Jamie held on to Jason. "I understand. I am here now. Don't worry about it. Try and have a little fun." she said.

"Ok I will and I am glad you understand Jamie" Jason told her.

Chris smiled at Melinda. He was glad that whole thing was over. He saw Jason come back, he better go talk to him. "Be right back." He told her. And went to go find Jason.

Chris ran up to Jason. "Hey look I am sorry I didn't come find you, its me and Melinda were kinda haveing a bit of drama ourselfs." Chris told Jason.

Cale sighed and shook his head, "Well, actually, I think I probably started a few fights as well. You know what? After becoming friends with you, I've changed a bit too. I used to be really self-centered and...well, an egomaniac. But I don't know if it's Cooper's and the fact that I'm seperated from you or what, but ever since we've become friends I'm not thinking about myself as much. I mean, I admit, every once in a while I get a pretty unnecessary ego boost, but I don't go bragging about it anymore." he explained. He hadn't realized until now just how much he had changed. But hearing her talk about how he had changed her just made him realize how much she had changed him.

He chuckled when she said she had run straight to her mum to gossip about how looks. "Well, I think I thought you were cute subconsciously, and it slipped out as soon as she said you thought I was cute. See? I've always liked you...I just didn't realize it until we were apart," he added, blushing as usual.

That was when he thought about something that could either be great or potentially dangerous. "Hey, how do you think Em is gonna take the news that we're...going on a date?" he asked, chosing his last words carefully.

He burst into laughter as she began to laugh at his silly muggle pose. "What? I think it makes me look cool!" he joked, striking the pose yet again.

Awwwww. It was moments like this one that made Anna's heart just melt. He was being so honest with her, and he'd even admitted she changed him, too. If there happened to be a mirror nearby, which there wasn't, Anna imagined that she'd probably be able to look into it and see herself with this goofy smile on her face and a dreamy look in her eyes. At the beginning of the school year, if someone would have told Anna that she'd be this smitten with a boy, she probably would have laughed in their face. Or worse, she'd probably have hexed them. Oddly enough though, Anna was starting to realize that the more time she spent with Cale, the more she found herself becoming one of those girls who always get dreamy-eyed and dazzled around the boys they like. And surprisingly, that realization wasn't bothering her one bit.

"Yeah," Anna said, looking down and already blushing at what she was about to say. "The girls used to pick on me a lot because I used to always sit by the windowsill at night, and I would wonder how you were doing over at Cooper's. Before I realized I liked you, I used to get mad at myself for always thinking about you so much."

Uh oh. Emma. That'd been one person Anna hadn't thought about yet. What would she think? "I don't know, Cale," Anna replied, giving him a thoughtful look. "You don't think she would mind...do you?"

"I dunno," Cale muttered. How WOULD Emma take the news? "I mean, we could always just...not tell her. At least not right away. She's in America, smitten with some guy named Nick at the moment. If we told her now, she'd probably just forget, she's so caught up in this guy," he explained. Ok, so his plan probably wasn't the smartest way, but honestly, when would Emma be around anyways? Never, at least not until she finished school. Maybe they'd see her once or twice over the summer, but other than that...she would be thousands of miles away.

"Some part of me wants to believe she'd actually be happy for us. I mean, who else would your first cousin want you to go out on a date with besides her best friend?" Anna replied. "I don't think that's something we have to worry about right now anyway, though. The chances of her even finding out we went on a date are next to none. If even that at all. Like you said, she's in America dating some guy named Nick, so she should be happy that I've found someone, too. Besides, it's not my fault she took off to America and left me at Hogwarts with her cute cousin," Anna replied with a laugh.

Okay, so she hadn't meant to say that outloud, but why should she hide it now anyway? He already knew, thanks to her Mum, that she's had a crush on him since Diagon Alley. No use trying to hide it now.

"That's true!" Cale said in agreement, grinning to himself. "She's the one who deserted us. Actually, I blame her dad--he's a bit of a paranoid loony, but he's nice. I don't think we have to worry about her for a while," he added, leaning back once more on the back of his arms.

"So, are we on for the next Hogsmeade weekend, then?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah, we're on!" she said, not being able to help the goofy grin that she could feel creeping up on her face once again. "Madame Puddifoots. I'll be there. That is, if the stupid Ministry doesn't keep us from going to Hogsmeade again." She rolled her eyes at that thought. If the Ministry ruined her first date with Cale, she'd...she'd...well, there was nothing she could really do about it, but she couldn't guarantee she'd be a very nice person to be around for several days.

"Well, they have to let us back there SOMETIME," he said with a groan. "I hate this whole Ministry thing. especially Thorton. OH! That reminds me," he added, sitting up again. "I never told you about what Thorton made us do in Care of Magical Creatures," he said with a sigh, a frown forming on his face. Ouch. Even the memory hurt him.

Reese saw Jason come back...and Jamie was with him.Chris was with Jason and....Where was Melinda?She started searching for her and finally found her."Hey,I better be heading out,"she said.Don't want to get my adopted brother upset.Got enough bruises as it is,she thought."Well,nice party,Mel."She smiled and headed upstairs.She wlake dpast the patio and saw Cale and Anna.She smiled at them and headed towards the door.

"I know what you mean," Anna agreed, nodding. "I used to think of Hogwarts as my second home, near about my first home, but now, I'm just ready to graduate and put this mess behind me. There's really only a few people that keep me hanging in," she said, winking at Cale.

"Thornton? I've never heard of him. If he's anything like our Ministry professors, he must be evil," Anna replied. "What'd he do to you?" While waiting for Cale to reply, Anna suddenly noticed that the two of them were still seated on the ground, the place they'd ended up after she pretty much tackled him with a hug. She smiled at the memory, but she didn't move or bother to get up from her spot. Now that she really thought about it, she was sitting kind of close to him, and that was more than perfectly fine in her book.

"Lucky for you, you've actually experienced Hogwarts," Cale sighed. "This is my first year and it's been a horrible mess!" he chuckled slightly.

"Yeah, well...first off, he made us Gryffindors sit in the way back and called us dangerous. THEN he made us wash nifflers, and boy, did they stink! Then my niffler decided to go and take a bite out of my hand and I lost 5 points and was forced to clean their cages too. And Thorton actually encouraged the Slytherin's to bully us while we were washing them! So, of course, Josh Moonsoon was all sour over the whole party thing, and heckled me the most and...well, he was just CRUEL. I guess I deserved it, though, after what I did to him at Reese's house. But even Shel was shocked at how he was acting!" he explained in one long explanation. "So, I've decided I'm never going to Thorton's class again. I didn't get any points at all, so it was just a waste of my time and a hit to my self esteem."

Anna's face fell in sadness as she was reminded that Cale had never even had the chance to experience Hogwarts. That thought upset her...and made her mad all at the same time. "You've never even been to Hogwarts, have you, Cale? I'm sorry," Anna replied. "Here I am complaining about the stupid ministry schools, and you've never even experienced Hogwarts at all." Anna looked up at him with an apologetic look, then added, "I'm still hoping that maybe by the end of the school year they'll realize the mistake and let us go back home to Hogwarts. Wouldn't it be awesome if I could see you all the time in the Common Room?" On that last thought, Anna's whole face lit up, and she flashed him a wide smile.

Anna then listened on as Cale explained the horrifying Care of Magical Creatures lesson. "WHAT?!?! Josh Moonson did that to you?" Anna nearly shrieked. "Wait until I see him at Hogsmeade!" A thousand and one ideas were popping through Anna's head, most of them involving painful hexes. "And all because of something deal with me at Reese's party! I'm sorry, Cale! I hate that you went through that."

Melinda looked at Reese. "Alright...just be careful on your way home...and thank you for coming," she said, and hugged her. As she saw Reese heading out the door, she also saw Anna and Cale, Wow, love was actually amazing, and that couple sure deserved some time.

Reese walked past a clock and looked at the time.Maybe she could stay a little bit longer...It took her a few minutes to decide what to do and finally decided to stay.She smiled and went back to the basement."I guess I'll stay a little while.Maybe help you clean up,"she told Melinda.

Melinda saw Reese back. She decided to stay. Oh, the cake was not cut. But for that, she would only give a piece to everyone without the whole birthday ritual. "Ok...anytime...and if you need to go in a second, count on the...chimney upstairs, it's connected to the Floo Network..." She suggested Reese.

"Chris, well you are ok with me now but the others that are my suppossed freinds and family of mine and they know who they are are not off the hook with me" Jason told him. " Still ,it would have been appreciated if you and the others would have come out to talk to me" Jason said.

"Okay,Melinda,"Reese said."I'll remember that.I just want to have a little tiny conversation with Cale before I leave.I don't know how long it will be before I see him,again."

"Jason I just told you, I would have came to talk to you but Melinda and me were I don't kinda not talking to each other." Chris said not wanting to tell Jason to much more then that. "And I did come out to see where you went, but you had left already." Chris said.

"See how I just proved my point Jamie and Chris' Jason told them. " Others get talked to real fast and I am forgotten" Jason said with disgust. " Do you think we should leave Jamie?" Jason asked her. "You are ok with me because you at least looked for me and talked to me" Jason told him.

Chris was getting kinda of sick of Jason's over reacting about every little thing. "Bye Jason." Chris said to him. He turned to walk back in.

"That would be great...come to think of it, my uncle works in the Department of Accidents and Catastrophes. Maybe he could snoop around a bit and find out some details," Cale said with a playful grin. "He's so flipping tall, he could easily read something over someone's shoulder and not even have them notice!" That was when he winked at her again. One of these days, he was sure his eye would get stuck like that.

"Yeah," he sighed. "It was pretty bad," he muttered. That was when she mentioned confronting him at Hogsmeade, "No!" he exclaimed, "I mean...we got it all taken care of. We're square now. Although, a little threatening on your part might ensure it wouldn't happen again," he added with another playful wink. "Seriously, don't worry about it. We talked it over, and we're cool now."

"Chris, I was not leaving" Jason told him. "So I am not allowed to have feelings like everyone else?" Jason asked Chris. "So I guess I have to be a statue?" jason asked Chris. " Ot is ok, i will take care of all my freinds and family but I will never again ask for help again or want to be cared for again" jason said angrily. " You had a fight with Melinda and I am sorry " Jason told him. " Excuse me for trying to be nice to everyone" Jason is very disgusted because he thought best friends would understand each other. " There are others besides you here that have never ever said a word to me and they are cousins and another friend" Jason explianed to Chris. He was tallking about Melinda, Anna, Cale and a little about Reese.

"Really?" Anna asked, clearly getting overly-excited. "He may know my father! My dad only worked there for a week before he decided that he really didn't need or want to work, but they still may know each other. How long's your uncle been working there?" Anna disliked her father's attitude about work sometimes. Okay, sure, he'd inherited a huge sum of money and involved himself in many business dealings that had brought in large sums of money, but did he have to act like a spoiled rich man? Ugh.

"If you say so, Cale," Anna replied. "You know me, though. I don't back down to anyone - at all. But since the two of you seem to have it all taken care of, I guess I'll step away - this time." She winked back at Cale to let him know that he shouldn't take her completely seriously. I mean, sure, she'd have to fight the urge to hex Josh to the moon and back if it happened again, but she did have some self-control and self-dignity.
