Default Summer Mum Hunt

Summer 2071 :: With rich 'parents' and a life any person could have wished for, Lorelai Bristol has just read the address that could destroy all of that, all of her dreams of staying like this. Her birth mother. After months of hunting, months of letter sending and months of false hope, there sits the journey between what her life could have been like, if Dakota Bridges had not given up her baby daughter 16 years previous, on a december night.

Through support from her best friends Gold Laksh and Brody Summers, and then her boyfriend Adam Stemp; Lorelai decided that she would go and visit her mum. Just to see, just to stop all thoughts, pity her adoptive parents weren't so helpful. Neither did they want the visit to go ahead.

This is a closed RP, please do not post asking to join.

Characters :

Lorelai Bristol : midget ♥
Dakota Bridges (+the Bridges family) : midget ♥
Adam Stemp : Harron Peasley

He wanted to be there when Lorelai's mother, or father, or whoever answered, and he caught up to her just as her hand dropped from knocking. Silently, he took it in his, the other hand still clutching his wand inside his pocket. He wasn't taking any risks. It could be anyone's house, the SatNav was a stupid muggle device, who's to say it hadn't been wrong?

A moment later the door was opened to reveal a surprisingly young woman, who looked rather forlorn and like she hadn't washed for days. The house looked in need of a bit of a clean as well, but Adam didn't say anything. He felt a wave of pity sweep over him, for this woman he didn't even know, who was living here. And Lori could've been living here, if things had been .... different.

Adam wasn't sure how he felt.

When the woman spoke, he squeezed his girlfriends hand tightly, but didn't speak at first. She thought they where the waddyacallits? Bailiffs? Yeah, the council peoples anyways.

"One, I'm legally an adult," as soon as Adam said that, he regretted it. He didn't know if she was a Muggle or not! Oh well, time to pretend that he was eighteen. "And two... we ain't here for that."
Lori gave her boyfriend an appreciative smile as he took her hand, and she looked up as the door opened, her eyes almost widening, and her legs almost giving way beneath her. But they didnt. And instead she just stared. "I.. uh.. Y.. Uh." What was she? A failure? Most probably, it wasn't like she was going to do this without making a fool of herself. Why had she came again, when Alicia and Jake didn't approve of it?

Dakota raised an eyebrow when they male of the pair spoke and then laughed. "An adult? Yeah well, adults do look younger now-a-days, so you're not here for the house, nor my kids? Well what are YOU here for, because I don't do charities, I don't do religion, and I certainly don't do door to door sales. So if you're attempting any of those, the gates in that direction, just leave." One of her fingers, pointed through the middle of their heads in the direction they had came from and then looked down at the girl.

"I.. uh.. You what? You speak english, kid?" What was it with people now-a-days?

Lorelai regained herself and took a deep breath before looking at the woman. "Of course I speak english. My name's Lorelai Bristol, and you're Dakota Bridges, yes?"

"I'm afraid to say yes, but yeah I am. Why? What do you want from me? Are you like some private detective, did Alan hire you?"[/b] That sod was NOT getting his hands on her baby, Sundae. That one year old was staying here. She was the quietest of them all. Dakota looked at the girl and almost did a double-take this time. Cody. She looked like Cody, yet ... She had Dakota's eyes.

And that couldn't be possible, unless she was December Baby.

"Can we just come in please, Dakota, it's important, and I'm sure you want to get back in where you can keep a close eye on your adorable children." Lori smiled at her, and waggled her fingers at the six children just watching the scene at the door.

Hearing Lori's splutter from beside him, Adam wanted to desperately turn around and comfort her, but he realised it probably wouldn't be best. Not now, not in front of someone they where knowing as her birth mother. He wanted to turn around and tell her she didn't have to do this, tell her if she wanted they could get back in the car and go back to Liverpool. But he had to stand his ground. They weren't backing down now, and if they did, Adam would always feel that he'd kept Lori from something she should know.

And he couldn't live with that.

Instead, he took a deep breath and met the woman's (because she would be known as the woman, because he wasn't sure if it was even Dakota) eyes. "I suppose they do," he commented, an agreement on the 'adults looking younger' thing. "We aint no charity, and we - I'm not religious - " he looked at Lori at the moment he changed his mind. Was she religious? Now wasn't the time to ask. He turned back to her 'mother'. "- And they don't usually send hardly-out-of-school couples to do sales now, do they?" He took a deep apologetic breath. He was going to be nice about this. Thakfully, Lori spoke up here, and Adam could keep quiet for a bit.

"Private detective?" Adam said, a little scathingly. He didn't mean to sound like that, he was just being himself. "Do we look like detectives?" He sure hoped not, because Adam's stereotypical view of detectives was Sherlock Holmes. Not a particularly attractive guy.

"Look, Ms. Bridges," he added, deciding to go all polite. Spotting the kids over her shoulder, his gaze softened as he offered them all a grin. Soo cute. "Please, we need to talk to you. There's something... something we need to say. To ask."

Dakota looked over her shoulder and nodded at the six little 'uns and then turn3d back to the two on her doorstep. "Fine. Come in. Ten minutes, that's all I have. I need to find the- cook the kids dinner. Yes, cook it. Please.. Please. Do come in." She beckoned the pair in, watching as the girl walked inf first. Dakota then left the male at the door, so he could close it himself. Be all manly.

aAnd then she looked at her children and she sighed -- how had she gotten here? She had had a promising future. And now... this. Living on council benefits.

"Kids... This is... Lorelai.. and another kid. Lorelai this isss..... Cara, Tinsley, Logan, Donovan, Kiwi and Sundae." And they were her kids. Her six kids, that stopped her from getting somewhere. SHE could have been an actress right now, in HOLLYWOOD. But no, she had had December Baby so young. FLAIL.

Lori smiled softly at the woman and then walked into the house ... if you could call it that, squalor seemed better. As she shared introductions with the other kids, Lori nodded taking each kids name in.

"Hai KIDS!" She grinned, ruffling at one of the kids (Donovan's) hair.

"Take a seat, please.. So... Why ARE you here?" Dakota raised an eyebrow, shooing the kids with one of her hands and then taking a seat on one of the sofa's.

Lori nodded and quickly headed over to the other sofa, opposite to the one Dakota had taken a seat on, knowing that Adam would join her sooner or later. After hoisting the boy (Donovan) onto her lap, Lori looked over at her birth mother and nodded. "I.. uh.. Well. I think you're my birth mother, Dakota. I was born December 13th, or so I was left outside Northway Orphanage, 16 and a half years ago. I believe YOU left me there."

So she was...

She WAS December Baby. And she had grown into such a lovely looking girl, something Dakota would have been proud to raise, and she was certainly a natural with children. Donovan had taken a REAL liking to her.

Dakota's head bowed when Lori finished speaking, and she sighed once. "I.. umm... It was me..,. I was young, you gotta understand that kid."

"Thank you," Adam said, smiling softly at Dakota, and then at the kids as he stepped into the hallway after Lori. He felt kind of daft as they went futher into the house, leaving him behind, but he closed the door behind him nonetheless. Keeping his hand on it until he heard the soft click, he then removed it and turned around, taking his first proper look at the insides of Dakota's 'house'.

Although he felt mean thinking it, he couldn't help but hardly see this place as a home. He felt sadness for the family, felt sorry for them, the tiny children who had to live like this. Just catching the intro's he raised a hand in the childrens direction, his grin wide again. "Adam," he said, both to the woman and to her children. And partly to himself. To remind himself that he was still him. That he was still Lorelai's AddiePants, and whatever happened right here, right now wasn't going to change it.

He was rubbish with names, and was therefore not going to remember the names of all of these children, but as he walked slightly behind the oldest boy towards the sofa Lorelai ocupided, he ruffled his hair slightly as he past him. Lorelai's brother? Half-brother? Adam could see him as a lad, not unlike himself, good-looking, strong. It was a shame how he was growing up. How they all where.

Standing by Lori, but not sitting down, he felt more protective at his now-six foot three stance, and he listened to his girlfriend and her mother talk. Not much he could say, really. He felt kinda outta place.

Standing by Lori, but not sitting down, he felt more protective at his now-six foot three stance, and he listened to his girlfriend and her mother talk. Not much he could say, really. He felt kinda outta place.
Lori looked up over at her boyfriend and gave him a little smile as he corrected Dakota, and then she went back to ruffling at the youngster on her lap's hair. Aww, kids were just TOO cute. She grinned at the kid and poked at his nose, giggling as he giggled at her. And her lameness.

Dakota raised an eyebrow at the boy and waved a hand. "Yeah, sure. Alan meet the kids." Her eyes fell back on December Baby (whom she could NOT call Lorelai now) and she raised an eyebrow at how quiet Donovan was being in her company. He liked her. Pity she wasn't staying long. They didn't need her.

"No. Dakota, it's Adam. He's my boyfriend. Ad, sit down will you? You're making me all nervous and stuff." She gave him another little smile, and patted the seat beside her.

Kiwi Bridges giggled a little, and left the girls pretty shoe alone, and headed in the direction of the NICE looking boy. He was SO pretty. [s]And he had shoe's she could SLOBBER on! Wheee! Waddling over to him, she grinned her little four year old grin at him, and tugged at whatever clothing she could reach. "Up, pwease."

Dakota rolled her eye's at Kiwi's antics and looked back at Lorelai. "Look. I'm sorry I left you there and stuff, but you turned out an alright kid, maybe you should just go.You found me. I'm not what you expected. Now get on with your life, 'kay?"

"Look, I'm not going ANYWHERE for atleast another ten minutes. YOU, you wretched hag! You listen to ME, okay. Because I BET you don't EVER listen to anyone but yourself. You have SIX beautiful children here, and all of them are sleeping in sleeping bags. I've got the right mind to go and report you. You shouldn't be allowed kids, you hear me? I don't CARE how old you were when you had me. I really DONT. But you left me! Withjout the decency to knock on that door and hand me in, just left me. Like a bit of rubbish, and you know what? I'm gonna prove you WRONG. Because I am NOT a piece of rubbish. I am Lorelai Dakota Bristol, and I, am YOUR daughter." She fumed, lifting Donovan off her lap, and placing him beside her.

Standing up next to Lorelai, Adam watched her sit with Donovan. The kid had really warmed to her, and they were so cute. Both of them. It was obvious that Lor was really good with kids, and Adam realised he could just stand here and watch them for ages. He loved kids too, and these six... they deserved so much more than Dakota could give them. So much more.

Adam rolled his eyes as Dakota got his name wrong. Did he really look like an Alan? He didn't think so. She could have had the decency to at least remember his name ten seconds after he said it, even if she forgot it ten minutes after he left her house. He smiled at Lorelai as she corrected her mother. But she certainly wasn't acting like a mother.

Putting a hand on Lori's shoulder, he gave it a little squeeze to tell her she shouldn't feel nervous. But he slid into the seat she patted anyway, dropping his hand from her shoulder and instead taking up the hand that lay on the sofa between them. He didn't want her to feel nervous. There was no need for her to feel nervous.

Looking down, Adam caught sight if a tiny girl tugging at his jeans. Actually, it was the tugging that had alerted him to her presence, and he laughed a little bit. Grinning down at her request and aparent fascination with his converse, he leant forward and picked her up, swinging her onto his knee. "'Allo," he mumbled, grinning widely at her.

Alright kid? "Lor is far more than alright, Ms. Bridges," Adam muttered, looking up directly at her. "And how can she seriously get on with her life if she knows you have no interest in her?" He squeezed Lorelai's hand as she spoke, and agreed with everything she was saying. Thes children, beautiful children deserved so much more. He was half glad that Lori had been left, but right now he wasn't going to show it.

"Look Dakota, you left Lori outside in the middle of freakin' December. She could have died if she hadn't been found. And it would have been your fault. How would you have liked it, if you'd been left, without any indication as why? You weren't proud of her? Is that why you just left her in the cold? Well, you should be proud of her, 'kay? And you should have the decency to say sorry, because that appology wasn't meant. I can tell."

Kiwi wanted to PULL it. PULL IT. NOW. She stood up, unevenly, and then took a few shakey steps to get nearer his face, and the REEEEEEEEEACHED and PULLED on his hair. Then giggled.

Giggle. Giggle. Giggle.

Kiwi LIIIIIIKE.

Dakota raised an eyebrow at the girl AND the boy. How DARE they come into her home, and talk to her like that. She got up herself and matched Lorelai's height, then laughed at her. "You know what, kid? Me and your dad, we weren't nothing special. Just a fling, we was both in school, 'cept he went to this boarding school in Scotland. HuggyWarts or something like that. He never knew about you, why would he? I never told him, planned to abort you as soon as I could. But I couldn't, you needed parental consent. And trust me, kid, I would have done it if my own parents were about. But they weren't. So I left you where I did, knowing you'd be given a nice home and all that crap."

"But I was lucky I did. And YOU, hag bag, with your wrinkles, and your out dated clothes, OH and that perfume you're wearing, yeah that stinks, with all of that, I OBVIOUSLY turned out better than you did. And I had no parents, Alicia and Jake Burrows never cared about me. I would NEVER give up a child, not now, not EVER. Because I can look after myself, look after someone else, unlike yourself and your SKETTY lifestyle." Lori looked at this woman, the woman she had pictured to be so lovely, and beautiful all her life, and shook her head. "We're not related. You may be my BIOLOGICAL mother, but you're not a mother. Not to ANY of us, seven, maybe more. You're just someone who sleeps around, and I thank MERLIN I got out of all of this before YOU got your hands on me and MESSED MY LIFE UP. Like you messed your own up."

Dakota had had ENOUGH of this jumped up little COW. And at that moment, she laughed once more. "I never wanted you. Like you said, you were a piece of rubbish to me. I couldn't care less if you had died. I got out of having a jumped up little demented MARE as a daughter.

Lori laughed, mocking her own mother, and straightened her hand out, bringing it up from her side to slap the woman STRRRRAAAAAAAAIGHT on the cheek, before grinning at her, and shrugging. "Like I said. I've got the right mind to report you. "

Donovan clapped his hands as the NICE comfy lapped girl SMACKED his mommy. "Do it AGAIIIIIIN! Bad mummy! BAAAAAD! HAG BAG! HAG BAG!" Oooooh!

Sarah thinks I'm cute | Shan's safe space.

Adam laughed a little as Kiwi fidgeted on his knee, and then stood up on his leg. He held onto her two tiny hands as she came closer to him and grinned at her as she poked at his shoulder. She was so cute, and now she was pulling at his hair. No no no no. The hair which happened to have the gel Big!Tyler had given him for his birthday in it. Oh dear. "C'mon you,"he chuckled, prying her hands away.

Adam froze when Dakota said "HuggyWarts". So it had been Lorelai's dad who had been the magical one, eh? Adam was just glad that he hadn't got his wand out, or let anything slip about the Wizarding World. "What was his name...?" he muttered. Then he raised his voice a little. "What was his name?" 'Coz Adam was going to find out who he was. There had to be record of him somewhere up at the school. The Library, or the Trophy room or somewhere.

"You do know that aborting is just killing a child, right?" the seventeen year old said quietly, appalled that Dakota Bridges could even think to do something like that. "And in someway, I'm glad that your parents weren't around to give the consent. Because then I wouldn't have ever met Lori." And it was so true. Lorelai was twice the person, a million times the person Dakota was.

Standing up slightly behind his girlfriend, but not before putting Kiwi on the couch beside him, Adam towered over both Lori and Dakota. He'd never really seen himself this much taller than them, but now he was angry at the way Dakota was treating her daughter. "Anyone can be a mother, give birth. It takes a lot, a whole freakin' lot to be a mum." he managed. and it was so true. Lorelai could never have called this idiot 'mum'. He would never let her.

Woooah! Adam wasn't expecting that slap! He whistled a little, before nodding sincerely at Dakota. "You deserved that. Lor is a million times the person you ever were, ever could be. She's sixteen, and she could take care of all of the beautiful children so much better than you can. And what if she had died, eh? If she'd died, and it'd been your fault? How would you have felt if you'd killed someone?"

He turned around as Donovan cheered Lori on. "See? Even your kids think you're an awful mother. And he's how old?" Young, that was for sure.

He turned around as Donovan cheered Lori on. "See? Even your kids think you're an awful mother. And he's how old?" Young, that was for sure.
Lori scowled as she tended to her red hand, and then looked over at the woman before her. --No way was she calling her, her mother now.-- "YOU, well you deserved that, more than you deserve ANYTHING, these kids, well don't be thinking about tucking them in tonight. They're going. I'm not leaving them here with YOU!" The sixteen year old took a shaky breath and turned round and bent down to hoist Tinsley onto her hip, and then rolled her eyes. "Mother? My backside."

Dakota FELT that slap, even before it had hit her. And for a moment, she agreed that she deserved it, but once that COW said her kids were going, she straightened up and shook her head. "Give me Tinsley. Give me her NOW! You're NOT taking them from me! You CAN'T! They're MY children!" Her hands reached out for the young girl in Lori's arms, only to be batted away by Lorelai.

Turning to look at Adam, "His name was Cody... I dunno his last name.." Dakota shuffled in her place. "Donovan's six."

Lori nodded her head once. "Of course, you can have them back when you get in touch with Bristol Social Services. But you're not having them now. No way! Ad? You reckon we can fit them in your car? It's BIG enough." She shot him a wink, almost as if telling him, he was GOING to be extending that car if it was the last thing he did. "The authorities are five minutes away, please?"

Sarah thinks I'm cute | Shan's safe space.

Adam looked down as Lori cradled one hand in the other. He took it off her, and held it for a second, smiling proudly at her. It must've taken gut to that - hit her mother. Well, slap the person who gave birth to her, because Dakota Bridges was no mother, not to Lori, not to Kiwi, not to Donovan, or any of the other children.

"You deserved that," Adam spat at Dakota, as the wretched woman reached out for Tinsley. "Lor, don't let go of her," he directed at his girlfriend as he stepped in front of her, almost protective as now Lorelai, Tinsley, Donovan and Kiwi where behind him. "We can and we will," he added forcefully, his voice low and dangerous. No one was going to hurt these kids, no one was going to hurt Lori.

Cody...Cody what though? Adam made up his mind to have a scout around the school when they got back, but the dangerous look didn't pass from his face. "You didn't even know his full name? How pathetic is that? You filthy cow, and I hope Cody was a better person than you. Although I doubt it." Because he just used Dakota, and then left her? And they'd never met again? Urghh.

"Exactly," he muttered, scowling down at this woman. "Six, and he's excited that him mum is getting hurt?" That wasn't right, that just showed how bad a mother Dakota Bridges must be. "Six," he almost spat again, shaking his head in disgust.

Big enough? What was Lori talking about? He barely fit into the backseat, let alone six chil.... OHAI! "Yeah, it's definately big enough," he muttered, smirking as he caught her wink, and caught on. He could deffinately expand it. His mum had taught him the spell, and they where taking these kids to a safe place, away from Dakota Bridges.

Dakota shook her head and reached out for the child again. "Give ME HER! GIVE ME HER NOW! SHE'S MINE! GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER!" But again, 'Alawhatshit' got in the way. "Move. Let me GET to my baby. Tell her to GIVE ME TINSLEY!" She would get her back, she'd get them all back. These two kids couldn't take her six beautiful children away from her.

A filthy cow? HOW DARE HE! Clenching up her fist, Dakota chewed at her lip. The last man she had punched, had been that council man. She swung her arm back ...

"I know Adam, I'm not letting her GO." Lori quickly started to usher the other kids into a group near Donovan. Keep them together, and they'd be okay. They would all get out safely, without having any trouble with Dakota. Ever. Again.

Quickly placing Tinsley next to Donovan and making sure all the children were in pairs and holding hands, [all apart from Sundae], Lori turned back round and came to the side of her boyfriend.

"You're not getting them, Dakota. YOU don't deserve kids. You don't deserve ANYTHING. Life, whatever, you don't deserve the air that you breath, the floor you walk on, that STENCH you spray yourself in. No. You're not putting them through it." Lori raised an eyebrow at the woman, and almost squeaked as Dakota clenched her fist...

And then Lori went in. [/cue some cool music here XD]

Grabbing Dakota's OTHER arm, Lori span behind her, taking the arm with herself and grabbing the clenched one -- almost professionally. "Don't make a habit out of this will you? Ad? Get them out, please. I'll be out in thirty seconds. I promise. GO."

"I'm not telling her to give you anything. You don't deserve anything, be it of Lorelai or anyone else. You don't deserve these kids," Adam said, standing his ground between Lori and her 'mother' Dakota. Seriously, if she wanted her kids back she'd have to start by calming down. And then going to see the council. Because that was right where they were going. Adam was going to make sure of it.

All he could do was nod as Lorelai voiced exactly what he himself was thinking, and next minute he saw a fist come towards him, from aparently nowhere. His first instinct was to dodge, and his secont to fight back. But Dakota was a woman, and Adam couldn't hit a female. It was unheard of, except from the lowliest of the low.

He was surprised as he stood in shook that Lori came flying out of nowhere to block the punch. He was grateful though, and as he came back to his senses, he heard what she was telling him to do. He couldn't leave her, although the kids needed to get away from here.

Locking his eyes onto his girlfriends, Adam decided to trust her, although he realised if she got hurt he'd never forgive himself. "Thirty seconds. No longer, or I come back," he said quietly. Then he span on his heel of his vans, threw Dakota one more filthy look and then ushered the kids out of the room, scooping Sundae into his arms as he went.

As he got to the front door, he held his wand in his hand, yet kept it in his pocket (it wouldn't be good for the kids, who were probably Muggles, to see magic) and blasted the door open before he reached it. The he ran towards the car, muttering an enlargement spell under his breath, and watched the back and front passenger seat grow slightly.

"C'mon, get it now," he muttered a little hurridly towards the kids, all wearing slightly frightened looks, as he cast his own nervous lok back up at the dump house.

Grabbing Dakota's OTHER arm, Lori span behind her, taking the arm with herself and grabbing the clenched one -- almost professionally. "Don't make a habit out of this will you? Ad? Get them out, please. I'll be out in thirty seconds. I promise. GO."

Lorelai watched as her brave boyfriend started ushering the kids out of this place they called a house, and chewed at her lip, still holding Dakota's arm. "Move, and I promise i'll break it. I'll break your arm, and you wont get those kids back. Hit me, and i'll go to the police. Your choice." She whispered harshly into the womans ear, and then as the door was left vacant and she could see the kids and Adam at the car, Lori let go of the woman, walked for her bag and rolled her eyes as she looked at the woman.

"I pity you, you know that? You could have had EVERYTHING. 'Cept you went and threw your life away."

Watching as her life, her children, were ushered out of the door and into a car, Dakota let a tear slip down her cheek and sank to her knees as soon as her arm was let go of. Lorelai didn't have the strength to break her arm, she had regretted that slap. Dakota knew that much.

Smiling up at the girl, almost sadistically, Dakota nodded. "Like you wont be throwing yours away, kiddo. You've got a lovely boyfriend out there, I don't suppose you'll be put in my situation, Decemeber Baby."

Lorelai laughed as she hoisted her bag onto her shoulder. "Me? Pregnant? Nah. I wouldn't do that to a kid. I'm gonna wait. I'm gonna be a good mum. A millions times better than you. Because i'm a better person at the end of the day. OH, and don't cry. You haven't got a heart. Doesn't suit you." And with that, Lorelai left the woman, left her to weep, and whatever she wanted to do. And then slammed the front door behind her, quickly rubbing towards her boyfriends car, and clambering in, just after the last of the children had climbed in.

Waiting as Lori came down the path, Adam watched her get into the car before taking one last galnce up at the house and wondering what had happened there. He thought he caught a glimpse of Dakota looking through the window, but he wasn't sure, and a moment later it had gone. Shoving the keys in, he pulled away from the pavement quickly, forgetting to put his seatbelt on.

It was only when they reached the end of the road that he had to slow down, and they pulled into a queue at traffic lights. Swearing loudly, Adam banged on the steering wheel, then leant back in his seat. Stress or what? He took a deep breath, blowing his hair off his face, and then turned to Lori.

"What happened?" he began, talking quickly and quietly. What should they tell the kids? He wasn't sure, Lori had to be better at talking to them than he did, or they where screwed. "And where are we actually going?" he added, speaking even more quietly. They had to look like they knew what they were doing to the kids.

Lorelai sat quiet. More quiet than she had been on the way here. More quiet than she had been in her exams. This time, not even thoughts went through her head. All she wanted to do was get these children out, and herself out, and then.. just sleep. She was knackered. And this all just meant she couldn't bring herself to make eye contact with any of them, any of the children, Adam, not even her reflection in her wing mirror. No one.

She was happy when the car pulled away, and now she was safely seatbelted in; she sighed with relief. No more Dakota. Never, ever again. That was it, the woman had had her chance, and she had blown it.

When they came to a stop at the traffic lights and Adam ended up disturbing her peace and silence, Lori shot a glare at him, and slapped at his arm. "Will you mind your LANGUAGE! There are KIDS in the car! They've been through ENOUGH in the last half an hour Adam." It was also possible that by 'kids' she meant herself, nothing to do with the children in the back of the car, just her.

"Sorry.. I uh.. Sorry.." She apologised almost instantly, and her gaze fell straight back out the window, ashamed of even making eye contact with him. Silence, she needed, silence she had had.

What had happened? "She told me I'd end up like her, teenage pregnancy and stuff.. I told her I wouldn't, because I'm a better person. Then I walked out. She said you seemed nice though." That was all girls wanted wasn't it? Approval of their boyfriends from their parents, and now Lori had it. And she didn't want it! Not from Dakota.

Looking over her shoulder, Lori pouted and reach an arm out to stroke Donovan's cheek. She couldn't put it into words how sorry she was, but he seemed to understand when he nodded and kissed her hand. Children had it so easy.

"Turn left at the next junction, and head for the orphanage. There's a social services office next door. We'll take them there, and they'll sort something out.."

Glancing for a moment across at Lori, Adam didn't look for long as a moment later he had too look back at the road and steer the car. He did notice it though; she was avoiding his gaze. Although this could have been about anything, Adam knew she was confused, tired, let-down, and extremely sad. It was harsh, the amount she'd had to go through, and the kids of course, in one day.

It was something no one should ever experiance. In a lifetime.

"Sorry," the seventeen year old muttered, taking an apologetic glance at the children in the rearview mirror. They looked scared, and in all honesty, who could blame them? Being taken away from their mother by someone they had met half an hour ago. And Lori herself, was just a child. Until December, which was probably a date she didn't want to remember. But still, just a child.

Nodding a few times, Adam badly wanted to reach out a hand to Lorelai, wrap it 'round her shoulders and hug her to him, tightly, and never let go. But that was just... impractical. Not now. Later, maybe. He shook his head. "You are a better person, of course you are," he agreed, although his eyes where still on the road. He seemed nice? "Well, she's a mad one, isn't she? So therefore, I must only be nice to mad people, and that means.. I'm horrible." He shook his head a little, but a smile pulled up the corner of his mouth a little. Trust him to attempt to make a joke, at a time like this.

Pulling away from the traffic lights, Adam followed his girlfriend's directions and turned left, and pulled up outside a wll advertised, old, yet somehow new at the same time, building. "This it?" he said, although he was already beginning to get out of the car.

Lorelai frowned once more as she looked out the window some more, before rolling her eyes at the fact they were STILL here, and she had just done what she had done. It wasn't possible for her to have left them there, but why had she been so stupid to almost KIDNAP them?

As the car pulled to a stop, Lori nodded over at Adam and sighed once more as she climbed out of the car, leaving her bag on the seat, and starting to gather the kids out of the car, ruffling Donovan's hair as he got out. Man, they looked so vulnerable. She was being such a witch to them.

In time, all six children were adopted away from one another, and Dakota Bridges was soon placed on a Mothers Reprimand Scheme.

ooc-yay! we finished <3, thanks for playing Laura. I'll get this closed up
