Chad laughed as he swirled the ever dwindling contents of his mug. "It is okay...it was kind of like that too when I was there. I always made up for it by bothering the Minister, it was rather fun," he smiled, throwing a light shrug too.

"Oh, I was told that someone...or something, is taking too much wand wood from the trees, so it is upsetting the centaurs. Hopefully it is something we can fix this time."

"No. If you explain to him where you were, he'll be fine with it. He did say he wanted to meet all of his employees, so he'd probably love it if you went to talk to him." Violet took a sip of her hot cocoa, which she had forgotten she was holding. Luckily it was still hot.

Ehh... Sarah just shrugged and smiled, swaying to the left and right as she did so. She glanced down at her coffee and frowned for a moment. So low... so near to emptiness... so fast. Oh fooey. Lifting up the cup to her lips, she finished off the rest of her coffee.

"I'm not sure that by bothering the Minister will do me any good as it did you," Sarah said, grinning and shaking her head. No... probably not. Chad was a charming guy so the bothering the Minister part probably didn't effect him, but she, Sarah, would just be an annoyance. And she'd rather not go down that road.

Sarah thought for a while at what Chad said next. Well, Tetrus sure did leave out the wand wood part. Why would someone want to take it out though? She contemplated for a moment and bit her lip, before returning her attention back to the man next to her. "Well that's an unsettling thought. I presume the school knows that this is all going on?"

Kaylee nodded sipping her coffee in agreement. "That would be nice. I'm planning to go to Italy soon either way, I need to visit my grandparents." She said. "Maybe I'll stop by your place."

"That is nice, you will like it! It is in a beautiful stop" she said as she sipped her coffee.

"Well I most certainly will stop by." Kaylee said laughing. "And then, I'm gonna go shopping and spend all my money on shoes."

Katalin laughed, "I spend alot of my money on my wedding dress! It is so beautiful!"

"Can't wait to see it." Kaylee said smiling. She looked down at her mug, noticing that she was almost done with her coffee. "One sec, I'll be right back." She told Katalin, standing up and walking over to the coffee machine and refilling her mug.

She walked back to the table and sat down, sipping her coffee. "Ahh...much better. I live on coffee, it's like my life supporting drink."

"It is coffee and energy drinks with me!" she laughed, "My friend that has disappeared made my dress" she said sadly.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. My aunt, she died a couple years ago, she used to be a dressmaker." Kaylee said sighing. "We miss her, she was my mothers sister. And Nikki's mother."

"I am sorry!" she sipped her coffee, "It is a beautiful dress and I can't wait to wear it on my big day".

"It's fine, don't worry about it." Kaylee said. "I'm sure you'll look great in your dress."

"I am so excited about my wedding day but I have a few nerves too" she said as she sipped her coffee.

"I'm sure you have nothing to worry about." Kaylee said reassuringly. "Oh, look at the time, I better get back to work." She said catching a glimpse of the clock. "Talk to you later." She said standing up and leaving the room.

Demelza entered the break room, steaming coffee in hand. She took a sip, winced slightly at it's heat and set it down.
She looked around. Being new was something that she had never really liked. It was like that with a lot of things; she didn't like being new, she didn't like change, she didn't like things that smelt or felt new at all.

No, Demelza liked old and comfy. She liked the smell of old library books, the smell of a rained out forest, the sent of unwashed fur.

She cast around again, this time in serch for someone she might know, or recognise from hogwarts. She sighed. No one.

Demelza picked up her copy of the Daily Prophet in one hand and read the front page. Her other hand grasped absentmindedly for her lone coffee cup. She sipped again, forgetting it was too hot, and spluttered.

Her next question made him stop and think. "Err...truly, Mademoiselle...I do not know," he answered, blinking a few times. He had to hand it to her, that was for certain a piece of information he should know about. "Perhaps, it would be good...to inform the Headmaster? I shall talk to Rea-...the Minister!...about it later...though, I have a feeling she may have the thoughts as you."

Pandora stopped twisting her hands and ran them through her hair, attempting to calm it. "I suppose I really ought to get this over with,I do feel awful about being late. I'll leave you to enjoy your drink in peace. Thanks, for everything." She gave Violet what she hoped was a geuine, warm smile.

She stood up, walking towards the new department head, who was talking to a pretty woman with blond hair who she didn't recognise. She cleared her throat and said "I'm sorry to interrupt Mr Stryker. I'm Pandora Fortunea, I work in the Goblin office, or what used to be the Goblin office." She took a deep breath, aware that she was about to start babbling, which would have made her look ridiculous. She stuck out her hand for him to shake. "I just wanted to introduce myself and appologise for missing the meeting this morning. I was, ummm, injured on the mission in the Forest," She blushed slightly, realising that she had missed a hug rip in her robes from her fall that morning, which was now exposing her pale legs. "and I had an accident this morning. I was dashing to get to meeting and I fell into the grille on the lifts. Violet was good enough to patch me up." She gestured towards the division head behind her. "I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am and that I'm usually much more sure footed and punctual." She smiled at her own pun and hoped desperately that he wouldn't be too annoyed with her.

She watched another woman introduce herself to the new head of department, maybe she should do the same.

Just as he drained the last of the coffee out of his mug, Chad turned at the sound of someone saying his name. "Oh, bonjour," he greeted with a smile, extending his hand as well to shake hers. Hmm...he hadn't seen her before, was she new? Oh, no, she wasn't!

"Dear dear," he chuckled, shaking his head a little, "That is rather unfortunate. It would seem that Lady Luck is not on your side...please, do not concern yourself with missing the meeting. Stuff happens, you just need to get up and brush it off. I am glad you came to meet me though," he smiled and shrugged gently, "it makes it easier to learn names." Well, at least he had people who worried about their job! "It is a pleasure to meet you, Mademoiselle Fortunea."

As he shook her hand she realised that he was French. Goodness that's a cute accent, she thought, distracted from what he was saying by the sound of his voice. She shook herself slightly and focused. She laughed at his joke about Lady Luck. "Yes, it's not exactly been my week, I'm begining to wonder if I've had a bite from a mackled malaclaw that I don't remember. I certainly won't be doing anything else risky this week." She smiled. He was certainly more personable than Tetrus Santana had been. She had liked Santana but he had been difficult to read and had made her feel very nervous when she had first met him. Mr Stryker on the other hand was positively charming. "It's a pleasure to meet you too sir, I'm looking forward to working with... I mean for you."

Chad laughed and shook his head. "Please...I prefer with, instead of for...with makes me sound way too much like a boss." He returned back to smiling, thinking how impressed he was with all his employees. They were all very nice and he had a feeling that that would make his job 10 times better. Hopefully.

"Well, we're just going to have to try and make that better! Bad weeks are no fun," he nodded, chuckling. "I hope to be of assistance in seeing too it that your week gets better."

So he was a work with rather than for kind of boss? Pandora was shrewd enough to let him prove that over time. In her experience people could claim to be one thing and actually be opposite. "I'll bear that in mind sir." She said with a smile. He wanted to help improve her week? Hmm, a day off? A pay rise? She held back her usual dry humour since she did not know him, he might take it the wrong way and think that she was being cheeky. "Thank you sir. Well, I do need some new robes, for some reason my repair charm is just not holding." She indicated the tear in the skirt of her robes. "Although I'm not sure if I should chance all those pins, what do you think? I might be better off treating myself to a drink at the Leaky before I go home."

Katalin took another sip of her coffee and walked over, "Hello, I am Katalin Trigwell I am in the centaur liaison office!"

Hmm. Well that was just uncool.

That sounded like a word that a third-grader would use, but no. It's a word that Miss SARAH LEE would use. Of course she didn't say it out loud in front of the big boss dude. Her lips turned up into a smile at him saying Mademoiselle. Was he French or something? Or did he just like using French terms to appear cool? Hmm. Sarah must've missed out on that part of the introductions.

"Psh... I would only think so. I'm sure that the school would like to be at least aware of what goes on within the five mile radius from the castle," she said, with almost a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Hmm. You do that Chad. Get back to me later?"

And then their conversation was politely interrupted by a woman probably older than her around ten years of black hair. Sarah smiled at the woman named Pandora as she listened to them talk and once finding an appropriate time to introduce herself and eye contact was made, she did so. "Hello there. I'm Sarah Lee. I'm the liaison from the Minister's Office," she said, extending her hand to shake.

"Hey, I am Katalin Trigwell I am from the centaur liaison office!" she shook the other woman's hand.
