The rickety wooden covered bridge has been standing for many, many years at Hogwarts, and remains the main entrance from the courtyard to the rest of the grounds. The bridge has faced plenty of damage and repair over the years so give it some respect and report anything wibbly-wobbly to the Groundskeeper.
Maggie hadn't even bothered getting changed. She was still wearing her school uniform even though she didn't have any more lessons today. But she'd just wanted to get out of the castle. And since she didn't know her way around yet, she had somehow ended up on this bridge. Not that she cared. It looked safe enough. Hopefully.
Holding onto the railing, Maggie pulled herself up a bit to be able to look down into gorge below. She breathed in deeply, somewhat comforted by the cold wind against her skin. And it was cold. So so so cold. What was UP with this weather?? Seriously? It wasn't even winter yet. She sighed, a frown flashing across her face.

Maddie had been out for a stroll when she noticed the smaller blonde on the bridge. The brunette picked up the nearest rock and walked out to where she was, tossing it over the railing and watching it free fall. "Careful you don't fall or that could be you." As if on cue, the rock hit the side of the gorge and the sound echoed faintly.
"You're a first year, yeah?" Hopefully not a Hufflepuff with a death wish because she was equipped for that, not today.

It had been a couple weeks now since she'd got here and somehow she'd managed to just...live and do what was expected of her. She'd tried to accept the whole magic thing but somehow...now...it had gotten a bit too much. Too crazy. Too-

Well SOMEONE was a bit jumpy. Maddie eyed the narrowed eyes and crossed arms with a slightly bemused expression and shrugged. "It was just some advice." Really, she hadn't meant to offend. "And I wasn't implying you'll fall because you're a first year. I don't think that sort of thing is dependent on your year." HOUSE maybe but not year.
Paris shuffled out the way of other students who were eager get on the bridge, not sparing them so much as a glance because he had found the girls that had left the note, and they were pretty. Why they wanted to meet him was still a mystery to the young boy.
They were giggling. Merlin, why where they giggling? Paris' cheeks flushed automatically and his eyes averted nervously when they whispered with each other. He distracted himself with ruffling his hair more and messing with his hat until he was being spoken to again, not too confident about this meeting.
"That's a nice name.... do you have a shorter one?" It was pretty - like her - but he wasn't going to be able to remember two separate ones, so maybe she wouldn't mind him using just one. "Hey, Sophie." She had an air of familiarity to her, but he couldn't place her and was too nervous to think much about it.
Shaking his head, he smiled a bit sheepishly. "No, it's huh.... hard to get around here. Still figuring the place out. You guys like hanging out here?" Was that why they picked it?

She could color code it and try her hand at making something more boy-like because she highly doubted he'd want it to be all pink and frilly. "Umm..." she glanced at Sophie. "Not together? I kinda like the idea of starting off the term here, which is what I did last term. But it's also got a nice view and I dunno.. it's just a nice place to view the grounds if you're not too familiar with them."

She was offering them both up - in the most obvious way she could without coming right out and saying it - to be his new cool friends.
Sophie, who avoided hanging out on this bridge after one foul interaction with one Cutty Mordaunt, just shook her head at the inquiry of whether she hung out there a lot or not. "Just run through here on my morning runs." Sometimes. Depended on how she felt.
WHY DID THIS GUY LOOK SO FAMILIAR? "What's your name?"

"I like CB." He said automatically. Paris liked names that didn't makes girls seem so.... girly. And Coral was a girly name for certain. It was bad enough she was so pretty and distracting, didn't need a name to throw him off too.
His nose wrinkled at the idea of using a map to get around, at least one that didn't he didn't draw himself. "No thanks, 'm workin on one that'll help me figure most of the place out." At the mention of a tour AND hanging out with them more, however, his eyes lit up. "Yes! I'd like that a lot." He wanted a lot of memories to tell everyone back home about.
Having been so nervous about this meeting in the first place, it hadn't occurred to Paris that they didn't know who he was, assuming they'd already gathered that information themselves. So when she asked about his name, his cheeks flushed again, but he managed to step closer to the girls and offer them a hand. "Sorreh, 'm Paris. Paris Sykes."

The girl's next sentence only got a nod in reply, seeing as she hadn't quite been able to follow. So she...HADN'T tried to insult her age then? Or had she? No. Maggie was pretty sure she hadn't. Err. Yeah. "Good." Yep.
That was a very good question. "Just making sure I get enough fresh air." Because it was healthy. And good for your...skin? Yes. Definitely. She was pretty sure she'd read that in a magazine somewhere. "You should try it some time." Maggie was still a little annoyed with the other girl for making her jump. She didn't like being sneaked up on.

Maddie smirked. This girl DID know that Maddie was outside TOO and therefore receiving JUST as much fresh air at the moment, right? Apparently not. And apparently she was still cross with her which the brunette found puzzling and amusing. The answer was both. Feelings were weird and people were awfully sensitive sometimes. The second year just couldn't understand it. "Sage advice," She replied solemnly, trying not to smile lest it made the first year more upset.
Propping her elbows up on the railing, Maddie glanced out at the scenery beyond the bridge and took a deep breath. Getting more fresh air, see? It was peaceful here. "Nah. I sound uneducated when I talk normally." She shrugged. "I try not to sound too Irish." No big deal. Especially at Durmstrang, where most of the kids were Slavic or some sort. Irish was not something she wanted to seem. She glanced over at ISla again. "I..I'm all right. I miss Mam and Dad...and my dog, Roddy." She sighed. "And I miss Eddie--Avto--Zach--" she named some of her friends from Durmstrang. "Eddie the most." She bit her lip and blushed. Isla shrugged. She knew what Eden meant by living on the 'wild side'. "What the craziest thing you've done?" She asked. "Mine is sky diving probably or swimming with sharks or jumping off a cliff...actually, I can't really choose." She laughed. She hoped Eden actually meant it by that she would save her if it came to one of those situations. She knew she would do the same.
A girl who enjoyed pranks? Hmm. Well she knew that she needed more people to help her out with the pranks. So maybe she'd look into meeting up with this Bianca girl. Not get caught. "My pranks aren't supposed to be mean or anything, just funny." She shrugged. "So getting caught shouldn't be a problem, at least I don't think and I have tons of ideas, but they're in my notepad back in my dorm." Sure she had ideas in her brain, but they were all laid out perfectly in her notepad and she wanted to show Eden the full prank rather than just bits and pieces that she could remember.

"Why not? Irish accents are so cool! And you don't sound uneducated." Isla smiled. She knew how it felt though, missing everyone back home and not being able to see them. He was impressed, she could tell by the look on his face and it had the Gryffindor positively beaming. Who said being the bigger person never paid off? They lied--or no, they told the truth but she liked impressing people so...yeah. "Life's a lot simpler when you pretend idiots don't exist...and the Headmistress unofficially said I could silence him next time so............" In case he felt like giving another fake detention. They could skip right over that part and get to the 'brilliant wand work Cambridge, take 5 points'. Heh, she liked the sound of that very much.
"You went to the beach a lot? Epic. I didn't get to very often except that week Lottie and I hit California. Loooots of beaches, amusement parks, the works. Went skydiving with Aidan too and a few sleepovers at Cassia's--she's babysitting children now, I tried talking her out of it but she seems happy enough." Nothing more to be done about that. If her bestie wanted to hang around a bunch of children then that was all her.
"Do you know how they got rid of the chorts, Sir?" She might have been put off by the fact they didn't keep even ONE of them...maybe.
Annie said that? Cosgrach chuckled softly - she was that type of person to say it. He grinned, then. "Glad to hear that. Will make my life easier next time too." Because the way she said it made him be SURE that she would hex Kevin again and again. If his boss approved..?

"We've gone white water rafting--me and me' dad--" she nodded. "It was hard to stay on the floats BUT--it was fun. And dangerous." She grinned wickedly. "But that was a few years ago..." Before things had gotten worse with her family.

Wait...Eden though he was cute too?!? She had to keep an eye out for her then. Maybe Eden was the girl Ceo had written that love letter to, she doubted it, but maybe. "Psh, a lot of guys don't and I'm perfectly happy and content with them not liking me." She smiled. "But I know a lot of guys like you. Like Phoenix." She said, raising her eyebrows up and down. Mwahaha. "Well even if he's not your boyfriend, then you have Phoenix if it doesn't work out with this Eddie guy." She nodded.
Maddie smirked. This girl DID know that Maddie was outside TOO and therefore receiving JUST as much fresh air at the moment, right? Apparently not. And apparently she was still cross with her which the brunette found puzzling and amusing. The answer was both. Feelings were weird and people were awfully sensitive sometimes. The second year just couldn't understand it. "Sage advice," She replied solemnly, trying not to smile lest it made the first year more upset.
Propping her elbows up on the railing, Maddie glanced out at the scenery beyond the bridge and took a deep breath. Getting more fresh air, see? It was peaceful here. Quiet and not a many students as the other spots on the grounds. Good think spot, this was. She's almost forgotten she had company. Almost.

Maggie just watched the other girl for a moment. Then nodded slowly. "Yes. What's your name?" How old? Year? House? Popularity?
"It really does..." Maya beamed, taking a step closer to the edge of the bridge so that she could see better. She hadn't really thought of the views at Beauxbatons for a long time. But she hadn't been there since was 11, so she had probably gotten used to them. But it was pretty here. And she could really see it. "I bet it looks really pretty with the snow and stuff." Although she had heard about last term, so maybe not so pretty. She didn't want it to be cold for the whole of term.
Hearing the girl speak again she turned around, so that they could talk. "Oh. i'm Maya." She hadn't really made too many friends yet, so she was hoping that maybe she could make a friend now. "Oh... I'm a Slytherin."
Turning around to look at the lake some more Vinnie thought of how the lake had become her fave place....to do basically anything. Read, relax....raaare case of tanning. Pale was more her kind of thing but some sun never hurt....anyway she was drifting off. "I love snow, but i guess i am a little traumatized after last term." The brunette wasnt sure if the other girl knew about what had happened...even though almost everyone did, but still. It had been horrible to be stuck inside and kind of scared....hopefully this winter was gonna be more enjoyable...and shorter.
"Hi there Maya." So many people started at Hogwarts this term, it was incredible. The Slytherin had changed a lot during the last year and now she loved meeting knew people. After all they had to spent quite some time together. "You're Slytherin too?What year?"

Maddie kept her eyes focused somewhere off in the distance as she considered whether or not she cared that the first year was enjoying Hogwarts so far. It was probably just as well given things had a tendency to go downhill, or so it seemed given this place's history. The blonde might as well enjoy it while it was like this, peaceful.

Lex took a deep breath to 'slow down' as he said but there was a grin returning to her face, "Yup, just me and Lottie. Our first trip alone to celebrate us both being of age and all. You should have seen it. We were uber responsible...sorta....kinda....sure--and it was EPIC." If she closed her eyes she could still see the sunsets and the flashing lights in the city, the works. The grin dimmed however as she got to the next part. "Er....no. Not my boyfriend. That would never happen in a billion years and it's a horrible idea that should never be revisited." She said with a solemn nod, remembering the most humiliating day of her entire life and it being linked to her telling him she liked him. Never. Again. "He's one of my bestfriends." And another nod.
As for Cassia..."I have no idea but that doesn't change the fact it's a bad idea. Children are a bad idea."

Oh Merlin, this was a really nice place. And it was a really nice bridge. Nice and....wooden and...stuff...
Josie couldn't really describe the bridge, other than using the words..wooden & extensively long. She had definitely never been by this part of the castle before, let alone the grounds. She definitely knew that she'd only managed to see a tiny fraction of this castle in her three years of being here so far & was beginning to wonder if she'd ever have the opportunity to see any more of it. Perhaps she could before she graduated, right? It might work, she had a long way to go before she graduated!
But anyways, she was really happy to have discovered this bridge seeing as to how it was only by chance actually. She'd just finished visiting the owlery to visit Edmund & normally she took the usual path back up to the castle, but somehow she discovered this bridge..and here she was.
Oh, did she mention how beautiful the view was by the way? A little high up to say the least, but beautiful...with a bit of a windy feel to it, but also relaxing too..
