The rickety wooden covered bridge has been standing for many, many years at Hogwarts, and remains the main entrance from the courtyard to the rest of the grounds. The bridge has faced plenty of damage and repair over the years so give it some respect and report anything wibbly-wobbly to the Groundskeeper.

"True. Some things don't need to be rubbed off though. Like my awesome sense of humour. You stole some of that, AJ.'' LOL. He like to constantly tease her about that- her stealing some of his personality. "What did you do? Lift weights over the summer?'' He was still teasing her. She hadn't squeezed his leg hard at all.
Just like AJ had told him to, Adi told her what he needed to. He'd never forget her reaction. The shock on her face was so apparent. He reasoned she had thought he would ask out another girl. Well, that was his fault she thought that as he hadn't given anything away as to whom the girl was.
This time their kiss was different. Adi didn't spring it on her just like that as he had the first time so AJ wasn't shocked out of her wits. Yeah, this was definitely the right moment to kiss her. "What, no punches this time?'' he asked when they had pulled away.
The Hufflepuff's face brightened the moment AJ said that very enthusiastic yes. Oh gosh. This had to be one of the happiest days in his life. Yep, definitely. "You've made me one happy guy,'' Adi said, slipping an arm around his new girlfriend but still best friend. "I figured that was the reason. I'm sorry I made you all sad over it. I wanted to surprise you. Though I can say I did that anyway.'' He began to swing his dangling feet just as AJ had earlier, still smiling broadly.
She sighed. "Adi, Adi, Adi... when will you quit lying to yourself? You got allll that awesome from me." He couldn't prove that he was THAT awesome before the two of them met. "No, but I did play baseball a lot. That definitely counted in the arm department. He was kidding though because AJ had barely squeezed him. Her arms though, that was no joke. They were pretty athletic while still being feminine.
The shock of Adi confessing his feelings was starting to wear off. She was still in awe, but the reality of it was sinking in. Over a year of them going back and forth, and they were now on the same page. It was hard for her to even wrap her head around.
The kiss... it was nice. AJ only hoped that Adi thought so too because she didn't know what she was doing. It felt right, and she went with it. That was about as deep as it went for her. Her first real kiss. Technically her first real kiss was back in Sugarplum's, but it was still from the same boy. If only her lips had only been touched by Adi. Noooo. She wasn't even going to go there and ruin the moment. AJ laughed. "It's not too late. I can still punch you if you'd like," she joked.
AJ leaned into Adi, and rested her head on his shoulder. "You're not the only one. I told you whoever the girl was would be lucky, and that is still true." She really did feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Never in a million years did AJ think that she would be interested in boys... not until she met Adi.
"It's okay. It all worked out in the end because you definitely surprised me." Her mood had just went from gloomy to walking on sunshine.

Then when you met me my coolness rubbed off on you and that made you that much cooler." Cool?

If Adi hadn't of kissed her in Sugarplum's, Ian would have been her first kiss. What a horrible first kiss story that would have been. "What about you? Been kissing lots of girls?" AJ doubted that she was the very first girl.

You'll be the one getting hurt if you punch any harder.'' Hehe. Adi didn't know what was going on in that head of AJ's but if he did, he would have laughed and said, "Typical AJ. Always the one to bury me in questions.'' A mention of Ian. He froze a bit as something came back to him. "On the night of the Feast, when I was explaining that he needed to apologise to you, I was sort of encouraging him to ask you out too.'' Because at that time he'd been sure that AJ just wanted to be his friend. "Now why do you ask that?'' Adi asked. He just knew it. AJ thought he went around kissing girls after the incident at Sugarplums.
"I know. And I remember. I just thought you were confused back then because I'd just helped you out of the Lake and all.'' Yep, the boy had sure it was just a crush back then and would only last for a few days or something. "But it didn't work for you,'' he added with a grin. "Bet you like me more now.'' He deserved that poke. LOL. "I don't know. I didn't mean to. I mean you giving me mixed signals and I guess I got all sulky and wanted a little revenge.''
"I know you can't resist, anyway. It's the hair, isn't it?'' AJ had sole rights over his hair ever since they met and she always would. "I don't intend to ever stop.'' That was true.

A boy was talking at her and while he was doing that her hand had darted for Soph's and she gave it a TUG and quick!whispered in her ear. "Sophhhhh. He's cuuuuuuute." Cue the light giggling.
"You've found them!" She did her best to keep her growingly hot cheeks at bay. "I'm Coral-Bay." Grins for you, handsome. She paused to let Sophie introduce herself. "You find the bridge alright?"
Oh, he was so breathtakingly pretty.

Soph snorted a little at CB's Cinderella reference and put an arm around the girl, giving her a side-hug of encouragement. "Relax, CB. He'll be here. "And m'Sophie Brown." So he KNEW. And since CB was already all off being cutesy and charming with him and making small talk, Sophie... let them be. She leaned back against the railing of the wooden bridge and just smiled at them both, super content.

Paris shuffled out the way of other students who were eager get on the bridge, not sparing them so much as a glance because he had found the girls that had left the note, and they were pretty. Why they wanted to meet him was still a mystery to the young boy.
They were giggling. Merlin, why where they giggling? Paris' cheeks flushed automatically and his eyes averted nervously when they whispered with each other. He distracted himself with ruffling his hair more and messing with his hat until he was being spoken to again, not too confident about this meeting.
"That's a nice name.... do you have a shorter one?" It was pretty - like her - but he wasn't going to be able to remember two separate ones, so maybe she wouldn't mind him using just one. "Hey, Sophie." She had an air of familiarity to her, but he couldn't place her and was too nervous to think much about it.
Shaking his head, he smiled a bit sheepishly. "No, it's huh.... hard to get around here. Still figuring the place out. You guys like hanging out here?" Was that why they picked it?

It was just as she feared thought, celebrating a badge she hadn't wanted. Though if she was being honest, she rather liked the idea of being in charge of the school, she was you know, solely in charge and all. They might have given Jun the Head Boy badge but she still called the shots and took orders from no one. He could be a figure head for all she cared. This.....was like her empire and they were all her minions sent forth to do her bidding. The more she thought of it this way, was the more the idea stuck.
"Stupid ideas? Me? Pfffft. Keep Kevin on a tight leash and I'll keep this badge forever." Had to be said. The Headmistress had said Kevin wasn't her battle to fight and she'd come to accept there was nothing she could do but hex him dead when no one was looking. Collarbin had mentioned being sneaky, yes? But even then, there was always that one gaping Firstie that WOULD see and Azkaban wasn't really her thing.........too confining.
The bag of chocolate frogs shaking before her brought the widest of grins to her face. Just looking at it, she could taste the chocolate and feeeeel the sugar running through her. Sweet Merlin. "Eeep! Consider me totally and completely morally boosted for EVER." She squealed, snatching the bag from his grasp with a savagely greedy look in her eyes.
Of course, she wouldn't forget her manners. Lex lowered the bag and latched on to the Professor, giving him a HUG. A proper hug. You got these when you delivered bags of chocolate frogs and told her she was the best. Natural response and all. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Kevin, right. Cosgrach groaned at the mention of his name. Did anyone even LIKE him? "Hopefully, as he gets older..." he muttered, but HAHA, even he didn't believe that. It mattered not, though! They certainly didn't have to ruin their mood with the stupid boy. He laughed when she snatched the bag and felt lighter. The last few days had been the worst for him, but thanks to Alexa, he felt better.

You'll be the one getting hurt if you punch any harder.'' Hehe. Adi didn't know what was going on in that head of AJ's but if he did, he would have laughed and said, "Typical AJ. Always the one to bury me in questions.'' A mention of Ian. He froze a bit as something came back to him. "On the night of the Feast, when I was explaining that he needed to apologise to you, I was sort of encouraging him to ask you out too.'' Because at that time he'd been sure that AJ just wanted to be his friend. "Now why do you ask that?'' Adi asked. He just knew it. AJ thought he went around kissing girls after the incident at Sugarplums.
"I know. And I remember. I just thought you were confused back then because I'd just helped you out of the Lake and all.'' Yep, the boy had sure it was just a crush back then and would only last for a few days or something. "But it didn't work for you,'' he added with a grin. "Bet you like me more now.'' He deserved that poke. LOL. "I don't know. I didn't mean to. I mean you giving me mixed signals and I guess I got all sulky and wanted a little revenge.''

Her heart was completely in his hands, and she hoped that he felt the same way. At his confession about Ian, she just froze. "Why would you do that?" What sense did that make? "You would try to get somebody to ask me out after they tried to hex me?" WHY? "If you like me then why would you want another guy to ask me out?" She needed an explanation please. "You know, IF he would have went about things the right way I most likely would have given him a chance." Only because she figured that AJ and Adi would never be more than friends. Was Adi trying to avoid her kissing question? "Not trying to avoid giving me a number are you?" Wasn't it obvious? "I just figured you would have kissed other girls before me." Adi was a cool older dude. Some things you just figured happened.
"And because you didn't like me in that way then." Let's just be honest here. "It was a crush at first, but I realized over time that it was much more than that." He was right. "I do like you even more now even after knowing you tried to set me up with a psycho." She wouldn't be forgetting that little part though. "You are so not fair. You started all of the mixed signals." He got another poke for that. Knowingly driving her crazy!
"It's totally the hair." As if on cue, AJ reached up and gave it a good ruffle. "Who could resist it?" The answer to that better be EVERYBODY, because Adi was hers! "I can live with that." The pair would never stop flirting. One fun relationship coming right up.
Maya hadn't really explored too much outside of Hogwarts yet. She'd just been getting used to things. Everything was so big here, and she wanted to get used to stuff. It was not good for a sixth year to be getting lost all the time. Not that she intended to do that for too long. She hummed to herself though, as she finally decided to go outside. It was going to get cold soon, so she wanted to look at the grounds whilst she could. Maya didn't really like the cold, and she new that Scotland was going to get a lot colder than France ever did.
The blonde frowned a little as she watched a girl stand in the middle of the bridge. Well that was rude. Didn't she know that people wanted to get past. "Umm....excuse me."
Vinnie didnt even notice the girl approaching.She just stood there and imagined the party going on. It would be legendary. They had to do it. Jun could cover them, he was the head boy. She made a mental note to ask him later as she heard a voice. A voice she didnt know...or at least she thought so.
Turning around the brunette saw a girl about her age standing in front of her. Only then she realised where she had stopped. In the middle of the bridge. Wow.Talk about day dreaming. "Oh sorry", she smiled apologetic," i was lost in thought. I just think the view is beautiful from here." That too...but party.

"Arista told me all about the game, and I REALLY wanted to try out my first year, but of course they canceled the game." "If you are Batman then I am definitely Batgirl, only I'm not going to wear a dress or a skirt." Just in case that came up. The head shaking did not go unnoticed. "Do you not agree? Lex waved off the thought, not in the least bit convinced. "It's fine I suppose. This'll be the last year I have to suffer through him in classes then I'll be rid of this place and happier for it. Reckon he'll be happier too so we both win." She explained with a casual shrug, not bothered. This was going to be her year and the only way to ensure that happened was the make peace with everything around her and decide to NOT care while hoping the boy ran into a rabid chimaera one night. A girl could dream.
AND WHAT SHE GOT HUGGED BACK NO PULLING AWAY THIS WAS HAPPENING!!! Most Professors might have spazzed up or eased her off. That was an all too familiar habit as she'd discovered but not Professor Collarbin...and you know...maybe she'd use his real name one day before she left, maybe, even if she did like Collarbin better.
"I think I can do that. Gonna take some fancy pants, secretive wand work from time to time but it seems doable." With a grin to boot. She'd been doing this the whole time anyway. Only difference now was that she had a badge to flash at people. Flashing was the extent of usefulness to which the badge reached.
"And how was your summer Professor?" Warm? Hers was. Wasn't everyone's after that horrid winter lock in? She could only assume.

Benny did play quidditch. She remembered Adi telling her that before. "I bet that does suck. Thank goodness for Angel." Her sister was sure to have him nice and distracted. Was that what he was worried about? "I may be young, but I know what I want, and I know I want you." For now, later and always. As if to prove that point, AJ leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "You don't have anything to worry about." That would never change. "Cricket is just more your thing. I get it." Quidditch could potentially be her thing, but at this rate she would never know. She listened to his explanation about Ian. "It's not really dumb. You know, I could have forgiven him had he of apologized and not kissed me in front of the entire school." This new Ian was somebody that she didn't know. "We used to get along really well, but I guess his jealousy changed him." Into an ugly person that would never get AJ's time of day again.
"I never got over you. I just got better at pushing the feelings away so I wouldn't lose you as a friend too." Now it was AJ's turn to laugh. "Nope. It sure isn't, cutie." Oh no, she was starting to sound like Angel. "I do know it." Hence the confidence. That really was a long time to keep feelings in. "We are weird, or maybe just stubborn." That was probably a better word to describe the two of them.
Soph snorted a little at CB's Cinderella reference and put an arm around the girl, giving her a side-hug of encouragement. "Relax, CB. He'll be here. You told him he was meeting two super great yearmates, right? How could he resist that?" He couldn't. So if they were left standing there for hours, Soph assumed it would be solely because the note had fallen off the boy's door or he hadn't even seen it yet, NOT because he didn't want to see them.
CB saw their guest first, as Sophie didn't catch sight of the boy till after CB had reacted. Aw. He looked... familiar. Didn't he? Maybe a little? Huh. And a little lost. Haha. Soph couldn't help but giggle just a little at the boy's expense, and properly snorted at CB's whisperings in her ear. Merlin.
"And m'Sophie Brown." So he KNEW. And since CB was already all off being cutesy and charming with him and making small talk, Sophie... let them be. She leaned back against the railing of the wooden bridge and just smiled at them both, super content.

Paris shuffled out the way of other students who were eager get on the bridge, not sparing them so much as a glance because he had found the girls that had left the note, and they were pretty. Why they wanted to meet him was still a mystery to the young boy.
They were giggling. Merlin, why where they giggling? Paris' cheeks flushed automatically and his eyes averted nervously when they whispered with each other. He distracted himself with ruffling his hair more and messing with his hat until he was being spoken to again, not too confident about this meeting.
"That's a nice name.... do you have a shorter one?" It was pretty - like her - but he wasn't going to be able to remember two separate ones, so maybe she wouldn't mind him using just one. "Hey, Sophie." She had an air of familiarity to her, but he couldn't place her and was too nervous to think much about it.
Shaking his head, he smiled a bit sheepishly. "No, it's huh.... hard to get around here. Still figuring the place out. You guys like hanging out here?" Was that why they picked it?
With all the introductions said and- wait. He didn't introduce himself.
She wasn't about to make this super awkward. Maybe he'd remember? Or maybe Soph would pipe up and ask. Or something. Eh. Was it really that important? Decidedly, she was going to call him PB for now. Pretty boy. But maybe not to his face. Hm.
Still leaning against the banner, and possibly trying to seem a lot cooler than she was, Coral nodded at the boys words. "Well, I go by CB a lot. Or Coral. But you can call me whatever you like. I'll answer to just about anything." As long as it was sorta like her name or a super cute nickname. Preferably not Thing Two. Which was what Casper Duluth had dubbed her. That was not going to fly.
She raised a finger to her chin in thought, "Y'know, I bet I could make you a map. Highlight all the best places that way you won't get too lost." She could color code it and try her hand at making something more boy-like because she highly doubted he'd want it to be all pink and frilly. "Umm..." she glanced at Sophie. "Not together? I kinda like the idea of starting off the term here, which is what I did last term. But it's also got a nice view and I dunno.. it's just a nice place to view the grounds if you're not too familiar with them."

Ben looked back at his companion questioningly. He had thought his words had been pretty clear but that was just him. The one who didn't speak all that much anyway. For all he knew the other boy had heard something completely different then he actually had said aloud. "It means I'm not entirely sure about doing that," he said being honest as he looked again over the scene. The last thing he wanted to do was be responsible in bringing harm to the younger boy, or even worse, his death if something went terribly wrong.
As for flying, it seemed the topic had attracted a bit of attention. "Maybe..." he said with a shrug. "Might have a lesson or two during the term with the school brooms." She had to be back for some reason and he hadn't heard of quidditch being brought back in any way shape or form. Guess they would just have to wait and see what may develop in that area like everything else.
"Nice to meet you." Benny might not be someone that had many friends but that didn't me he loathed new acquaintances. "And welcome to Gryffindor by the way." Housemate status did encourage the older lion to be nice to the person in question.

"You really did get caught up in the moment. That's when I started thinking you had gotten over me.'' After she'd pulled away from him and demanded what as happening, he meant.
More laughter. "It's not my fault I'm so cute,'' he responded, teasing AJ right back. "You are and don't you know it.'' He bobbed his head. Yup. "Yep. That long.'' The Puffer paused. "We're weird, aren't we? Going back and forth for such a long time.''
"Oh yeah, baseball is a must. We could play cricket too." She knew that was his favorite sport. "I bet I would be good at that too." AJ had never played, but she had watched the games on their television at home. "There has to be. I'll ask the professor next time I see him." AJ was originally going to ask the potion master to whip her up a kissing repellent, but she obviously didn't need that. No boys would try to kiss her now that she was with Adi. "We do." AJ was pretty much the female version of Adi.
"You don't have anything to worry about. Besides I'm an angel, remember?" She really was unless you crossed a line with her. Then that was when you would need to run in the opposite direction. Benny did play quidditch. She remembered Adi telling her that before. "I bet that does suck. Thank goodness for Angel." Her sister was sure to have him nice and distracted. Was that what he was worried about? "I may be young, but I know what I want, and I know I want you." For now, later and always. As if to prove that point, AJ leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "You don't have anything to worry about." That would never change. "Cricket is just more your thing. I get it." Quidditch could potentially be her thing, but at this rate she would never know. She listened to his explanation about Ian. "It's not really dumb. You know, I could have forgiven him had he of apologized and not kissed me in front of the entire school." This new Ian was somebody that she didn't know. "We used to get along really well, but I guess his jealousy changed him." Into an ugly person that would never get AJ's time of day again.
"I never got over you. I just got better at pushing the feelings away so I wouldn't lose you as a friend too." Now it was AJ's turn to laugh. "Nope. It sure isn't, cutie." Oh no, she was starting to sound like Angel. "I do know it." Hence the confidence. That really was a long time to keep feelings in. "We are weird, or maybe just stubborn." That was probably a better word to describe the two of them.

His left arm which was still around her, tightened a bit so that she was pulled closer to him as the same moment she leaned in to kiss his cheek. "And I believe that,'' was his reply. He really did mean it. On the subject of Ian, he nodded. "Changed him into something I never expected. It was like looking at something taking over someone you thought you knew. You know, I don't think I'd be willing to be his friend again after all of that.'' He shrugged. "Maybe years from now if we ever met again.'' Adi didn't have it in him to hold a grudge forever.
"You're a smart girl, you know that?'' Yeah, he thought she did the right thing. "Hey, for a moment I thought I was going to be called cutie pie.'' LOL. "With you being the more stubborn of us.'' The Hufflepuff felt like he could sit here and talk all day with AJ but he was getting hungry. Growing boys did need their food. Lots of it. "Let's go get something to eat. Lex waved off the thought, not in the least bit convinced. "It's fine I suppose. This'll be the last year I have to suffer through him in classes then I'll be rid of this place and happier for it. Reckon he'll be happier too so we both win." She explained with a casual shrug, not bothered. This was going to be her year and the only way to ensure that happened was the make peace with everything around her and decide to NOT care while hoping the boy ran into a rabid chimaera one night. A girl could dream.
AND WHAT SHE GOT HUGGED BACK NO PULLING AWAY THIS WAS HAPPENING!!! Most Professors might have spazzed up or eased her off. That was an all too familiar habit as she'd discovered but not Professor Collarbin...and you know...maybe she'd use his real name one day before she left, maybe, even if she did like Collarbin better.
"I think I can do that. Gonna take some fancy pants, secretive wand work from time to time but it seems doable." With a grin to boot. She'd been doing this the whole time anyway. Only difference now was that she had a badge to flash at people. Flashing was the extent of usefulness to which the badge reached.
"And how was your summer Professor?" Warm? Hers was. Wasn't everyone's after that horrid winter lock in? She could only assume.
Cosgrach was amazed at her easy manner. She didn't give a thought to that boy! It was impressive. Very impressive indeed. He looked at her in awe, not bothered to hide it, and could simply nod. Cosgrach was blessed with that talent too, luckily.
"Heheheh." This girl was a gem! He was glad Bentley had the wisdom not to accept her badge last year.

Not entirely sure about doing that? Was he serious? How would that not be the most brilliant of brilliant ideas?! It's be EPIC!.... He must have been destined for Pufferdom, but smart enough to con his way into Gryffindor. Yep. But then... hadn't he essentially done the same thing? Only he felt he was clearly more RAWR than Ben. Yep. "Uh huh..." was all he said to that.
Even the POTENTIAL of flying lessons didn't really lift his spirits. He knew how to fly, he wanted to know how to play sports on brooms, now THAT would be a lesson worth going to. "I heard the school brooms are old, out dated and are in crummy condition... is this true?" he asked, wanting verification. In which case he was certain he could get Emily to send the school an owl or Howler stating that he was to use his own broom based on the fact that the others were likely not safe enough to be flown. It was never a good sign when broom twigs started falling out at random on a flight, he'd read that much.
Zeke beamed. It was nice to meet him, he sposed, but Ben still seemed a bit of an oddball, all things considered and it didn't change anything as far as taste in quills went. "Thanks, it's great being a Lion." He felt he actually fit in, much more than he would have done in Ravenclaw.

"You went to the beach a lot? Epic. I didn't get to very often except that week Lottie and I hit California. Loooots of beaches, amusement parks, the works. Went skydiving with Aidan too and a few sleepovers at Cassia's--she's babysitting children now, I tried talking her out of it but she seems happy enough." Nothing more to be done about that. If her bestie wanted to hang around a bunch of children then that was all her.
"Do you know how they got rid of the chorts, Sir?" She might have been put off by the fact they didn't keep even ONE of them...maybe.
