Vianna looked over the menu with a slightly creased forehead, as if reading the words over and over again would somehow magically make her understand the foreign language they were written in. She looked up as Ferris suddenly got up to his feet and joined her side, then asking her what she was in the mood for. Vianna smiled faintly and looked off into space thoughtfully. "Hmmm! I want... I think I will go with soup today," she said. |
Ferris watched her think with amusement in his eyes, before listening as she finally gave the answer that she wanted soup that afternoon. "Alright," he said, searching her menu for a moment before pointing to the list of soups. "Let's see....They've got a tomato soup, a chicken soup, a mushroom soup...A..Spicy beef soup, and...a shrimp soup," he told her, pointing out each individually with his finger, leaning close to the girl with a slight smile. |
Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly as Ferris began listing down all the different types of soup the restaurant had to offer, her crystal blue eyes following his finger as he pointed at each. The young girl's brows furrowed thoughtfully as he finished the list, taking a moment to decide before announcing, "I want the shrimp soup," she said with a grin, as if proud to have been able to make a selection. |
Ferris could only smile admiringly at the girl as she proudly announced that she wanted the shrimp soup, giving a small nod. "Alright then," he said with a soft chuckle, leaning back into the booth as he looked at the menu for himself. "Hmmm..." he murmured softly, "I think I'll get a sandwich." Just then, the waitress appeared and Ferris gave a polite smile before ordering for the both of them, watching as the woman wrote it all down before providing them with some bread and butter for an appetizer. Ferris simply leaned back against the booth, turning his head to look at the girl next to him, smiling just slightly. OOC: I'm off Deeeeee Derupers! Byyyyyeeee! :bye: |
Vianna smiled as she watched Ferris examine his own menu before making his own selection of a sandwich. Her eyes left him, though, as the waitress then arrived asking for their orders before then providing them with bread and butter. Vianna took a piece of bread into her hand and took a small bite from it, slightly hungrier than usual since they hadn't really eaten anything before leaving the hotel room (ooc: I can't remember). The young girl stared at the appetizer absentmindedly as she continued eating her bread slowly before turning to Ferris, only to catch the boy looking at her with a smile on his face. Vianna smiled sheepishly, growing slightly flustered. "What...? Do I have breadcrumbs on my face?" she asked, immediately bringing her free hand up to the side of her mouth. ooc: Byeeee, Rutherssss! :bye::glomp: |
Ferris couldn't help but be completely charmed by the girl as she grew flustered as she so often did, bringing up one of her hands to cover the side of her mouth as she asked if she had breadcrumbs on her face. He let out a soft chuckle, setting down the menu in order to remove her hand from her cheek, holding it in his own before leaning over to her. He placed a small kiss to her lips before breaking apart and adding another to her soft cheek, "I love you Vi," was all he said as he held onto her hand with his left one and grabbed a piece of bread with his right as though nothing had just occured. |
Now both somewhat flustered and growing rather confused, Vianna stared at Ferris blankly with wide eyes as he got a hold of her hand and placed a kiss on her lips before awarding her another on the cheek. A smile slowly grew on the girl's face and she beamed at the boy beside her when he told her he loved her before moving on like nothing had just happened. She giggled lightly at this. "I love you too, Professor," she told him, her smile growing slightly as she watched the boy for a moment before looking away and finishing her bread. ooc: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! |
OOC: HAPPY HALLOWEEENNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ferris kept his smile on his face as he gently released her hand in order to tear his bread, taking a piece and putting it into his mouth, enjoying the small snack that quenched his hunger. But he was really looking forward to his sandwich, he hadn't eaten all day, and...Ferris liked to eat. He turned his head to look at Vianna as she told him that she loved him also, causing his smile to widen, "Glad to hear it." He then turned back to his bread, finishing it up by tearing it into a number of pieces and popping each individually into his mouth. The boy then realized that he should be on the other side of their table, and started to stand up, feeling a little stupid for forgetting. |
Vianna finished her bread quickly as there wasn't that much left, and wiped the crumbs from her hands with a napkin. But she was distracted from this task as the boy beside her began to stand with obvious intentions to leave her side; Vianna's forehead creased slightly at this. "Don't go, Professor," she said, her eyes wide like a little kid pleading to have their favourite toy back. |
Ferris was just taking his first step towards his real seat when he heard Vianna's words, asking that he didn't leave her side. He turned back around, a mixture of surprise and amusement in his eyes as his gaze fell upon the girl still sitting in her booth. And there were those blue eyes that constantly got him to do anything and everything for the girl, willingly, as it was often what he wanted as well. And this was one of those times. He gave a warm smile before nodding and taking his new seat next to the girl. It was only moments later when the waitress returned with their food, placing a large bowl of shrimp soup in front of Vianna and then placing a huge chicken sandwich before Ferris. OOC: Off for twenty minutes or so! |
Vianna smiled triumphantly as Ferris gave in to her request, returning to her side as she had asked. She giggled lightly to herself, much like the lovestruck schoolgirl that she was before diverting her attention to the waitress that arrived at that moment. Her smile widened as the woman placed the bowl of shrimp soup before her and then proceeded to place Ferris's own meal before the boy. Vianna's eyes widened slightly at the sight but she soon returned her attention to her soup, beginning to take the first spoonful of it. ooc: Okay! ^_^ |
Ferris had no more outside thoughts other than on his delicious-looking sandwich as he started to eat. The boy ate for the next few minutes straight, occasionally taking a sip or two of water, and finished after about ten minutes or so. He leaned back contentedly into the booth, resting his hands over his stomach and folding them gently with a smile. "I do enjoy food," he told the girl next to him, turning his eyes to her with a warm, amused smile. |
Vianna was only halfway through her shrimp soup when Ferris took the last bite from his sandwich and leaned back, all finished after only ten minutes. As he announced that he enjoyed food, Vianna chuckled softly. "I see that," she agreed with an amused smile and a nod before returning her attention to her own food. It probably took her another ten minutes to finish up all of the soup, leaving the bowl empty. It wasn't nearly half as fast as the boy beside her, but she still felt pretty surprised with herself as she usually took longer than twenty minutes to finish her food. "That was great," she said with a grin, all hunger she felt earlier now completely gone. |
Ferris always felt tired after eating a big meal, and this drowsiness came to him as he watched Vianna finish up her soup with a warm smile, amused at how fast he ate in comparison with her. "I'm glad you liked it," he said with a small nod as the girl mentioned that the food was great. He sat up slightly, letting out a bit of a yawn before pulling out his wallet. "What do you say we go back to the hotel and take a nap?" he suggested, half-kidding, but half serious as he pulled out a few bills and set them on the table. |
Vianna turned to Ferris as the boy suggested they head back to the hotel and take a nap. Her eyebrows rose slightly at this suggestion, but she smiled in amusement, not too surprised anymore. "Sure, let's go," she agreed, but mostly because she was feeling somewhat tired herself, though not too much. |
Ferris grinned as the girl surprisingly agreed to take a nap with him in the middle of the day, giving a small nod with amusement in his eyes. He then stood up, giving her a hand out of the booth before heading out of the restaurant at her side. Outside, there seemed to be a good number of clouds, cooling down the air to a bit of a chill. He let out a small smile, taking in a breath before heading down the street with Vianna, his hand intwined with hers. |
Vianna looked up at the sky as they walked outside on the crowded streets. But remembering her bad luck with multitasking while walking crowded streets, then young girl soon returned her attention to the crowds around them, being careful not to crash into anyone as she often did. "Y'know, back at Hogwarts and even during those few days at camp, I never used to take naps," she said suddenly, her brows furrowing as she built the statistics in her head. "I used to nap a lot when I was little, though. And you, Professor?" she asked, now turning to the boy beside her. |
Ferris listened with a slight smile as the girl holding his hand spoke, telling him that she never used to take naps at Hogwarts or at camp, though she used to a lot when she was little. He turned his gaze to her as she asked what his history with naps was like. "Well," he started, turning his eyes back to the street in front of them as he had no desire to run into anyone either, "At Hogwarts I never had time for naps. I barely got my few hours of sleep at night." He let out a soft chuckle, remembering. "I was usually taking at least two more classes than I should've been, sometimes three, and that meant a lot more homework. So I had the classes all day long, then I did my homework for most of the night, and then I went to bed," he explained. "And if I did have any spare time, it was spent in the library or outside reading," Ferris added as an afterthought. "And when I was little...I used to take a few naps every now and then. My mother would usually convince me into them. But...It was never a huge habit of mine." |
Vianna couldn't help but smile widely as Ferris explained to her how he barely had time to nap during his years at Hogwarts as he was usually too busy attending more classes than the average student and getting his homework done at night. It wasn't necessarily that she found his busy schedule amusing, but it just seemed like such a typical-Ferris lifestyle to lead, that it amused the young girl. She listened quietly as he then went on to explain his naps as a young boy and her eyebrows rose slightly. "I would've thought it was," she said, honestly surprised. |
Ferris let out a small laugh as the girl expressed her surprise that naps weren't necessarily a habit when he was a child. "Well, my mum tried to make them a habit, but...Once I learned to read, there wasn't much stopping me," he explained to her with a slight smile. "She'd try to put me in bed, but I'd always had a book under my pillow to pull out the second she left the room." He gave a rather mischeivous smile, as though this act of sneaky reading was as delinquent-esk as stealing. OOC: Off for a few minutes! |
ooc: Okay! :lol: Vianna laughed aloud as Ferris so proudly admitted to spending his nap time reading instead of sleeping, as if it was a crime. "I could just imagine it," she said with a smile, nodding her head slightly as little Ferris came to mind sitting in bed reading while his mother thought he was sleeping. She chuckled softly once again, amused by how different their lifestyles had always been, yet they were able to get along and understand each other so well. |
Ferris smiled admiringly at the girl who seemed to find his childhood ways so amusing, "And what was my Vi like as a little kid?" he asked her as the rounded the corner to step onto the street that led to their hotel. He gazed around at all of the people set about on their way for a moment before his curious brown eyes returned to her with a smile. |
Vianna looked up at Ferris as the boy asked her about her own childhood and she smiled sheepishly, returning her gaze to the crowded streets. "I don't know... a lot like I am now, I think. I was addicted to broom races. And though my mum forbid me from riding my broom, I would always sneak out and join the races anyway. There was a time when I started rebelling about my clothes, too; Mum always dressed me in girly dresses and pretty shoes, I hated it. So I'd usually go to my brothers' room and change into their clothes instead. Mum didn't like it at first but eventually learned I just wasn't going to grow up to be the little princess she wanted me to be," said the young girl with a smile, though she couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty for all the worry she caused her mother as a child. |
Ferris listened quietly as the girl holding onto his hand began to speak, telling him about how she was a lot like she is now. He smiled slightly as she started, mentioning that she was completely obsessed with broom races and even though her mother forbid it, she snuck out to join them anyway. He could just imagine a young Vianna sneaking out of her home in order to race a bunch of other kids. He then listened as she continued, mentioning how her mother used to dress her up in girly dresses and little pretty shoes, that she hated. He let out a soft chuckle at this, as he could never imagine Vianna as one of those girls who wore things like that. But it was her next comment about sneaking into her brothers' room and wearing their clothes that really amused him. "Well," he said, just as they reached the hotel. "I'm really glad you didn't turn out to be one of those little princesses," he told her, placing a warm kiss to her forehead and admiring the casual clothes she was wearing now. Ferris then opened the door to the lobby for her, leading her inside and toward the elevator. |
Vianna chuckled softly at Ferris's reply, smiling as the boy's lips met her forehead. As they walked into the elevator, the young girl pressed the button to their floor, suddenly quite eager to get to the hotel room already. Maybe it was because she felt that sleeping would make the day pass faster and the following day would arrive sooner, which meant she would have her beloved squirrel back. As the elevator came to a halt and the doors opened to allow them outside, Vianna dragged the boy beside her out and pulled out the keys to her room, then opening the door. |
