"Your doing better then me."She said blushing at him. She looked at the ground blushing even more then before. She looked at the ground then back up at him. She bit her bottom lip again.

As she spoke about America he looked at her and smiled. It sounded wonderful and he did like to travel. "I'll have ta go there mahself sometime. Take in the sites and the like. I've been ta France and Italy but that's about it."
He looked up at her after he explained what had happened to his family to see her reaction but what really happened surprised him. As a set of lips met his cheek he nearly jumped out of his seat and turned around to find Mackenzie. "Bloody hell! What are ye tryin' ta do give me a heart attack? And why did ye just kiss my cheek?" Had he missed something recently? Last he checked they were friends and still hadn't been anything more than that. He turned back around not noticing anything about Mackenzie except her hi and looked apologetically at Allie. "Allie this is an old friend o' mine, Mackenzie. Mackenzie this is Allie...my date." Hint hint. Now was not the best time for whatever this was. Looking back at Mackenzie he finally noticed she'd been crying and the annoyed look feel from his face. "Kenzie...is everythin' alright?" He didn't want to be rude to Allie but Mackenzie was a good friend of his. Hopefully it wasn't anything too crucial and they could discuss it later.

Backing away she decides she better take her leave, before the tears fell. "Umm, I'll see you around..."
"You're right about that...I mean, being good all the time getting a little boring," she agreed. Of course, that sort of...well, excluded really bad things, like breaking major laws and the such. Allie sort of eyed Erik again. She still wasn't a hundred percent sure that he was completely a good guy. He seemed to be, but with all this talk of not being good all the time, one could never tell. "So what sorts of fun thing have you done?" she decided to ask.
Allie tried to reply to what Erik had said about traveling to America, but that was sort of difficult with the...woman? his girlfriend? a friend?...causing a bit of a distraction. When Erik introduced Allie and the woman to the one another, Allie glanced up out of the corner of her eye and smiled. She'd say the whole It's nice to meet you line, but then the woman sort of broke down and began talking about a bad day. "Do...do I need to just leave? We can always reschedule, Erik," she said.
Erik laughed at Allie and shook his head, "Nothin' bad. I swear." He gave her a smirk and sipped at his water. "What sort of 'fun' thing have ye done?" He asked flipping the question back at her.
His lips pursed as Mackenzie finally realized he wasn't alone and then stopped as he saw her expression. She was leaving? She obviously wasn't in a fit state to go anywhere. Sighing he looked at Allie apologetically. He wasn't sure what he should do. Would he lose any chance with Allie if he let Kenzie sway him into making him reschedule? But Kenzie was a good friend of his who obviously needed him. "I don't want ye to leave..." he said honestly to Allie and then looked at Kenzie. "Why don't ye join us, Kenzie, for a bit? It if has to do with work maybe Allie here would like a listen." She was the senior undersecretary after all. "Besides don't they say ye can tell a lot about a man by the company he keeps? It could give ye an early access inside view ta the innerworkin's that is me," he said to Allie with his charming smile before looking back at Kenzie, "That is if it's alright with everyone..."
Slipping into the small cafe, Torio gave the clerk a forced smile as he brushed off the rain droplets from his jacket. He was late. He hated being late. But one thing tended to lead to another and there was no exception today. Folding the collar of his jacket down, he cast his eyes about the room as he let his frustrations fall away; there was no place or time for them here. He could laugh about it later.
It took a moment before he spotted Rinatta, and a small smile touched his lips as he moved over to the table she occupied. "Sorry for being late, Rinatta." He still wasn't sure on exactly what he should be addressing her by, and it was obvious in the tone of his voice.
Rin had been lost in thought again ,sipping on coffee and drawing symbols upon the table with the condensation from her coffee cup. She was drawing runes and deciphering her own message, then she heard a familiar voice address her. Looking up she saw Torio and gave him a soft smile, she had heard the questioning in his voice. "You may just call me Rin if you like. Most anyone who likes me does." she said with a soft smile. Rin was not one of those overly formal people, actually she disliked being too formal if she was around people that she liked. If she had been around you outside of work before and still addressed you formally ,unless you are of a higher rank or for the rare person, that was a sign that she didn't care for you. "You can call me primarily any form of my name you like. Just not Ms. Cross if you would, it makes me sound grumpy." she said with a soft laugh. "Come, sit." She gestured towards the menu at the other side of the table. "Order whatever you like, the food here is excellent." She had eaten at every restaurant in muggle london that was in walking distance of her flat and she had a very wide range she considered walking distance.

Shaking her head, she really didn't want to break up the conversation she had already interrupted. Feeling horrible, she murmurs an apology. Erik had the right to see anyone he wanted to, they weren't exclusive or anything...or even... her thoughts drifting off looking more miserable every second.

"No. I think not." Giving Allie another apologetic look, she turns to leave.
Nothing seemed right anymore...she thought about her dinner with Erik, and just maybe he had felt something toward her...the way he acted, smiled at her...
Her mind unfocused, sadly she exits the cafe. She just didn't feel like really sitting in there any longer.
"Your doing better then me."She said blushing at him. She looked at the ground blushing even more then before.
He really had a weakness for blushing women... Heck, it was what got him with his wife. So it really took all his control not to tease and build off of that. He did not need another 2-day engagement or anything. "I am simply better equipped." And that just tossed his mind another few yards. Better elaborate. "I am trained in ettiquite and tact... I can be a smooth talker when I want to be. Most of the time. However, that all has to do with high society, diplomacy, and deeper conversations. Getting to know a person or engaging in small talk is more... difficult. Equate it to two people studying mathematics. One is more adept at basic math but has issue with complexities such as formulas and statistics, but another could understand the complexities however be rubbish with such basics as addition or multiplication. In linguistics, I tend to be the latter."

"Umm I was wondering if later you would like to do something else. I eam we can get to know eachother better?"She asked him as she continue to blush. She hopped that he would say yes. She whould like to get to know him better. And to see him again. She looked at him waiting to see what he would say next to her.
He nodded. "I would not mind such. Did you have something in mind?"
"Maybe dinner or something. I don't really care. You can even come to my place and I can cook for you."She said softly with a smile. as she continue to look at him. She was really started to like him alot.
Rin had been lost in thought again ,sipping on coffee and drawing symbols upon the table with the condensation from her coffee cup. "Rin then." Torio nodded, slipping into the seat across from her. With one hand, he flipped open the menu and with the other he reached up and started to unwind the scarf from around his neck. Halfway done, when his eyes reached the beverage section on the menu before him, he remembered why he had been late and instantly removed his hand from the scarf, letting it remain around his neck. That was something for another day and another time.
"I think, I'll just have their expresso. Sounds really good." He closed the menu with a small smile and looked back up to his boss. She was friendly enough, so he wasn't too sure why they were meeting like this.

Rinatta smiled warmly as the young man referred to her by her nickname. She watched as he opened the menu and reopened hers as well. He began to remove his scarf ,then stopped. It seemed strange to her, he had stopped rather abruptly. Perhaps he had only meant to remove it halfway though. "Their espresso is divine, though that alone isn't much of a lunch." she said with a friendly chuckle. "After all I had intended to take you out for a thank you lunch, as I said. Though it is a little belated admittedly. Please order whatever you like, its my treat." Rin smiled at Torio, trying to show him that it wasn't a serious meeting at all. She eyed the scarf inquisitively ,then smiled." You seem rather attached to that scarf Mr. Ebisu. It looks quite comfortable."she said off-handedly. Really her mind was wandering and re-searching the past few days. She was only partly there, but was glad that Torio had come.

Torio blinked at the menu again, fiddling slightly with the edge. He really wasn't hungry but at the same time he didn't want to insult the woman. His eyes made quick work of the page and picked out a plain garden salad before closing the menu.
His hand stopped halfway again when she mentioned the scarf, staring blankly at the front of the menu for a moment. With a small shake of his head he let the cover fall shut and used his hand to pick at the end of the scarf. "It...is one of my nicer ones." He hesitated before offering the end for her to feel. Normally he would have taken it off, but now...didn't seem like the best time. "And it's quite comfortable."

He definitely seemed to be acting a little strange, though she hadn't the slightest idea as to why. She smiled gently when he held out an end of it for her to feel and saying it was one of his nicer ones. Taking the end he offered to her as he said that it was comfortable, she gently felt it between her fingers. " It is very nice." She admitted softly released it. She then lifted her ice blue orbs to look him in the eye. "Are you alright Torio?" Something in his mannerisms was just...a bit different.

Following Erik's lead, Allie just busied herself with sipping at her own glass of water. It was just something to do to sort of distract her from the situation between Mackenzie and Erik---whatever it was that was going on there. She just shrugged in reply to Erik's question. "Nothing bad. I swear," she replied, giving him the same mysterious answer he'd just given her. There was nothing wrong with a little secrecy, now was there?
"I...um...," Allie mumbled. She wasn't exactly keen on the idea of bringing a work-related issue to the dinner table. It wasn't that she didn't want to listen to whatever Mackenzie had to say, but...Allie just liked to escape work during her off hours. She couldn't exactly be rude, though, so she just glanced up at Mackenzie and nodded. "Oh, sure. What seems to be the problem?" she asked. She sort of gave Erik a look out of the corner of her eye but otherwise turned all her attention on Mackenzie.
...who was leaving the building.
Allie blinked just once then turned to Erik. "Well..., that went well," she said. She sighed softly then busied herself with drinking water once again.

A small smile touched his lips as he watched Rin feel the edge of the scarf. He would have to find out if there were any left in that run-down muggle shop he had found. Though perhaps not everyone in there would fancy a visit from him.
His smile wavered a little at that, and then a little more when she asked him that question. He blinked dumbly for a moment, pulling back in what his excuse was to return to his seat; honestly, if she gave a yank on that scarf, there would be more questions than his state of mind. Giving himself a mental shake, he spared the woman across the table a gentle smile and nodded. "I am wonderful." Lying was not condoned even when.... "How are things with you?"

Erik smirked at Allie as she repeated his own words. Well it seemed that they could get along real well. As he waited for Kenzie to take a seat he saw the look Allie gave him and he winced in apology. He hadn't wanted this. He had wanted a nice quiet dinner just the two of them. Why did Kenzie have to ruin it?
When Kenzie headed outside he sighed and looked at Allie, "Yea..." not so much. He looked down at his glass not sure of what to do. "Allie, I'm really sorry about all of this. Not exactly how I had planned things." Looking up as Mackenzie left he pursed his lips, "How would you feel about rescheduling for lunch tomorrow? My treat," he said with a smirk though he was going to pay for this one too. "I just...she's my oldest friend and she needs to talk. I hope you understand cause I really would like to get to know you better. I'll be by your office at noon tomorrow," he said with a smile and stood up. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out some muggle money and placed it on the table, well more than enough to cover everything even if she ordered dessert. He smiled at her and leaned down giving her cheek a soft kiss before heading out after Mackenzie.

Hmm. Well, this was the shortest date she'd ever had, that was for sure. Nevertheless, she gave Erik and understanding smile and then a nod. "It's okay, ...really. She does look pretty upset, so it's best you go after her anyway. I hope she'll be alright," she said. She took another few sips of her water then stood from the table. "Tomorrow at noon sounds just fine. I'll see you then, Erik." She tilted her head sideways when he kissed her cheek. He seemed like a pretty nice guy---even if he was a little mysterious at times. A few seconds after Erik left, Allie turned and headed out, as well. Maybe she could...watch a movie or something. It was still pretty early, after all.
A small smile touched his lips as he watched Rin feel the edge of the scarf. He would have to find out if there were any left in that run-down muggle shop he had found. Though perhaps not everyone in there would fancy a visit from him.

Rin could tell something was the matter despite what he had said. She was not a woman easily fooled. Though he obviously didn't want to talk about it, at least not to her. Perhaps because she was his boss, though she didn't know. She didn't know what was wrong or why he seemed to avoid it by saying he was fine and changing the subject, but it wasn't really her business as long as his work wasn't affected. However..." You have no need to lie to me Torio." She said calmly as her inquisitive eyes searched his face. "If you are not alright ,well it happens. You don't have to discuss with me why you aren't , but if you need something or some time for your health just let me know. Your well being is important to me, not just because I'm your boss." She thought about his question for a moment before answering. She had been a bit out of it herself and had a lot on her mind, so she really was completely sympathetic with his current state. "I am as well as I have been." In other words she wasn't going to lie about being good, but she wasn't going to divulge her current state either.
"I don't know. Why are you so nice to me and going to have dinner with me?" Blair asked him as she bit her bottom lip.
He raised a brow. "Why wouldn't I? You have done nothing to warrant ill will or wrath, you are soft-spoken thus far and very sweet, you have not shown to be any sort of threat that would make me question being invited into your home, and I quite enjoy cooking and believe the best conversations are had over dinner."
ooc: I actually imagined this little chibi in his head blinking confused.

Because that...wasn't uncomfortable and awkward at all. Perhaps if he was of different character, he may have bristled at her accussation. However, seeing as it was a true accussation, he couldn't really say much.
Instead, he sat back and fiddled with his scarf. He had never been able to pull on a full mask when it came to his life problems, especially when he was sleep deprived, but he was usually more careful than this. He could have shrugged it off, passed it off as a lack of sleep and some careless time management on his part, but he didn't like lying.
