Level Four Break Room Between shifts, before work, during lunch, and after work, if you ever need a place to cool off, sit down, have a chat, this is the place to do it. The public isn't allowed in here, only the employees of the Ministry, particularly those of Level Four, are permitted to be here. There is a sink and microwave on the counter in the back of the room, with a refridgerator next to it, and several small, round tables with 4 chairs each positioned in the room. There is also a coffee maker and some cupboards, with mugs of various colors and sizes stored inside. In the fartheset corner, there is a large, overly-long couch, one that would never be seen in the muggle world, designed for all the hard workers to have somewhere comfortable to sit while they relax during their breaks. |
Katherine leaves her desk in Werewolf Support Services and heads to the breakroom. She hadn't had a lot to do currently, and needed a quick pick-me-up. Walking over to the cupboard, she opens it and takes out a slightly oversize black mug. Filling it with coffe from the coffee maker, she adds some creamer and goes over to the couch. Sitting down, she stretches her legs out in front of her as she relaxes. She takes a sip of her coffee and sighs. http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k1...bic/images.jpg Hmm. |
Jack entered the breakroom, he was so concentrated on the goblins papers he didn't even notice someone in the room. "Oh, sorry, didn't see you there", he said a little embarrased, "You must be Miss Price, I'm Jack Lockhart, the new Division Head, well, for the Being Division" he continued, it was his first day and he was still getting used to all this, "I guess we're not having so much work today, huh?" and then went straight to the cupboard. As he grabbed a small yellow cup he struggled with a chocolate frog his daughter left for him, he used to spend a lot of time with his kids before, now that his daughter was in Hogwarts and he was no longer at home he missed them. "My daughter loves them" he said, pouring some coffe into his cup. |

She watches as he struggles with a chocolate frog before pouring himself a cup of coffee. Taking another sip from her mug before sayign anything more, she finally says, "I always liked chocolate frogs. But then, I like chocolate in general." |

He settle his cup in the table, and began eating the chocolate frog, "Maybe it's good we don't get to much work or at least to many complaints" he continued "But fortunately we'll get some soon, I like to keep my mind busy" he took a sip of his coffee "Too much sugar, or maybe it's the chocolate with the coffee" he said, giving a sour look to the chocolate frog. |
Katherine laughed. "Thank you," she responded to the congratulations. "Are we going to get work soon?" She tilted her head to one side as Jack made the comment about too much sugar. "There's such a thing as too much?," she asked before shrugging. "But then you didn't put a lot in your coffee. It could be the chocolate frog." |
Padme entered into the break room to see what it looked like. She had been exploring around and decided to come into the room. Upon entering, she saw two other people in the room and decided to introduce herself. "Hello there. I'm Padme Akret. I'm in the Beast Division: Pest Advisory Board." She said holding her hand out. |
Katherine noticed when the girl entered the breakroom. As she introduced herself, she smiled. "Hi. I'm Katherine. Being Division: Werewolf Support Services." She indicated Jack with her head, and, since he hadn't said anything, said, "And this is Jack Lockhart, head of the Being Division." Standing up and placing her coffe mug on the table, she goes over and shakes Padme's hand. |
Vladimir Venin walked gracefully across the Break Room on Level Four of the Ministry of Magic. He had in his hands a few folders with papers to file and record, but no one had shown up for his division, so he decided to get out of his small office and do some work in the break room. He sat himself down at a table with chairs and set his papers down and took out his black ink pen and opened one of the cream paper thin folders and looked at the reports of a siting just out of Sussex. |
Emily walked into the breakroom and smiled. It was good to be back. Work meant distractions from her problems at home. She was determined not to overthink too much of those problems, yet the one still lingered on her. She shook her head, her blue eyes sparkling as she saw various peple in the room already. "Wow, good to know people still use this room." Emily stated, a soft chuckle in her voice as she went straight for the coffee pot and poured a cup of black coffee, sipping it as she turned and sat down at a table. |
Jocelyn felt a bit nervous, as it was her first day of her new job, though she entered the Ministry and headed straight for the fourth floor. She held her head high as she entered into the break room looking around at all the people in the room. She wasn't exactly sure who she was suppose to report to so thought that would be the best thing to ask first. She glanced around the room for another moment before she cleared her throat and asked to the general audience around her, " Hi. My name is Jocelyn- umm- and I am not sure, but who is over the Beast Department?" |
Katherine raised an eyebrow as a man entered without acknowledging those who were already in the room. It seemed kind of rude to her, but since she didn't know him, she tried to hold back from confronting him. She was distracted by him by the entrance of another woman, who made a joke. Saluting her with her black mug, she said, "Hear, hear!" A third person had entered, who looked kind of confused. "Hi, Jocelyn. I'm Katherine. I'm not sure who oversees the Beast division. The only Division head that I'm aware of being in here is Mr. Lockhart over there," she indicates where Jack is sitting. "He's the head of the Being Division." |
Emily grinned and tippd her blue and pink mug back at the younger woman before her. She must have been new, she certainly wasn't there when Emily first arrived. Thinking she'd get to know her better at a better time she turned her attention to the man who had entered before her. He seemed, weird in an almost serene way. The air sizzled around him like the sun blazing the asphalt. He didn't say anything to any of them in the room, just walked right in and sa down. Interesting she thought sipping her coffee and continuing to look at him. Just when she was about to start reading the Daily Prophet a voice startled her and she looked up. "Oh, hello there, I believe the Beast division head is a Mr. Simon Sandford" She replied, smiling warmly, "But I haven't seen him yet I'm afriad."She added, looking at the woma who called herself Jocelyn. |
Vlad was aware of the females in the room, and two in particular who were studying him while he scribbled down things on his files. He heard in one girls head that he was rude. He smirked at that, and closed the file, got up, and walked over to the coffee maker and poured him a mug, adding some French vanilla cream in it. He took a sip and a smile formed on his lips, the coffee was better than the other days batch. |
Katherine sat back down in her spot on the couch, and took another sip of her coffee. She didn't exactly know what to do when people ignored her, so the man on the other side of the room still bothered her. But she tried to ignore it. Besides, you're married, her conscience tried to remind her. |

Jack was overthinking his coffee as he didn't notice the people in the room, "Oh, yes, as Ms. Bishop said I'm the Head of the Being Division, I'm guessing Simon hasn't arrived yet" he smiled and took another sip of his coffee, it still tasted weird but he was getting used to it. He turned to where Vladimir was, "Hey Vladimir, how's work?" he asked, staring at the few folders he hold before, "Are the faeries giving you a hard time?" he continued, he'd heard about it on his way to the Department. |

Vlad took another sip of his coffee and remembered he wasn't in France. No speaking French to the British. He nodded to himself and smiled, broadly. "Work has been very good. A bit slow at the moment. I don't even think anyone is assigned in my division." He couldn't help it but when he spoke his french accent was really heavy. He shrugged his shoulders and drank the rest of his coffee. "Ah, the Faeries. They are doing very well. Being friends with the King of the Unseelie Court always helps. I have some good family connections." |

She was distracted slightly from her conversation as Jack talked to the mystery man. And was surprised when he responded. Thick accent. Sounds French, she thought. |

After sitting on a chair by the table, he turned to where Katherine and Emily were talking. "Oh, I'm sorry, Katherine, Vladimir Venin, Vladimir, Katherine Bishop" he introduced them, not sure wether or not Vladimir wanted people to know. |

Jack looked over to Emily and felt the liberty to answer the question, "Not so much work for now" and went to clean up his cup. While eyeing Vladimir and his folders he remembered the ones he'd left in his office, "Well, I should get going, we don't have that much work, but it's better to get the few done" and he started to hed out the room. "See you around" he said to the ones left in the breakroom. |
