Khloe ran her fingers through her light blonde hair as she approached the cafe. Of course she was late. Dom had just gotten a break and Khloe was at home with the kids. The kids were acting terrible today, sigh.

She walked up to Dominic, clearly tired and in a bad mood. Then again, Khloe was nearly always in a bad mood ? The happy Khloe was just an act, tehehe."Hey."She said, flatly as she sat down next to him."How is work today ?"She asked. Today was her day off.

Dominic raised an eyebrow as Khloe all but skulked in. Of course he knew she wasn't always bubbly and happy, but he didn't think he'd ever seen her this down. Turning in his seat as she slid in next to him, Dominic put his arm on the booth behind her, brow furrowed in concern.

"Hey, love." He replied in a fairly happy tone, he wasn't sure whether to act all happy to lift her spirits or be just as sullen. Might as well try cheery. "Work was...well, work. But it wasn't as bad. How about the kids?"

Khloe smiled weakly at Dominic, always was a good a husband, Dom was. He was always so concerned about anything. It wasnt a bad thing though. Khloe layed one hand on her stomach,"Awful. Kaydence wouldn't listen to ANYTHING I said. It was starting to annoy me so bad."She said, shaking her head."Hopefully this one won't be as stubborn."She said, pointing to her belly. Ah...pregnancy...she had a love/hate relationship with it.

Dominic's smile grew as Khloe gave him a small smile. It wasn't her normal one of course, but something was better than nothing. Leaning forward, he gave her a quick peck. "I'm sorry love." Damn, he felt so guilty about Khloe having to watch Kaydence alone so often. Oh how he wished he had more time to be at home with his kid.

Struck with an idea, Dom's face lite up a little. "Tell you what, how about I take the afternoon off from work tomorrow and I'll stay with Kaydence! And you can have a afternoon with your friends." It'd be good for both of them.

Dominic's smile grew even wider as Khloe spoke of the coming baby. He was so excited! Laying a hand over her's, he chuckled. "I dunno. If the baby has my genes, it'll be as stubborn as a mule. Just like Kay."

Khloe shrugged her shoulders as he pecked her lightly on the cheek,"It's not your fault. You work all the time, Dom. You need to get at work and I need to be with Kay, I can't buy Kay her cute little outfits without Daddy's paycheck !"She said, chuckling slightly. This reminded her, she needed to get more little hair clips for Kay, her hair was getting so long of course though she took after her Dad with the curls. It was hard to fix curly hair !

Khloe shook her head, smiling as Dominic spoke,"You don't have to do that."She said, taking a sip of water."You really don't have to do that, anyway...I can't really do much with my friends you know....being pregnant and all."she said.

Khloe snorted as Dominic spoke, she let go of her hand off her belly."Gee thanks for making my children stubborn."she said. The truth was that Khloe was much more stubborn than Dominic was. Minus the stubborness she was a good mother though

"Hmm...I guess you're right," she remarked. Come to think of it, Dan...as well as Sam and Wes...had always treated her really, really well. Since the day she'd met them all on level three---when Sam was still a division head there---it seemed like they'd all gone out of their way to make her feel welcome. "I don't think he'd turn me into a guinea pig either..." Come to think of it, she sort of thought she was the last person Dan would charm into an animal. Allie was slowly but surely catching on to just why those three were busy so nice to her.

...and it sort of made her smile.

Allie perked up when Sam mentioned how her alarm clock going off an hour too early had at least given them a chance to talk. "You're right, Sam, and I was in a really bad mood about it until you joined me at the table. Thank you," she said, giving him a smile. "You know, there's a Coffee Corner on level one...I had it put in myself. You can get lattes and mochas and all sort of different blends there. It's out in the corridor, so anyone and everyone has access to it." She knew some people just liked to hang out in a cafe while drinking their coffee, though. It was more of a social place that didn't involve going into work early.

Dominic chuckled, it was true, Khloe did seem to like to buy Kay cute little things. But then again, he didn't mind. He knew from the very beginning that Khloe would keep their kids stylish! "I know, I just wish I could get time off a little more. I feel like I never have time to play with Kaydence anymore."

Dom raised an eye, "You could go...get a manicure, or go to the spa." That wouldn't tire her out too much would it? "Or, tomorrow we can just spend the day with all three of us. Well, four of us." he chuckled slightly, sending Khlo a wink.

He laughed at Khloe's words, shaking his head slightly, "Your quite welcome love!" Though of course, it was definitely not one-sided.

Khloe shrugged her shoulders, "That is what happens when you have a job, Dom. You have to work all the time...unless you are part time which you are NOT."she said, giggling slightly."And anyway...you spend time with Kaydence, just not as much as I do."she said. It was expected though, she was the mother. However, Kaydence was very attached to Dominic."when you watch a two year old all day the only thing you want to do is sleep."Khloe stated, laying her head on the table. She was so tired, she was glad she had friends who were willing to watch Kaydence for her.

Khloe looked up, thinking. Was she doing anything tomorrow ? Aha, yes...she had an appoinment for an ultrasound."I have to go to the doctor's tomorrow but we could still do something."

Dominic chuckled, "Ah, I wish I could work only part time." But that was impossible, because he had to bring in money. Especially considering there was another child coming. "It's true, I do get some time with her." he smiled slightly, at least he and Khloe were still together. A few of Dom's friends had already had kids then split. Rubbing her back, Dominic chuckled, "Aw, I'm sorry love. Would you rather just head home?"

Dom raised an eyebrow, "Want me to come with?"

Sam had taken Allie out of her bad mood? Yayyy! A little smile formed on his face due to his happiness of making Allie less irritable... and it also had to do with the fact that there was a cafe corner in the Ministry! GAH. He did not know this; why did he not know this? That really went to show that he needed to get walk around the Ministry more often. "I must go and see this coffee corner," he said. "If it has better coffee than this place, I might just have to spend my morning there." Hehe.

He took a look at his watch to see what time it was. It was about time to get head towards the Ministry, but he wasn't leaving until he asked Allie something...

"Allie, my apartment neighbor is cooking some barbeque tonight... and he invited me to eat over there. It's a little party type thing he does at least once a month, but I wanted to know if you would like to come along with me?" He asked. "Just a friends, of course!" He wasn't going to ask her out on a date justtt yet.

Hmm. This was a cute little place. Muggles always had cute little places. It was like, their specialty or something.

Rian hummed a made-up song to herself as she walked slowly around the cafe. She couldn't see any familiar faces - but that was no surprise. Devon was practically the only person she knew who worked at the Ministry. And since he was her fiance - oh, Merlin! Her fiance! - it was kind of sad that he was the only person she knew. BUT! She'd fix that. She'd meet new people.

Although...maybe later. For now, though, she just bought a cupcake from the nice muggle employee working there, and headed for a empty table.

Liliana sighed, and walked into the cafe, carrying Allie. Maizie had wanted to stay at home, so she was with the nanny. Finding a table, Liliana put the five year old into a chair and went up to order. She brought back a chocolate muffin for her daughter, and a latte for herself. sitting down, she realised how few people she knew from the ministry. As she sat down, however, Allie got up and headed towards a table. Liliana got up to get hre, but before she could, Aliie started to swat at the woman's leg. Liliana rushed over and picked the child up
'No, Allie' she said firmly 'That's not what we do, is it? No.' she smiled apologetically at the woman 'I'm ever so sorry about that' she said

Looking around, Rian spotted a woman that looked to be alone. Well, alone besides a little girl who was ADORABLE! Rian watched the girl curiously as she walked over, prepared to take her back to her mother. She looked down, smiling softly at the girl, until her mother walked over and picked her up.

"Oh, don't worry about it." she said cheerfully, turning her smile to look at the little girl's mother. "I don't mind, really. I have a little sister. And she's adorable - your little girl, I mean." At least she hoped she was her little girl...if not, that would be awkward. "Why don't you sit? There's enough room for three."

Liliana smiled and sat down, sitting Allie on her knee for the time being
'Thank you' she said to the woman 'I'm Liliana Bones, and this is Allie Mae.' she said, sipping at her latte. Mmm. The muggle knew how to make good coffee!

Alli smiled at the strange woman and banged her hand on the table
'"Lo' she said, looking at her mother

"I'm Rian Potter...soon to be Rian Blood." Cue the biiiiig grin. Rian just couldn't help it - she had to announce that she was going to be married. Ah! Ahem. Anyway.

"Pleasure to met you. Can I call you Lily?" because Rian was queen of nicknames, Oh, uh - where do you work?" she had been about to ask what department Liliana worked in, but then she realized she was in a muggle cafe. Lilliana and her adorable little girl could be muggles.

Liliana smiled
'Nice to meet you too. And congratulations!' she added. She presumed that Rian was going to be married. Because of the big grin. 'Yes, you can call me Lily. I think most people do now, anyway.' sigh. She liked Lily, sure, but her real name was pretty too. 'I work at the Ministry. Transportation' hmm. Even if Rian was a muggle, that shouldn't sound odd. There was a muggle ministry, right? There was a minister...

"Thanks!" Rian replied happily, taking a small bite from her cupcake. She smiled down at Allie, then looked back at Lily. "Oh, so you are at the ministry!" she felt sort of better talking to her, now. "I work in the Magical Creatures department." she told Lily, her voice getting a bit quieter.

"How old is Allie?" she asked suddenly, out of curiosity.

Lily smiled. Thank goodness Rian was in the ministry...
'Yes, I am. Magical Creatures sounds so interesting!' she said, thinking of her work at the Transportation department. It was kind of boring sometimes, but at least they got to go to Hogwarts sometimes and teach Apparation lessons. That was always fun. 'Allie's five' she said 'She's got a twin sister Maizie, but she wanted to stay at home today'

"I love animals, so it's pretty much the best place in the Ministry I could be." Rian smiled slightly, and shrugged. "But what I really want to do, is work at St. Mungo's. Ever since I was in school." But, for some reason, the Ministry just came up. As soon as Rian's aunt quit, Rian was hired. It just...happened like that. But, being a Healer was still Rian's dream.

She nodded to Allie. "Maizie's a really pretty name." she told Lily. "Are they yours?" she couldn't help but ask...

'I know what you mean. I've always wanted to be a Proffessor at Hogwarts, but the Ministry just... came up first' Lily said, nodding. Hogwarts was one of the things she'd wanted to do since she was the twins' age. She smiled at Rian 'Yes, they're mine' she said.

"Oh really?" That was actually kind of cool. Rian thought it took a good person to teach - or want to teach. They had to be smart, preferably fun, and like kids. Hey! Maybe Rian could be a teacher! "What subject would you want to teach?"

"She's adorable." she said again, laughing slightly. Hmm. Maybe Rian should just be a babysitter, since she likes kids so much, and doesn't have any of her own. And, her sister was getting too old to be really entertained by Rian.

Lily paused to think about that for a minute
'Probably Charms or History of Magic' she said after consideration 'They were my best subjects when I was there, so I suppose the easiest ones for me to teach' yes, that sounded about right. 'Although I'd like to give DADA a go.'

'Thank you' said Lily, giving Allie a quick hug. She was adorable.

Khloe let out a tiny sigh,"Maybe I should start working as well."She stated, the money certainly wouldn't hurt. They needed all the money they could get, babies weren't cheap."I could work at the ministry...with you."She said, smiling at him. She hoped he wouldn't protest the idea. She smiled at her husband as she lifted her hand off of her belly and into his curls, his short dark curls. She missed it being long but Dom always complained it was too much work so now it was shortish.

"No."she said, feeling Dominic rub her back. Ah...it felt good. This was one thing that Dominic was good at, BACK RUBS."I want to spend time with husband for a while."She said, looking back at him and smiling. "Of course, babe !Why would I not want you to come ?"

"Charms is a fun subject." Rian mused, taking a few more bites from her cupcake. "I liked Care of Magical Creatures, too. And Herbology." Really, Rian liked everything except Flying - and that was because she was deathly afraid of heights. She remembered that one time in class when she had to stand on her desk; even that had scared her.

"I'm not too great at Defense Against the Dak Arts. The only thing I really got was the Patronus charm." And that was because she'd liked her little Kitty Patronus so much that she'd practiced that spell a lot.

Noticing Sam glancing at his watch, Allie turned to look at a little clock one the wall of the cafe. Oh, it was nearly time to get to work, which was...sort of disappointing. She was actually having a really good time sitting here and getting to know Sam just a little better. "Do you need to get going?" she asked. Sighing, she added, "I need to get to the office soon, too."

She started to grab her handbag and stand up, but then Sam surprised her by asking her to go to a barbeque with him later tonight. Her mouth widened into a smile, and she nodded. "Sure, I'd love to. Thanks, Sam," she replied. "Send a memo to my office with the time and where we'll meet, and...I'll be there. I have to go now. My office awaits...joy," she playfully said. "Anyway, it was good hanging out with you. See ya tonight." With a little smile on her face, she turned and headed out the cafe.
