Fred was pleased to feel Hermione loosen her grip. She didn't seem have a death grip on him anymore, and she had started breathing again..which made Fred happy. He really hadn't meant to scare her...He had just assumed that with friends like Harry and Ron, she had been flying more.

Fred stopped ascending higher at Hermione's request, and just set his pace at a nice slow speed for her. He still had his hand over hers, and he rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand. She had the smoothest hands he'd ever felt..

They hadn't gone very far, and the yard was still close by when Fred leaned back and put his face close to hers and asked, "You want to steer for a while?"
