Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris gave her an incredulous look before telling her that it was mean of her to tease him. "I guess you didn't read the fine print on our dating agreement, Professor - the girlfriend, Vianna Vincenzi, gets to tease her boyfriend, Ferris Montgomery, in exchange for her protection services against the ogres," said the young girl with a very serious business-like expression on her face. She looked at Ferris for a moment before laughing lightly at her own words. ooc: Awwww, byeeeee Rutherssss! :bye::glomp: |
Ferris listened intently as she explained to him that he must not have read the fine print of their relationship. "Oh really?" he interrupted before she continued, going on to tell him that the girlfriend (Vianna Vincenzi) was allowed to tease the boyfriend (Ferris Montgomery) in return for protection from the 'ogres'. He let out a hearty chuckle at what she called her brothers, amusement in his dark brown eyes as he turned his head to look at her as he laid on the soft rug. He took the hand he had intwined with his own, gently releasing it before playing with her fingers. "Okay, well I could agree to that...If, you prove to me you could protect me from the ogres," he countered back with a small smile. "How are you, so little you are, going to protect me from the big bad brothers?" |
Vianna glanced down at their hands as Ferris began playing with her fingers, listening as he mentioned he could agree to her conditions as long as she proved to him that she could, indeed, defend him from her brothers. She looked back up the boy as he asked just how she would do that. "The same way I've gotten my way all these years!" said Vianna with a grin. "I just have to bribe them and make them feel guilty and I'll get whatever I want out of them, it's always been that way," she explained, as if this was the most normal thing on earth rather than the most devious forms of manipulation. But Vianna had always been the spoiled little sister and after sixteen years, the brothers still found it difficult to deny her saddened eyes. ooc: I have to go, be back in an hour or so! :bye: |
Ferris looked at her with blank eyes for a moment as Vianna explained to him, as though it was completely simple, that she would use various methods of manipulation to defend him from her older brothers. He found it amusing that the two Vincenzi boys could take nearly anything, be it in competition or day-to-day life, but they couldn't say no to their younger sister. He let out a soft string of chuckles as she finished, watching her grin as if this was the most natural way to get what one wanted. "Vianna!" he said, playfully, "I've never seen this manipulative side of you..." he said with a slight smile. |
Vianna frowned slightly. "It's not manipulative! It's just... a harmless way of getting what I want," she explained before letting her eyes return to their hands. "Besides... it's not like I do it often. Just when they're being unfair - like when they wouldn't let me go to the broom races with them, or when they would buy ice cream for themselves and not share with me!" she said with a pout, her gaze turning almost glaring. |

ooc: Dee, I love that drawing you did! :rotfl: |
Ferris grinned at the sight of the girl defending herself, telling him that it wasn't manipulative, but harmless. That it helped her get what she wanted. He waited until she finished until his arm snuck around her, "I didn't say I didn't like it," he said quietly, his grin still prominent on his face. He thought for a moment before continuing, "I find it kind of..." he trailed off for a moment, his grin turning sheepish, "Hot," he finally let out, biting his lip gently. |
"Fine, suit yourself," replied Vince as Kayla told him she didn't know the whole language and she'd just wait until the following day to get Ferris to get the parchment for her. "In that case, we'll just head back and give this to your brother," he said, referring to the food he had been carrying. "After you, of course," he added, as he didn't have the slightest idea how to get back to the hotel, ever the clueless one. Vianna looked up as Ferris spoke, letting her know that he never said he didn't like this manipulative side of hers. Her eyebrows rose slightly and confusion took over her features. She had expected him to be completely horrified by this quality, so when he explained that he actually found her behaviour 'hot', the young girl's jaw dropped. She stared at Ferris blankly for a moment before reacting, "Really? I didn't know you liked evil manipulative girls!" she said, honestly surprised. She frowned slightly and glanced at the fire. "Hmm... I guess I'll have to be more devious from now on," she muttered thoughtfully. ooc: Thanks, Ana! :D Oooh, speaking of which! I made another one! =D But I have to go now... I'll be back in like 30-40 minutes, guys. |
OOC: Ok Deee! Ooh, can't wait to see the next one...^_^ Ferris watched her jaw drop and he let out a light chuckle, listening as she expressed her amazement that he liked 'evil manipulative girls'. "I don't like all of them, just one," he corrected, a smile on his face. As she started deciding to be more devious from now on his smile widened. "Not too much," he warned, "I also like my sweet Vianna," he told her, kissing her forehead. |
Shaking her head, Kayla started walking back to the hotel. "We're so lucky we have Victor." She muttered. It didn't take long to get to the hotel, but before she made her way to go inside, she spotted Jamie and Jack sitting on some steps. |
Vianna turned to Ferris with a smile as the boy told her he only liked one evil and manipulative girl before adding that he also liked her sweeter side and awarding her with a kiss on the forehead. "Alright, I won't get too evil, then," she said with a light chuckle before looking away at the fire again and letting out a long yawn. She stretched her arms lazily and rested her head on Ferris's shoulder. Vince's jaw dropped as Kayla expressed how lucky the group was to have his older brother around. "What's that supposed to mean?!" he asked, offended that she would think his brother better than him. "Yeah, he's got a good sense of direction, but I'm more fun! You always laugh around me, Kay, just admit it - what would you do without me, eh? Victor's too serious, he wouldn't tell a joke even if you paid him," he said, following her lead into the hotel. He kept on rambling about how much better he was before coming to an abrupt halt at the sight of Jamie and Jack sitting on the steps. "What're you two doing out here?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at them before handing Jamie his food. "We've brought you some snails." |
Ferris gave her another smile as she promised not to get too evil before setting her head on his shoulder and letting out a yawn. "Sounds like someone's tired," he accused softly, an amused look to his brown eyes as he looked down at her. He resituated slightly so they were a little more comfortable on the floor, keeping her close to his side. |
"What? No I'm not!" replied Vianna, immediately sitting up straight. "I'm wide awake!" she said, her tone energetic though her features did reflect just how tired she felt. But the rest of the group still seemed to be outside, so it couldn't possibly really be that late. Vianna furrowed her brows slightly at this. "What time is it, Professor?" |
Ferris raised his eyebrows disbelievingly as she quickly denied that she was tired, sitting up straight and telling him she was wide awake. A small knowing smile was on his face as he pulled up his left arm to do what was asked of him, rolling back the sleeve of his grey argyle sweater to reveal his old black watch. "It's eleven thirty," he told her with a small nod. It had already been nearly five hours since dinner? It didn't feel like it, but looking back they had done so much...it was possible it could already be that late. |
Vianna's eyes widened as Ferris shared the time. "Eleven?!" she repeated incredulously. "What-- but-- why aren't the others back, then?!" Though now that she thought about it, her brothers and Kayla weren't necessarily the type to go to bed at any time before midnight. However, their absence still worried her somewhat. "I wonder what they're up to..." she muttered thoughtfully before more animatedly adding, "They'd better not be having any broom races without me!" She furrowed her brows at the fire and crossed her arms. |
Ferris nodded with a grim smile as she expressed her amazement that it was already past eleven, asking why the others weren't back yet. He let out a laugh as she theorized that they might be having broom races without her, "I'm sure they're not having broom races without you, especially this late," he assured her before releasing the girl. "They're probably just wandering around town like we did," he suggested before rising from his position on the floor to get a glass of water. He headed over to the small kitchen, letting out a yawn and stretching on his way over. |
"Mmm, I suppose..." muttered Vianna absentmindedly. She turned to Ferris as the boy left her side to head to the kitchen and then returned her gaze to the fire, yawning once more. But something else caught her attention then - a small brown furball very slowly and cautiously making its way over to the girl. Vianna watched Fluffy with curious eyes as the squirrel approached her with both its tail and head down, as if apologetic. Vianna's eyes sparkled as she watched the small creature before taking it into her hands and giving it a quick kiss on its little head. "Awww, Fluffy!" |
Ferris returned moments later with a tall glass of water in his hand, still taking a sip of it. When he finished he looked over to see the squirrel back in Vianna's hands, and he quickly stopped walking, his brown eyes on the little creature. "Oh," he said softly, still not moving from the edge of the rug, "He's back." He watched the creature with slightly furrowed brows, unsure if it would claw his face off or not for threatening him before. |
"Yeah, isn't it great?!" said Vianna, turning to Ferris with a grin as the boy returned. But Fluffy then wiggled his way out of Vianna's hands and sprinted off into the distance until he was out of sight again. Vianna's jaw dropped and she watched her pet go, her forehead beginning to crease when Fluffy was completely out of sight. "Fluffy!" But the squirrel did not return. Vianna sighed and leaned back against the couch. |
Ferris looked to the floor with slight guilt on his features as Vianna's beloved pet ran away at the sight of him, leaving a devastated Vianna in his wake. "He hates me," he stated simply, walking over to her and taking a seat next to her. He gave a weak half smile to the girl next to him, "Sorry," he said innocently with a slight shrug, knowing it was his fault. Maybe he should leave so the squirrel would come back? He wasn't sure... OOC: Off for about fifteen minutes or so! |
Vianna turned to Ferris and shook her head slightly, reflecting his smile. "It's okay, don't worry about it," she said. "I think... I think he's just scared of being snatched away so brusquely again," she muttered thoughtfully, her brows beginning to furrow slightly as she analyzed her pet's behaviour. But she then shook her head slightly again, the smile returning to her face. "But he'll come to trust you again soon, you'll see." ooc: Aw, alright! |
Ferris was slightly reassured by Vianna's cheerful response and his smile widened slightly with her next words. He listened as she theorized that the squirrel was afraid of being snatched away once more, and that he'd come to trust him again soon. "I don't know Vi, he seemed pretty freaked out," he said doubtfully, taking a drink of water. Marshmallows could really make someone thirsty. |
"You'll just have to approach him a little more often and lend him your curls as bed, that's all," replied Vianna, as if this was all very simple and easy to do. She then proceeded to rest her head on Ferris's shoulder as she had been doing before. She sighed as her mind slowly drifted away to thoughts of her home and family and the earlier days at camp. "I wonder how the other students at camp are doing..." she wondered aloud. It felt strange to think that while they were on the run, their classmates were back at camp living life and going to class as if nothing had ever happened. |
Ferris raised his eyebrows slightly as Vianna told him all he needed to do was approach the squirrel more often and lend him his curls. "Well, it's gonna be hard if he keeps running like that," he said skeptically. He leaned his head back on the seat of the couch as Vianna leaned her head on his shoulder. He listened with interest as she wondered aloud what the other kids at camp were doing. He had nearly forgotten there were other people than just their group on the run, life at camp seemed like a complete dream. He thought back for a moment before responding, "I bet they're hanging out at a campfire, or...wandering around camp or eating late night snacks, or goofing off in the cabins..." |
Vianna chuckled softly, humorlessly, as Ferris mentioned that it would be hard to approach her squirrel if it kept running away like that. She then listened as he listed off some of the different things the other students back at camp could be doing at that moment. Her brows furrowed slightly at this. "That's not fair..." she muttered before letting out a sigh. She wished she could be one of those carefree kids having fun under the night Italian sky. But she quickly pushed those thoughts aside, not wanting to let them affect her mood. Instead, she took Ferris's hand into her own and examined his neatly painted nails, giggling as she did so. |
