Dora stepped into the breakroom and looked around. She had never been in any other than the one on the third level. Hmm... it was nice.

Spotting an armchair she plopped down and sighed. Placing a hand absent midedly over her belly she used the other to conjure up a copy of the Quibbler and a bottle of water.

She began to thumb through the magazine, not really paying it any attention. Hopefully Pandora or her (EEP) husband would pop in. *sigh*

Pandora slipped quietly into the break room, in search of a cup of coffee. The sleeping potion had worked its' magic and she felt much better. The dark circles under her eyes had all but disappeared. She was only looking for coffee in order to avoid going back into the office. She knew that she owed Sarah an explanation. That didn't bother her nearly so much as the prospect of seeing Jared or Rinatta again, espcially Jared. He had seen her at such a weak moment, she wasn't sure if she would be able to speak to him. Also, there was the fact that he had repaired the damage to the study too, she felt deeply uncomfortable with that.

After making herself a drink, she turned and saw some very familiar blonde and pink hair. She smiled gently and called across to Dora "Hello Miss Lovegood, are you sure you're on the right floor?"

Turning at the sound of her friend's voice she smiled and said, "It's actually Mrs. Druery. And yes I am. I am now an employee of the Pest Advisory. Just starting today." She set the Quibbler aside and raised her left hand up and wiggled her fingers a bit showing off the new addition to her ring finger.

"I actaully have some more g-g-great news if you have a moment to talk." Dora spluttered. Her hair turned a bright shade of blue against her will. She shook her head and left it be.

Pandora was taking a sip of her coffee just as Dora delivered her news. She gulped it down to prevent herself from choking on it. "Does this mean I'm off the pink hook?" she asked sardonically. She then broke into a wide smile. "Congratulations!"

She crossed the room and sat with Dora. Arching on eyebrow, she asked "It wouldn't have anything to do with the reason why you passed out at the Quidditch World Cup, would it? I had a theory about that at the time, although I could be wrong." She waited for Dora to confirm what she had thought that day when she and Silas' had carried Dora back to the tent.

Dora willed herself to smile at Pandora. She had figured it out before she and Silas had. "Yeah, it does actually. We are expecting a child. I am about 6 weeks along now." she said with a hint of sadness in her voice. She was still so stressed out that it made her sick... literally.

"Yeah we found out while we were away. You can imagine our shock." Dora said quietly and her hair turned a teal shade as she mulled things over and over in her mind.

Pandora listened to her friend. She didn't exactly sound pleased by this development. Considering her words carefully, she said "Well, I have to say that I'm not surprised, not with how your were feeling. That day in the cafeteria for instance..." She trailed off and let the sentence hang in the air between them. There was no need to make Dora feel guilty about that.

'Not pleased' seemed inadequate for how Dora was now feeling Pandora realised. She seemed stressed, perhaps scared? This was understandable, they were just married and it didn't seem to be planned. She watched Dora's hair turn to a pleasing shade of teal. "So, am I congratulating or commiserating?" she asked. Her tone mild was mild but her steely eyes were showed how seriously she was taking the conversation.

Dora bit her bottom lip and said ,"Congratulating I suppose. I don't really know what I am feeling about this. It is obviously unexpected. Anyway. Did I miss anything whiole I was gone. Anything new with you?" DOra was an expert at subject change...

Pandora listen to her friend try and swerve the topic of conversation away from her pregnancy. "It's been fairly quiet around here, I've been sleeping properly again after the whole passing out in the attrium episode. Jared repaired my study, without asking me if I wanted it to be fixed." There was a bitterness to her voice when she spoke about Jared. She was grateful that he had got her home safely, but he had gone too far with that action.

"Anyway, never mind that," She waved the subject away with a dismissive gesture. "Your news is bigger than mine." She took Dora's hand in an attempt to make he feel a bit better, to feel comforted. "You're allowed to be scared." She murmured, "It's a huge thing to have happened and you are bound to have mixed feelings about it. How is Silas? Is he pleased that he is going to be a daddy?" She watched Dora's face carefully for her reaction.

Katalin worked into the break room with a tiny bump, she decided to have a fruit juice because she was trying to cut down on cafferine.

Dora started to open her mouth and comment on Jared's fixing the room as a NICE thing but thought better of it. She groaned when Pandora turned the topic of conversation back to her.

"Yeah, we are both a bit freaked out, but it's okay. We'll deal with it all. Aside from that news I just got a very interseting, official, letter via owl before I came in here. Guess who is now a Division Head? I have to go meet with my new boss any second now and report to work. How great is that? Silas and I are a power couple now, i guess you;d say." Dora said with a smile.

Katalin sat down on her own, she lifted her head when someone else said that she is pregnant. She didn't know if she should go over and speak to her.

Pandora waved vaguely at Katalin and then turn back to Dora.

She felt that perhaps Dora was going to comment on what Jared had done but thankfully her friend was distracted by the question if being scared.

"You'll be fine. After the stuff that you've faced, a baby will be a good change of pace."

When Dora shared her latest piece of news Pandora actuallly pulled her friend into a fleeting yet tight hug. Letting go very quickly, she blushed ever so slightly. "That's wonderful, well done! I'm just sorry that we won't get more of a chance to work together. We could have shaken thing up a bit here." She gave Dora a conspiritorial smile. "Where are you going to be?"

Katalin smiled and waved at Pandora, she decided to go and talk to her friend. "Hey Pandora, how are you?"

Dora smiled as Pandora released her from the hug. "Yes, that we could have. And you're right everything will work itself out, I am sure of it. I am growing a bit more accustomed to the idea of the pitter patter of little feet at home. It is gonna be quite the challenge though." Dora said as she picked up her bottle of water and took a drink.

"Oh you'll love this... I am going to be an Unspeakable." DOra said with a grin as she set her bottle down.

Dora looked up as another girl approached and smiled sweetly.

Looking back to Pandora she said, "I think I am going to run up to Level Three and have a chat with Calla if you'd like to join me. THan we could go for tea."

"I am sorry to disturb you, I am three months pregnant!" she told Pandora and the other woman.

Dora looked up and said with a smile, "Oh you are not disturbing me at all, I was just on my way out actually." She said as she rose from the armchair.

"Ok then" she returned the smile, she sipped her drink and waited for Pandora's reply. She put a hand on her stomach, she was so happy that she was going to have a baby.

Dora smiled at the girl again looked back to Pandora. "I'll see you upstairs then" she said as she left the room.

Pandora looked up cooly at Katalin. "I'm fine, thank you." She kept her voice neutral and uninviting. She turned back to Dora, to hear her response.


Pandora nodded "Well of course I'm right" She said sardonically, "I'm allways right, I don't know why you doubt the fact." She gave Dora a wry smile.

"An Unspeakable? You can stay quiet long enough to be an Unspeakable?" She laughed. "That sounds really exciting."




"Oh! It would be good to see Calla again, it feels like ages since I bumped into her in Diagon Alley. I saw her in the pet shop the day that I bought Tajma and he's huge now!" Pandora began to stand and she realised that Katalin was still talking to her.


Oh, good Godric! Pandora thought to herself. Am I to be pertpetually surrounded by other people's good news? She smiled tightly at Katalin, her steely eyes glittering like two chips of ice. "Congratulations." She stood up and rinsed her cup in the sink and walked to the door, following Dora out.

New Scene

Pandora pushed open the door of the breakroom and made herself a cup of strong coffee, adding honey as usual. She slammed the cup and cupboard doors, venting some of her annoyance while the room was still empty.

Katalin heard some banging in the break room, she decided to go and see what was wrong. She walked in and found it was Pandora, "Hey Pandora, what is wrong?"

Pandora span around, long hair flying out. She saw Katalin and rather than give the rather biting answer that had initially sprung to her lips, she took a breath and censured herself. "I'm fine, thank you Katalin." She turned back to her coffee and walked away from Katalin, hoping that the young woman would be sensible enough to leave her alone.

Katalin decided to get a cup of coffee and go back to the her desk, she decided to leave Pandora to calm down.

Pandora listened for any sign of Katalin joining her, but it seemed that the young woman had left the room. She took out her wand and twirled it, almost unaware of the sparks that she shooting towards the ceiling.

As Rinatta walked into the breakroom for some coffee, she turned to see a rather aggravated looking Pandora. Pandora was throwing sparks from her wand towards the ceiling. What did Jared do to the poor girl? He is usually so sweet. She knew that Pandora seemed to always have a decent reason to react the way that she did. Granted Pandora reacted a bit more outwardly some, she had a reason. She wasn't just mad, like Davina seemed to think, she was just a bit cold and harsh. Rinatta was positive that she had a reason for that though, after all, you don't aquire eyes of icy flint for no reason. Not that Rinatta had ever known of anyway. She herself had thought of taking a colder turn, but gave in to the optimist within her. She was depressed, but wouldn't let herself become ice. She really did wish that she did not have a job with werewolves right now though. It made her think of Uigher and all that had happened between them.

She decided that being too friendly to the young woman would be ill advised. So she decided on a different course of action. "Hello Pandora." she said softly with a light smile"Your sparks are pretty." She then proceeded to pour herself a cup of coffee. She pulled some honey out of her work sack and stirred it in. Ah, liquid gold..

She was pulled off her robes, which irritated her to no end, and was wearing a siple black camisole and dark jeans. She was depressed lately and didn't care who saw the large set of scars she was marked with. She was normally sensitve , but could really care less about much lately.
