Kayla raised her eyebrows at Vince for a moment, before giving him a smile. "Of course you did, Vince." She said, her tone of voice almost as if she were talking to a very young child. "So, you don't want anymore of that?" Kayla asked in a normal voice once more with a chuckle. |
Vince shot Kayla a look as the young girl addressed him as if he was a child. "No, I don't want any more," he replied dully, not aware of how childish he looked. "Anyway, are you gonna order anything for your brother?" |

Ferris nodded with a smile as Vianna promised that she would rescure his curly locks from Fluffy's wrath, though his smile faded as she called him CurlyHead. His eyes narrowed playfully at her, "What is it about that one embarrassing nickname that you love so much? Can't you stick to the ones I like to hear from you? Professor, Fer...anything but that." He gave her a small half-smile, studying her features as he gazed up at her. |
ooc: :xd:! That's okay. ^_^ Vianna looked down at Ferris with amused eyes as he began complaining about her use of what he considered to be an embarrassing nickname. The young girl laughed lightly before replying, "I don't know, it just really... fits you. CurlyHead." She smiled and resumed her playing with his hair, pulling at one of his curls gently and watching it bounce back to place with amused eyes. "You've really got adorable hair, Professor. A lot of my cousins have curly hair but it's not as flexible and soft as yours... I really like it." |
"Whatever," Kayla said. "It'll be your loss when you get hungry again." She said, shaking her head at Vince's immaturity. She nodded at his question, and soon a waiter had appeared. She once more did her best to order it, and with a nod, he left. |
Vince watched with amusement as Kayla addressed the French waiter, watching as the young man then left before returning his gaze to the girl before him. "French suits you," he said with an approving nod. "But I think Italian would sound even better," he added, of course ever being the arrogant one. |
"Fits me?" Ferris repeated with a light chuckle as she told him that the nickname 'curlyhead' fit him. Well, technically it did, but...did he look like someone named 'curlyhead'? He shook his head slightly in amusement at her reasoning, now focusing on the gentle tugging of her fingers in his hair and his smile widened. He looked around at the park, watching the people, the children, the pets, until he heard her next statement. His eyes returned to her and his smile grew as she told him she really liked his hair, letting him know that none of her cousins' hair was as flexible or soft. He looked up at her lovingly as she told him his hair was adorable, letting out a light chuckle at the word, "Well thank you, my gem. I try to keep it extra soft just for you. If it wasn't so soft, who would run their fingers in it?" He put on a face of mock fear at the thought. OOC: I'm gone for half an hour or so! Sorry! :( |
Vianna giggled as Ferris playfully replied that he tried his best to keep his hair extra soft just for her. "I feel so special!" she said, smiling down at him for a moment before looking up at the scenery once again. "Hey, Professor... after this, do you want to go exploring?!" she asked, grinning down at the boy, her childlike curiosity lighting up her eyes. It had been a while since she last did any exploring. ooc: Awwww, it\'s okay, Ruthers!! We\'ll be here! :glomp: |
Kayla smiled, turning back to Vince. "Thanks," she said, smirking. "Oh? Italian?" she asked. "I\'ll just have to learn it, then. I mean, just \'cause you want me to." Kayla said sarcastically. |
"As you should," he said with a small nod as she told him she felt special. He smiled warmly at her before turning his eyes to the lovely green leaves of the tree above them, watching as they swayed in the wind. He took a deep breath, feeling extraordinarily comfortable where he was, a smile still on his face. He turned his eyes back to her as she spoke once more, asking if he wanted to go exploring after this. He eyed her grin, watching as her eyes seemed to light up and he let out a chuckle, "Alright, we will." He gave another small nod, which made the squirrel on his head stand up, tired of all this movement. He walked over Ferris\'s face and sat on his chest, turning to just stare at the boy as though accusing him of disrupting his all-important slumber. Ferris\'s brows furrowed as he stared back at the squirrel\'s little black eyes, feeling rather violated that the squirrel had chosen his face as a route of transportation. "Vi...your squirrel seems to be angered," he said softly, his eyes not leaving the squirrel. OOC: One more... |
ooc: :lmao: Okay! Vince\'s eyebrows rose at Kayla\'s words, obviously not reading her sarcasm. "Yeah, that\'s right! I say so, so you have to do it," he said with a grin, finding it quite nice that the girl seemed to go along with what he wanted so easily. "I\'ll even help you if you want, you\'ll be speaking like a native Italian in no time!" Vianna looked surprised as Ferris agreed to her idea of going exploring later on; after what happened last time he agreed to go exploring with her, she expected him to deny the idea without even giving it a thought. But before she could enjoy her victory, Fluffy had awoken and very carelessly walked all over Ferris\'s face as he made his way over to the boy\'s chest. Vianna went into a fit of giggles as the little squirrel stared at Ferris almost challengingly. "Aw, Fluffy!" she said, an amused smile on her face as she took the little squirrel into her hands. "Did that big, mean boy wake you up?" she cooed to the furry little creature, bringing it up against her cheek and petting it lovingly. Fluffy welcomed all the spoiling and placed his tiny paws on Vianna\'s cheek for a moment, as if hugging the girl before snaking his way out of her hands and back to the green grass. |
Ferris\'s jaw fell slightly as Vianna picked up her pet lovingly, cooing to it and calling him a big mean boy for waking up the creature. "Did you just call me a...?" His eyes narrowed playfully and he sat up, turning so he could snatch her waist quickly but gently and pull her down next to him. He pulled her into his chest, locking her safely in his arms as he buried his face in her neck, "Big mean boy, eh?" he said playfully into her hair. He placed a kiss on her jaw before tickling her sides softly, "How did I become the mean guy in this situation?" he said to her with a chuckle. |
"Oh jeez," Kayla said. "Predictable." She murmured to herself. "Yeah, that\'d be brilliant." Once again she spoke with sarcasm that most likely wouldn\'t be picked up by the boy in front of her. |
Vianna\'s eyes left Fluffy and widened in Ferris\'s direction as the boy suddenly sat up, then proceeding to pull her back down to the grass with him. But the smile returned to her face as he held her close, burying his face in her neck which rather tickled at first, but she learned to ignore the urge to giggle. "Well, you woke little Fluffy up when he was in the middle of a nap!" she said in response to his question, her eyes gazing up at the blank, starless sky. "He was probably in the middle of a really nice dream where he was just reaching the highest point of a very tall tree, and then... it\'s gone! Poor Fluffy..." "Okay, this time I can tell you\'re being sarcastic," said Vince, finally reading the sarcasm in her voice for once. But it was rather obvious this time. The boy then began absentmindedly fidgeting with the spoon he didn\'t use as they waited for the waiter to return with their order. "Have you written to your parents at all since we left camp?" he asked, his eyes distractedly gazing at his own hand playing with the spoon on the table. |
Ferris smiled lovingly down at the girl as she explained that Fluffy had probably been in the middle of a very nice dream when he was so rudely awoken by all of Ferris\'s movements. "Oh, but it was an accident," he defended, still in a slightly teasing tone as he held the girl close. He kept his chin on her shoulder, speaking to her softly as there was no need to talk any louder with their proximity. "I had no real intentions to wake up the little thing," he added, "Besides, he needs to run off all those marshmallows." He grinned slightly at his last statement. |
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris defended himself, her gaze watching the clouds absentmindedly as they made their way through the dark sky. She then gave a playful dramatic gasp as Ferris mentioned that Fluffy needed to run off all the marshmallows he had just eaten. "Are you accusing my squirrel of being unhealthy, Professor?" she said, turning to give him a mock disapproving look. She was rather caught off-guard, though, not having expected to find him so close though she knew he had been there all along. She watched him for a moment and looked up at the sky again. "He\'s going to be a very athletic little squirrel, just like me!" |
"I\'m accusing your squirrel of getting fat," Ferris corrected teasingly, adding a grin to his expression and letting out a light chuckle. He raised his eyebrows as Vianna told him that Fluffy was going to be very athletic, just like her. "Well, you better keep him off those marshmallows then," he joked with her, knowing he shouldn\'t be teasing her about her squirrel so much, but he just loved seeing her reactions. Plus, he didn\'t mean anything by it really. He kissed her cheek gently as it was right next to him, enjoying their proximity. |
Vianna\'s jaw dropped and she turned her head to shoot Ferris a dirty look as he clarified that he was accusing her precious and beloved squirrel of getting fat, before adding that she had better keep him off the marshmallows. "You\'re mean, Professor!" she accused, her eyes disapproving. "Fluffy\'s not fat and he\'s not going to get fat; he\'s a very hyperactive squirrel, he burns the calories off easily," she said, returning her gaze to the sky, though she didn\'t seem amused as she now began to wonder about her squirrel\'s unhealthy eating habits. But she was distracted as Ferris\'s lips met her cheek and she smiled, returning her gaze to him. |
Ferris felt just a bit guilty as Vianna gave him a dirty look, contradicting his statements and saying that Fluffy wasn\'t fat, and wouldn\'t get fat; that he was a hyperactive squirrel who would burn off the calories fast. He gave her a warm smile as she turned to him, reassuring him with her own smile. "I\'m sorry, I didn\'t mean it," he told her, leaning the short distance between their faces to kiss her nose. "He\'s not going to be fat, he\'s too energized for that," he assured her, his brown eyes watching her with clear amusement and admiration. |
"It\'s okay," muttered Vianna as Ferris apologized, flashing the boy another smile before giggling at the feel of his lips on the tip of her nose. She sighed and watched him, beginning to find it difficult to look away from his features. "Y\'know, I\'m surprised I haven\'t seen you with a book in a while, Professor... I remember back at camp, you always had a book in your hands, you were always reading," she said, remembering the old days with a smile on her face. |
Ferris smiled warmly down at her as she forgave him for calling her squirrel obese, and watched her for a moment. His eyes scanned her eyes, her nose, her lips, her chin, back to her long brown hair, until they found her blue eyes once more. His smile widened slightly as he did so; he had always admired her beauty, it was something he continually stared at since they met. He remembered when he stared to much, causing the girl to become uncomfortable. He\'d been working on that recently, which reminded him, and he broke his gaze to stare out at the park for a moment. His brown eyes returned to her as she mentioned that she hadn\'t seen him with a book lately and he gave a guilty smile, "I know, I know, I\'ve had to cut back a little recently...But, there\'s one in my back pocket right now." Ferris let out a light chuckle, his eyes watching her for a moment before continuing, "I\'ve seemed to acquire a new distraction," he said before placing a kiss on her cheek. |
Vianna\'s eyebrows rose and she gave an amused laugh as Ferris confessed having a book in his back pocket right at that moment; that was so typical Ferris. She smiled warmly at the boy, amused by how predictable he could be at times; she found it to be rather cute, though. Her laugh turned into a smile as he placed a kiss on her cheek, saying that he had acquired a new distraction. "Is that so?" she said, raising her eyebrows at him again before chuckling softly and looking up at the blank sky. She was really beginning to miss the starry scenery from the English skies now. |
"That is so," Ferris replied with a grin as she raised an eyebrow at him. He enjoyed the soft sound of her laugh for a moment as his eyes returned to the sky above them, blank from any constellations or stars. He looked over at her, "What are you thinking about, Vi?" he asked softly, resting his chin on her shoulder once more as he laid in the grass with her, surprisingly comfortable on the soft soil of the park. |
Vianna tilted her head slightly to the side, amusement in her eyes as Ferris assured her before asking what she was thinking about. "Just... I like the English skies better," she said with a sigh, remembering the constellations Ferris had taught her about before their trip to France. |
Ferris gave her a sympathetic half smile as she admitted that she liked the English skies better. "Yeah, me too," he said, letting out a small sigh. His chin returned to her shoulder as it often did, tilting his head against hers softly as he kept her near to him. "Like you said, we\'ll get back there," he murmured to her softly, knowing he had been a bit of a pessimist before but wanting to show the girl he was trying his best. "We\'re gonna go back together, you and me. And I\'ll show you every constellation I know of," he explained to her ear in a whisper, smiling slightly at the thought of them still being together, going back to his hometown. "And we\'ll take Fluffy with us, he can help us eat all of our marshmallows," he let out a soft chuckle at this, tickling her ear with his warm breath. |
