Katalin walked into the break, she needed some coffee for her wedding nerves. She saw Pandora, she poured herself a cup and walked over to her "Hey Pandora!"

Davina walked into the break room for the second time ever. She wasn't big on coffee but if there was one she liked it was French Vanilla. Yep, that was always good. She poured herself a mug and sat on the long comfy couch. There was just too many things happening, too many unhappy employees, too many traitors. She frowned. She was upset with herself and with everyone. Why did she support her boss when she disagreed with the legislature? She had no answer. Was it right for her to put her job over her own personal convictions? This was definitely going to haunt her. She sighed and stood up. Maybe pacing would help? She walked back and fourth from the window to the couch. Life was so unfair. She looked at her co-workers mulling about and chatting. Looks like she would never be friends with some of them.

Katalin saw a girl pacing up and down, she walked up to her and said "Hello, I am Katalin Trigwell!"

Davina stopped pacing when someone walked up to her. She smiled at her and extended a hand. Here was one person who didn't hate her.
"Davina Carter,pleasure to meet you." she replied. Maybe there was hope after all.

She shook the woman's hand, "I work in the centaur liaison office!" she smiled at the new woman.

Davina returned her smile.
"Well I work in the beast division for now I think. I'm suppose to go on loan soon, but yeah, I can hardly get in contact with anyone these few days it seems. I wanted to talk to Mr.Stryker earlier, but that didn't turn out too well." She frowned slightly remembering the confrontation with the three ladies.

"Oh I am sorry about Pandora, I am getting married in a week and 4 days!" she smiled at the woman, she liked making new friends.

It was a pity for the werewolves that they wouldn't be allowed to attend the World Cup. It almost seemed too coincidental that the date had been scheduled so close to the full moon. You would think that they would try their best to arrange a date that was on a night no where close to the night of a full moon. Guess not. Sarah was slightly disappointed in the person that coordinated the dates. But there was simply nothing that could be done. It would be difficult, inconsiderate, and inconvenient to try and change the date. It was a date that worked all... with an exception of the werewolves.

It was a good thing house elves were allowed though. Otherwise, Sarah would surely petition and protest. House elves were a rather delicate spot for Sarah.

She snapped out of her little daydream when she was suddenly spoken to. The woman looked down at where she stood and noticed that she had been standing there the entire time. Her face flushed a bright red as she looked over in the direction the voice had come from. Sarah smiled at the familiar face. "Hello Pandora. I've been doing quite splendid, how about you? Coffee would be nice, thank you," she said politely as she finally took a seat at the table.

Davina's face brightened.
"Oh, thats wonderful! Congratulations!" She beamed at the woman. Some people were just so lucky. She had dated Matt for all her seven years at Hogwarts, but when she moved to work at the ministry in Kingston, things fell apart. She snapped out of her reverie.
"I wish you all the best in your marriage." she said sincerely.

Rinatta led Hannah to the break room with her. What better way to meet co-workers than over coffee right? Anyway see needed some. This place is disastrous she thought to herself, poor werewolfs and poor Mr. Stryker.

She made her way to the coffee machine and noticed Davina. She looked stressed and maybe lonesome, Rinatta knew the feeling. After filling her cup she smiled at Davina and taking a seat close to her said,"Hey there stranger how are you holding up? That was a pretty ugly discussion if you could call it that."

Davina looked around and smiled at Rinatta. It was good to see a friendly face.
"Hey Rinatta. Yeah I know. They were just about ready to attack him in there. I just couldn't let them. Then I was in the line of fire. I don't know, they just need to understand that, life isn't always fair and not everyone will win." She sighed. Stupid world cup.

" I wanted to talk to Mr.Stryker about the mission to Hogwarts but because of the row at his office door I didn't get to." She frowned.
"I'm sorry, here I am unloading on you. How are you doing?"

Pandora made no sign that she had heard the conversation between her colleagues. She was furious that Katalin had apologised on her behalf. How DARE she do that? Pandora thought to herself. No-one had the right apologise on her behalf. As she saw it, she had nothing to apologise for.

Pandora poured a cup of coffee for Sarah and filled a jug with cream. She reached into her secret stash and took out some Ginger Newt biscuits. She added a generous spoon full of honey to her own coffee and placed a small small sugar bowl on the tray with the other things and carried it over to the table where Sarah was sitting.

"Have you been busy recently? With the World Cup and everything? I imagine they've got you running all kinds of jobs at once. Are you maintaining a social life or is all work, work, work?" She asked lightly. The fury that she had felt towards her co-workers was bating. She could hear them talking about the scene with Dora and Calla, but ignored them.

"Oh its no trouble, actually I feel very much the same as yourself. We definetly couldn't just let them go postal. I think you did the right thing.", she said with a chuckle.

" Such a depressing matter though, he doesn't have much of a choice. I think its very inconsiderate of whoever picked the date and location of the cup. All those poor people who won't be able to attend it makes me very sad.", she said with a sigh.

"I think after things calm down we should try again. You would think that there would've been a petition to the world cup administrators about the date", Rinatta said with a sigh.

"You aren't originally from this ministry either are you Miss Davina?", she said softly while sipping her coffee.

"You can come to the wedding if you like!" she said as the woman's friend walked up to her, Katalin decided to go and get another cup of coffee.

Sarah smiled up at Pandora as she shuffled through her bag and found some of her papers. She looked back up and smiled adding in a, "Thank you" as she accepted the coffee. MHM. So gooood... Sarah lifted the coffee mug up to her lips as she took a sip. Wonderfulness filled her once more.

Glancing over at Pandora, Sarah smiled and just shrugged. "Mmm... I'd say so. There's a lot that us liaisons have to do, but so far all our jobs have revolved around the raffle for the boxed seats," she said nodding her head. Oh. Her social life. Pfft. She snorted and just shook her head. "I fail at my social life."

Davina smiled at Rinatta and shook her head. Everything Rinatta said she agreed with, but there was not much that they could do now, was there?
"Oh, just call me Davina or Dav, whichever you feel more comfortable with," she said with a smile.
"I am originally from Kingston, but I moved to England when I was eight years old and went to school at Hogwarts. After graduating, I went to work at the ministry in Kingston for two years and now here I am. What about you?"she sipped some of her french vanilla.

Davina grinned widely when she was invited to the young woman's wedding.
"Oh that would be wonderful! Thank you! I'm sure it will be a beautiful event."
She watched as the young woman walked off and smiled. Ah young love.

Pandora smiled again, a smile that didn't quite hit her eyes. "You're welcome, have a Ginger Newt. I bought them, I promise!" She chuckled gently.

Pandora had been so incensed by the anti-werewolf policy that she had paid little attention to the details of the QWC. "I'll bet you're in demand then, those tickets will be more or less priceless, won't they?"

Pandora bit her lip with regret when Sarah said that she failed at her social life. Bar the short trips she had been on with her private tutor, her own twenties had been severely restricted. "Oh dear, well you'll have to try and make an effort to rectify that. You don't want to get to my age and realise that you've missed out." She gave the young woman a knowing smile.

" Ah, I am German born and also went to school there.I lived there until less than a week ago. I have traveled much though, I was head dragon researcher in my country and was up for divison head. My father has worked in this ministry before though, my transfer has not been quite what I have expected but Mr. Stryker has been very nice."she replied while sipping her coffee.
Albeit putting her to babysitting, the girl was sweet, it just wasn't what she deemed important. Temporary or not divison heads did stuff to help their division right?

Extending her hand to Davina she said with a warm smile,"My full name is Rinatta Ravenna Cross. We were not properly introduced so It is a pleasure Miss Davina Carter. As for me call me what you like, my friends and boyfreind usually just call me Rin."

"Kingston is very pretty I have only been once but I liked it there", she said still smiling.

Davina took her hand and shook it, returning her warm smile. The lady seemed sweet, seemed like she had made a new friend. Work didn't seem too bad after all.

Her story was fascinating. Dragons, wow. She had worked with werewolves,mermaids, harpies and centaurs and of course house elves and goblins but not dragons.
"It's a pleasure meeting you Rin.Its nice having a friend around here." She smiled when she complimented where she came from. She hadn't ever been to Germany but was sure work would take her there some day.
"Nothing is what I expected either to be honest, but I agree, Mr.Stryker is a lovely man. Hopefully when the QWC looms closer we'll both be busy. Maybe we'll even get to work together."

"I agree Davina. At first I thought that I should've just taken the transfer for a mermmish translator in France instead. If I was going to transfer ,but things look a little brighter now.", she said with a chuckle.

"I certainly hope that we get busier and it would be a pleasure to work with you. I assume that we will have our chance since we were originally in the same division. I hope that we either get a new division head or something for me to do though. Temporary division head is rather boring without something to do in that division.", she said with a light chuckle. "I just wish my boyfriend would've been able to attend the QWC, it isn't on the exact night of the full moon. He really would be fine its just so unfair. We really should talk to Monsiuer Stryker again and see if there is anything we could do.", she said with a pained look.

There was something about Pandora that Sarah couldn't quite place her finger on. Something... wrong. It may have just been Sarah's over-reactive imagination, but the smile almost seemed... fake. But she just shrugged it away. What was her problem. Sarah chuckled and nodded her head. "Well in that case..." her hand extended out and grabbed for a Ginger Newt. Mm. Funkeh little things.

Sarah just shrugged at Pandora's next question. "They're boxed seat tickets. I'm sure the demand will be high. But we're still working out details," she said, nodding her head as she stared blankly at the empty space before her and took a sip out of her coffee.

Smiling, Sarah just shrugged once more. Sure... she had plenty of time left, but whether or not she had much of a social life didn't quite matter. "I guess. But in my opinion, as long as I have my family I'll be just fine. Plus I'm going to be an aunt soon. I'll be too busy trying to help make my brother into a good daddy," she said, humorously, winking at the older woman.

Pandora bit into a Ginger Newt and savoured the taste. After swallowing she said, "Mmmm, I don't think I've tasted anything better than these." She didn't indulge often, but Ginger Newts were her utter downfall.

Pandora smiled, again it didn't quiet reach her eyes. "I have to admit that I don't have the passion for Qudditch that most people do. My father and Prometheus, my twin," he voice caught on Prometheus' name as it always, always did, but she ploughed on with her sentence anyway, "They both loved it so much, but now that it's just me, well, I can't summon the passion. So the types of seats don't really mean much to me."

When Sarah mentioned that there would be a new baby, Pandora broke into a wide, genuine smile. "Oh that's lovely! When is the baby due? Are you a first time Aunty or an old hand at it?" Pandora loved babies, it was her worst kept secret. She was still, at twenty-nine, young enough to start her own family but she couldn't see that happening. She had never been lucky in that respect.

Sarah had never had any Ginger Newt before, so she was rather hesitant and curious as she stared at the foreign-looking object in her hand. She brought it to her mouth and bit into it hard. Mhmm... not bad. It tasted sweet to her taste buds. "Nice. I've never had this before," she said, nodding her head.

Okay. Something didn't seem right. Even though Sarah didn't know Pandora very well, but she could tell that there was something wrong with the woman. She just smiled and nodded her head. "I like Quidditch but I can't say that I'm as obsessed with the sport as my brother is. He LOVES sports," Sarah said, chuckling as she shook her head. She paused for a moment to study Pandora, but before Sarah could ask whether or not the woman was okay, she spoke up once more.

Okay. So Sarah LOVED to talk about her brother and sister-in-law's baby and about being an aunt. So it was natural for her to feel hyper... talk forever... and have her eyes sparkle as if it was a shimmering star. "The baby's due in a couple of months but I can't wait any longer! You know? Babies are soooo adorable and the thought of me becoming an aunt sends goosebumps and jolts to my skin," she said, laughing rather loudly. "First time."

Pandora looked at Sarah in disbelief. "Really? Goodness! I can't remember when I first tried them, but I've always loved them. I cook with ginger quite often, it's really good for you."

Pandora wasn't really listening to what Sarah said about Quidditch. She was trying to master the urge to run from the table weeping. Stop being ridiculous! Get a grip, crying won't bring any of them back. She thought harshly to herself. There was little trace of this internal telling off on her face. She had long since learned to keep her features impassive, but her eyes, well the story was there if you chose to read it.

Pandora continued to beam at the thought of babies. "Oh, a first time Aunty! That sounds like so much fun. You'll get to do all the fun stuff and hand them back for all the dramas." She winked. "Have they got any name options yet?" Names were a passion of Pandora's, after being stuck with such an annoying one herself.

" Being a Mermish translator sounds very interesting. I think it would be a job that I would consider doing, except I'm not that fond of extremely large bodies of water."
Davina listened as she considered speaking. Did she mean that her boy friend was a werewolf?
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but, is he a you know werewolf too?"
She knew that it could be a sensitive topic, but hoped that Rin would feel comfortable enough to talk to her about it.
