so nervous bringing her old and new friends together.

Minerva was watching Harvey as he talked to Damon then she saw him glance at her. That made her a little uneasy, he knew how much she liked Damon, of course he was her best friend. So what was he up to she thought with the look he gave her. Oh Harvs don't embarrass me in front of him she thought.

"am I missing anything?" she looked around and flicked her wrist having the plates, napkins, sliver ware, and cups come to the counter. She shook her head as Daniel came back to the room. "I feel I'm standing in a muggle kitchen on the forth of July in America right now." she laughed then thought she might have to explain. "Min's parents always had a party for the fourth, I took food items I could remember from their house to come up with the menu today. Did you tell the children?"

Harvey saw another boy entered and smiled as he was introduced "Hi Maxwell.. nice to meet you .. as Minnie said I am Harvey" he said offereing his hand to shake.
Daniel laughed "Cheesy is the new way.. didnt you know that?" he chuckled jokingly as he went to the room to tell all the kids Leelee's message "OK all you youngsters.. the food is ready and its so quiet in this room... time to put on some music!! Minerva got up when Daniel came in. 'Thanks Daniel." looking at all her friends she smiled "I'm going to go get something to eat, anyone want to join?" she headed for the kitchen. Once in the kitchen she looked at Daniel and Leelee then to the food. "Wow this is great." Minerva couldn't believe all the food she could see. "It's just like home." she whispered to nobody.
"No, I didn't know that." she smirked at him. Fixing her dress and making sure no food had dropped on it while she was making things. "Well I'm glad you like the food, I hope they do. If they are anything like Minerva they will be hard to please" she smirked. "Go get some food." she took her own place taking some items as she saw Minerva walking into the kitchen.

Well I dont think they will be hard to please and besides you have put alot out there.. alot of choice" he smiled "Get some food? now? cant I stay with you for a while?" he asked but then he thought it best to listen to her so he made his way to the food .. as Minerva entered to get some food.. he put some food onto his plate.. and at the same time not being able to decide what else to have

Daniel couldnt help but laugh at Minerva's comment "I think I have made my choice" he smiled.. he was referring to Leelee.. but they didnt need to know that.. that was his thought no-one else's.. he looked at Minerva again.. it was good to see her laugh.. he then looked round as Leelee told him to go to where she was.. he also put his food down and looked at her.. thinking that maybe they were going to talk about grown-up stuff. "Yes sweetheart.. what is it?" he asked smiling wondering what they were going to talk about.. hoping he hadnt done anything wrong or crossed any line.
Harvey then entered and starting filling his plate "This alot of food! wow" he smiled "How you doing? you seem to be having fun" he smiled "Its good to see you having fun without any joke items or your wand" he was sincere in what he said.. no jokes or funny comments or anything.. they were mostly for himself anyways.. and with everyone here especially Damon.. he had better try and keep away from all of that.. no more jokes or funny comments.. rubbish or not.. around Damon he thought
Minerva smiled "Well I'm glad your happy, that's all that counts." she looked at the party and then back "Hey I am not sure who Leelee all invited, you don't know if Justin is coming do you? Since the break up we haven't been on the best terms, but Leelee thinks I need to just be nice since we were such good friends last summer."

Minne was happy to see Ella smile she had worried about her friend. She leaned closer to Ella so no one else would hear "Damon's the boy I was telling you about." then she saw the cookies "Thanks for the cookies Ella, I will take them to the kitchen." she took Ella and Trinity's cookies off to the kitchen and set them on the table. Rolling her eyes at the love birds as she walked back out. Coming back into the room she saw Taylor hugging Ella and Minerva was happy that her friends were all getting along. She was so nervous bringing her old and new friends together.
Minerva was watching Harvey as he talked to Damon then she saw him glance at her. That made her a little uneasy, he knew how much she liked Damon, of course he was her best friend. So what was he up to she thought with the look he gave her. Oh Harvs don't embarrass me in front of him she thought.
Leelee just laughed at Daniel "You know dear you can be very cheesy at times." she gave him a joking look. "Just go in and turn some music on, oh never mind." she said pulling her wand. She flipped her wrist and music began to play in the house. "Just go tell them food is ready while I finish putting out the drinks. She went to the fridge pulling out drinks. "Okay I have pumpkin juice, butter beer,and of course coke products for Minerva's muggle liking." she looked at the table "Hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, cheese slices, ketchup, mustard, salt and vinegar chips, regular chips, tortilla chips and salsa, cookies, salad, cheesy potatoes, bake beans." she said to herself. "am I missing anything?" she looked around and flicked her wrist having the plates, napkins, sliver ware, and cups come to the counter. She shook her head as Daniel came back to the room. "I feel I'm standing in a muggle kitchen on the forth of July in America right now." she laughed then thought she might have to explain. "Min's parents always had a party for the fourth, I took food items I could remember from their house to come up with the menu today. Did you tell the children?"
Minerva went to the door and smiled. "Hey Maxwell how are you? Come in everyone is in the living room right now. She walked back into the living room with Maxwell. "Okay you know Damon, Taylor, Trinity, I'm not sure if you know Ella, Harvey, or Ronnie." she looked at everyone, "if anyone doesn't know Maxwell, well he's Maxwell." she giggled. She was in such a good mood at the moment. She had all her friends around, well most of them at least. It was so much fun to see them at her house.

Maxwell said shaking the boy's hand. Almost anyone who offered to shake hands was instantly in with Maxwell.
