Anna could feel her heart pounding faster and faster as she saw Cale heading towards her. It was weird the way he still had that affect on her after months of her having realized how much she cared about him. He still had that unique ability to make her just want to blush and giggle anytime he was around. She'd have to work on that, though. Anna Greingoth did NOT Squeal. And she most certainly did not giggle.

"Hmm," Anna said, trying to act like she really had to think about the answer to the question he'd just asked. "I was actually thinking of standing here for a little while." She smirked and then broke into a big smile. "Kidding!" she squealed, rushing to him and giving him a big hug. "I'm so excited to see you here! Are you...with someone, or are you just alone?"

Ugh. Anna hated the fact that she'd become a little jealous over him. It just wasn't nice to be that way. Besides, he wasn't even hers to be a little jealous over. Ugh...still, a little part of her just had to know.

Melinda looked surprised at Chris, but suddenly saw the most romantic scene in the world. Anna and Cale. She sighed and giggled. Gosh, they were going to notice, or not?... She just smiled at the lovely couple...Wait, were they a couple yet?

Cale grinned even brighter as he gave Anna a big bear hug. He really did love his hugs. Once they let go, he ran a hand through his hair, thankfully this time without any embarrassing mishaps. "So, how have you been since I last saw you?" he asked. That had been...oh gosh, he could hardly remember, it had been so long!

Blushing, he looked at his scuffed up Converse shows and shrugged, "Nope, I'm by myself. But now I'm talking to you. Not that I'm with you or anything. Not that that would be a bad thing! I...nevermind," he said, shaking his head.

Cale could feel Melinda's eyes watching them. He hadn't realized they were so...interesting. "Uhh, wanna find somewhere to talk?" he asked Anna. He looked back at Melinda and gave her a smile as she giggled at them.

Melinda reads thoughts. Cale was absolutely uncomfortable when she giggled like that. She just blushed and smiled. That was not wise of her to do. Not at all. "Upstairs...there is the library...just think of the library, and as soon as you open the door...you will be there..." She suggested Cale and Anna.

Chris smiled at Cale and Anna, but them he remembered what just happened. "Look Mel I am really really really sorry, it just sliped out." He said he was lost for words.

Anna watched as Cale ran his hands through his hair, something she'd learned he had a habit of doing. She didn't even know if he realized he did it or not, but all she really knew was that she actually found it really cute. And he even managed to run his hands all the way through without hitting a single tangle this time. Impressive. Anna wanted to crack up laughing over the fact that she'd actually stared at Cale Newell long enough to know what habits he had.

"It has been a while since I've seen you," she replied. "Way too long," she wanted to add. "I've been...cool, ya know," she said, not really sounding all that sure. "Actually Cale, it hasn't been all that cool. I'm sure you know what I mean...you deal with ministry professors, too." She weakly smiled and then added, "I'm hanging in there."

Oh, good. He wasn't with anyone...but her. "Oh, good," she said. "I'm glad. I mean, well, you know. I'm glad, because ermmm..."

"...yeah, let's go somewhere to talk," she said, deciding to just stop that other thought before she got herself in too deep.

"Upstairs?" Anna asked. She wanted them to go upstairs...to the library? Anna couldn't ask Cale to go to the library with her. Was that even a place any girl asked a guy to go with her? Hmm. "Actually, erm, do you have a patio or something, Melinda?" Anna asked, looking at Cale and shrugging.

Cale grinned. "Oh, I have a TON of stuff to tell you that I didn't get a chance to last time. Because of...well, yeah. Reese's party," he finished lamely. No need to go into details about the Cora breakup just yet.

A library? Cale didn't care where they were, just as long as they could talk. Plus, Chris and Melinda probably wanted some time alone too. He blushed and looked at his shoes again. Why hadn't he worn his new red Converse? Why did he have to choose the ugly scuffed black ones?

Melinda looked at Chris. She was so confused. Was it confused or overwhelmed? "Look...don't you worry, we are teenagers...if those words slip out...we must think...it's nothing..." She said and sighed.

Melinda approached Anna. She got close to her ear. "Ok...here is my little secret...that door, that specific door takes you anywhere you demand it to take you..." She said, pointing to the door that opens the basement. "Just think of the place and voilá! You will be there in a second..." She whispered, then stood up straight and smiled.

"A ton of stuff to tell me?" she repeated, getting excited at exactly what that could be. "This I have to hear." She smiled at Cale and actually winked at him. She was getting really brave when it came to him. Maybe she wouldn't always be a basket case of nerves around him after all.

Anna listened as Melinda described how her door worked. Hmm. Interesting. "Thanks, Melinda! That's one awesome door!" she said, smiling at the girl. "See ya around. Come on, Cale," she said, walking over towards the door.

"Erm, does this thing work like apparition?" she asked Cale. "How do I think about something and take you along with me?" Ugh. This was weird. "Give me your hand, Cale," she said, not sure at all how this frazzling door worked.

Chris looked at Melinda, he meant what he said. Oh he didn't know what to do now. He had to talk to her alone. He didn't know how he felt he never felt like this before.

"Yeah. Starting with...what happened at Reese's party," he said, blushing as he spoke. He couldn't wait to tell her that he was no longer with Cora.

"Don't look at me," he muttered, grabbing her hand, just in case. Her hand was so little compared to his! "Maybe we just think of...her patio," he suggested before reaching forward. Picturing a deck and chairs, he walked through, pulling her in behind him.

There was a strange gust of wind, and he felt the ground fall from under his feet, but instead of falling into a pit of darkness, he landed on solid ground. Looking around, he was standing on a patio, and he could see Melinda and Chris by looking in through a nearby window. Well, that had been really easy! He checked to make sure Anna was still next to him in one piece. "You ok?" he asked with a soft smile.

Melinda could feel Chris was feeling a little confused. She wanted to talk to him too, but...that I love yousentence was absolutely...surprising.
She just tried to smile and winked. "Don't worry...we'll talk later..." She whispered.

"Yes...it does..." Melinda answered right away though the question was for Cale. She just smiled at the fact that they needed to talk about a lot, just like her and Chris.

Melinda waved her hand. Anna and Cale arrived at the patio in one piece each.

Oohh, it was about Reese's party. A little bit of the nervous feelings came flooding back in, but Anna did her best to push them away. This was a topic she'd been waiting to discuss with him for a while now. But...what if he was taking back what he'd told her? What if he'd gone off to talk to Cora and found out he loved her too much to ever let her go. Anna would be crushed if that happened. She'd allowed herself to get her hopes up that she could one day officially be Cale's girl.

That was when he grabbed her hand and all thoughts of worrying about Cale and Cora flew out the window. Anna looked down at their hands for a few seconds, smiling at the way his hand engulfed hers. She was so lost in thought about those hands that she barely noticed when he started to walk forward. When she finally realized what was going on, she started to panic a little. "Wait, Cale, no!" she said, but her voice got lost in this gust of wind that seemed to be carrying her along to someplace else.

Then...wow. They landed. On an actual patio. And the best part was that neither of them had fallen in the landing. "Huh?" Anna asked, replying to Cale's question about being okay. Anna was still a dazed over what just happened. Then she looked up and caught Cale's eyes. "I...I'm more than okay..."

"Oh. Ok. Good," Cale replied with a grin. He looked back into the room through the window. There. Melinda and Chris were alone now, like they should be, and he and Anna were alone too. Perfect.

"So...." he muttered, grabbing a chair and sitting down on it. He wasn't sure how he should say what he wanted to tell her. Running a hand through his hair and kicking the pavement with his shoes absentmindedly, he decided the best way to tell her was to just...say it. Just flat out say it. "IbrokeupwithCora!" he exclaimed, a bit too fast. Clearing his throat, he blushed. "I mean...I broke up with Cora."

There. It was out. His big secret revealed. And he had no idea how she would react to it.

"Alright." He said. He felt so bad. He put his hands in his pockets, really far down in his pockets, and put his head down.

Okay, so she was alone with him. This really didn't make her as nervous as she thought it would, though. As a matter of fact, she felt really comfortable around him. Maybe she was getting used to him being around, which was odd, because they really didn't get to see each other as much as Anna would like them to.

Anna followed Cale's lead and grabbed a nearby chair. She sat down just in time to see him run his hands through his hair again. She just watched him and smiled at him. Why was he kicking the pavement like that? Was he...nervous? That thought made Anna nervous, too. Her mind drifted back to what she was thinking only minutes earlier about Cale and Cora.

She was still watching him kick his shoes when he blurted out that he'd broken up with Cora. Anna's head shot up so fast she nearly got dizzy. She was pretty sure she was so shocked that she was, without realizing it, holding her breath...and staring at him with her jaw dropped to the ground. "You...really?!?!" she said, a little too excited. Wasn't she supposed to be comforting him first over the ordeal he'd been through...and then get really excited? "I'm sorry. I hope the two of you are okay," she said, not really sure how to comfort a guy over a break-up she was excited about.

Cale grinned in spite of himself. He knew it wasn't a very nice subject to talk about, and if Cora had heard them she probably would have hexed them both by now, but Anna seemed really...excited about it. And that made him excited, because he had done it all for her. He broke up with Cora so she wouldn't be hurt by his feelings for Anna, which were way stronger than his feelings for Cora. "Yeah, I did," he said, chuckling a bit to himself. "You seem kind of...excited," he added with a wink. They had, after all, pretty much admitted everything at Reese's house anyways. It wasn't news to him that she liked him or anything.

Jason sees the couples together and misses Jamie. Jason happy to see Anna and Cale together. Jason walks out to the backyard sad. No one will talk to him about this because they are all in their little world.

Just seeing Cale grin made Anna smile as big of a smile as she could manage. She couldn't believe she'd been lucky enough to meet up with him at this party and spend time with him alone. There were no audiences or no distractions. Just them.

"I...is it that obvious, Cale?" she asked, laughing at the situation. "I mean, yeah, I am." Okay, so now she was really nervous, and there was really nothing she could do to calm herself down. "I mean, I'm sorry you two went through a big ordeal and all, though."

Jason just stares at the stars. He knew no one would come and comfort him.

Cale blushed. "Yeah, a little bit," he muttered, smiling at her as he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Yeah, it was...well, I'm not going to lie, it was horrible. It was a big, crying, shouting, horrible mess," he explained, leaning back in his chair. "But--I know she knows, deep down, I did it to stop hurting her. I couldn't keep up a relationship with her when there was...someone else."

Uh oh. He had said too much. Even after admitting everything before, he was still a little embarrassed to come out and say it. How hard was it to say "Anna, I like you"? It was very hard, actually. Only because he didn't know where it would go from there. Or where it was going to go from here. They both liked each other. So...now what?

Jason is going to leave permanently if Jamie does not come here or if no one talks to him. Jason knew he was not wanted here at all. He thought he was after Melinda wanted him back.

Anna laughed a little and looked down at her feet when Cale admitted that it was a little obvious that she was excited about the news. It was probably more than a little obvious. Her smiled faded to an expressionless face when she listened to Cale describe the break-up as a big, crying, shouting, horrible mess. Anna nodded, following along as Cale described the whole messy ordeal. "Wow, Cale. I'm sorry the two of you had to go through that, though. I understand why you broke up with her, and I'm positive she does, too.

"Someone else, huh?" Anna asked. She was about to put him on the spot big time. "So, who is this someone else?" She sat back in her chair and gave him a shifty smile. She couldn't wait to hear his response to this one.

Cale's face turned crimson. "Who is it? Uh, well, it's..." God, SAY IT! What was wrong with his mouth today? Usually it said whatever it felt like saying, but today, around Anna, he was having trouble finding words. "I well, it's you, I mean...didn't I make that clear before?" he stammered. He was terrible at flirting. He hadn't been good at it with Cora, so what had made him think he could flirt with Anna?

A second later, it occurred to him that she had been joking. Oh good lord. He might as well just go crawl in a hole and die. "Oh, you...weren't serious, were you?" he mumbled with a sheepish grin and a small chuckle. Well DUH. "Sorry, I'm a bit nervous, if you haven't already guessed," he explained, his face on fire.

A bit? That was an understatement.

Jason calls his broom "Wild Thing" Jason writes to Melinda " I had a good time but with Jamie missing right now, it is not fun. I understand couples want to be together. No one seems to want to talk to me. Hope you liked your Karoke machine and Karoke Cds. Hope you have a lot if fun with the machine.

He puts the note on the Karoke machine. Jason walks out to the yard again where "Wild Thing" his brooom is leaning against the Manor. Jason stays just a little longer and sighs.
