Although he felt mean thinking it, he couldn't help but hardly see this place as a home. He felt sadness for the family, felt sorry for them, the tiny children who had to live like this. Just catching the intro's he raised a hand in the childrens direction, his grin wide again. "Adam," he said, both to the woman and to her children. And partly to himself. To remind himself that he was still him. That he was still Lorelai's AddiePants, and whatever happened right here, right now wasn't going to change it.
He was rubbish with names, and was therefore not going to remember the names of all of these children, but as he walked slightly behind the oldest boy towards the sofa Lorelai ocupided, he ruffled his hair slightly as he past him. Lorelai's brother? Half-brother? Adam could see him as a lad, not unlike himself, good-looking, strong. It was a shame how he was growing up. How they all where.
Standing by Lori, but not sitting down, he felt more protective at his now-six foot three stance, and he listened to his girlfriend and her mother talk. Not much he could say, really. He felt kinda outta place. Lori looked up over at her boyfriend and gave him a little smile as he corrected Dakota, and then she went back to ruffling at the youngster on her lap's hair. Aww, kids were just TOO cute. She grinned at the kid and poked at his nose, giggling as he giggled at her. And her lameness. Dakota raised an eyebrow at the boy and waved a hand. "Yeah, sure. Alan meet the kids." Her eyes fell back on December Baby (whom she could NOT call Lorelai now) and she raised an eyebrow at how quiet Donovan was being in her company. He liked her. Pity she wasn't staying long. They didn't need her. "No. Dakota, it's Adam. He's my boyfriend. Ad, sit down will you? You're making me all nervous and stuff." She gave him another little smile, and patted the seat beside her. Kiwi Bridges giggled a little, and left the girls pretty shoe alone, and headed in the direction of the NICE looking boy. He was SO pretty. [s]And he had shoe's she could SLOBBER on! Wheee! Waddling over to him, she grinned her little four year old grin at him, and tugged at whatever clothing she could reach. "Up, pwease." Dakota rolled her eye's at Kiwi's antics and looked back at Lorelai. "Look. I'm sorry I left you there and stuff, but you turned out an alright kid, maybe you should just go.You found me. I'm not what you expected. Now get on with your life, 'kay?" "Look, I'm not going ANYWHERE for atleast another ten minutes. YOU, you wretched hag! You listen to ME, okay. Because I BET you don't EVER listen to anyone but yourself. You have SIX beautiful children here, and all of them are sleeping in sleeping bags. I've got the right mind to go and report you. You shouldn't be allowed kids, you hear me? I don't CARE how old you were when you had me. I really DONT. But you left me! Withjout the decency to knock on that door and hand me in, just left me. Like a bit of rubbish, and you know what? I'm gonna prove you WRONG. Because I am NOT a piece of rubbish. I am Lorelai Dakota Bristol, and I, am YOUR daughter." She fumed, lifting Donovan off her lap, and placing him beside her.
