It was too early in the morning for him.

Sam opened the door to the little cafe where he found himself every morning for the past couple days because this place had the BEST coffee! It beat the coffee that they served in the cafeteria at the Ministry -- he was actually never that fond of the cafeteria food and drinks. Why? He had no idea, but he only ate there when he didn't have enough time to venture down to this area to get someone to eat.

After buying himself a cup of coffee and a bagel, he made himself comfortable in one of the booth seats.

He couldn't be more grateful that his brother was no where in sight because it always fault Dan was nearby when he tried to relax. Always. He took another drink of his coffee and he was about to take the first bite of his bagel until he spotted a familiar face sitting in a booth that was not too far away from him.

It was ALLIE CARLTON!

Allie's slightly tired expression changed to one of happiness when she saw Sam's smiling face. "Oh, Sam! Hey!" she said, happy to see him. It seemed like it'd been months since she and Sam had last talked. "Of course you can join me. I've missed you! It'll be good to catch up."

Nina was so tired from work and needed a break. Upon entering a cafe just by the corner she sat down and closed her eyes. What a relief to just clear your mind of things and do nothing.

Lucas rubbed his face before answering because from his annoying tiredness which was made by work. "Thanks," he smiled back, he felt really old. But he wasn't he was young! Really young! Right now he felt a bit rude, introductions. "Sorry about my state, although it seems like you are in the same one!" he chuckled then spoke again. "I'm Lucas Sawyer by the way."

Seraphina, cool name. Unlike his. "Nice to meet you Seraphina, Magical Transport, Portkey office. I'm new too," he hated being new, it was like he couldn't fit in, but the people he had met from his department were alright and all girls. Sigh. But that was meant to be a good thing, right? Well for him it should be.

Sam couldn't help but notice that Allie looked just as tired as he was this morning. Maybe she got up early enough to come and drink some coffee in here just like he did? Then again, he's never actually seen her in this cafe in the morning before. Unless she was trying to start a new tradition, he figured there was another reason why she was in here this early.

Hmm...having Sam here actually made the morning seem much better. Allie had been sort of annoyed with her extremely early start on the morning, but now that she knew it had given her a chance to meet up with an old friend, she was suddenly feeling much better about...well, everything! Suddenly, she didn't hate her alarm clock as much as she did five minutes ago.

"Hmm...not too much at all, I guess. Just...working," she said with a laugh. "Speaking of working, I heard that someone on the department head team was accidentally turned into a guinea pig a few days ago." She gave him a playful look and sort of laughed a little. Her expression then changed to one of concern, and she added, "Sam, are you alright? That must have been crazy for you!"

Sam was going to need some more coffee if he was going to sit here and chat for a little bit because his cup was almost half empty, and he was still so darn tired! He took another drink of his coffee, and then he nodded his head at her reply. "Working can be such a hassle," he said. "Is everything up in the Minister's office okay?" He had been wanting to go see Allie for the past few days, but he had gotten held up with decorating his office... and then the guinea pig thing happen.

Speaking of the guinea pig thing...

HOW did Allie know about that? "Magenta guinea pig, to be exact," he said. Talk about losing his totally cool reputation after that little situation. "I mean... yeah, I'm fine. Never better. It was such a nice way for my brother to... I don't know, congratulate me on my promotion?" Psssh, YEAH RIGHT! "So, ummm, who told you about this?" He was quite curious to know who was spreading the word that the new Department Head for Law Enforcement had been recently turned into a guinea pig.

It was actually the truth. Seraphina Wolfe grew up around guys so was not strange with their actions and behaviors. On the other hand, with girls. Not so much, with their make-ups and 'OMG' reactions , that was not who Seraphina was.

Huh? Was she suggesting that he should leave? He just got here and he was tired therefore he need something to help him stay awake. "Well, to be honest I've only seen two males around here," he replied. Where did all the males go during the time he was in America? They were being replaced by woman!
