Pandora listened to the exchange between Katalin and Chad. Hang on? I'm invited? She almost slipped with the coffee pot but recovered herself. She placed the plate of biscuits, the cups of coffee and sugar bowl onto a tray and carried it over to where her colleagues were sitting.

"There we go," she said, passing a cup to Katalin, "My liege," she said, placing a cup in front of Chad and giving him a wry smile.

"Thank you for the invitation Katalin, where are you having your wedding?"

"It is at a friend of J.J's castle and the reception is going to be at our italian villa" she smiled and took the cup of coffee.

A paper airplane flies into the room and comes to a rest on the table, unfolding and smoothing out to reveal...

Pandora picked up the notice and read it, nostrils flaring with anger as she realised what it was So, it's official then she thought bitterly. I cannot believe that he's included us all in this, as though we agree with him! She looked up at Chad, her teeth clenched, resisting the urge to pour his coffee in his lap. The notice was becoming crumpled in her hands, she smoothed it out and stood up, adding it to the noticeboard. She sat down again, taking a small chocolate biscuit, hoping that it would help her to feel better.

She saw that Pandora was upset about the letter, she took a sip of her coffee and then asked "Are you ok Pandora?"

"Me? I'm fine, fine. I can attend the Quidditch World Cup." Pandora said in as level voice as possible, still sending angry glances at Chad, waiting for him to say something about his notice. It was preposterous. It was clear to Pandora that the whole thing had been scheduled close to the full moon on purpose.

"I will be in Egypt on my honeymoon" she smiled at Pandora, she wondered what was wrong with Pandora.

Chad was oblivious.

Like really, he was more concerned about the fact that his THIRD cup of coffee was empty than the fact that one of his associates was shooting daggers at him from across the table. Actually, he hadn't even noticed. Heck, he hadn't even seen the notice come in!

Completely spaced out, he got up from his seat and busied himself with getting a glass of water.

Katalin looked over and smiled at her boss, she had wedding butterflies but she was marrying the love of her life.

Pandora smiled at Katalin. "That sounds lovely." Chad's indifference had infuriated her and she could no longer hold her temper in check. She stood up and pulled the notice off the wall and then walked across to the sink where Chad was filling up his glass of water. She slammed the notice onto the worktop and hissed "Did you have to make it sound like we all approve of this policy of discrimination? I can just about stomach the rubbish reasoning if you must but I'd rather not have my name on it." At that moment she didn't care that he was her boss, she wanted to hex him into the middle of next month.

Katalin watched her walk over to Chad and started to shout at him, something to do with that letter has angered her. She walked over and said "Panda, you need to calm down!"

Pandora span around to face at Katalin, eyes blazing. "What did you just call me? A panda is a bear that lives in China. My name is Pandora. Are you telling me you think this is a coincidence? That the werewolf community are being excluded yet again by this ministry by accident? This has your name on it too Katalin."

"I thought it was a good nickname!" Katalin had tears running down her cheeks, "But I am NOT a werewolf" she said as she run back to her seat in tears.

Chad had been in the middle of drinking the glass of water when there was a notice being slammed down onto the table and the sudden sound of his employee hissing at him. Calmly, he continued to drink his glass of water, watching Pandora go off.

When she done, he finally looked away to put the glass down and then looked back at her. There was no smile on his face, but it didn't exactly show anger. His eyes, however, told the story: they had gone cold.

"Mademoiselle," he started calmly, picking the paper up and sending it back to the notice board with a flick of his wand. "While you may not agree with everything that will happen in this department now and in the future," he continued in a quiet tone, "But while you work WITH me, I expect you to stand by the decision this department makes. We are a team. You do not like it? Tough," he sighed, shrugging his shoulders and standing up straighter. "I suggest you learn to adapt...or transfer," he stated finally raising his eyebrows and shrugging again. "I leave it up to you, Mademoiselle.

"Mademoiselle Trigwell," he started a little, taking his gaze off Pandora and looking towards Kaitlin, frowning gently. "Mademoiselle," he approached, kneeling down. "Do not cry..here," he pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and handed it to her.

"Th..thank y..you!" she sobbed as she took the handkerchief, "I don't want my fiance to know that I have been crying".

Oh good grief! Pandora thought. "Katalin, I've managed to get to the age of twenty nine without a nickname, I think I can survive without one now. When did I say you were a werewolf? And why have you taken that as an insult? What I'm pointing out is that My Liege here has clearly taken an executive decision and made it sound like we all support him." She flicked her wand and a box of tissues appeared on the table. "I'm sorry I made you cry." she said in as kind a voice as possible.


Pandora's eyes narrowed even further as she listened to Chad's rebuke. "So I still work with you? Because this feels far more like I'm working for you. At least with Tetrus we knew where the goal hoops were, but with you they seem to be moving constantly." It was clear from what he said that he wanted her to transfer. "So this is your team and your rules, my liege." She gave him a mocking bow "Fine. I'll remember that the next time you need to contact the werewolf community. I'll toe the party line. We'll see how far we get with them that way." Pandora wasn't going anywhere unless he forced her. "Transfer? Why would I want to do that?"

She took a tissue, "I am sorry that I call you Panda, Pandora!" she blew her nose loudly, "I know you are not a werewolf!"

Pandora looked at Katalin. "Well, just remember that some people don't like others to rename them." she blinked when Katalin said that she knew that Pandora wasn't a werewolf. She crossed her arms. "Would it matter to you if I was a werewolf? Would you change your mind about my wedding invitation? Refuse to work with me? Spit at me in the street? Ban me from the Quidditch World Cup?"

"And yet, Tetrus is no longer here," he spoke up, the anger starting to slide into his voice the tone of her mockery and her need to point out how obviously SUPERIOR Tetrus was to him. He stood back up and eyed her. "I may be a light-hearted and joking man, Mademoiselle Fortunae, but I do not take kindly to mockery. Not to mention, if the statement really was that big of an issue, do you truly think that the MINISTER herself would have allowed me to publish it? You THINK I wanted to tell a nation of people that they cannot attend an event because of their kind? For one second, you TRULY believe that I am that ignorant?

"I am insulted," he stated quietly, clearly angered now. "You may stay, I do not care, but you will keep your personal beliefs out of my department. You believe that the statement is bad, then fine! Transfer out of the department or grow up," he stated just as quietly. "Clearly, working here will be an inconvenience to you and I will not work with employees who allow their personal beliefs to get in the way so deeply that it affects their performance."

With that, he turned on his heel and exited the break room and entered into his office, shutting and locking the door behind him.

"You would still be my friend" she tried to smile as she watched Chad storm off to his office. She felt sorry for him, he was just trying to be a good boss.

Pandora revelled in the fact that she had provoked a proper reaction from Chad.
"Tetrus wasn't perfect, but at least he didn't pretend to work on a mutual basis when in fact as he wanted things done his way. And yes, I'm beginning to wonder just what the motivation behind scheduling the Cup do close to the full moon was. Is this all because of what happened at Hogwarts? Punishing a whole section of our society because of the mistakes made by one person will only serve to embitter and alienate them even more. There's no wonder they don't trust this department. It was my understanding that my background and connections to the werewolf community were part of the reason why I was employed in this department. I have a passion for this work. If you think that being passionate about my job is immature then perhaps I am working for the wrong person. I'm not going to transfer unless you force it though, Sir."

She watched him walk away, wondering if she had pushed him too far.

Pandora gave Katalin a tight smile. "I'm glad you feel that way. I'd better get back to my desk." Pandora began to walk away, out of the break room.

Katalin thought maybe she see if Chad was alright before, she goes back to her desk. She walks out of the break room and towards Chad's office.

Kalee walked into the break room, her mug running low on coffee, not a good thing. She instantly walked over to the coffee machine, pouring herself a mug. Taking a nice long sip, Kalee felt her muscles relax. Stupid women. She had no right to boss Kalee around, she wasn't her division head. Watch, if Kalee ever became division head, she'd fire the the women in a snap. No wonder Chad had seemed so upset.

Upon hearing about the Division Head position openings, Sarah had immediately whisked herself off from Level One to Level Four. She wanted to see for herself and meet the possible candidates, considering they'd be her future co-worker. Even though in truth, Sarah wished to be in that position. But she still had a lot to learn, especially for a woman of 20 years. Plus she was needed on Level One, especially with the Quidditch World Cup and all. Her time would come soon.

Smiling at those that she passed by, Sarah entered the Level Four Break Room, hoping to get a glimpse or an opportunity to better acquaint herself with the employees. And maybe an inquiry here and there about how the employees felt about the conclusion Chad had come to. It was... reasonable...

Pandora entered the break room, in need of coffee and something sweet. She knew that her recent outburst had made her unpopular with some of her co-workers but she wasn't concerned by that. Pandora had never felt the need to be popular. What did concern her was that she had let her self-control slip so far. She had lost all her usual reserve when she saw Chad Stryker's pronouncement. The fact that he had made it appear that she and the rest of the department agreed with his prejudice had pushed her past boiling point. It had been so long since she had lost her temper in that way she was surprised that she still had the ability. She had felt so numb for so long, it was almost good to know that she could still feel passionate about something.

She looked up and saw Sarah Lee, who she had met before, very briefly. She smiled genially. "Hello Sarah, how are you? Would you like something to drink?" She walked over to the coffee machine and poured herself a cup.
