After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Harry turned around at the sound of her voice. Apparently someone stepped on Ginny's foot. "Are you alright, Ginny?" He asked. Maybe it was stupid to come in here, after all. It was just a broom. They could just turn around and go back out if she was really hurt?

"Fine," Ginny scowled at the Huff, who had the decency to look embarrassed and apologized profusely. "Can we go find a place to sit down?" Ginny fully expected Harry to grab her hand again and pull her through the crowd to safety - he was chivalrous like that. She was surprised to find he had never let go of her hand in the first place.

Dobby fianlly managed to get the remaining monkeys back into the small canisters. Ginny had shrunk them and after she left with Harry, he placed them back on the shelf. He turned to see the red headed Ron standing alone in the front of the store. "Masters Wezzie, it's masters Weezie, the most loyal friend of Harry Potah, is Harry Potah heres sir?" he asked Ron.

Harry nodded and pulled her out of the crowd and away from the store. She had a slightly amused, puzzeled look about her. When they were outside, they found a bench and he let Ginny sit down. He knelt down beside the bench and looked up at her, "Are you alright?" He asked, looking worried. "I'm sorry... we shouldn't have gone in there in the first place."

Ginny extracted her hand from his and lifted her foot to look at it. "I would gladly lose a foot for the sake of Quidditch," she said lightly. "A few bruises were worth it. But I do think I want to head back to the shop now. I'm not sure I trust Ron not to make a bigger mess than Luna did." She climbed unsteadily to her feet. That stupid git of a Hufflepuff had seriously bruised her instep, but the shop wasn't far down the street. "Shall we?" she said with a smile.

They started to walk towards the shop, but Harry noticed Ginny limping. He wanted to offer help, but he thought offering to carry her would be a bit drastic. "Uh... you need help, Gin?" He said, awkwardly offering his arm for her to use to support herself somehow.

That arm was the most tempting thing, but Ginny had this sinking suspicion that if Harry put his arm around her right now, she would never recover. Her heart would just break. "I'm fine," she said, her tone light and airy. She couldn't be so foolish as to let him get close to her heart again. This was Harry, and whatever she felt for him NOW, a girl didn't get over their first crushes easily.

The store was on the corner, and Ginny was more glad to see it then she thought possible. "Any exciting plans for the day, Harry? Or did you just need to stock up on your Skiving Snackboxes to get out of work?"

"Ginny..." Harry started, but decided she must have had her own reasons for not wanting help. "Well, Hermione and Elizabeth are here, looking for dresses and other stuff that I really don't care about," Harry said, without even remembering that Ginny didn't know the name of his fiancee. "And, well, Ron and I said we would come, but... obviously we're not helping them."

Elizabeth was a bit hesitant at first when Harry and Ron said they would come shopping, but she was relieved when they walked off to do their own thing. Harry had been a bit distant this morning, but Elizabeth figured that was because yesterday had been tough on him - not that she knew exactly what happened. Elizabeth and Hermione entered a boutique down a small off-shoot from the main alley. Elizabeth knew the shopkeeper from school, they hadn't run in the same crowd, but they were relatively good friends nonetheless.

"Hello, Jessica. This is Hermione, my maid of honour" she nodded in Hermione's direction. "I've come to find the perfect wedding dress"

"Why of course" Jessica said, shaking Hermione's hand. " I've been looking out for dresses i think would look great on you, ever since you said you were getting married. Come with me"

She led the pair to the back fitting room and started handing Elizabeth dresses. Elizabeth grabbed one and went to try it on.

Hermione was feeling very girlish and giggly. They were weddding dress shopping! Not for herself, of course, but nevertheless it was exctiting! She met a friend of Elizabeth's who worked at the store and follwed them back to where there were tons of dresses. Hermione looked through various dresses and was amazed by the variety. Each one seemed to hold its own beauty.

"Let me know if you need help with anything, Elizabeth," Hermione said while her friend was trying a dress on.

Ron nodded at his little sister’s desire. He was glad that his only and little sister was doing all right. He was happy that Ginny became a brave lady, just like Hermione. He smiled and waved goodbye, as the two left him inside the shop to watch it along with Dobby.

A minute or so, he jumped, and almost fell, when Dobby the house elf surprised him by asking a question. He replied to the elf, “Yes Dobby. He’s with Ginny,” using his head to signal where were the two went. “So, now you’re working here Dobby?” he asked making few steps away from the elf.

Elizabeth emerged from the dressing room, wearing a simple white gown with a long, straight skirt and puff sleeves. She did a twirl for Hermione.

"What do you think? I reckon I should go sleeveless, seeing as it's summer and all"

"Yes. Strapless or skinny straps, I'd say. You don't want to be too hot, nor do you want any accidents... I've heard some horrible stories about women who have had strapless gowns on..." Hermione seemeed to shiver at the thought. She looked over the dress that Elizabeth was wearing. It was very pretty, but a bit too puffy for Hermione's liking.

Looking at all of the dresses, for the first time during all of the wedding planning, Hermione almost wished it was she who was getting married. She didn't know who to, of course... Where had Ron and Harry gone? She made a mental note to find them when they were done. They sort of drifted off without a goodbye.

"Elizabeth?" Ginny repeated. "That's a pretty name. I bet she's lovely and wonderful to have won the heart of our own Mr. Potter. Won't you tell us all about her?" Ginny skipped ahead of him and walked backwards so that she was standing right in front of Harry as they both walked. She waved her wand in front of him like a Muggle microphone and smiled a cheesy smile reminiscent of Gilderoy Lockhart.

Harry's eyes lightened and he started to laugh. "Okay, Ms. Weasley. She's a very nice girl..." He thought, not as nice as you "...charming..." ...Though not as charming as you... "...pretty..." ...But you're beautiful... His lighthearted expression seemed to be somber now. He couldn't believe he just thought that. He was getting married to someone who he loved.

"Ginny..." He said, stopping where he was. "I think I should go... find... Hermione and Elizabeth..." He didn't want to. It was what was right, however, not what he wanted.

Harry stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, and Ginny continued a few steps walking backwards before she returned to him. His face showed clear misery about something. "Are you alright, Harry?" Ginny asked, but he seemed to shrug off the question and started moving towards the store to pick up Ron. "Harry?"

"Yes, that's everything," Luna replied, waving her wand at the beds, drawers, and wardrobes, just in case there were any of their belongings hiding.

Without another word or warning, Luna grabbed onto her trunk and apparated back to the flat. When she arrived, she hurried over the bedroom in the corner which she had chosen for herself. She hadn't thought anyone would mind since it was, in fact, the smallest room in the flat. But, it had everything she could want in a room.

"Ginny..." Harry turned around to face her, which just seemed to make things worse, "I just thought some things I shouldn't have. I can't stay here with you Ginny... it'll just make what I'm feeling worse... guilty..." He actually seemed to be thinking out loud or talking to himself rather than Ginny.

Ginny looked helplessly at Harry. Had she done something wrong? No! She hadn't done anything. "Fine, Harry," she said in a monotone. She stepped out of the way and let him walk past her back to the store. Alone. He disappeared into the store, and she sat down on the curb, her head in her hands. She was completely and totally insane. And her heart hurt.

George gave out a shout of frustration that had several of the portraits complaining about him waking them. He ignored them and apparated out of the room with a loud clap. Somehow, George managed to pull himself together enough to get back to the flat, where he found Luna. What was it about this girl that made him so... easily angered? He was usually so happy-go-lucky.

"Are you rude, selfish, or just completely mad?" He fumed at her from the doorway of the room she was apparently claiming as her own. She looked at him blankly before returning to her clothes, and he gave a tired sigh and left. Might as well go and see what Ginny was up to anyway.

He entered the store to find Harry coming in through the front door to retrieve Ron. The young man looked awful. "It go that badly?" George surmised. "Ginny can be a bit of hellfire when she wants to be."

When walking into the shop, instead of answering George's question, he said, "Do me a favor... if Neville ever stops in here, tell him I will be replying to his letter... eventually." Wit that, he grabbed Ron and they walked outside to where he saw Ginny sitting there looking miserable. He couldn't help himself, he felt as if he were being driven by an invisible force over to her.

When he reached her, he knelt down in front of her and lifted her chin up with his finger so that their eyes were level. "Please don't feel bad, Ginny, you didn't do anything, it's me. I... I'll come visit you sometime this week, I promise... but... I need to go now." He leaned over and gave her a hug and then stood up, walked back to Ron, and together they set off down the alley.

George shrugged and straightened a few things on the counter. He might not need to interfere afterall, if Harry was affected that badly by his baby sister. Maybe the brothers needed to have a little... conference with Harry on how one goes about treating the youngest Weasley. George smiled at that. Imagine telling Bill and Charlie that someone had hurt Ginny... they'd be here on the next Portkey.

Ginny stiffened under Harry's hug and let him walk away without another word. It wasn't her fault? What wasn't her fault? If it wasn't her fault, why was one of her best friends in the world pulling away and walking away? If she met that Elizabeth, Ginny felt like she might pop her right in the nose. Hard. Blood-flowing hard. Having six brothers had at least taught her that much.

Just after Harry passed him by, Ron waved at his little sister. He said, “See you Ginny. Don’t worry, I’ll try to sneak out of the house and visit you.” He smiled and continued, “If you need someone other than Fred or George, I’ll be here, okay?” He turned his back from her and rose up his hand and said it one more time. “See you!”

Walking down the alley, towards the shop where Hermione and Elizabeth were, he glanced at Harry feeling that something had happen because of his pal’s reaction. He wanted to ask him “How did it go?” but he decided not to say it. He was thinking that Harry might explode or get irritated if he inquired him such question about spending his time with Ginny.

The two continued their stroll, wrapped by silence.

"Ron..." Harry said, "If you started to... feel a certain way about someone... something else, but it was considered wrong if you did, because you are supposed to feel a certain way about something else entirely... what would you do?" Harry knew that this probably made no sense to Ron, but maybe he would understand where he was going. They had arrived outside of the store that Elizabeth and Hermione said they were going to be in and they took a seat on a bench while waiting for the girls.
